Excess Consumption of RM during GR(101-543) of SCPO

Dear friends,
Can u help me in this regard pl. Till 02.05.2011 everything was fine. From 03.05.2011 onwards while user creating GR against a Subcontract Scheduling Agreement it takes around 50 times more raw material (50 times more than the BOM qty) for a piece of FG
in 543 movement. BOM is ok. How it happens suddenly. Kindly let me know what may be the reasons.
Regards,
ASK

Hi,
Pl. check whether consumption quantity of child item is editable at the time of GR.
If this qty is edited manually, this can happen.

Amol

  • Excessive hard drive activity during downloads

I'm wondering if anyone else gets excessive hard drive activity during iTunes downloads?
I've just downloaded an album and while the download was active, access to the relevant hard drive ran at ~90% access time, with an occasional drop between tracks. Pause the download, activity stops; restart and back up to 90%. As soon as the download finishes, again, back to normal.
Have tested downloading files to the same hard drive using other apps and it doesn't happen (eg. downloaded the OpenOffice installer with a browser and activity is down around 1-5%.
Using iTunes 11.0.2.25 on Windows 8 64 bit (plenty of RAM available during the download). Hard drive is an NTFS formatted SATA 3.5" (ie. bog standard non-SSD hard drive, nothing unusual).
Is anyone else seeing this? Wondering if it's a common bug or specific to this machine. If yes, is there anything we can do or is it just a bug in itunes?

    +1.
In fact my downloads appear to be I/O bound - they come no where near to max'ing out my Internet connection. It's way faster to download stuff directly to my iPad.

  • Batch Determination during MIGO Movement 543 O

    Dear All SAP Gurus,
I want to know about batch determination during MIGO transaction for subcontracting cycle , movemnt type 543 O -consumption for parts provided to vendor.
In Brief: Suppose clients executing subcontracting cycle and send the RM/PM against subcontracting PO to vendor. At the time of MIGO we have to enter the batch number of RM/PM which we had sent to vendor. But when we serach the batches available at the vendor it shows number of batches. My client want batch determination process so that system will take the batch number accordingle po as we sent material with reference to po.
Please suggest in this matter or if any one has solution please tell.
    Thanks in advance
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
Go to SPRO > Logistics - General > Batch Management > Batch Determination and Batch Check > Batch Search Procedure Allocation and Check Activation > Allocate IM Search Procedure/Activate Check > Here assign Batch Search Procedure "ME0001" to Movement Type 543 O
Then go to MBC1 and maintain condition record for Strategy Type ME02 i.e. Plant and here keep selection method as "O"
In MIGO, click on "Stock Determination" button for automatic batch determination.
    Hope it helps!

  • Usage of MRP Procedures in Consumption Based Planning during Implementation

We have following procedures in CBP:
    1. Reorder Point Planning- Manual and Automatic
    2. Forecast based Planning
    3. Time phased Planning.
In SAP implementations, which of these procedure is mostly used in companies in real time.
Though the CBP planning node is in MM SPRO and  MM study material also contains CBP. During implementations, for CBP the responsibility rests with MM consultant or PP Consultant or both.
Please share your views on this.

    Dear ,
Let me share my views on this as we are runing CBP-Forcast base planning  in our trading business .
Decision on CBP-Forecast base planning method are based on the following criteria
    1.Stockable and low value material
2.Fast Moving with good sales pattern ( Trend Analysis , Historical Trend analysis on Product Group , Statistical Sales analysis )
3.Inventory turn around based on the monthly physical inventory and sales
4.Good service level percentage over an period .
    5.Consumption pattern .
Decision on CBP-Re-order point planning method are based on the following criteria
    1. Material which are higher valu and Non Stockable
    2. Customer oriented traded goods
    3. Strategic vendor with good Sales pattern .
4.Re-order Level based on Sales Forecast (Manual or Automatic )
In SAP implementations, which of these procedure is mostly used in companies in real time : It is based on the business requirement (Trading /Manufacturing ) .Mostly Trading business goes for CBP-Forecast Base planning method (MRP Type -VV) IF THE MATERIALS HAS GOOD CONSUMPTION PATTERN OVER A PERIOD OF TIME .
MRP is both the part of Supply Chain Planning and Manufactruing . Material master parameters are maintained by MM .CBP is one kind of MRP where Demand Management comes into PP whereas after MRP run , procurement proposal handeled by MM.So there is no hard and fast rule that it is only part of PP.It is the combination of MM and PP.
Hope this will help you to analysise your requirement .

  • Consumption posting in Production order for 543 movment type - reg

    Hi,
We are in the process of upgrading our system from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0
There is a process in which Production order gets created with a child component ratio and parent component ration of 1:1, ME58, ME21N, MB1B ( for providing the child componets with 541 mvt type ). During issue i am increasing the issuing qty to 6 say for 5 header material.
When a Goods receipt is done for the first GR ( 2 components ) 543 mvt type happens with 2 child componets consumtpion, for the second GR ( 2 components ) 543 mvt type happens with 2 child components and finally when final GR ( 1 component)  is done 543 mvt types happens with 2 child componets ( ie 6 -2-2 ). This process happens succesfully without any issue in ECC 5.0 whereas it fails to do it in ECC 6.0,
Instead of taking 2 componets for the final GR, the system still consumes only 1 component as maintained in production order.
Please suggest with any std configuration or OSS notes to fulfill this particular requirment.
    Regards,
    RitiG

    RitiG,
Unable to understand, please reexplain. As you are mixing up Production and Subcontract scenario, what is what?

  • How to set the a quantity during MIGO 101 for Production Order

    Hi Gurus
    My issue is very easy.
Since few weeks we execute 101-MIGO directly on production dep.t at the end of every shift.
When MIGO is called the system propose the residual qty (noy yet Posted) for the PP Order.
Becuase for a PP Order, many 101 movement have to be posted (during differents shifts), I need to clear the qty proposed in field GOITEM-ERFMG. This is becuase sometime users post a single Movement for the total residual quantity !!!!
Is there an Exit or a Badi or a customizing setting is avaliable to do it ???
Thank-You in advance for your help.
    Claudio

    Hi Claudio,
A 101 movement for the production order takes place when
    - You receive the production order via MB31
    or
    - Confirm the last operation which has PP03 control key
A backflush is done only for the components called by the production order & not for the header material.
Hope the above answers your query.
    Regards,
    Rahul.

  • Possible excess consumption of RAM in Xfce 4.10

For a few days I have noticed that every time I boot ArchLinux with Xfce 4.10 is consuming me just charge significantly RAM desktop completely that...  I do not remember exactly how much memory consumed when you install Xfce, but now nothing more I load consumes about 400Mb ram. previously had few applets on the top panel monitoring such as CPU, transfers from the network interface and other things, delete them all!. remove all my settings and restart Xfce to default settings, with all this, Xfce is significant consimiendo ram.
As I said before, I do not remember how much memory consumed when you install Xfce, but I think those 363 Mb of RAM (500Mb previously over before deleting applets) is excessive memory consumption. I have Ubuntu 13.04 on another hard drive and surprisingly Unity consumes me 280MB of ram ... I can not believe that Xfce consume more ram to Unity.
Do you know of any documentation or similar for Xfce and make optimize use less RAM? Is it possible to be a bug reported?

  • Blocking duplicate batches during GR (101's)

    Hi All;
I have a requirement to prevent duplicate batch postings during Goods Receipt (101).
    My scenario is:
A GR (101) posting will be performed for material “A” using Batch “B” with quantity 5tons.
Another incorrect movement (duplicate – 101mvt) will be entered with the same combination (material “A” using Batch “B” with quantity 10tons.
I need to block the duplicate 101mvt. However, it must still be possible to reverse (102mvt) the original 101 in case the qty was entered incorrectly.
The unique check should therefore be on Material movement, Material & Batch combination.
Also, if we decide to use a report to reveal duplicates (instead of system block), which tables will be useful? I’ve investigated MCHB, but only the qty is updated (no duplicate record created). The only table I can think of is MSEG (and that’s a lot of data to search…)
    Thanks

    Hi,
You may maintain the message M7 668 as Error (E) in the path: OLMB - Define Attributes of System Messages -  with a message version, say Z1 as shown below:
Now, go to SU3 transaction for the user profile of the users who are doing 101, and maintain the parameter ID: MSV with value as the message version (z1) as shown below:
Now, the message M7 668 will be error message for only the users with the above parameter ID and will be warning message for all others. Please check the same and revert back.

  • Trying to understand the 101 543 subcontract postings

I am activating subcontract functions in a retail environment.  Every thing is working however I do not understand why SAP is posting the consumption of the component with 3 line on the accounting document that net to zero.  EXAMPLE:
Itm PK Account    Cost Ctr   Account short text   Assignment         Tx           Amount
       1  89   603          888        Inventory-Interface  20080820                                1.22
       2  96   3910                     A/P unmatched GR/IR  20080820                          0.76-
       3  91   600          888        Inventory-Cost Var   20080820                              1.22-
       4  86   600          888        Inventory-Cost Var   20080820                               0.76
       5  99   933                       Raw Mat Inventory    20080820                              0.46-
       6  81   600          888        Inventory-Cost Var   20080820                               0.46
If anyone can help me explain line 3, 4, and 6.  Since they net to zero why are they here.  FYI, we use moving average price.  Please help me understand as I am not an accountant and the controller is asking me why?

    Joe,
The posting are controlled by the automatic account configuration in transaction OBYC.  You change which accounts are posted to here.  The multiple postings may be a breakdown of the material postings associated with the components sent and the material recieved. Hope this helps.

  • Excessive (?) cluster delays during shutdown of storage enabled node.

We are experiencing significant delays when shutting down a storage enabled node. At the moment, this is happening in a benchmark environment. If these delays were to occur in production, however, they would push us well outside of our acceptable response times, so we are looking for ways to reduce/eliminate the delays.
    Some background:
    - We're running in a 'grid' style arrangement with a dedicated cache tier.
    - We're running our benchmarks with a vanilla distributed cache -- binary storage, no backups, no operations other than put/get.
    - We're allocating a relatively large number of partitions (1973), basing that number on the total potential cluster storage and the '50MB per partition' rule.
    - We're using JSW to manage startup/shutdown, calling DefaultCacheServer.main() to start the cache server, and using the shutdown hook (from the operational config) to shutdown the instance.
    - We're currently running all of the dedicated cache JVMs on a single machine (that won't be the case in production, of course), with a relatively higher ratio of JVMs to cores --> about 2 to 1.
    - We're using a simple benchmarking client that is issuing a combination of puts/gets against the distributed cache. The ids for these puts/gets are randomized (completely synthetic, i know).
    - We're currently handling all operations on the distributed service thread (i.e. thread count is zero).
    What we see:
    - When adding a new node to a cluster under steady load (~50% CPU idle avg) , there is a very slight degradation, but only very slight. There is no apparent pause, and the maximum operation times against the cluster might barely exceed ~100 ms.
    - When later removing that node from the cluster (kill the JVM, triggering the coherence supplied shutdown hook), there is an obvious, extended pause. During this time, the maximum operation times against the cluster are as high as 5, 10, or even 15 seconds.
At the beginning of the pause, a client will see this message:
    2010-07-13 22:23:53.227/55.738 Oracle Coherence GE 3.5.3/465 <D5> (thread=Cluster, member=10): Member 8 left service Management with senior member 1
During the length of the pause, the cache server logging indicates that primary partitions are being shuffled around.
When the partition shuffle is complete, the clients become immediately responsive, and display these messages:
    2010-07-13 22:23:58.935/61.446 Oracle Coherence GE 3.5.3/465 <D5> (thread=Cluster, member=10): Member 8 left service hibL2-distributed with senior member 1

Note that there was almost nothing actually in the entire cluster-wide cache at this point -- maybe 10 MB of data at most.
Any thoughts on how we could eliminate (or nearly eliminate) these pauses on shutdown?

Increasing the number of threads associated with the distributed service does not seem to have a noticable effect. I might try it in a larger scale test, just to make sure, but initial indications are not positive.
From the client side, the operations seem hung behind the DistributedCache$BinaryMap.waitForPartitionRedistribution() method. The call stack is listed below.

  • EXCISE+EXCESS CONSUMPTION +BY-PRODUCT

    Hi all ,
I have got Raw material in KG , managed in batches each of certain kg weight.
    when I procure i avail credit on the material & part 1 & 2 are updated .
when i consume this material against a production order , i may consume certain kgs of this material from one or more batches, partially or fully.
For certain reasons , I WANT TO BOOK THE COMPLETE BATCH  AS CONSUMPTION IN EXCISE( even if consumed partially ) AND the balance actually existing physical (partial batch) material shold be available for subsequent use in inventory.
To achieve this i wanna proceed as under :
1.Procure 1000 kg material and update entries in part 1 excise register with 1000kgs.
2.In production order , use 700kg of material BUT BOOK CONSUMPTION OF 1000kgs .Excise registers show consumption of 1000kgs , hence balance qty is nil.
3.As i want to use the remaining 300kgs i create a BY PRODUCT ( a different material) in production order of qty 300kgs.
    MY QUESTION IS :
As my raw material  has a price control of "V" that is moving average , I want to maintain the byproduct with a moving average price .HOW CAN I DO IT ???
IF U CAN THINK OF ANY OTHER WAY OF TACKLING THIS PROBLEM , PLS DO REPLY ...
    Regards ,
    Anis
Edited by: anis bazmi on Oct 14, 2008 6:17 AM

u r doing it through by product but is that again going to the PART1 ?
if so then no use of doing that.
for biproduct if u want to maitain the moving avg. price the make the Z material type where in OMS2 maitain price control as V.
    or
    alt solution
convert material to material by 309 movt type .
prerequisite is u have to assign this movement type as involve in excise.
    E.g.
X material 1000 Kg converted to Y 1000 Kg. then ur register shows the consumption of 1000kg
then use that Y as and when u want.
maitain both as RM (with price control as V)

  • Problem  in iOS 7, high battery consumption and excessive consumption of data exchange accounts

yesterday I upgrade to iOS 7, then I started to feel warm on the iphone and review data consumed and increasingly gained more, check detailed consumption and note that consumption was generated in "Exchange accounts" How I can fix this?

Try removing and re adding the exchange accounts.
If that doesnt resolve it then reset the phone and see hwo that goes.
You may even need to restore the iPhone from a backup in iTunes.

  • Subcontract raw material consumption adjustment

    Dear All,
I have made GR for subcontract material as below
    1) out put material 100 pcs (101 mov type)
Input materisl 10 kgs (543 Mov type)
but later i got to know that what ever input mateirial was consumed in actual is higher
so actully counsution need to be 30 kgs
so pl guide me how to pass this balance 20 kgs entry for input mateirial over consution.
    Regards,
    Vimlesh

Use Subsequent Adjustment function in MIGO. 121 Movement will hit here.
Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting .This movement type cannot be entered manually.  With a subsequent adjustment for a subcontract order it is possible to correct the consumption of components. In this case, the material produced by the supplier is credited with the excess consumption / under-consumption.  For this reason, if there is a subsequent adjustment, an item is generated for the produced material using movement movement type 121.
Movement type 121 does not have a reversal movement type. Possible special stock indicators: O, E, Q

  • Movement type 101 for receiving plant for returning stock

    all,
This may sound a silly question, but I just want to double check and double confirm.
Our plant supplying stock to another plant (let's call plant B), however, sometimes the plant B will return back unacceptable stock back to us. What plant B do is that they wll create a return PO with flag on the return indicator. Next they will do a picking/packing, and perform a GR (i.e. movement type 161).
Next, we will perform a 101 goods receipt into our system.
At this point, my question are:
1 - during GR - 101 of this bad quanlity stock, can I do a GR into BLOCKED STOCK TYPE by select the dropdown block stock in MIGO, will system accept.
    2 - instead of performing 101 GR, can I perform a 103 (i.e. GR into GR-blocked stock)?
3 - our system OPPI setup is that the blocked stock is not taken into MRP calculation, thus, both of above method will prohibit them in MRP calculation. correct?
    thanks.

    Hi
1 - during GR - 101 of this bad quality stock, can I do a GR into BLOCKED STOCK TYPE by select the drop down block stock in MIGO, will system accept.
DO goes to Quality inspection stock or unrestricted stock  and from there it should be transfered to blocked stock but directly it will not go to blocked stock in receiving plant
    2 - instead of performing 101 GR, can I perform a 103 (i.e. GR into GR-blocked stock)?
    Not sure
