Exchange Cal. invites accepted on one device resets other devices...

Scenario:
Accept calendar invite on MBP. Invite acceptance does not get pushed to other devices. Accepting the same calendar invite on the iPhone will reset the MBP to not accepted. Accepting it on the iPad does the same thing, resets the iPhone. The same thing happens no matter where the invite is initially accepted.
I have not seen anything related to this. i have tried removing the account from both iOS devices, as well as restoring both devices. This has only recently started happening, I'd say since the last month or 2. Google calendar works as expected. Needless to say I need my calendar invites in sync no matter which device I have.
Could this be an Exchange server issue?

  • Exchange calendar invitations accepted in IOS remain "new" in iCal

My work calendar and email is based on Exchange. I manage both from a Mac (using Outlook 2011 for Mac) and an iPhone 5 running IOS 7.latest.
It works just fine. If I accept an invitation on any platform is is accepted on all. Then I look at OSX Calender (which I will refer to as iCal) and I still see a mass of invitations (the ones that I accepted on my phone or using Outlook).
I use iCal because I share calendars with the rest of my family using iCloud. So that I can view my work and home calendars in one place, I have also set up iCal to see both iCloud and Exchange calendars.
The iCloud side of the house does what I want it to do. The problem comes with the way iCal deals with calendar invitations from my Exchange account. Here goes:
I receive an Exchange calendar invitation.
I process it (accept/tentative/decline) using Outlook on the Mac or the IOS Calendar on my iPhone.
The invitation on the device I didn't use goes away.
    I open iCal.
The "new" invitation is still there in iCal waiting to be processed, the only way to clear it is to accept/tentative/decline it.
I cannot find any setting to prevent this from happening. iCal seems to ignore changes in status of Exchange invitations.
Any ideas gratefully accepted! Thanks, Charlie

have had what I think is similar issue.... on both ipad and iphone.  Running IOS6.  Have gmail account setup through exchange connector.  IOS receives and accepts invites just fine from external devices....  If i create a new invite on the IOS device and add invitees with external email addresses, once this calendar invite is saved into the diary it doesnt trigger invites to go out to those 3rd parties... but the invite definitely is in the calendar as can also see it on mast google calendar.
If I then go and move the timing of the invite that has been created on the IOS device (by holding down and dragging to new time) this then immediately triggers an invite (new Invitiation, not reschedule) to be sent to the external email addresses...  any further modification to timing of invite then triggers 'reschedule' calendar invites to go out - so expected behaviour.
The issue is that IOS is not triggering the invite to go out to external parties who have been added to a newly created invite - and it only does this when the date/time of the invite is modified.
Spent about 1.5 hrs on phone to apple support yesterday - they have now passed on to 3rd level support....
Are others seeing the same behaviour as above?

  • Exchanging licence.bea file from one  machine to other.

    Hi,
If we exchange licence.bea file in Home Directory of weblogic 8.1 in one machine to the Home Directory of Other machine.
Will there be any changes that we observe ?
Please if any one tried or know in detail about licence.bea file ,send the Suggestions .
    Thanks and regards
    Srinireddy

Your license.bea is specific to the IP of the machine. As long as the new machine has the same IP as the old, it should work. At least that is how it works with Solaris.

  • Exchange 2010 remove one device from ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs

    Hi,
I am wondering if there is a way to remove one device ID from the ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs. I run "get-casmailbox -identity useraccount | format-list" to determine the number of devices in the ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs field. The user may
have multiple devices in this list. I simply want to remove one of these device. I know I can run "set-casmailbox -identity useraccount -ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs $null" , the problem is that will clear all devices.
    Thanks
    Andy Stoyles

You must have ActiveSync quarantine enabled. When you approve a device that was quarantined, it will be added to the ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs
list. If you were to run the above Remove-ActiveSyncDevice command, it will delete the device
association from Exchange which is good, but it doesn't clear the device from the ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs list.
This is an issue, if the user attempts to setup the same device again with ActiveSync they are able to bypass the quarantine because the device still remains on the ActiveSyncAllowedDeviceIDs
    list.
    I hope this helps

  • AP Ex access works for one device connection, 2nd device gets booted off

I have a brand new 1 TB Time Capsule AirPort Extreme set up with PPPoe, and an AT&T Motorola 2210-02 modem set up PPP ("Private IP for LAN device").
    screen shot:
    http://courses.wccnet.edu/~klund/ss/sstimecapsulesettings.png
(This was the only way I could get it to work after trying several other configurations.) My MacBook Pro AirPort is able to connect; however we have an LG Blu-ray player with wireless access and when I turn that on it kicks the laptop off.
    screen shot:
    http://courses.wccnet.edu/~klund/ss/ss_kickedoff.png
In addition, I'm not able to connect with my iPod touch after the password is accepted.
I had this exact problem with the older AirPort (UFO looking one) and was told by several store people that it probably just crapped out. (It had been working fine with more than one device at our previous residence - when we moved the only new variable was the Motorola modem.)
I couldn't find other posts like this, I hope this isn't redundant.

When I did the TC in Bridge mode (+ modem PPP) I got a Double NAT error and as soon as the setup was finished I got the kickoff message again.
    http://courses.wccnet.edu/~klund/ss/ss_modemPPP-TCbridge.png
That screen shot shows why you're seeing those messages about "another device on the network ..." The Time Capsule is using that same IP address.
The interface for the modem only gives me the 3 choices for bridge mode vs. PPP etc, there aren't any manual configuration options that I can locate.
I'd try all three options. For the option "PPP is on the modem" I would have thought that putting the Time Capsule into bridge mode would work, but evidently it did not. For either of the other options ("PPP is on the computer" and "Bridged Mode") I'd configure the Time Capsule to connect using PPPoE.
The Time Capsule Manual says this, to my further confusion:
+The Time Capsule has three hardware addresses printed on the bottom of the case:+
+-AirPort ID: The two addresses used to identify the Time Capsule on a wireless+
    network.
+-Ethernet ID: You may need to provide this address to your ISP to connect your+
    +Time Capsule to the Internet.+
Those three "hardware addresses" are MAC ("Media Access Control") addresses. Those are assigned by the manufacturer and are completely different from IP addresses.

  • IOS 6 Exchange calendar invitations not working

I like a lot the improved calendar invitations layout in iOS6, but for the life of me I can't seem to get it to work.
The new buttons do not seem to do anything.
My calendar is running under Exchange and I would like to know if any other users have managed to 'accept, decline or maybe' invitations on iOS6 with Exchange?
    Many thanks

How do I use the time capsule to share itunes music between multiple apple devices? Also, is it possible to control the music on one device using another, and how do you set this up?

unless i'm missing something, i think you got mixed up, this is easy google for walk throughs
i'm assuming this is the new 3tb tc AC or 'tower' shape, if so, its wifi will run circles around your at&t device
unplug the at&t box for a minute and plug it back in
factory reset your tc - unplug it, hold down reset and keep holding while you plug it back in - only release reset when amber light flashes in 10-20s
connect the tc to your at&t box via eth in the wan port, wait 1 minute, open airport utility look in 'other wifi devices' to setup the tc
create a new wifi network (give it a different name than your at&t one) and put the tc in bridge mode (it may do this automatically for you, but you should double check) under the 'network' tab
login to your at&t router and disable wifi on it
add new clients to the new wifi network, and point your Macs to the time machine for backups

  • Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device at a time?

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair, i.e. multipoint, with more than one device at a time?
Are the MacBook and iPhone 4 capable of multipoint bluetooth technoloagy?
The goal is for my wife to be able to watch her Korean TV soap operas on her MacBook and still receive a call on her iPhone 4 via a stereo bluetooth headset.
I was looking at the Motorola S10-HD but after further review saw that it only pairs with one device at a time.
Appreciate any and all input. My Googling has returned no results.

You can only pair one device at a time to your 8330, or any other phone for that matter.  The "pairings" are saved to the phone, you can use one or the other and you won't have to pair it again.  Once you turn your bluetooth device on and the phone is on, they will find each other again.

  • Unable to connect more than one device

    Hi.
We have copper Broadband with a fairly decent speed (13MB) and a HH3.
I run a desktop PC for general internet access but my wife uses an iPad and is always downloading films, music etc. We also have a BT Vision box which is connected via Ethernet direct to the HH3 (there are no issues at all with the Vision).
The hub is located centrally within very close range of the devices with no major structures blocking the path, indeed wireless strength is excellent.
For a long time now it has been the case that with one of us on, the other cannot use their device as the connection is either too slow or it actually knocks the other off-line. I used to run an Ethernet connection for my PC (my wife is wireless) but having read that the HH3 does not like mixed connections I bought a wireless dongle which initially seemed to help but now we are back to where we started.
Re-starting the hub sometimes seems to help but not always and might just be a coincidence.
Obviously it is very inconveniant being able to only use one device at a time.
Does this sound like a hub issue?

It could be a faulty hub because the HH3 should be able to handle multiple connections of both wireless and Ethernet without problem.
The first thing do do is try a factory reset of the homehub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds which can often sort out configuration problems.

  • How do I copy the same app folder layouts from one device to another? We have a several iphones and ipads.

how do I copy the same app folder layout from one device to another. We have several apple devices.
It's a challenge when syncing a device for the first time to go through all the apps and apply them back to the same folders as on your other iphone.
I've seen suggestions of taking pictures of the correct layout, then manually applying it to the new device. Big time waister.
    What's the work around?
    Thank you

I'm afraid there is no short workaround. One thing that you could do if you were REALLY desperate is reset your device to factory settings and then restore it from your other device's backup, but that is rather risky and you probably don't want to take your chances just for folder layouts. I would just do it manually.

  • How do I make one (and only one) device use my Apple ID and iCloud account?

How do I make one (and only one) device use my Apple ID and iCloud account? I currently have an iPad mini, iPhone 5, and MacBook pro attached to my apple accounts, but I want only my iPhone 5 to be assosiated with either one. Whenever I use any of the three devices, I get a notification on the other two telling me that these devices are now using these accounts from these services, etc. and I want these notifications to stop, along with the devices using to them. How do I do this? I completely reset the iPad mini so I don't know how I'm still getting notifications from it, and I deleted and signed of of all of my accounts everywhere I could find on my Mac. So, to restate exactly what I want to do, I want ONLY my iPhone 5 to use ANY of my Apple/iCloud accounts and ONLY it can receive emails, iMessages, and FaceTime calls. Thanks!

If you want to disconect your Mac from iCloud, go to System Preferences>iCloud and click Sign Out.  If you only want to stop using iCloud email, just uncheck Mail.  To stop iMessage, open the Messages app, go to Messages>Preferences, click the Accounts tab, click your iCoud ID on the left-hand side, then to the right click Sign Out.  To stop FaceTime, open the FaceTime app, then click "Apple ID" then click Sign Out.
On your iPad, go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account (or if you only want to stop using iCloud email, turn Mail off).  For FaceTime, go to Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID and sign out.  For iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID and sign out.

  • How do I use AE to allow more than one device with my cable modem?

I connected by AE to my cable modem at my house in Japan and it works fine on "bridge mode," but only for one device at a time (this laptop, but not my iPod Touch, or vice versa). As soon as I connect a new device, it will kick the other one off. It seems that my cable modem here will only allow one device. Is there a way that I can use my Airport Extreme to allow more than one device and not have to pay the Internet provider extra for multiple IP addresses? How do I go about this? Do I select "share a public IP address" or do I select "distribute a range of IP addresses?" I tried these options but obviously wasn't doing it correctly, because then I lost the connection for everything... Thanks!

It would be best if you "hard reset" the Airport Extreme to clear out the old and conflicting settings and then reconfigure it again.
Hold in the reset button until you see the amber light begin to blink more quickly. Keep holding for another 3-4 seconds when you see this and then release the reset button. That will get the Extreme back to the original starting point.
After you have powered the modem back up after the full reset, you will need to reconfigure the AirPort Extreme again. If you are using he guided setup in AirPort Utility, you will choose the option to "create a wireless network" during the setup.
If you are using the Manual Setup, the Wireless Mode will be "Create a wireless network" and the setting for Connection Sharing would be "Share a public IP address". Adjusting the Connection Sharing setting would be the last thing that you do before you click Update to save settings.
Here, I am assuming that you have a simple cable modem (it will have only one ethernet port), correct?

  • Only one device will connect to wifi via my airport Extreme

The power went off at our house recently. Since then I have been unable to connect more than one device via my airport extreme. I have tried unplugging and resetting both modem and router repeatedly. It would switch between laptops, allowing one to be connected while saying the other had no connection and to reset the router/modem. I have tried reconfiguring the airport express (a couple of times). I have tried resetting the network settings on my iphone5. I have restored the factory settings on my iphone5... On my iphone5 the Airport Utility cannot locate the Airport Extreme. It says no base stations have been found.
My husbands android mobile also cannot connect to wifi (which it previously could).
    Help please!

So it seems a night of rest has done everything a world of good!  I just turned on the second lap top, it connected to the wifi.  Then with bated breath tried the iphone5 and it connected too.  So, seems that the resets I did yesterday did do the trick, just things needed to be shut down and restarted again. Yay!
