Exchange 2010: Forward e-mail to one account to multiple recipients

Exchange 2010
External and internal e-mails that are sent to
[email protected] need to be forwarded to multiple internal exchange 2010 recipients.
I set up a Universal Distribution group in Exchange and added those users, but this did not work.
What is the procedure for this?
Cathy Burnham, MCSA

Okay everyone - the suggestion from
ty72182 did the trick. Here is the process to have an e-mail address forward to multiple Exchange e-mail users in Exchange 2010:
This is all done in the Exchange Management Console:
Recipient Config > Right Click Distribution Group > New Distribution Group > New > Distribution > Put in the OU of your choosing > Descriptive Name > put same Discriptive name under Alias
Once the group is set up:
Right click group, go to properties
Members tab: Add the users to whom you wish to have mail forwarded
Mail Flow Settings tab: Double-click Message Delivery Restrictions
UNcheck the box "Require that all senders are authenticated"
--> Otherwise, only INTERNAL email sent to that address will forward, but not external email will.
Then go to the mailbox of the account you want forwarded to multiple people.
Right-click the box, > Properties > Mail Flow Settings > Delivery Options and choose Forward and add this dist group.

  • Appointments from Exchange 2010 show as Mail in Mailbox

I have a very frustrating issue with a single user on one of our post offices. For reasons unknown appointments sent to the user from Exchange 2010 appear as mail items instead of appointments within the mailbox. Other users on the same post office do not get the same issue. I have tried resetting the user's views and a full client reset via maintenance. I have set the user's client settings to be the same as another user who does not get the issue without any luck either. Maintenance checks on the account does not flag any errors. I'm pretty certain I'm missing something very simple, but alas I can not think what.
Software wise we're running client 8.0.1 on post office agent version 8.0.2. We seem to get the same results regardless of the Client version of outlook, (we have tried the web version and 2003 and 2010 of the client). Anything else I could try would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Rob

How about updating those as they are a bit old.
Try looking at that user's account from another machine and from
    WebAccess (if installed).
It is good to separate the PC from the user account as sometimes an odd
problem can be from some funky issue on the PC.
I'm not surprised that different versions of the Exchange 2010 client
doesn't make a difference as there is the formatting is set when
Exchange formats the outgoing to the internet.
A thought there, is your user setup as a contact on the Exchange
system, there have been settings in the past that caused invalid
formatting of internet messages. Something to the effect that 'this
user is on OutLook/Exchange vs regular internet standards'.
Has there been a single appointment sent from a user on that Exchange
system to two of your users?

  • Can i use exchange 2010 in the mail(4.5)?

Can i use exchange 2010 in the mail(4.5)?
i can't use exchange 2010 in the mail (4.5),but i can use normally in the mail (3.6)。why?

Of course you can use your iPhone in the rain but since devices are not waterproof, nobody in their right mind would recommend it. The risk is yours and an out-of-warranty repair might cost more than a few bucks.
I highly recommend you read this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3302
And some kind of a protective casing if you insist on using the device in the rain.

i have four accounts on my mail application. but whenever i send a mail from one account, it goes through other account.

Look at Mail / Accounts, then choose the Account icon. See if the Outgoing server box is set to the correct entry for each of your accounts.

  • One account on multiple devices

    Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to get one account on multiple devices. I know that a personal iTunes account is allowed on at least five devices but I'm trying to get one business account on say "100 devices" is this possible?
    Thanks in advanced.

    Hi rRamiro,
You are correct that with personal Apple IDs you can download apps on 10 devices (up to 5 computers and the rest on iOS devices). The only way to use a single Apple ID on say 100 devices is through the use of Apple Configurator. (click the link and scroll down to the section for Apple Configurator to learn more)
If you are an educational institution or business you will want to enroll in Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP) which allows a single Apple ID to purchase multiple licenses of an app. Most developers will offer a 50% discount on their app when 20 or more VPP licenses are purchased in a single transaction.
With Apple Configurator you can distribute the VPP codes to your fleet of iPads. Apple Configurator uses a single Apple ID to install apps on your iPads. Configurator will also allow you to install free apps on multiple iPads using a single Apple ID.
    Hope this answers your question!

  • Exchange 2010 - Forwarding Mail

We are looking to forward inbound mail for a couple of users  on our exchange 2010 server to an external address.  Will it take up any space on our local exchange store.
    Hank

No if you setup to just redirect the mail but if you select to deliver to mailbox and forward then it will keep a copy and yes will take up the space.
Create a contact for External address and set up the forwarding as per below article...

  • Windows 8.1 Mail app and Exchange 2010 EAS partnership - "Make Windows user account an Administrator" to meet security requirements?

As the title says,  I have a new Windows 8.1 based device which I'm trying to connect to my Exchange 2010 box (SP3 Update Rollup 2).  I currently have my iphone set up as an EAS client with no problems.  I have an EAS policy on my mailbox
with the following settings surrounding passwords :
Require Password, Require Encryption, Allow Simple Password, Time without user input - 10 minutes.  Allow non-provisional devices is also checked.
The Windows 8.1 device has Bitlocker enabled, which meets the encryption requirement - I know this because the 1st time I tried this it moaned about Bitlocker needing to be enabled to meet requirements, though at that time the local user account on the Windows
8.1 device was an admin level account so it never mentioned this issue, it worked normally.
Now, while using a std user account on the Windows 8.1 device and trying to connect up via EAS, it complains that my local windows user account must be an ADMIN level account to meet the security requirements...?
    Anyone encountered this?

Did anyone solve this problem? I'm also struggling with this issue.
this is still a problem. I'm just hitting it now and it's not doing much for management's love of Microsoft devices.
Evidently, it has to be an admin to set the policies on the device to match the policies on the EAS. And once set, a user can be changed back.
But this is seriously not cool. Don't the "app" folks and the enterprise folks talk to each other?

    anyone that can help

    Hi Willem,
Please trying to verify the Receive Connector's setting. Also try to re-configure it or re-create a new one.
Please also try to use a external account, such as gmail account, to send a test message. If there is any NDR back to your gmail account, please paste the details without any sensitive information.
Please also collect errors in App log for the further troubleshooting.

  • Exchange 2010 policy and Mail

Just pulled down the 10061 build.  Before attempting to add my work email account to the unit I update the mail and calendar apps to avoid the known double letter issue.  When I attempt to add my work account (Exchange 2010 via ActiveSync) I
get a prompt "Make my PC more secure".  Totally expected since we have some security policy setting on our Exchange server.  Clicking on Enforce these policies doesn't seem to do anything.  The box may pop up one or two more times
    but mail never syncs.

i have a similar issue, except the 'make my pc more secure' prompt sometimes appears 3 or 4 times and appears everytime i turn on the computer. I also have added a couple of work email accounts which have security policies. Very annoying. Not sure if it's
related but i also keep geeting uac popups asking if i want to allow 'settings' to change my computer. This morning i got about 20 of these.

  • [No body found] on all mails from one account

All mails I get from one account are empty, containing only [no body found].
The mail is fetched from the ISP via fetchmail, forwarded to Zarafa-Groupware and synced with the mobile devices via Z-push (OSS ActiveSync solution). All other mail clients work fine (Android, IOS, Nokia Mail for Exchange,...) and the calendar as well as notes and adresses all sync fine. Only the mail bodies are empty
The logs on the server look fine...
Any hints on how to get get it working? Or at least on how to get more debug info on the Z10?
    Thanks in advance!
    Cheers,
    Ycas

Hmmm...well, then the only thing I can recommend is that you contact your mobile service provider for formal support and, likely, escalation into BlackBerry. They may want to collect logs and such to see if they can replicate the problem. It also may simply be an unsupported provider...it's really quite impossible for any device to support every provider (I admit, it should work...but there is a slight chance...).
    Good luck!

  • Exchange 2010 outgoing prvs=mail

I have an Exchange 2010 environment. I am sending out from one email address to an efax company but the message gets rejected because of the prvs=mail being added to the from line. (The efax company cannot strip the prvs and because there are numbers in
the prvs=mail field before the domain section their system gets confused.)
How can I prevent Exchange from adding this to this one particular email address?
    Thanks

    Hi
    cesopk21,
Thanks for sharing the solution with us.
Just for information, we also find some third-party security programs may add “prvs=mail”. Anyone who encounter this issue may also check with this point.

  • Exchange 2010 to 2003 mail flow failing

Scenario: Just installed exchange 10 to coexist with an existing exchange 03 organization with two 03 servers

    New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name "Ex10Z-Ex03B" -SourceTransportServers "Ex10Z.company.com" -TargetTransportServers
    "Ex03B.company.com" -Cost 100 -Bidirectional $true
Restart transport service on Ex10Z, restart smtp service on Ex03A and Ex03B
Will this proposed solution work or should I be looking elsewhere?

    That didnt work.
Here is the new get-routinggroupconnector | fl. Interesting that it created two Ex10Z-Ex03B identities despite
me issuing the Bidirectional flag. Shouldnt there be one for Ex03B-Ex10Z?

  • How do I specify the gmail outgoing server if I have multiple gmail accounts in my mail? I have 2 business accounts and when I send mail from one account, it is sent from the other account and the sending email is not from the correct account.

I love my apple email and do not want to use google mail on safari. However, I have 2 gmail accounts set up on apple mail, but when I send mail from one of my gmail accounts (I choose the specific gmail account in the drop down window), it actually goes out as if it is from the other gmail account. I can't have that happen because one is my job, the other is a personal business account and unfortunately, the mail from both gmail accounts want to send through the personal business account. How do I make it send from a specific gmail account? I even tried deleting the accounts and setting them up again hoping I set it up wrong in the first place, but to no avail, it is still doing the same thing except this time I set the job account up first and then the personal business account and now everything goes from the job account! The only good thing is that the incoming messages work properly and they go into the correct inbox. Somebody please fix my outbox!

In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account.  The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

  • Migrate Mail from one account to another

    Hi People,
I was wondering how I can migrate all my mail data from one user to another.
I want to consolidate two users into one (the user to which i want to migrate to, does not have mail set up) then delete the old user account.
Is there a process for this? Or is it a case of just copying the mail data folder between users?
    Thanks.

quit mail on both accounts and copy the file /users/username1/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist and the entire folder /users/username1/library/mail to the corresponding locations for user2. start Mail on user2 and it will look like it did on user1.

  • Incoming mail of one account doesn't appear in inbox

Even though mail tells me that by now more than 30 messages have come in,I can't see anything in the inbox. Probably I have managed to trash something i shouldn't, but what?
I use three accounts, and of two accounts the incoming mails are visible, but my main account is not.
I have tried to throw away some preferences, I've been reentering all the account information, but it didn't work. Nothing appears in the inbox of this one account.
(Now I started to use thunderbird, and I can read my incoming mail. But I'm quite used to my mail configuration, and i like it.)
    Who can help???

Is your main account a POP type account?
If so, using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > this POP account named folder (named by the user name and incoming mail server for the account).
Confirm there is an INBOX.mbox named folder as shown.
