Exch 2013 Installation Error "Database is mandatory on UserMailbox"
A previous admin installed a trail edition of Exchange 2013 in our 2007 environment for testing. When he tried to uninstall it there was an issue and it left some Exchange AD debris in the Active Directory structure.
Surprise, but now he is nowhere to be found.........
Now the company is going to upgrade and we cannot install Exchange 2013 because of these mailbox errors. The old server and database has been cleared out of ADSI and the one user that was in the old 2013 database has had all the Exchange attributes
cleared from their AD profile.
We are still getting the "Database is mandatory on UserMailbox" error when I try to install Exch2013 on the new server. I tend to think there is some other mail-enabled object in AD that is causing the conflict, but I cannot find it.\
Obviously I cannot nuke the entire ADSI Exchange folder, because I still need 2007 to work. :-)
Any help would be appreciated......
Exchangesetup.log file should indicate which mailbox is that. Then rehome it using adsiedit homeMDB attribute on E2007 database, or perhaps remove that, if it is system mailbox...

However you won't be able to use Powershell to get info as you don't have any Exchange 2013 server in org...

Exch 2013 Installation and configuration from a SBS point of view?
I was just wondering if anyone has stumbled upon any good "how-to" sites for those of us that (up to now) have been used to using SBS servers but now find ourselves needing to go the manual route with separate new servers (domain controller and
Exchange 2013 server)?
I'm trudging along with my first Server 2012 R2 and Exchange 2013 SP1 installation and configuration, but since I'm used to things configuring themselves in SBS, the piecemeal approach to 2013 is presenting challenges for me.
Considering the market for SBS is small business (and for me, typical 20 users), I'm looking for some direction and help in configuring these new servers to act like SBS 2011 replacement servers, with similar capabilites, etc...from the viewpoint of an SBS
administrator, per se.
Maybe nothing exists and we have to start from scratch, but I was hoping with as big as the SBS market was, there would be some useful info out there with the realization that we're coming from SBS.

i have a server running server standard 2012 r2 recently upgraded from server standard 2003
it is a dc,dchp,dns.
i am trying to install exchange server 2013 standard during the installation i get the following error message.
and am unable to continue.

Agree with Amit. And I also find some information for your reference:
Error 8224 is easily resolved by checking the Windows Firewall Profile and either.
A. Disable Domain Profile firewall as well as Private and Public Profles.
B. Disable or turn off Windows Firewall and change the state of the service to Manual.

I try to install Exchange Server 2013 on a fresh install of Windows Server 2012.
Windows Server 2012, have already install on it:

AdrianI am experiencing the same problem except that mine is definitely NOT a domain controller. The error code indicates that the process is attempting to grant Network Access to the Certificate during Setup, but fails.
"...Could not grant Network Service access to the certificate"
Exchange 2013 is being installed on Windows Server 2012 R2 but it is a member server with no domain responsibilities. Granting rights to the certificate during the Setup process is the root of the problem.

Lync Server 2013 Installation Error

I am using my AD in Windows Azure VMs. I created new VM of A3 (4 cores, 7 GB Memory) Windows Server 2012 R2, Port 1433 MSSQL added, made it a member of Domain and planned to install first Lync Server 2013 on it.
In "Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System", got an Red Coloured text "An error
occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."
I have not enabled monitoring and archiving server in topology builder. I added "Network Service" and assign "Full Control" in Security Permissions of "C:\CsData" and "C:\LyncShare".
I executed the SQL Setup Wizard and upgraded any instance to 2012.
Please guide.

is this a quite clear answer:
Did you saw the error message: This product cannot be installed on a domain controller?
Please use a different Server, than it will work, it is not supported to be installed on a domain controller.

Exchange 2013 SP1 Installation Error in "Mailbox Role: Transport service"
I tried an installation last week on a Windows Server 2008 R2 but was unable to get it to work. With the value of hindsight, I am inclined to think the error was more with the Web Site making EAC unavailable. I subsequently got it installed in my personal
lab environment by creating a VM with a fresh install of Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
With this information I then went back to the customer's site and installed a clean version of Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 in a virtual machine under Hyper-V. After installing all the prerequisites the install appeared to be going just fine but then in failed
in Step 7 with the following error:

Agree with Amit's suggestion. Please use the following cmdlet to re-home the arbitration mailbox which does not have database attribute stamped and check the result.
Set-Mailbox "FederatedEmail.4c1f4d8b-8179-4148-93bf-00a95fa1e042" -Arbitration -Database "xxx"

Exchange Server 2013: Installation failed while installing Mailbox role.

Mailbox role installation failed. I tried to remove and reinstall so many times but it still fails. (but the uninstall is complete)

See if deleting the account SystemMailbox{bb558c35-97f1-4cb9-8ff7-d53741dc928c} in ADUC (you should find it in the Users Container) and then rerun
setup.exe /preparead helps you solve your problem.

Oracle 11G database for 64 bit windows installation error
Hi,
I downloaded the 11G 64bit for windows and unzipped the files into one folder and ran the setup.exe as an administrator. It opened up the java screen and I chose, create and configure a database. Next screen I chose, Desktop Class, when I click next it dies. It does not show me teh next screen. I already have 3 instance running fine on the same server of ECC 5.0 which i installed with oracle 9 same database.
Please help me if you have any clue about the same my OS is HPUX-11.23.

Cs6 installation error, inconsistency in the installer database, exit code 15
Hi,
I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 on my new Mac.
After 2% have been installed, I get the error message "CS6 installation error, inconsistency in the installer database."
The error summary file shows exit code 15 and 0 fatal errors/errors/warnings.
I have seen other threads in this forum with the same error and I have tried the suggestions made there but so far, no luck.
My Photoshop CS6 is a downloaded version from the Adobe webpage. Everything works well until the actual installation starts.
These are the actions I have tried:
1. Restart and reinstall
2. Adobe cleaner tool (no result since there was nothing to clean)
3. I have deactivated the software from my old computer
4. Tried to install in safe mode
5. I have been in touch with Adobe support, did not get much support at all. After some time I was told to start a discussion in this forum.

I downloaded the latest version of the Adobe Application Manager. But for some reason, when I start the application, the Creative Cloud application starts... I don't know what I am doing wrong in this step. I do not use creative cloud and Photoshop CS6 is not available for installation there, only Photoshop CC.
How do I install the software through Adobe Application Manager and not the installer that was provided with the download of Photoshop CS6?
