Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
First of all, I suggest that you make sure that the server address that you are using for the Exchange account is not an internal address. If it's an internal address, it will only work via WLAN at your work. Your IT department should be able to assist you with the correct information/settings.
Otherwise, make sure that you have removed any Proxy/Port details for your internet APN via Setting > More... > Mobile networks > Access point names > Tap your internet APN.

  • Could not open connection to server

I upgraded to latest software, now emails are a no go , tried reinstalling software several times, removing and reinstalling mailwise app, no joy.

    I am running 4.4.2
I had to factory default the thing as the voice quality so soo poor and nothing seemed to make a difference.
Now I cannot for the love nor money create a office365 exchange account.
I keep geeting "can not connect to server"
Tried several mail apps along with standard one, no joy.
After countless hours trying everything I can think of, i'm frustrated.
Is anyone else in the same boat as me?
Thanks heaps in advance for any assistance.

  • Could not open connection to server - Exchange active sync

I would be using the email for past 9 months and suddenly stopped receiving mails... So I have deleted and tried to add account freshly, unfortunately the server occurred...
Below are the workaround followed to resolve but no positive results,
    1. Verified for proxy
    2. It's not working in both wifi and mobile network
    3. When I configure in my friend mobile, it got connected to the server successfully.
Please look in this and let know the solution to resolve ... Thanks in advance..
    Note: I'm using Z1 model

Are you using KK or LP firmware

    Hi,
Telnet server use TCP port 23 by default.
Here is a screenshot of my lab server,
To verify if the TCP port 23 has been opened, we can use the portqry tool.
    Here is the download link,

  • Heart beat could not open connection, error code 110

Hi, where can I find error codes for NFR and NSM?
I have problems with some agents connecting to the engine:
2/17/2010 16:02:55 EngineInterface: Heart beat could not open connection, error code 110
Both engine and agent runs on the same server (10.236.19.147):

Another OES2 server connects fine to the engine, butI have a Netware agent, which also fails to connect:

    NFR is 1.0.0
    Thanks for any input.
    Istvan

Hi Istvan! Sorry for the delay in our response! we are in the process
of building a list of error codes for everyone! in the meantime the 110
    means the following:
    // Couldn't create a new network interface
    #define CC_STATUS_CCS_CANT_CREATE 110
Is this an NSM integration installation?
    Also, remove the alternate hostname.
If you don't mind, let's move this support issue to
    filereporter"@"novell.com!
    Thank you!

Launcher means shortcut to execute any file which is inside folder in Linux.Launcher are created on desktop to execute by one click of mouse. You need to create a command file that contains the required instructions to run putty with whatever relevant command line switches in order to start the remote program/process on Linux.
For example, you have a trusted ssh connection (no password prompting) between your Windows account and the Linux vmware account. You need to execute command line +/home/vmware/bin/vmstart myVM+ on Linux.
Your command file in Window will look something as follows:
    @echo off
"c:\program files\putty\pssh.exe" vmware@my-linux-server "/home/vmware/bin/vmstart myVM"Once you've create this command file (.cmd file extention), you can create a desktop shortcut for it and assign an icon to it.
However, first test the command file via an interactive console session to ensure it works. Also, I'm not sure you can script telnet using putty - but putty's ssh does support the standard ssh command line and one can execute programs/commands on the remote server in this fashion.
Setting up trusted ssh connections is also important as passwords is a weak security mechanism. It requires a secret to be used and coded into scripts/software that needs to be authenticated.
With ssh you generate a public/private key combination, and provide the public key as unique identifier for your o/s user and platform to a remote server (e.g. Linux). This now enables your platform and o/s user to be authenticated via the privatre/public key pair when your platform establishes a connection with the server.
In putty, generate a ssh key (RSA). Copy and paste the public key into the Linux server account's "+home/vmware/.ssh/authorized_keys+" file. Make sure that the +.ssh+ directory and key have user read/write permissions only. And that's it - no password needed by your account to ssh into the Linux server account. No secrets that need to be kept secret (and that can be stolen and used from any other platform to gain access).

Can anyone please help with this telnet problem on CISCO 877 ADSL Router
I am trying to telnet into my ISP Router remotely using public IP which has been dynamically assigned to the router by the ISP.
I can Ping the Router and I can also go out to the internet on that router but, I can not telnet into that router from Inside the Network nor Outside the Network. There are no Firewalls involved.

  • Restore Failure - Could not open connection to helper tool

I created a disk image on an external firewire drive using disk utility.
The external drive is bootable and I run the Disk Utility software from the external drive.
When I try to restore from the image selecting the source and target I get the following error after clicking the "Restore" button:
    "Restore Failure
Could not open connection to helper tool."
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
    Additional info:
    MacBook Pro 2.16 Intel
    Tiger 10.4.7
    Boot ROM MBP12.0061.B00
    SMC 1.5f10
    Internal Hard Disk: ST9120821AS
    External Hard Disk: FireLite FW800
    All software and firmware up-to-date
    Disk Utility 10.5.6 (198.12)

I've experienced the same problem. What I know is that we built a system image using Disk Utility on a MacPro and we experience this error when attempting to restore the image on another MacPro using Disk Utility.
I've successfully built system images of MacBook Pros and restored them without any problems. However, I believe I may have built the image using Carbon Copy Cloner. This may warrant some more experimentation using the different utilities.

  • Getting "Could not open connection to helper tool" when restoring a disk

I have installed OS X 10.4 on to my USB flash drive using the OS X disc that came with my iMac 24". I wanted to use the flash drive for booting the system in case I run into trouble with my iMac.
Everything was good. I was able to use the flash drive to boot my iMac with no problem. I made an image of the flash drive using Disk Utility. However, when I tried to restore it, Disk Utility kept reporting "Restore Failure: Could not open connection to helper tool". Please tell me what to do.
The USB flash drive is formatted using GUID Partition table.

    Same problem here.
I successfully created an image from a drive and I'm trying to restore to another drive.
I get the "preparing source..." for 2 seconds before the "Restore Failure" dialog with his geeky and meaningless error message. what is helper tool?! I thought I was using Disk Utility!!
Anybody can suggest a work around for yet another problem missed by QA ?
    thanks in advance.

  • Safari could not open because the server is not responding - my Internet is fine

My iPad suddenly is giving me the message "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding".  My Internet is working fine on other devices and other applications (i.e. Mail) seem to be working fine on the iPad.  I've turned the iPad off and on.  Any thoughts?

Can you get onto any site in Safari, or can't you even open the app properly ? You could see if any of the following help.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Looks like some domains you are sending to have implemented spam filters and they consider your email content to be spam.  You'll need to contact them and have them set up any whitelists for your domain as needed.

As far as telnet goes make sure you are using port 25 and your static IP.  Firewalls sometimes block this internally.

I'm hoping someone else can help me here. I've searched google and technet and have found other people who experience this issue, but noone has seemed to have a fix.I'm doing a migration from Exchange 2007 to 2013. Everything is working great and the 2007 has now been uninstalled. I'm noticing though when creating a new room mailbox I get an error about "the mailbox was created but some properties could not be saved | cannot open mailbox /cn=Microsoft System Attendant"As the message says the mailbox is created OK, and it seems to work OK, but I still get this message every time I create a new resource. I've tried creating the resource via the EMS and that does NOT throw the error.I only have one 2013 server with one database so it is not an issue of the mailbox store hosting arbitration mailboxes being dismounted like I've seen a few...
