Exchange - Active Sync - Calendar - Mobile sync, all information at a specific date and older is deleted.

Hello, I'm a IT Consultant. One of our users has lost their calendar entries from 2013 August and older. We do have a recovery solution to get this data back, but to prevent this from ever happening again. Is there a option to do so?
What we so far figured out is that there might have been an issue with the sync between the device and the server. That in the case the phone found out it didn't have enough space for all calendar entries, it deleted the old ones instead of ignoring it.
This could be wrong though.
We just found this out so the user does not know what type of phone he used when this occured. But the default mail app was used.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

There is an option to prevent this happening in future
Ensure the phone is configured in POP profile only which will delete the emails from phone only and not from server.
Inorder to do that delete the user activesync account and while recreating choose manual setup option and there you can see POP options.
Make sure delete email from server option is unchecked.The setting is under More Settings, then under Incoming Settings. On the bottom it says 'delete email from server' uncheck the option

If you would like to get back in time and see when the user did a logon / logoff then you need to have auditing enabled. Help with Sync Calendar with Outlook all appointments do not sync..

I am not a super tech but I do have some pretty good skills for a girl, if i do say so myself.... however I am So frustrated.. I need help.
This is my very first public post.. So I hope I give all the info that will help, but if I missed something, please let me know.
Here is some background info:
I have a BB Bold
I do NOT use it on an enterprise (network)
I sync my bb with my dell
Windows Vista (UGH!!!)
Microsoft outlook - Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001
My calendar and my contacts are the most important reason I have a bb
My contacts are FINE
My calendar is a MESS
I have 2 separate email addresses working though my bb.. For the purposes of his post I will refer to them as

[email protected]
When I make appointments in my work calendar, I do one of the 2 things to get all my appointments on the BB
Schedule my gmail address as an attendee to the appointment or
Forward the appointment to my gmail address from my work email
When I make appointments directly from my BB I do it by selecting Menu>New = my gmail account defaults as the "send using"
BB Info:
When I am in the calendar and I select >Menu.Options> Calendars> I have 3 options
[email protected] which has (518 entries)
Device Default which has (157 entries)
[email protected] which has (429 entries)
When I go to Menu>Options>Advanced Options>Default Services>(CICAL) is [email protected] it shows that I have the options to select my Gmail OR my .mac address
Here is the problem - this did not used to happen, and I quite honestly didnt realize that my backup was messed up so i have NO idea how long this is going on.
When I sync with Outlook
There are only 518 appointments that are synced
I cannot get the other 157 (device default) + 429 (mac) to sync with my outlook
Can anyone help me get them all on my gmail calendar? or into my outlook so that I can then sync back with the BB
I do not sync my bb with my mac

Screaming at the computer
Screaming in spanish at the blackberry
ignoring them both
I have restrained myself from throwing both of them against the wall.
but seriously
I have set the BB desktop manager to do a one way sync > bb to outlook = NOTHING Only the gmail syncs
I have changed the (CICAL) to my mac address and performed a sync = NOTHING - only the gmail syncs
I am at a loss and would appreciate any help.

Hi,
We shall then forget about the MAC records.
Outlook contains the 158 records from the Gmail associated calendar.
The default calendar records need to be cleared and restored to the Gmail associated Calendar.
The resulting Blackberry gmail associated calendar will then be synchronized with Outlook to add the former default records
resulting in synchronized calendars on both Outlook and the Blackberry.
Read this over, I suggest more than once. Method three is what we are going to do.
Let me know tomorrow what questions you have with the procedure so we can make sure we are successful.

Oddities with syncing calendars through iPhone. Unexpectedly a host of events and entries disappeared.

In the last few days the syncing process of calendars (iPhone and MacPowerbook) through iTunes suddenly ends up deleting (or perhaps merely not displaying) a host of historical and even current events. This is most disconcerting if one relies on Calendar as one's main agenda. I have made sure all active calendars have been ticked.

that is why you shoudl reply on google calendar and use iphone calendars to sync to google calendar instead. so if you ever need your events, you can always access them on the web.

Sync calendar from iOS5 device to SL iMac via wire, and Lion Macbook via iCloud?

Hi all
I want to have one calendar updating across all devices. In the past I've updated it either on my iPod Touch or iMac, and synced it via iTunes. My Leopard Macbook, and my wife's SL Macbook, then subscribed to this calendar via iCalX, a web server I found. So the laptoops couldn't update the calendar but could at least see it. The iMac and Touch could update it.
So here comes iCloud. I now have a Lion Macbook Air, and I've updated my Touch and wife's iPhone iOS5.
But the main calendar is still on the iMac. I want to sync it to the Touch, and I can't do that via iCoud because it doesn't support SL (wife's computer also runs SL). So I need to continue syncing via iTunes between the iMac and iTouch. But I also want to sync via iCloud from the Touch to the MBAir and iPhone (ideally, finally, the iPhone could then sync via ITunes to the SL Macbook...)
Is this possible?

I have a itunes 11, iMac, iPad sync issue... all new kit, the itunes library and photos are on a networrk drive but syncing is useless, no music, no photos, no video, sometimes music and videos may be visible but greyed out on the ipad....

This is my first posting so sorry for the messy title... I didn't realise how it all worked here.
I have a shiny new imac, shiny new ipad and have all my media on a network hard drive - itunes works fine on the mac - no problems - photos visible in finder and photoshop - no problems, but when I come to sync the new ipad - several things may happen (I have tried many times now)
1) a long wait - whirly gig round spinner thing - then music visible on the ipad but greyed out and useless
2) no photos at all synced
3) no videos synced
4) info syncs ok
5) apps seem to have synced OK
It is not a data size issue as the same amount of data synced before the new kit from my old windows pc on to an iPod - I daren't try syncing the ipod as I need it for my next business trip.
I tried removing the ipod cache files for the photos - no difference - I tried restoring the ipad - no difference
Have I completely wasted a large amount of money?

ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"

I had this problem and finally fixed it after trying numerous ideas on the net.
Before doing the following steps I quit out of icloud on my iphone and my Macbook Pro
Step 1: Finder Menu Go /Go to folder/~/library
Step 2: Open Preferences folder
Step 3: Delete com.apple.syncserver.plist
Step 4: Reboot

Sometimes resetting the phone and rebooting your computer will fix this. Reset your phone: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release. You will not lose any data doing this. Now reboot your computer and try syncing again.

How to add calendar enries to all users in organization using powershell and EWS.

I am one of the exchange admins for our organization. Every year, we publish academic calendar data to all faculty and staff calendars. We recently updated and migrated from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 which, of course, desupported MAPI and
ADO. The processes we previously used had to be re-written using Exchange Web Services API (EWS). Because I find that powershell is easy to work with, I wanted to integrate the calendar dispersal using powershell.
Having not found much help online using the EWS .NET library in powershell for this purpose, I decided to share my code:

--Edit-- I have updated the script for Exchange 2010 SP1, also added logging, error checking and email notifications. This new script also checks first to make sure the appointment doesn't already exist before adding it. (To prevent multiple
entries of the same event... Note: This check, although necessary in my opinion, is very time consuming.)

I am trying to add addition propertires like TV, Copier etc. to Room Mailbox in Exchange 2010 using following commands:-

The time on my iphone 5C is constantly changing, regardless of me setting the correct time manually or automatically, all iOS is up to date and phone is not damaged, any ideas?

The time will stay correct for an hour or so, then jump backwards for no reason. I have tried setting the time manually and automatically and still get the same problem, and have tried with wifi on and off and it still does it. All my software is up to date and tried contacting EE who said to ask Apple. Phone is about 11 months old and have had no previous problems.

Here is a very simple example via PowerShell and WMI. It requires your collection id, site code and site server as input. It writes as output the collectionmember plus query, or direct.

Hmmm, you may regret not using your laptop (presumably to synch to iTunes ... that's very likely the simplest and fastest way).
Otherwise, assuming you do not have an iCloud backup, you'll just be able to retrieve your iTunes purchased songs. Open iTunes on your iPhone, go to "More" on the bottom right, then click "Purchased", and download your songs from there.

Won't sync calendars, will sync almost all of my contacts

No idea why, but I used to be able to sync my calendars, but not my To Do lists, now it won't sync either. And won't sync all my contacts, saying that it's because of the amount of material on my iPod (I've over 1 G free, and there are about 100 contacts still to go).
I've thrown away the old iCal preferences, done a clean reinstall but no luck.
Can anyone help?

I had the same problem right after I installed the update. I tried everything. Finally, this morning, I just decided to reset my ipod over and over again (2 or 3 times) until all my calendars, contacts, etc. showed up properly. It worked. check out this link for more details:
