Hi,
According to your description, I noticed that the issue doesn’t happen in OWA but only in Outlook. Please confirm if the issue happens when using Online mode in Outlook.
If the issue doesn’t happen in Outlook Online mode, please manually update the free/busy information in Outlook Cached mode by the following operation:
Then check whether the Free/Busy information can be updated.

  • How do I stop receiving calendar invites on iCal/iCloud and use exchange 2013 calendar instead?

I Have an exchange 2013 email account which isn't registered as part of my iCloud account.
i Use my outlook calendar (exch) for work and the same exch calendar day to day from all my iOS devices.
when a colleague or outside email away from my company sends me a calendar meeting request, it works fine. (Using my exch email as the invite recipient).
my girlfriend sends me a meeting request from her hotmail account using the same exch email address for me, but he. Invites always arrive to my iCloud/iCal calendar instead! I can't seem to change it so I often miss diary notes or reminders unless I constantly look at both calendars.
i Just want to use exchange calendar and lose iCal (or if easier sync both iCal and exchange calendars vica versa - but that may be over complicating the issue, basically I just need one calendar and would rather it be my outlook exchange cal)
    any ideas?

    Hello again,
False alarm..... it didnt work sorry.
I removed the iCal accounts from my mac, and also from my iphone. Then when my partner sent me a calendar invite it simply didnt arrive at all!
She has a hotmail account installed on her IOS iphone 5.
She is sending the invite to my exch 2013 email address which is not associated with any icloud account.
My exch 2013 email is installed in both my Outlook for mac 2011 and IOS device Iphone 5s.
When I switch the iCloud Calendar back on in my iphone 5s, the invite comes through but ONLY optional to the icloud calendar. I cannot seem to get it receiving on my default calendar which is set to Exchange 2013 account.
Its very strange as its only her invites that do this. Anyone else's come through on my exchange calendar because its the same email address receeving it my end.

  • Access Exchange 2013 Calendar from Sharepoint 2013 OWA Web Part

    Hi,
For the moment I have five User
    Mailboxes on Exchange 2010 whose
calendars that appear in a SharePoint
2013 using Outlook Web App Web Part.
In Exchange 2010, IIS has created a new
    WebSite with OWA, ECP
    and some more Virtual Directories,
    where OWA is Windows Integrated
    and Basic Auth. enabled (not
    FBA).
This makes so users do not have additional
logins in SharePoint when they look at
    the calendars.
I now want to move these mailboxes to an Exchange
2013. I must then create a new WebSite
    with Win.Integrated etc, but have
heard it is unsupported. Is there
any other way to solve this?
    Best Regards

    Hello,
    Sorry for delayed response.
I recommend you check the Outlook Hotfix and version number again via Control Panel.
Please check the version number via outlook 2010 "File".
If the outlook version number is 14.0.7113.5000, please try my above suggestion to specify the SSL certificate principal name. Because XP system is not always to look for the next lines on a SAN certificate.

  • Set Exchange 2013 calendar permissions with Outlook 2007

    Hi,
I have a new install of Exchange 2013 with ~30 Win 7, Office 2007 clients. Setting permissions on calendars doesn't work properly from Outlook 2007 (a known MS issue). Does anyone know if there is a fix or work around to assign permissions to the calendar?
i.e. where you right click the Calendar folder and set different levels of permission. There is a 'permission' option in OWA but this doesnt appear to work for calendars.
I have tried Outlook 2013 and that works ok.  Is there alternate way to save having to move to Outlook 2013?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The above issue occurs because of a limitation in how Exchange Server 2013 set Free/Busy permissions. The workaround is to use OWA to set up calendar permissions.
Here is a helpful article about setting up calendar permissions in OWA for your reference.

  • LYNC 2013, Exchange 2013 / OWA presence not updating from calendar entries

Have a test environment of LYNC 2013 and EXCHANGE 2013.
No software clients - pure OWA access.
IM works within OWA and I can manually set availability which is seen correctly by other users.  What does not happen is any calendar entries - they do not update the presence status (ie. does not go to busy when in a meeting ).
I did install Lync client 2013 and that did work ( and updated OWA ) - but I want a pure web environment without the need for additional software based clients.
Can this work?  If so is there anything that can be checked to see where the issue is?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Maybe it's my misunderstanding. Did you mean you don’t want additional software based clients (including Lync client 2013)?
If you don’t install a Lync client on user workstations, you cannot see presence of Lync users from OWA.
What’s more, for Lync side, if you do not install Lync client software the only way to use Lync is Lync Web App (a browser-based meeting client). Lync Web App only support to join Lync Meetings. However, Lync meeting cannot schedule by Lync Web App and OWA.
Here is a link about Lync Web App may help you:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/lync-help/what-is-lync-web-app-HA103699740.aspx
If you want to create Lync Meetings but don’t have Microsoft Outlook you can use Lync Web Scheduler (a web-based program)

    Hi Guys
I'm trying to publish an exchange 2013 public folder calendar. from outlook when I go to publish it give me the following error:

The correct format should look like this: "<MailboxIdentity>:<FolderPath>".
I've been searching but am unable to find any information regarding the error.
Is there something that i'm missing which would allow me to publish the calendar?
    Regards
    Dylan

    Hi Ed
From within outlook 2010 i right click on my public folder calendar and select "Share" and then "Publish This Calendar". it loads owa asking to login, i login and a error popup show straight away over the calendar publishing webpage with the error above.
the account i'm testing with is a domain account and have full permissions to exchange, public folders etc.

  • Issues with old calendar items after migration from SBS2008R1 to Windows 2012R2+Exchange 2013

    Hello,
After migrating a customer from Windows Small Business Server 2008 R1 to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (DC) and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 & Exchange 2013 there are a few issue regarding
the GAL and old migrated calender items that we are unable to resolve:
Old calender items which were Exported to PST when the Server 2008 R1 environment was still live were imported to the new mailbox of the user, located on the Exchange 2013 mail database. This
seemed to be working just fine.
The problems arise when a user tries to edit or re-send an old calender item. There actually are 2 problems:
    1. When resending an old calender item, OLD GAL entries are used (even when re-entering the contact details) and the emails are send to nobody and you get the mail back from postmaster
    2. When updating an old calender item you get an error that you do not have permissions, probably because you are NOT the 'old' Exchange user.
    Thanks in advance!

Did you use Exmerge or similar to export?
You may have an issue like that explained here.

  • Calendar permissions keep reverting Exchange 2013

I am getting a strange problem on my Exchange 2013, this has been migrated from a 2007 Exchange.
When a new account is made in ECP we are having issues with setting calendar permissions afterwards, we can make another user have editor permissions but it reverts back to limited after. I have used power shell to set permissions but nothing stays
Any help would be very appreciated
    Thanks
    Nick

    Hi Nick,
Please refer to DareDevil's suggestion to add Editor permission for this user:
Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity UserA:\Calendar -User UserB -AccessRights Editor
Then we can run the following command in EMS to check the permission:
    Get-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity UserA:\Calendar | FL

  • Booking a Exchange 2013 Room Resource Calendar with a mobile device

Can I book a Exchange 2013 Room Resource Calendar using  a mobile device?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that's possible.  Scheduling a room resource requires the Scheduling Assistant functionality, which is only available with Outlook or OWA (full web client, not the Light version).

  • Exchange 2013 CU3 Retention Policy Not working for Calendar & Tasks

We are currently on Exchange 2013 CU3 with Online Archiving Enabled for the user
Default policy is set to move  all the items in mailbox which are  older than 30 days to online archive mailbox.
Calendar and Tasks Items are also getting archived alongwith other Outlook items from Inbox,Deleted Items etc
Followed Technet website and created RPT for Calendar and Tasks with retention disabled
Still DPT takes precedence and move all the items under Calendar and Task to Online Archive Mailbox

    Hi Sam,
I recommend you refer to the following article, despite this for Exchange 2010, however the same applies to exhcnage 2013:
Prevent archiving of items in a default folder in Exchange 2010
To prevent the <acronym title="Default Policy Tag">DPT</acronym> from being applied to a default folder, you can create a disabled <acronym title="Retention Policy Tag">RPT</acronym> for that folder (or disable
any existing RPT for that folder). The Managed Folder Assistant, a mailbox assistant that processes mailbox items and applies retention policies, does not apply the
retention action of a disabled tag. Since the item/folder still has a tag, it's not considered untagged and the DPT isn't applied to it.
Why are items in the Notes folder still archived?
If you create a disabled <acronym title="Retention Policy Tag">RPT</acronym> for the
Notes folder, you'll see items in that folder are not deleted, but they do continue to be moved to the archive! Why does this happen? How do you prevent it?
    It's important to understand that:
    A retention policy can have a <acronym title="Default Policy Tag">DPT</acronym> to
archive items (using the Move to Archive retention action) and a DPT to
delete items (using the Delete and Allow Recovery or
Permanently Delete retention actions). Both apply to untagged items.
The move and delete actions are exclusive of each other. Mailbox folders and messages can have both types of tags applied - an archive tag and a delete tag. It's not an either/or proposition.
If you create a disabled RPT for the Notes folder to not delete items, the archive DPT for the mailbox would still apply and move items.
When it comes to archiving, there's only one archive policy that administrators can enforce – the <acronym title="Default Policy Tag">DPT</acronym> with 'Move to archive' action.
You can't create a <acronym title="Retention Policy Tag">RPT</acronym> with the 'Move to archive' action. This rules out using the disabled RPT approach to prevent items from being moved.

  • Outlook 2010 SP2 - Error when editing shared calendar: Post Exchange 2013 CU2 Migration

    Hi there,
I have a strange comportment with Outlook 2010 SP2 and Exchange 2013 CU2 and i really need your help.
Frequently, when an user (who has the good permissions for) want to edit a shared calendar (edit a meeting or add one), he has this error message:
" Cannot display the folder. Your server administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously. Try closing message you have opened or removing attachments and images from unsent messages you are composing "
I see anything in the Exchange server event log but i have each time, an error message in the client event log:
    " Microsoft Office14 Alerts ID 300"
Everything work very well with Outlook 2013.
Many thanks in advance for your assistance, and I am looking forward to reading from you.

    Hi,
According to your description, the issue is related to your Office 2010 client.
And the issue can be resolved by installing the Microsoft Office 2010 Deployment Kit.
Here are the steps you can refer to :
    1. Open a command prompt with administrative permissions.
    2. Browse to the directory that contains the Offvirt.msi.
    3. At the command prompt, run the following command:
    msiexec /i OffVirt.msi [licensing flags]
You must enter a correct licensing flag in the following list to correctly configure the Deployment Kit. Otherwise, functionality may be incorrect.
For more information, you can refer to the following article:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/virtualworld/archive/2010/07/07/microsoft-has-encountered-an-error-with-licensing-and-will-need-to-close.aspx

  • Import Calendar Entries to Exchange 2013 Causes Outlook Calendar View Problems

Today I was working on a way to import company holidays for 2014 into people's calendars.  We're running Exchange 2013.  Most users have Outlook 2010, but I'm on the bleeding edge with Outlook 2013.
The best method I found online for adding events to everyone's calendar involved creating a calendar in a PST file that contained all of the company holidays and then using the Exchange 2013 Management Shell to import the PST file into people's calendars.
I created the calendar in a PST using Outlook 2013.  Each holiday is an all day appointment.  I then used the management shell to import those appointments into my calendar.  Outlook was running when I ran the import.
After the import completed, I went to look at my calendar and Outlook 2013 crashed.  I restarted it, clicked on my calendar and it crashed again.  After some digging, I found a suggestion that I start Outlook with /cleanviews.  That seems
to have corrected the problem.  All appointments appear as expected.  Well, that was ugly.  But I'm the only one on Outlook 2013 right now, so it's not a showstopper.
I then found a victim running Outlook 2010 for my next import experiment.  Outlook 2010 didn't crash.  But the calendar view did reset to a list view instead of whatever the user was running before.  Strange...  I ran the test again with
another person and was able to reproduce the result.  All appointments are present, but Outlook feels the need to change views?
Does anyone have a suggestion for how to import these appointments without the calendar view being reset? I don't want to think about all the support calls we're going to get when people's calendar view gets changed to a list view.
    Thanks
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
Is the use able to change the calendar view manually? Please check whether all calendar items are in list view both in OWA and Outlook? Please try to import the PST file from Outlook side to check whether the issue persists.

  • User calendar sharing problem on Exchange 2013 & 2010 co-existence

Recently, I am trying to upgrade my site to Exchange 2013 from 2010.  Most of the functions are work without problem except 2013 mailbox user try to access the sharing calendar on Exchange 2010 mailbox server.
e.g. User A is exchange 2010 mailbox user
user create a calendar 'testing' and sharing with user B
who is exchange 2013 mailbox user when user B try to add the calendar in OWA, user B get
    'The action couldn't be completed.
An error occurred and your request couldn't be completed.  If the problem continuesm contact your helpdesk with this HTTP Status code: 500.'
Actually, the error is 'The Client Access server version doesn't match the Mailbox server version of the resource that was being accessed. To determine the correct URL to use to access the resource, use Autodiscover with the address of the resource.'
But there are no problem if user A sharing his own calendar.  User B could add it without problem.

user B can access the calendar from outlook ? if its still not working from outlook please try to repair outlook profile and check
    Regards
    John
Thanks for your reply.  However, user B could not add the calendar in OWA 2013.  I think, it doesn't related to outlook profile.

  • Exchange 2013 Public Folder Calendars in OWA

    Hello,
I have a Public Folder calendar that I need to publish via OWA in Exchange 2013.  I understand that you cannot view any public folder that is not mail enabled in OWA.  If I make this specific calendar mail enabled will I be able to view the calendar
in OWA?  I think I still have to convert this to a shared mailbox.  If that is the case, what are the best steps to perform that?

    Hi,
Yes I agree with Ed Crowley. In Exchange 2013 Cumulative Update 1, Microsoft have allowed to display public folders. However, two major restrictions exist. First, OWA can only display modern public folders. In other words, you have to complete your
migration to Exchange 2013 and then execute a public folder migration before OWA can be used. No access is possible to legacy public folders. Second, OWA can only display “mail public folders”, or public folders that contain “mail and post items” (as they
are referred to by Outlook). Other folders (calendars, contacts, tasks, notes, InfoPath, and journal items) are unsupported.

    Hi Mani,
Based on the error message, it is an authentication issue.
I recommend to set the authentication for SharePoint to be NTLM, and Exchange web services as NTML as well to see if the issue still occurs.
    Best regards.
