Exchange 2007 HUB Server Faulting application edgetransport.exe

Hello,
I'm having wired problem with my Exchange Server "Hub transport". it keeps queuing the mails and SMTP Gateway unable to send them to the Exchange HUB Server.
Environment:
Exchange Mailbox Role on separate server
Exchange HUB/CAS on separate server
IMSS Trend Micro as Edge SMTP Transport Server.
Faulting application edgetransport.exe, version 8.1.436.0 error keeps coming in the event viewer.
I have stopped the MS Exchange Services and Deleted/Renamed the Queue Directory Under C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\TransportRoles\data\Queue. When I started the services again, new Queue Directory created and mail flow started again.
When I try to access the Queue Viewer in Exchange,  got the following error;
Any help would be appreciated.
edgetransport (6376) Transport Mail Database: Database 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\TransportRoles\data\Queue\mail.que': While attempting to move to the next or previous node in a B-Tree, the database engine skipped over 796 non-visible nodes

  • Removing Exchange 2007 hub server

Hi, my company has last remaining hub 2007 server while the rest is already migrated to Hub 2010 servers. All hub servers subscribed to Edge 2007 servers. i have issue when i want to remove last hub 2007 servers with error like "This
computer is configured as a source transport server for 1 connector(s) in the organization. These must be moved or deleted before Setup can continue". i read other post that i need to remove 'send connectors' from hub 2007. Do i need to remove
edge subscriptions too in hub 2007 server ? If i remove send and egde subscription from hub 2007 server, is it the action will impact the hub 2010 servers ?
2nd question, let say if i want to remove edge server, do i need to re-create send and receive connectors in hub 2010 servers?

If you are removing edge servers, you need to configure your systems so that Internet email bypasses them (in both directions).  In answer to your #2 above, your send and receive connectors have to be configured for this
before you remove the edge servers.  Whether you create new ones or modify existing ones for this depends on how the rest of your architecture is designed.  Once this is done, you can remove your edge subscriptions and uninstall your
    edge servers.

  • Faulting application crw32.exe,version 11.0.0.895, faulting module crqe.dll

    Hello,
I am modifying an existing report to inlcude a stored procedure.  The existing report access several tables, link and formulate the fields.  I added the new stored procedure, link it with one of existing tables included in the report, and add a new group summation using the new field returned by stored procedure.  When I run the report with the new changes, the Crystal Report seems processing data for a while (as the SQL profiler shows the stored procedure was executed successfully), then it suddenly crashed.  The complete error message in the event log is "Faulting application crw32.exe, version 11.0.0.895, faulting module crqe.dll, version 11.0.0.1282, fault address 0x000a4d5c".
    Platform informatin:
    - Crystal Report XI version 11.0.0.895
    - SQL 2005

Any help to narrow down the issue would be highly appreciated.

  • Faulting application java.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll,...

We have a customer that has been receiving the following error for the last 6 to 8 weeks (about once or twice a week) while running our application:
Faulting application java.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000449f7
Our application is running on Java 1.4.2_04-b05 and uses Tomcat 4.1.30 (or thereabouts). The OS is Windows 2003 Server. We have many other customers running the application on the same version of Java and Tomcat on a variety of OS versions, but have not seen this problem before.
We have replaced the java .exe's and .dll's to make sure one had not been corrupted, but to no avail.
There is another similar thread that has no resolution already out there:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9961112
but I wanted to put some Duke dollars on this post, so I posted it separately.
If anyone has seen this problem and found some way around it (no matter how severe the remedy) please respond.
    Thanks.

do you see any core/dump files??

  • Faulting application tomcat.exe, version 1.1.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll,

    All,
My application is running in a Tomcat, JBoss environment. Occassionally Tomcat crashes in jvm.
    The error is:
Faulting application tomcat.exe, version 1.1.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0015405e.
The OS is Windows Server 2003.

Has anyone seen this? I saw a thread where a number of people had this problem but no solution was posted.
    Is there any fix available?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1.4.2_03 is very old at this point. 1.4.2_17, the latest release has many, many, many fixes. Moving to this latest release may solve this problem:

  • Faulting application rfcexec.exe, faulting module ntdll.dll

On a dev PI 7.1 SPS 8 server (Windows Server 2003, MS SQL 2008 DB, single host) I am getting this error in the Windows Application Log:
Faulting application rfcexec.exe, version 7100.80.14.21962, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4455, fault address 0x000000000003bbfb.
I have not been able to find anything specific on OSS or Google about it.
I have updated the Visual C++ files to 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update, patch 8 but this did not resolve the issue.
Any idea what it causing it?
    Thanks.

    Hi Paul,
besides ensuring your latest latest DLL, as specific in note 684106, i.e latest executables, latest DLL library,
I have no further idea. This could be compatibiltity issue with microsoft platform.
Maybe can open a case with Microsoft, because ntdll.dll is from Microsoft, not SAP.
some registry cleaning program, to scan all your dlls, identify and eliminate problematic dlls, could be helpful....probably.

Recently I installed certain windows security updates, and after restarting I started getting this error and not able to start MMC.

  • Faulting application acrodist.exe

I have installed Acrobat 8 Professional on a Windows 2003 server to run Acrobat Distiller. Currently, I am running an MS-DOS batch file that calls "acrodist.exe" to create a large PDF file from a Post Script file with an Administrative task on the Windows 2003 server. It seems that the call to "acrodist.exe" is being passed over and the large PDF file is not created. Listed below is the error from the Application Event Log:
    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Application Error
    Event Category: (100)
    Event ID: 1000
    Date: 2/25/2008
    Time: 8:00:37 AM
    Description:
Faulting application acrodist.exe, version 8.0.0.456, faulting module AcroDistDLL.dll,
    version 8.0.0.456, fault address 0x000ca1f6.
This is a nightly report process that needs to run consistently in order to send out two sets of reports to our customers. Please advise on next diagnostic steps or any advice on solving this problem.

Acrobat Professional is not licensed nor designed to be run as a server application.
You can install Acorbat Professional on desktop computer and run distiller with "Watched Files" located on servers.
It should be noted that Micro$oft is also preventing the use of desktop applications on servers by not including or renaming certain desktop services.

We run a large Citrix Xenapp estate based on Citrix XenApp 4.5 x64  technology in a 80 server farm with Windows Server 2003 x64 O/S.
We have recently experienced issues with thin client users using having their Adobe Reader version 9.5.0 crash whilst trying to print.
We un-install and re-install Adove Reader and the problem goes away for a little while but comes back soon with over 45 users using each Citrix server.
This is the Microsoft error code which is not very helpful

The only trigger appears to be the Microsoft Patch Tuesday roundup from December.
However rolling back these patches does not resolve the problem?
Has anyone had a similar problem?
    Anyone got any ideas?

    Hi,
The ADMPlugin is used by Acrobat or Reader to create dialog boxes. The reason for crash could be that the ADMPlugin file is either corrupt or their is some problem with the permissions of the file.
To resolve this issue you can fully repair Reader installation. Steps to do the same are mentioned below.
    Close any running reader process.
    Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0
    Delete Reader folder.
Now try repairing the reader installtion from Control Panel->Add or remove Programs.
    This should resovle the issue.
If crash occours even after repair then please share the MD5 and permissions of the ADMPlugin.apl file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\SPPlugins.

  • Exchange 2007 edge server with ironport

I currently have a frontend exch 2003 and backend exch 2003 server with ironport. my mx record is the ironport which then forwards into the backend server. The frontend server was only used for owa and using outlook with https connection to exchange.
With 2007 it has more functionality and the front end server is now called an edge server. Should I have mx go there then to ironport or vice versa? I'm thinking ironport to edge server to hub transport server. Is that correct? will it work?
anyone have exchange 2007 edge server with ironport? what are you doing?

well that wouldve been nice to know a little earlier. anyway I have ironport successfully sending mail to the edge server who sends it on to the hub transport server. right now the client access server is on the same as the hub but can be easily moved later. this is for very few people so its not like I need to off load anything as its a powerful dual core server. anyway now with the edge server I can test how effective it is versus the ironport. I'll let everyone know when you can ditch the ironport for msft's edge server. (Don't hold your breath).

  • ITunes Won't open in XP - error "Faulting application itunes.exe"

I had to reload factory settings to solve another problem, now iTunes won't launch - I get the "windows needed to close the application..."
error is "faulting application itunes.exe, version 6.0.5.20, fauling module unknown, verion 0.0.0. fault address 0x100001...

hmmmm. it's not the error message that i usually associate the following problem with, but it's worth checking on.
does your QuickTime currently launch? (itunes needs a functioning QuickTime in order to work properly.)
if it doesn't launch properly, let's try a standalone QuickTime 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention itunes 6
if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

  • Faulting application iexplore.exe, faulting module jvm.dll

I see there are a few posts on this sort of problem, but please bear with me as this is somewhat different.
I develop a browser Add-on and one of my customers is experiencing an IE7 crash using Oracle/Jinitiator, with an event log message:
    Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16827, stamp 49a74cd5, faulting module jvm.dll, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 4469a9b3, debug? 0, fault address 0x00050e18.
This may be related to my Add-on, so I'd like to know of any reasons that an Add-on could cause this situation. I see from other posts that it can be caused by an Add-on using a different JVM to the one used by the oracle app, however we don't include a jvm or use any java code, so it seems like it must be a different problem. The crash occurs on start-up of the oracle app and I'm told they're using Jinitiator on Win XP SP2. I don't know the details of their jvm or jinitiator versions.
I'm completely unfamiliar with oracle apps and JInitiators, so any pointers would be great. E.g. suggestions for them that may work around any such problem (like upgrading to latest JVM), or possible causes of any conflict between my Add-on and Jinitiator.
As my customer's app is not externally accessible I've not yet been able to replicate this. Here's another question (Example Oracle Forms app viewable online? asking for example apps that I might be able to use to replicate this.
    thanks,

Our browser Add-on is only available for IE, and the problem only happens when the add-on is running. So we've not tried Firefox but it wouldn't help unfortunately.
