Exchange Calendar Appointment Reminders Showing up to a Week Early

Hi,
We have a user with an iPhone 3GS and he's having an issue where he gets alerts for appointmets up to a week early. Sometimes he gets a new appointment and upon accepting it he gets the reminder. We're using Exchange 2003 SP2 as our Email/Calendar application and he's the only one who's having the issue. Phone has been restarted and SIM card reseated. He does not sync directly with Outlook and he does not have any other issue with Exchange.
Thanks in advanced.

This seems to have been lost as part of the updated iCloud.com. This is a real shame as it was a really useful view. Hopefully it will be back soon.

  • Calendar.app not showing First Day of Week selected in iCal

I have selected Monday as the first day of the week in iCal. After syncing, Calendar.app on my iPhone 4 does not show Monday as first day of week. My original iPhone 2G (3.1.3, jailbroken) does show the correct start day, Monday.)
I do not need assistance with my iPhone 2G. I need a solution for my iPhone 4.
How do I get my iPhone 4 to be in sync with my other calendars?

That's a real pain. I'm in Australia and the regional settings have Monday as the first week, which throws me out because all my calendars and even settings in iCal have Sunday as the first day of the week (which is what it's supposed to be). To get what I want, I have to set my country as New Zealand, and this messes up my phone number formats (closest to Australia than any of the others that start the week correctly though). It should be an option in the settings!

  • Exchange calendar on iPhone won't show up on iCal

I set up my iPhone to get email and calendar from work, which is an Exchange account. When I sync the iPhone with my laptop, the work stuff (Exchange calendar) doesn't show up on iCal.
    - On iTunes I have the settings set to Sync All Calendars
    - On the iPhone I have the Exchange account settings to get Mail, Contacts, and Calendars
How do I get this account to show up on iCal?

    Hello cclaxton,
It sounds like you were able to import around 300 photos from your phone to your computer but there are still about 100 left on the phone that will not delete, and do not show up for import in image capture or iPhoto. From what you are describe, it seems as if the photos were synced from an computer through iTunes to the phone. Use the following article to delete those synced photos from the device:
    iTunes: Syncing photos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236
To delete synced photos and videos from your device
In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
    Click Apply.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Exchange calendar from iPad doesn't sync with iCal

Hi there, I hope this is the right community to post my problem....
OK, I'm using an iPad 3 (iOS 5.1) which syncs rather nice with the Exchange account (mail, contacts, calendar) of my company.
But if I try to sync the Exchange calendar from the iPad via iTunes with my Mac at home (24'' iMac DualCore 2006, OS10.6.8) the Exchange calendar won't show up in iCal. Every other calendar I created for test showed up just fine...but not the one I sync'd with my Exchange.
Any idea how I get this to work ?

Syncing your Exchange calendar on your Mac through your iPad isn't the best approach.  What you should do instead is sync your Mac with Exchange directly.  In other words, treat the iPad--Exchange sync and the Mac--Exchange sync  independently.  This is what I do, and it works great on my Mac.
Your iPad--Exchange setup is working fine, so leave that alone.  Turning then to the Mac-Exchange setup, I'm not in front of my Mac at the moment, but basically to set up Exchange on your Mac, go into the email preferences and select new account.  Configure it as an Exchange account and enter the relevant information.  You will need to know the "EWS" (Exchange Web Service) address... it is usually something like "outlook.companyname.com" and your regular login info.  For me, it was the same web address as if I wanted to access my email from a webpage using the MS Outlook Web Access feature.  Your IT folks can help with this if necessary.
Once you set this up, you can also sync calendars, reminders, and contacts onto your Mac too.  And the best part is that this will sync with your iPad!

  • Exchange calendar not in calendar list on PRE

So after 3 weeks of working on getting exchange set-up I finally did it.  Contacts and Email work great but the Calendar shows up in my account list but when I go through my calendar's via the drop down menu at the top right in the calendar view, my exchange calendar does not show up.  Events that I set-up on my computer show as blocked out time on my PRE but I am unable to access the event.  The exchange calendar is not in the list of available calendars to make a default calendar and I'm also unable to create new events to the exchange calendar.  It does not even show up as an available calendar in the list.
    Someone please help.

I seem to be having the same or a similar problem.  Exchange does not show up in the drop down on the default calendar list or in the drop down where it normally says "All" on the main calendar page.  Exchange is properly setup and I even get notifications for my exchange appointments, but I also have issues viewing those appointments.  I'm not sure if the issue in this thread has these issues too:
    * The appointments are not displayed in the calendar on my Pre
    * The Pre calendar will look like it is trying to find the appointments for the day I am viewing and never finishes (i.e. it will gray out like it does when you first switch the dat, but it never recovers!).  At this point, I can't even swipe left or right to move day to day.
I followed the advice of some other threads, and tested moving all my appointments into a backup calendar that wouldn't be sync'ed into the calendar on my Pre.  When I do this, I don't have that "grayed out" problem, but obviously I don't have any appointments from Exchange to look at.  Once I add one appointment back into my calendar from Outlook on my PC, sync my Pre calendar, and exit and re-open the calendar, the Pre gets back into that grayed out state and doesn't display the appointment.
Any advice for this one?  (This is on OS 1.1.0)

Calendar app completely stopped functioning today.   Multiple users are seeing this behavior (me included).
Here is a link to the conversation on pre-central: http://forums.precentral.net/webos-synergy-synchronization/222080-calender-not-synching-new-year.htm...
This is pretty serious as it completely disables one of the key/basic features of the phone.
    Please help.

I have now downloaded webos 1.3.5.1, and the problem seems to be resolved.   Thanks for getting this fixed so quickly, especially given the holiday weekend!

Using enterprise server.  some outlook appointments are being received as an email calendar notification; not a calendar appointment that shows on my calendar.  I have V4.7.1.6.1 and my assistant has V5.0.0.975 and his BB Tour 9630 does not have this problem.

  • Exchange Calendar Syncing but no events showing in my calendar

I have a palm pre plus from verizon and am using active sync with an exchange account.  My email and contacts sync perfectly.  I know my calendar events are in sync because I get my reminders pop up for events right when they should be (normally 15 minutes prior).  The problem is that when I open the calendar it shows no entries at all!  I have the exchange account set as default and have tried adding and deleting the account about 10 times to no avail.  I can even enter a new entry on the pre and it shows up in outlook shortly after.  When I am done entering the new appointment on the pre though and go back to the calendar page, it does not show.  I've tried only viewing the exchange calendar and showing all calendars and neither way shows me my calendar.  HELP!  Thanks everyone!

Same problem here.....latest webos installed, email and calendars downloading fine from Exchange, email sync'd working both ways, but calendar events entered on the Pre are not uploading to Exchange.  Problem has been going on since year 2010 bug fix in latest webos release.  What is the fix? Palm Pre from Sprint.

I am automating the process of sending appointment reminders to my clients. I started with an alert with an email in calendar using the clients email address as a custom entry in my me card in my contacts. this was resulting in three emails being sent with slightly different versions of the same address (see my previous post). Heating someone else's suggestion I created a workflow file to send an email and calling that file from an alert on my calendar. This is working and sends only one email to the client.
My calendar is on I cloud and I access it from three different computers so I can keep my appointment calendar current. The files that send the email only exist on one computer. My other computers show error messages when those emails get sent. It seems that each computer wants to send the email. It's a small problem but is there a way that I could not get those alerts.
But appreciate any thoughts about this. It seems like both problems might be related to the iCloud system.
    Thank you in advance,
    Michael

Good work, catch so far Michael, does seem to be a "feature" of iCloud syncing, not sure what you could do to disable it.

  • IOS 7 Calendar does not show appointments imported as VCS files in Microsoft Outlook / Exchange. Any solutions?

iOS 7 Calendar does not show appointments imported as VCS files in Microsoft Outlook / Exchange in Windows 7. I discovered this when downloading itinerary.vcs files from Delta to mark flights in my calendar. The work around I found is as follows:
Open the VCS file, this will create a Calendar entry in your Outlook,
Open the created Outlook Calendar entry, go to File -> Save As and then select to save as ICS file.
Delete original VCS-created appointment in your calendar to avoid multiple calendar.
    Open the re-saved ICS file.
Appointment will now correctly synchronize with your iPhone iOS 7 calendar.
If anyone has better alternatives to this process, please help out. Hopefully, Apple will fix this with the next iOS update.

Not sure this will work but if you go into the Keyboard preferences, then click the Keyboad Shortcuts tab, and then the '+', you can add your own shortcuts for any application.  I am not sure what happens if you try to override an existing shortcut since I haven't tried using this.
    Edit/Update:
Probably against my better judgement I'll also throw this out there - there's an Unsanity haxie called Menumaster which might also allow you to do what you want.  Against my better judgement because personally I stay clear of haxies.  It's (all haxies) probably almost certain to break in Lion.  They always do with each major release.

  • ICal - iPhone sync. Local calendar not showing up in iTunes list of available calendars, only Exchange calendars.

iTunes only shows Exchange-calendars in the list where you can choose which calendars (we're talking about "calendars", not "accounts") you want to synchronize. If I add a local calendar in iCal, I can not choose it to synchronize with my iPhone. It simply doesn't show up in the list of available calendars. How does iTunes compile this list of available Calendars to synchronize?

    Hi Zachary,
Here is an article I'd suggest to troubleshoot this situation:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
You may only need to go through the steps with one device and have it resolve for the others.

  • Reminders show on calendar MacBook but not iMac?

    Hi everyone,
I've recently installed Mountain Lion (version 10.8.3) on my late 2009 iMac and miss the to-do list that showed up on the sidebar of iCal in Snow Leopard.
I now see that there is a separate Reminders app but nothing from my calendar shows up in it.
When I look at Calendar on my late 2011 MacBook Pro, the reminders show up on the left hand side of it, why doesnt that also happen on my iMac?
MYOB uses Calendar to add bill due dates but its often more difficult to view whats due when and in what order, well at least a little more difficult than when I could see it in a ordered list and check them off as completed in Snow Leopard.
I know this is probably one of the more trivial questions but its really annoying me!!
Any help you can offer would be appreciated. I just dont understand why the layout isnt the same across the iMacs and MacBooks?
    Thanks
    Kristy
n.b. I am using an icloud calendar, not an On My Mac calendar.

Thanks, yes I have iCloud set up.
My question is why do reminders (or to-do's) not show on my iMac calendar they do on my MacBook Pro?
I do not need to sync from the iMac to any other devices. I just want the Calendar and Reminders app on my iMac to sync, and would really like to learn if there is a way to have reminders show up on the calendar itself.
I just checked my MacBook Pro version and its running Lion which still uses iCal. Possibly thats the reason they are different.
I will admit I'll be disappointed if this is just something thats not included with Mountain Lion.
