Exchange account won't send large file, switches servers

When I try to send a large file through my company's Exchange account, it fails - a window pops up and says
"Cannot send message using the server XXX (Exchange)
The Exchange connection to server XXXXXX failed."
then it gives me other servers to try, including the exchange one.
Mail.app also seems to be trying to switch the outgoing mail from my Exchange account to my personal (Gmail) account - the Outbox entry is for "On My Mac", not for my "Work" account.
Mind you, I received this file from my someone else at my company, so they could send it fine - it's not an Exchange size limit issue. Other smaller mail I send on the Exchange account works fine.
Any suggestions?

Try this:
1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2. In Network, select Built-In Ethernet, select Advanced and then on the Ethernet tab, configure the following settings
Configure: Manually
MTU: Custom, 1492
3. Then try to send an email message that contains an attachment.

I've setup multiple exchange accounts in Outlook 2010. I receive fine for both accounts, but cannot send from second account. Sent email goes to the Outbox and stays there.
I've tried going back to a second profile, and it works fine. Mail in Outbox from efforts above stay in Outbox. If I pull them up, I can resend with no issue.
I need to be able to send with multiple accounts in same profile to do other projects I'm currently working on. Any ideas???

I was able to fix this with Outlook 2010 Service Pack 1.
Another area that I had to change was the inbox for that other account I created a rule to put in the primary inbox folder (email 2).
After that the email was only checking one to send and recieve based on the highlighted account, so to resolved that I went to Send/Reveive Groups > Define Groups > Edit Account Properties and made sure they refresh every 1 minute(s).

Email account won't send from iphone

I just switched from a blackberry to iphone 4. I have set up all of my email accounts but my work account won't send emails to any accounts that are not from our server. I never had this problem with my blackberry so I know it can be done. The message always says "email address rejected by server". Anyone else have this problem?

I am using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send email. Can this FM capable of sending attachmnent files that is as large as 4MB?
My program is not sending large files.
Please advise as to what needs to be done in order to be able to send large emails.

NO! (or maybe you mean that you have configured 2MB in your SAP system?)
At SAP side, there are these parameters (SM30 SXPARAMS):
- Parameter MAXLEN_MIME_MESSAGE_SMTP is used to limit the whole email size (cf note 1171138 - Size restriction for outbound e-mails)
- Parameter MAXLEN_BODYPART_SMTP is used to limit the size of a part, i.e. an attachment (cf note 837300 - Size restriction when sending documents). There can also be MAXLEN_BODYPART_*_SMTP where * is the SO object type (RAW, ALI, SCR, etc.)
It's probably a limitation in the configuration of your own SMTP mail server.
Contact SAP support if you think there's an issue within SAP.

I recently updated to Mavericks and now all my e-mail accounts won't send. They all receive ok but when I send I get a message "sender address rejected by server" and " Authentification required" The passwords are still intact

Check the Mail settings for your account, especially the SMTP (outgoing) address, type of authentication, and entry of the proper email username and password. You can do this when you select the account then under the outgoing mail server use the dropdown menu to select the Edit option. Select your outgoing configuration in the list. Check the settings below, then click on the Advanced tab and check those settings.
If all is OK, then I suggest your reinstall Mavericks:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

Outlook links to my Exchange Account, I can send, but although the Progress screen indicates emails are being downloaded nothing at all is displayed in the inbox folders.

What version of Exchange Server are you trying to connect to?
Entourage can connect to Exchange Server 2003, but Outlook 2011 cannot. With Outlook 2011, you need at least Exchange Server 2007.
If you happen to be trying to connect to Exchange Server 2003 with Outlook 2011, then two typical workarounds are:
- If IMAP is turned on on Exchange Server 2003 -- it's off by default -- you can connect via IMAP rather than Exchange.
- If you don't have IMAP but have Outlook Web Access, then you can use DavMail as a workaround.

Can't send Large files in Mail

I am trying to send a 12MB RAW Image file to a Magazine editor, but Mail won't send it. It keeps telling me the server is not responding. Can anyone tell me how I can email large files?

Many internet service providers cap outgoing mail messages around 4 MB. Ask the magazine editor to offer you an FTP server to ftp the data to, and ask them if the FTP server uses passive, active, or SFTP. This cap is to prevent people from sending spam usually.

Oops...mail wont send large file and I cant get it to stop trying.

I was sending a ;large file (116 megs) email to my wife by mistake, thinking the file was the resized images I had. I was sending this via .me account. When I open mail now, my .me account still tries to send the files, and I cant make it stop. Its not in my drafts or outbox, but the cog spins forever on my .me account. I then see a folder which says it is a recovered mail folder and those images are in two emails in that folder. Any help? I just want my .me inbox to recieve mail again and to send mail when I need it to. This has been going on for two days now.

Search using the name of this large file in Spotlight -- anything show up in an unexpected location?
If you click on Window in the menubar, and choose Activity, what does it says is in process?
Quit Mail, and hold down the Shift key while clicking to relaunch Mail -- make any difference?

Exchange Mail Won't Send!

Hello! I'm having a crazy time trying to get email to send in Mac Mail to my Exchange server. I know that there might've been older posts but figured so much in the software has changed...
Mail will send perfectly from Entourage 2008, Mac Mail will get mail perfectly from Exchange server (2003 software), IMAP is also setup on the Exchange account, so I'm not trying to run this as an Exchange 2007 account. The log says RBL rejection... But only in Mac Mail - not Entourage. Also, when I'm in the office Mac Mail will send fine to the Exchange server, this problem only happens at home....
I'm running Snow Leopard on both machines now and decided to switch to Mac Mail from Entourage when I did the upgrade. I'm NOT switching back to Entourage!

Perhaps your problem is the same as mine. I had two accounts that used my exchange email address as the "Email Address:". Mail seemed to be picking the first one, which used SMTP to send mail rather than the second one that used Exchange as the outgoing mail server.
I was able to "alter" my email address on the first account (happen's to be an IMAP to voicemail account). Since I don't actually send mail using this account.

Using a BLOB data type in a CMP Entity Bean: Error when send large files

I've successfully impleenting BLOB in my EJB. But the main prob is, it can only work on small file which is around 3K. Any larger files than that will caused error (refer below). I got info from a friend which is using normal JDBC call to insert a file into BLOB column that you can't use java.sql.Blob data type which will have this limitation. He suggested that by using oracle.sql.BLOB, this prob won't exist.
The problem is I'm unable to use oracle.sql.BLOB in my CMP EJB because in the jbosscmp-jdbc.xml, I'm able to specify the normal BLOB only which is java.sql.Blob (Refer below).

Try to use the OCI native driver instead of THIN.

Mail stuck sending large file

I have just sent an email in Mail with a large attachment. For 2 days my sent icon has been working and no other mails can get sent. It is not giving me the option to stop sending, or reduce size. It is just stuck trying to send it. Help!

Is the message with too large attachment still trying to send? If so, again quit Mail, but this time, in the Finder, open Home, and while holding down the Option key click on Go in the menubar. This will allow you to click on Library, then the Mail folder. Then look in the Mailboxes folder for the Outbox.mbox folder. Remove it by draggin it to the Desktop (later to the trash, likely). Now relaunch Mail again. When you next try to send a normal sized message, Mail will recreate the Outbox.mbox folder. (Not booted into Lion at the moment, so unable to confirm all of this, but is how it could be done in all other versions of Mail.
Are you trying to put the large file somewhere as a backup, or are you, as I first thought, trying to send it to someone? File on iCloud are not meant for sharing with others, unlike iDisk.

General Mail settings won't open and Exchange account won't recieve mails

Here is a strange problem:
The Exchange mail account stopped working on my iPad after several month os working beutifully.
The issues:
New mails won't arrive, it looks like the exchange account is looping forever when trying to get new mails. (The network indicator is spinning.)
I can no longer open the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" setings, when clicked it marks the settings row but does not open any settings. After some minutes the Setting application ends and the iPad returns to the home screen.
I've tried:
Restarting the iPad - no help,
"hard" restart (hold down home+power for 10sec) - no help,
Upgrading from 3.2.1 to iOS 3.2.2 - no help,
restoring from an old backup (Edit: to be clear: I reset to factory settins and then restored to an old backup) - no help.
The last thing I tried was restoring the iPad to factory settings and register it in iTunes as a new iPad (thus completely reverting all changes) - this removed the Exchange account and when I re-added it, everything worked as it should.
However... I want my things I have in the backup... Anyone has an idea of either how to fix this issue without deleting everything on the iPad or how to restore a backup without getting the Exchange account setup?
Is there a "back-door" to removing an email account (or all accounts, or even all settings)?
Or perhaps a backup setting where you can choose what parts of a backup to restore? (So I can skip the exchange mail account settings.)

I decided to take the not so very nice road forward.
I reset my iPad to factory settings and restored it as a new iPad.
Then manually re-added all content I managed to backup (photos using a image transfer tool, the rest "pen and paper" style).
This way, the exchange account was recreated (exactly the same as before) and now it works again, just as it did before the hickup.
I still have a lot of info lost from the backup (game saves etc), so if anyone knows how to extract such things from the iPad backup that would be great!
Hope you get your issue solved eventually! The "hard way" worked for me but the whole situation has made me lower the iPad score, I don't love it as much as I did before this happend....

Help :- Send Large File From Server To Client

Hey guys, I am stuck with a problem.Hope u guys might be able to help me out. My problem is :-
From client i am doing an operation which results in calculation of results by server and saving a file on the server..But i want to see what results have been computed by the server and hence i want to stream that file back to the client..
The file may be of 100MB as well , that is, the size of the file may be huge.
I want u guys to tell me how to stream that file back to the client..I tried returning byte array which gets serialized and then received at client side but as i said the file may be huge so memory problem may arise, so returning byte[] from function is not a good solution..
I am looking something where server can send the file back to the client in chunks..Client keeps receiving these chucks and keep putting them in the file.
So how to make server send file in chunks??Also, i don't know the hostname and ports...so sockets i can't use...
Any Another way to do it...??
is PipedStream a solution??

If RMI is your only choice you can perform a method which would return alot of data and have seperate methods to download portions of it.
e.g.

int portions = rmi.loadBigFile("my-big-file.xml");
for(int i=0;i<portions;i++) {
byte[] bytes = rmi.returnPortion(i);
// do something with bytes.
}You can have the server cleanup the file when the last portion is read.

How to send large files using web service

hello everyone,
I am new to this forum, so please pardon me if I post some silly problem...
I have created one service which sends file when client (jsp) request it. I am using JBOSS as my server. purpose of this application is when client request some fle then service will send this file... and most of the time we need to send only pdfs and ppts...
Problem is, this service sends txt, java files easily of any size but when i tried sending PDF, PPT then i got xml.SAXParseException.......
I thought this error is because of some characters, but how to fix it....
I am working on Linux.

and one more thing can i send byte array from a web service as i tried but couldnt do that... so i am reading everything in a single byte array and then converted to string.....
is it possibel to send file in a chunk?if yes, how to do that?

I am sending file from server to client i.e client will request for a file and service will send it back....... no socket connection is there...I am using JBOSS and apache axis.
