Exchange 2010 - unable to connect coldfusion

Unable to connect to the Exchange server using HTTP/HTTPS protocol.
HTTP response code : 400
I have some Coldfusion code that used to work to add calendar events on behalf of a user.  The Exchange server is hosted at intermedia.net.  I've beat this code to death to no avail.  I could use a little hand-holding now.

Hi,
According to your description, you use some Coldfusion code to add calendar events on behalf of a user.

  • Exchange 2007 - unable to connect to smtp after severall hours

    Hi,
We have a Windows SBS 2008 server with Exchange 2007 SP3. After severall hours we are unable to connect to the server with telnet on port 25 from outside. Sometimes a local telnet on the server still works but not always.
The only solution is to restart the server. The transport service can not be stopped.
Even after a fresh reboot the telnet session does not alway show the smtp banner.

    Hi Joost,
Is there any related error message left on Exchange server?
I have found a similar thread for your reference:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5e2b3320-7c97-4b33-bd8e-e27768f51ec0/hub-transport-service-wont-start-and-keep-running-sbs-2008-exchange-2007
More detailed error message without sensitive informaiton is helpful for the further troubleshooting.
Also, SBS 2008 is different from Exchange 2007 on Windows Server, I suggest ask SBS Forum to double confirm this issue.
    Thanks

  • SSRS 2012 with SharePoint 2010: Unable to connect to the remote server

We had originally installed SSRS 2012 with SP 2010 and I did not like how the installation was configured, so we uninstalled everything and removed the SSRS server from the SharePoint farm and uninstalled all the SQL bits (SSRS was deployed to web tier in
    sharepoint mode).
I've since added a new application server to host the SSRS SharePoint Mode and Installed the reporting services add-in on the WFE.   For reference, I have 1 WFE and 2 App Servers.  the WFE has the Reporting Service Add-in and both App Servers have
the SharePoint mode of SSRS installed as described here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh479774(v=sql.110).aspx
I've also installed the Service Application and all seems to work well up until I make an attempt to create a report or data source on the WFE.
It looks like somewhere, the WFE is still looking to connect to the original SSRS machine we installed.  I've gone through registry, config files and the SharePoint config database to see if I can see where the reference value is.  Still can't
find it anywhere.  None of the Reporting commandlets are helping.
    Technically what is occurring;

Issue an iisreset on the WFE, and validate that SSRS Service is running on the App servers.

  • Mail 4.4 and Exchange 2010: not staying connected

I am using Mail 4.4 connected to an Exchange 2010 account, and with an SMTP server instead of the actual Exchange connection to send outgoing mail due to the "no from: field" issue.
I have noticed that Mail is not staying connected to the server. IIRC, Exchange is intended to be a live connection, and messages that arrived quite some time ago are nowhere to be seen until I click "Get Mail." Up to now, I've relied on IMAP with IDLE for mail, as I'd rather receive everything in real time instead of relying on a scheduled polling interval.
Why is this? Is it just an issue of being Exchange 2010 instead of Exchange 2007, or is there something I can do to fix it?
My iPhone running iOS 4.2 works perfectly with the same Exchange account.

IMAP with IDLE for mail, as I'd rather receive everything in real time
Certainly in the current version of Mail, you'll get more of a push effect if you use IMAP IDLE instead of EWS for communication with an Exchange server. Exchange Web Services feel less responsive.
The Get Mail routine is much quicker with IMAP IDLE than with EWS. With EWS: the more mailboxes you have, the longer it takes.
However: if you use IMAP instead of EWS, some features of Exchange will appear less graceful. Noticeable with e.g. messages relating to calendaring.
(Note to self: I should review this after our organisation has completed its transition from Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2010.)
messages that arrived quite some time ago are nowhere to be seen until I click "Get Mail."
Using EWS: in the absence of a real-time/push effect, three approaches come to mind:
    a) pull manually (click Get Mail)
    b) prefer a schedule
    c) simply move or delete any message to trigger an update of that mailbox.
For my Inbox, I prefer (c). An update of the Inbox alone is much faster than the (Get Mail) update of all mailboxes.
Eventually, I guess that Apple will improve Mail to make it respond immediately to changes on the EWS side.
Then, I'll go back to using e.g. GrowlMail to weed most messages immediately, as each one appears (much more pleasing than ploughing through a massive Inbox).

  • Exchange 2013 in coexistence with 2010, Outlook keep looking for Exchange 2010 server slow connection

    All,
not sure if this topic has already answered, but can't find anything around.
Here's the scenario. Migrating from a single Exchange 2010 to a cluster of 2 + 1 Exchange 2013. Two in a site, One in the other site (DC).
I have migrated successfully a firsat batch of users. Mail flow works perfectly. The only thing is that often the migrated users are experiencing a long time (about 30 minutes) to get their Outlook syncronized. Both OL 2010 and 2013 doesn't make any difference.
They're using OL Anywhere, and I've already tried to rebuild the profile.
From a check on the OL connection status, looks like they're still looking for something on EX2010, but no idea what could be. If I disable the cache mode it works smooth and quick.
My best guess is that is something in cache they're trying to keep updated... but still this doesn't explain the huge delay.
Any help would be highly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Hi Alessandro,
What happens in OWA? I guess it should be good.
Did you have public folders with Exchange 2010? Were they moved over to Exch 2013? Technically you should move the PF to the latest version from the legacy version before moving over the users?
    - Moved the PF to OL2013. same behaviour
May be the outlook clients are looking for th OAB? Did you move the OAB to Exchange 2013?
    - Did this too.
Try running outlook on safe mode and see what happens? may be one of the outlook add-in's are looking for something on Exchange 2010?
    - Will try that....
Can you do a Test Email Auto Configuration in outlook (Hold CNTRL key and right click on outlook icon on status bar) and see if the exchange url's are pointed to Exch 2013?
    - Will try that....
Is this happening to all migrated users or specific? Are they BlackBerry users?
    - All users and there are no BB users
Do you have any archived emails on those migrated users? May be outlook is looking for some archived stuff on the Exch 2010 side?
    - I instructed Exchange to migrate also the archiving database, however There are no archived mailbox on 2010
Could this be because of any calendar entries? May be migrated user mailboxes are having issues with working with non-migrated mailbox calendars?
    - This maybe a possibility. I have only 10 users actively using Exchange, while all others have the mailboxes only because they've Lync. I've completed all migrations today, so there shouldn't be anything left on 2010
Let me know how it went - all the best!

You might try resetting your connection settings using the steps listed in this message:

They're not guaranteed to solve the problem, but they'll only take a minute or so to try.

  • Exchange 2010 unable to find objects in child domain via ESM

I am having a problem on Exchange 2010 which relates to mailboxes whose AD account is in a child domain in the AD forest.
We have two domains A & B in the forest. The site which hosts E2010 only has DCs from domain A (root domain). These DCs are set as Global Catalogues.
All Exchange servers (2 x CAS & 2 x Mailbox) installed in Domain A (primary site) can resolve domain B and performing nslookups for domain B on these server displays the DCs installed
in domain B at remote sites.
I am migrating some resource mailboxes with AD accounts in domain B and need to set them up as room mailboxes to enable the auto accept bookings feature.
After migrating the mailboxes via the EMS to set the mailbox as a room, below is the error I get:
    [PS] C:\Windows\system32>set-mailbox mtgrm1@domainB
     -Type Room
The operation couldn't be performed because object 'mtgrm1@ domainB' couldn't be found on 'DC01.domainA.com'.

        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 9E6F6A1,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.RecipientTasks.SetMailbox
I have also tried using only the alias and the object CN:
    set-mailbox mtgrm1 -Type Room
    set-mailbox –identity 'domainB/Sitename/ Users/MSX Resource Accounts/Conf MtgRm1 (Video)' -Type Room
    but get the same error.
All employee mailboxes from Domain B have been migrated to Exchange 2010 from 2003 and are working with no problems.
I have confirmed domain B has been prepared for E2010 - In the Microsoft Exchange System Objects container in AD there is the global group Exchange Install Domain Servers.

  • Exchange 2010 Unable to create new mailboxes through provisioning

Recently I started noticing that when attempting to create a new mailbox in Exchange 2010 I was receiving the error "Load balancing failed to find a valid mailbox database". I checked the provisioning by running the command "Get-MailboxDatabase
    | ft Name,IsExcludedFromProvisioning". All my databases are set to "true". All I would have to do is run the command "get-mailboxdatabase | set-mailboxdatabase -isexcludedfromprovisioning $false" to enable the provisioning again. My
question is here, does this require any kind of reboot or setting the DAG into maintenance mode? These are prod servers and I would hate to run a command that might cause an unplanned downtime of any sort. I got a feeling that this is probably a quick simple
command and wont cause any issues, just want to confirm that this won't require any sort of planning before running.

No, you don;t have to restart the server or make any changes in DAG.

  • E71 - Mail For Exchange Error - "Unable to connect...

I have one user that is getting "unable to connect. Retrying" when trying to sync email using MfE.
We have several other people using a combination of E71's and iPhones and they are all working fine.
I have added the users details to my iPhone and it syncs fine. I have tried the same user on another E71 and still get the errors.
If I just sync the contacts, they sync ok. Seem just to be that mail there is a problem with. I have changed the mail sync to 1 day and still no joy.
    Anyone give me some pointers?

  • Macbook Pro (13" mid 2010) unable to connect to home wifi?

    Hi everyone
I have a Macbook pro 13" mid 2010. Up until recently, airport was able to connect to my home wifi. I have not changed anything on the home wifi network.
The laptop is on 10.6.8, with all software updates installed.
I have recently installed boot camp onto this laptop and did a software update. Could that be a problem?
    Attempted solutions:
    1 PRAM reset
    2 Disabling IPv6
3 Reboot laptop and restart modem/router
4 Deleting all keychain networks and passwords
5 Deleting networks from Network Settings/Advanced Settings
    6 Using Assist Me option
7 Changing home wifi network from WPA to WPA2
8 Changing home wifi broadcast channel to a less used channel
9 Connecting to another landline network (also did not work)
Surprisingly, I am able to connect to my mobile phone's wifi tether. My monthly data usage limit isn't very high and this isn't a real option.
Normally what happens, is I enter the password to join the wireless network and it'll give me a Connection timed out error message.
I have 5 other PCs in the house that can connect to the network, my MBP is the only mac and the only one that cannot connect. My android mobile phone can connect, my sister's iPhone 3GS can connect.
Can anyone help? Or suggest something I may have missed?

I have the same MBP Version 7.1 that you have and it also states in the System Profiler HDMI Display port
Output: Connection : Display. Now what that means, im not sure.
But i have also connected an HDMI cable via an adapter made by iWires Tech Link purchased at the Apple store and have the same problem as you, only video with no sound from the TV.
I've looked at the settings that eww has suggested in System Preferences > Sound > Output tab and their is no options available for HDMI out, or Display Audio or anything else for that matter, except built in speakers, and Audio port for sound output.
Which lead me to use the Audio port to send the sound out via an amp and speaker system independent to the TV.
Thats why i researched for the other adapters which send out the sound and the audio through the same adapter.

  • Exchange 2010 Unable to Assign Full Access Permissions using a Security Group

I've been running into this issue lately.  I cannot seem to use groups to allow full access to mailboxes.  When I add them from the EMC, it will show up when you go to "Manage Full Access Permission...".  After waiting a day and even restarting
the Information Store service, the permissions do not take effect.  When I view the msExchDelegateListLink attribute of the mailbox account, the group is not listed.
When I grant a user full permission, it works and updates the attribute.  However, on occasion when I revoke the full access permission for a user is doesn't always remove that user from the msExchDelegateListLink attribute.  So the mailbox
will still appear in Outlook, but the user isn't able to see new emails.
Any ideas on what may be going wrong?
    Environment:
    Exchange Server 2010 SP1 Standard
    Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
Outlook 2010 SP1 (tried without SP1 as well)
I was looking over Add-MailboxPermission on Technet (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124097.aspx) and I noticed that it doesn't mention adding groups.  Is this not possible?

I never got a proper fix.
I worked around it by creating a script which gets the members of an AD Mail Enabled security group, and updates the full access based on the groups members.
Here's a script I'm running every hour which updates permissions. It's probably not the most efficient script ever, but it works. It has several benefits
    1. Managers of the distribution group can add/remove mailbox members using OWA or through the address list
    2. New members of groups are added to FULL Access Permissions
    3. Members removed from the groups are removed from FULL access permissions
    4. Automapping works :)
    5. Maintains a log of access added / removed / time taken etc.
Obviously I have had to remove domain related information, replace with whatever your domain requirements are, and PLEASE debug it properly in your environent first, don't complain to me if it wipes out a load of access for you or something like that!
It takes about 5 minutes to run in my environement. Some formatting seems to have got messed up on here, sorry. I hope it is of use!

  • Outlook Connectivity / Exchange 2010 Coexistence Scenarios

    Hello,
I recently migrated to Exchange 2013, autodiscover.domain.com and mail.domain.com are pointing to CAS 2013 for external and internal access. For EX013 users, Outlook establishes connection with both CAS 2010 and CAS 2013 which is fine. For EX2010 users,
Outlook establishes the connection only with CAS 2010 for both internal and external access. My understanding is that CAS 2013 should proxy the connection to CAS 2010, but it doesn't and also after the migration I have to remove and add the profile again for
the changes to take effect for the migrated users. I haven't changed the namespaces, its the same. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
Your understadning is correct. Since only Exchange 2013 is Internet-facing, CAS2013 would proxy all requests for Exchange 2010 external user accessing.
Please make sure the External URL in Exchange 2010 services are all set to $Null and Outlook Anywhere is enabled with the external host name pointed to mail.domain.com. Then the external Exchange 2010 user would connect the Autodiscover service
with autodiscover.domain.com successfully. The other services such as EWS, OOF and OAB request would be send to Exchange 2013 then proxy to Exchange 2010.
For more infromation about the connectivity in Exchange 2013 coexistence environment, please refer to:

  • Outlook 2010 Profiles Not Creating with Exchange 2010 Backend

In an enterprise environment.  Issue has been replicated on multiple Windows Terminal Servers, with multiple accounts.
With multiple accounts have recreated the user profiles from scratch, and launched outlook 2010.  The profile does not autocreate, it was working in production about a week ago.  Windows Updates were applied for December 2014.
Does anyone know if a Local Windows Client side patch would cause Outlook 2010 not to resolve a profile correctly.  Could this be the outlook mapi rpc issue that was part of RU8.  Have searched several hundred artciles on this on google and twitter
in the last weeks time frame and cannot find anywhere online that lists excatly what a user experiences when RU8 fails.  Have not heard back from the Exchange administrator if RU8 was deployed.  There are also multiple Windows Updates for December
2014 for Office that may have caused the problem.
Might be having exactly the same issue as this guy.
    http://exchangetips.us/2014/12/exchange-users-unable-to-connect-with-outlook-2010/
Microsoft did pull/release a version #2 of an exchange patch in December which might be the root cause.
    https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2014/12/12/microsoft-pulls-patch-tuesday-fix-outlook-cant-connect-to-exchange/
not sure if we are we running “Exchange Server 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 8”
    –version #1 or version #2

There are known issues with Outlook connections if you are using Exchange 2010 SP3 UR8 (as you have found).  You can check which update you are running by going to
Control Panel/Uninstall a Program, then click the
View Installed Updates selection (upper left).  Your
Exchange Server 2010 - Software Updates will show a definite difference between UR8 and UR8V2.  To be safe, I'd fully remove UR8 and install UR8V2 after a system restart.

Do you have this issue with all attachment types? If not, what type of attachment are you having this issue with and what size is the attachment?
What happens when you try to forward the message? Is any error received?
Does removing and re-adding the email account make any difference?
I look forward to your response.

Turns out that unity came back after all this. Maybe it just needed time. I think I answered my own question.  Anyways, this post could serve for future reference.
