Exchange connector 3 not reading mail

Hi,
I have installed SCSM 2012 R2 and set up exchange connector 3.0, however incoming mail in the mbx of the workflow account is not parsed. I can see sometimes the connector will delete mail from the inbox, but it is not creating an incident in SCSM.

Hi,
Activated verbose logging and still no errors, but an interesting message:
Exchange Connector: [email protected] is not recognized as an email address of a known user in CMDB and will not be scanned by Exchange Connector
Only thing is that this IS a known user that shows up in the CMDB with correct username and email...

for the past few days when I restarted the ms exchange transport service the mails started flowing for  a while but that doesn't work anymore
    anyone that can help

    Hi Willem,
Please trying to verify the Receive Connector's setting. Also try to re-configure it or re-create a new one.
Please also try to use a external account, such as gmail account, to send a test message. If there is any NDR back to your gmail account, please paste the details without any sensitive information.
Please also collect errors in App log for the further troubleshooting.

  • N8 Mail for Exchange (can not send mails)

    Hi guys,
I just got my new Nokia N8. I already setup Mail for Exchange via IMAP to sync the mails, contacts and the calendar of my private mailbox.
Everything runs alright. But I can not send mails via Mail for Exchange. If I push on "New Mail" the program say the command can not be executed and breaks down.
Does someone know how to fix that problem?
     Thanks from Liechtenstein.
    Phil

    Hi,
I also had problems with unable to send emails.
I was getting error messages in the Mail for Exchange (MfE) log files such as
Setting DISK FULL status to false
Error occurred during sending mail. Setting status to waiting for reconnect
    HTTP failure while sending messages.
I figured out a work around. The problem seemed to be with the certificate.
I ended up deleting the certificate and then only selecting "Accept this time only" which made everything work.
    I am using a Nokia 5800.
    To delete a certificate goto
Setting > Phone > Phone mgmt > Security > Certificate Management > Trusted site certificates
find the offending certificate and delete it.
The next time I tried to synchronize my emails with Mail for Exchange, I was asked to select whether to accept the certificate... press the option button.
Then select "accept this time only".
After doing that, the emails in the outbox were sent properly.
I have to figure out how to get this to work permanently, but for the moment it was a quick fix.
[I hope this helps. I tried to be as descriptive as possible and write with correct spelling so that search engines will collect it.]

  • SCSM Exchange Connector not recognizing custom Service Request prefix

    Hello,
We have an Orchestrator runbook that brings over "Projects" from our Financial system into Service Manager as Service Request.   As a way to distinguish these as projects we changed the prefix from the default "SR" to "PT".
In all out testing everything worked fine until we installed the Exchange connector.  It won't recognize any Service Request that starts with a different prefix than "SR" (defined in the system settings).    Does anyone know of
a way to get the Exchange connector to recognize other prefixes?
    Thanks

    Hi,
The system uses the only prefix that defined in the settings. There's no way to add support for the second prefix in Microsoft Exchange Connector. But you can create your own custom connector with the required behavior.
    Cheers,

  • Exchange 2013 not delivering mails to Exchange 2010

I am upgrading exchange 2010 to exchange 2013 and currently in coexistence.  I cutover the mx to deliver mail to 2013 cas VIP last night and no mail was being received by the 2010 mailboxes, it was all being queued on the 2013 mailbox servers (mailbox
and cas servers are separate in this deployment.) There are only a few 2013 mailboxes as I have not yet started migrating them.  These 2013 internal mailboxes can not send to exchange 2010 either, but 2010 can send to 2013. 2013 to 2013 mail works
fine. I have read somewhere about an issue with a receive connector having the same ip range that includes the mailbox servers, but I'm not clear on really which mailbox servers it is alluding to.
All the exchange 2010 servers are all on the 10.1.1.* network.  Exchange 2013 CAS servers are all on the 10.1.1.* network and the 3 exchange mailbox servers are on 10.1.1.*, 10.1.2.* and 10.30.5.*.  Only 1 AD site.  On one of the 2010 receive
connectors there is a scope of 10.1.1.0/24  I'm wondering if this is the culprit and by removing it should fix the problem.  Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Exchange 2013 users are unable to send emails to exchange 2010 users then check your connectors on Exchange 2013 Mailbox server. and yes if you have overlapping of scopes in different connectors then this can happen.
Kindly mark this as answer if found helpful. Thanks.

  • After upgrading to ios 5 I can not read mail on my iPad, am I the only one?

After I have upgraded my iPad 2 to ios5 I get mail but can't read it. Is any anyone experiencing the same problem?

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • IPad Connector not reading certain SD disks

FedEx delivered the Camera/SD Card Connector kit today. The iPhone to the iPad is fine.
Sadly, the SD card connector/iPad isn't performing like it should.
I've tried 3 cameras and 4 different brands of SD cards. All the SD cards work on the Wii, my MacMini and a 3 yr old PC notebook.
However, on the iPad, only the 2 yr old Viking SD card and Sandisk work. Kingston and Lexar SD cards do not! Unfortunately the Kingston is new.
The iPad sees the Kingston and Viking SD cards but in a box it says, "THM" with a question mark.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't have my camera connector yet, but I read that formatting the card IN your camera, nit in your computer is one trick.

  • Exchange connector "Cannot send mail"

"An error occurred while delivering this message"
Great. Any way for me to find out what that error was?
I'm in a bit of a quandary, because I'm trying to set this up for my exchange server and it all seems to go OK (server configuration accepted etc) and then when I open the mail app it shows that the inbox was 'last updated DATE TIME' as if it is updating but there is nothing in the inbox and none of the other folders appear. When I try to send a message I get the error above. The strange thing is that I set it up to connect to a clients serve which is configured exactly the same as my system here, exchange server, router etc, and I get connected and email comes and goes with no problem.
Any ideas on what might be wrong or how to find out any diagnostic info, again like what the error actually is? Thanks!
    Mick

    Hi Mick,
I have the exact smae problem as you described. Did you find a solution yet.
Today I tested it with a first generation iphone, the exact problem with my account. So it has to do something with my credentials on the exchange server.
Hope you can help me out, in case you solved it. Meantime'I continue searching.
    Thanks

  • Why can I not read mail in Inbox?

Email in Inbox will not open when I select any of the mail. I accidentally did something when I hit the edge of the desk with the mouse. I guess this caused the problem. Mail in the Sent and Trash will open. How do I correct?

Will an email in the Inbox open if you double-click on it? If so, then you have accidentally minimized the Message Preview Pane.

  • My mail shows more not read mails that there are actually for hotmail

Why is it that with any mail acount I add (gmail, yahoo, etc.) everything works perfectly but with my hotmail acount, it shows me practicaly all my mails as unread

    Same problem here !

  • Can send but not get mail....

This is strange - my mailserver has imap/ssl/password. Before 3.0 upgrade all worked fine (hm... except a couple of days when I just got my Iphone where actualle the very same problem showed up, but suddenly started to work).
So, I can connect to server and send mail. But I can't connect to server to read/fetch mail (connection failed message).
I've exact same configuration on my macbook - working like a charm. Tested to remove account on Iphone and recreate, resync, you name it. Still not possible to read, only send.
    Why???

Anyone with any ideas are welcome....
Now I dropped all mail accounts on the phone and resynched with iTunes to recreate all mail accounts. Still - one of the accounts will not work. Possible to send but not read mail. And it is working on the mac.

  • Scsm 2012 r2 (ur 3) with exchange connector 3 - state never run but reveices mail in opm log?!

    Hello everybody,
we have installed scsm 2012 r2 (UR 3) with exchange connector 3. We have connected the connector by the workflow Account (domain user "servicedesk" is in local admin group of the sm server and in the sm Administrators group) and have access
to the mailbox on exchange (2010; autodiscovery is working correct). We receive all mails in the servicedesk mailbox on restarting the sm services and see the mails in the opm logs. But no incidents are created and the connector stays in "never
tun" state and does not receive mails any More after the first start. What do we have missed to check? Beste regards Thomas

i have added the registry keys.

  • Exchange Connector / Office 365 Not matching affected user to AD user

We use Office 365 to host our email services.   AD is not synchronized to office 365.  We're bringing Exchange on premises soon so there isn't a lot we want to invest in that existing infrastructure.  I'm using Service Manager 2012 R2.
I have the ADConnector configured, bringing in Active Directory users/groups/computers.
I've gotten the Exchange Connector running in order to retrieve emails from an "IT Services" Office 365 mailbox and automatically create tickets.  Notifications back to the users are working fine.
The problem I'm having is the affected user is not being set properly when a user emails the mailbox and an incident is created.  It is setting the Affected User to that user's name, but when I double click the Affected user, it brings up the "User
    - <UserName>" screen.    All of the information that would be coming in from AD is blank.  So that association between my office 365 email address and the AD user account is not being made.   Even though it says my name with
correct (username) on the incident as the affected user.  And even though my email address is stored inside of AD in the e-mail field.
What am I missing in this process?
    Thank you,
    Mark

I ended up messing around and added a UPN to AD Domains and Trusts matching the domain of our email accounts through Office 365.  I found this because similar preparation is required for AD sync to Office 365, so a proper match can be made.
So for example, if our internal domain is Contoso.Local, and our email addresses are [email protected]
I added a UPN for contosolimited.com in Active Directory Domains & Trusts.  Then I changed my UPN in Active Directory Users and Computers (Account tab), to @contosolimited.com.
Now when the AD Connector ran, it set my user CI UPN (in the Extensions tab) to [email protected]  I then sent an email to [email protected] and it matched my email correctly to my user CI created by the AD Connector.
Now I just have to run a script against AD to update all user UPNs to @contosolimited.com from @Contoso.local.

  • Exchange Connector - UM Voicemail e-mails

    Hi,
I'm trying to get the Exchange Connector in System Center Service Manager 2012 R2 to pickup our Voicemail e-mails from our support box and attach the mp3 as an attachment to the Incident.  But voicemails are being ignored by the connector.  I've
tried stripping out message header information that identifies it as voicemail and appending a disclaimer to the bottom of the e-mail all using exchange transport rules, but still no luck.
Is there some way of getting SCSM to log the voicemails as Incidents?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

This is an exchange issue, more then it is a Service Manager issue.
The service manager connector only reads the
IPM.Note Mapi message class, in order to avoid creating incidents for automatic replies or NDRs. unfortunately, voicemails are IPM.Note.Microsoft.Voicemail.UM.CA.
in order to create incidents from non-standard message types, you would need to
write a custom transport agent to change the message types in exchange, or write a powershell script
to change the message class so the connector will collect it.
I'm not 100% on this, but you might try creating a client side rule in the service manager mail box that forwards the message back to itself. messages forwarded in outlook are converted to IPM.Note, and a forwarding rule may (or may not) convert the message,
and may (or may not) keep the original sender.
