Exchange email sync of reply and forward tags

hi,
We are using Exchange 2007 and whenever we make replies or forwards on the iphone the tags are not updated back to the server to show that the email has been delt with when looking at it in outlook, i.e. the mail icon does not have the reply or forward arrow next to it. When connecting to exchange 2010 the tags appear to update without issue.
Any ideas?

Having the same problem.
When i answer from Outlook it is marked as Replied of Forwarded in Outlook only. This mark is not shown on the iPad or iPhone.

under the "view" menu open custimixze toolbar.  Then drag those from that list back up to your tool bar.

  • Email Signatures Missing From Reply and Forwarded Messages

Email signatures do not work for reply and forwarded emails. Signature work normally for emails I write.
I have 4 email accounts and 3 HTML signature identities. For each account I've enabled signatures for reply and forward in the Composition and Addressing menu option. I've tried restarting TB in safe mode by holding shift key. Nothing works. I cannot use signatures for any email accounts or identities for replies and forwards.
Help please. Something is broken. I have latest version of TB.

    Anybody can help?

  • New email, reply and forward icons are shaded how do I fix this please

I'm using Outlook on my Macbook Pro but the New Email, Reply and Forward icons are shaded and I can't use them.  How to fix this please?

You will need to change your primary email address. This link should help.

If you have the email you mistakenly used and the password, this will help.

  • Reply and Forwarding messages

I'm using the Passport and at work we use Lotus Notes for email.  I am using the Notes Traveler and it works fine until I reply or forward an email.  My reply or forward will go through but it doesn't include the body of the email I am replying to or forwarding.

You're not in a Windows environment. Sorry you've had to grind through a lot of pointless reinstallation and rebuilding and crap like that.
Google can usually help you avoid this kind of misguided effort, although it sometimes takes a while to find the right things to search for.
In most cases, it's worth opening Applications > Utilities > Console.app before reinstalling things. There you may find error messages that describe the problem in more technical detail, using words that might yield more relevant results in a search.
    For example:
In Console.app, select "All Messages", and then in the search box, type "Mail". You'll see a bunch of messages about a drag being canceled, which sounds like our problem. Then hit Google with the more descriptive words from the log message, such as "Canceling drag because exception DOMException". That turns up a small, but good set of results, including another thread on these very forums:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1558866&tstart=82
There, a user has spent some time studying the behavior of the problem in the spirit of trial-and-error troubleshooting, and has identified a relationship between this behavior, empty mail messages, and the "Include attachments at end of message" setting.
In this case, that turned out to be what was biting me as well.
    Good luck!

  • Mail reply and forwarding not working

After using Mail for three years, suddenly the reply and forwarding functions do not work. The replies and forwards are in the Sent mail but do not reach the recipients.
I spoke to Mac support about 10 days ago and we created a new acct. and imported the emails. Things worked for awhile, but the same problem has started again.
When I use my Comcast web mail the replies and forwards do work.
    No trouble receiving mail.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Reply and forward not working in full screen mail app

In the full screen version of the Mail application in Lion I can't reply or forward any messages.  I have to go back to the old view in order to respond to mail.  Is anyone else having this problem and if so, is there a fix?  The full screen apps and new mail program were a major reason I upgraded..

I regularly experience the same problem. It also occurs with Compose.
Sometimes Compose, Reply and Forward work fine in full screen mode. But frequently they don't, and I have to exit full screen mode to regain functionality. I have not been able to detect any pattern.

  • OS upgrade kills Exchange email sync and flattens battery

I did the upgrade to 10.0.10.90 on Saturday. Since then my Exchange email account stopped working, the device often feels warm, and the battery goes flat in a few hours (even without use).
I saw another problem KB33828 wonder if this is related. Vodafone can't/won't help.
Everything else still working, including 2 other non-Exchange email accounts.

    Hey peter_r_miles,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
That KB article would be related if your email account gets re-added every few minutes.  Since this is a new issue we will need to gather logs to find the root cause.  Please contact your network service provider and ask to be transferred to BlackBerry.
    Thank you.

  • Exchange Calendar sync loops, drains, and fails

It seems I have got the same problem as described here. The symptom is that the Exchange sync never seems to finish. The phone runs hot and probably uses a lot of network traffic. The problem is that the disable/enable of Calendar sync trick fails on my iPhone. It tries for a long time and then it times out. I can't even remove the accounts completely, that fails in the same way.
It's an iPhone 5S running iOS 7.0.5. I'm syncing three calendars. Two Exchange accounts from different servers and one Gmail.
This problem happened to me once before and then I ended up doing a Factory Reset. I'd rather not do that again.

    The preferences timeout:

I would love to find a solution to this! It could be to the root of the problem, how to force calendar sync off, how to force removal of email accounts, or to something that I've missed.
PS. I've asked the same question here. DS.

Not sure if this will help, I found it solved a slightly different problem.  the following is a re-post from a different thread.
I've had similar issues - although my email and contacts were syncing with Exchange without issue, in iOS7 I developed a one-way problem with calendar sync.
Appointments created on my iPhone were syncing fine to my Exchange server, and were then visible in outlook on my PC.
However items created in Outlook were not syncing to the iPhone.
I'm running iOS 7.1 on an iPhone 5; plus Outlook 10 on a Windows 8.1 machine connecting to Exchange on Small Business Server 2003.
    I found a solution here.
On the PC, go to your calendar and right-click the Calendar folder.  On the Permissions tab, change the default Permissions from "none" to "Reviewer".  Apply changes.
Then on the iPhone, remove and add back the calendar in Settings.
I have 3 separate calendars on my exchange server and had to do this for each one.  When I only did it for one calendar at first, this was the only one which appeared on the iPhone.  So, it seems to me that this was definitely the culprit.
Interesting that this problem only reared it's head since the iOS7 update.  Calendar was working just fine for me in iOS6.

  • Reply and forward icons not appearing in mail app when I respond/forward from Gmail

When I reply or forward an email within the iphone mail app, the arrow icons showing I replied or forwarded appear beside the email in my iphone mail app inbox.
When I reply or forward from gmail, these icons do not appear in my iphone mail app.  Does show that I have read and flagging/unflagging works.
    Any thoughts?

Close out of the mail app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
    Then check your mail again.

  • Growlmail may cause Exchange email sync to stall

I just was looking at another closed thread that mentioned that the problem with Exchange email on Snow Leopard Mail.app no longer downloading could be related to certain plugins or addons.
I would see the sync spinner turning but nothing happening and nothing would fix it including restarts of the computer and/or the application. Note that I did not want to delete my email account due to the obvious setup hassles and the worry that my smart mailboxes would be compromised.
I found that simply clicking disable on the GrowlMail 'enable' checkbox in Mail's preferences and then restarting Mail solved the problem immediately.
I am posting this here in case it would be of help to others. I have not tried re-enabling GrowlMail (v 1.2.1) yet.

I get this same problem.  When I delete the sharepoint messages it works again.  Anyone know a fix for this?

  • "Classic" Email - unable to "reply" or "forward"

Beginning around January 12th, I have been having a hard time "replying" or "forwarding" an email using the "Classic" email.  It takes FOREVER and often locks up my computer.  The message it gives (eventually) is  "a script is running" which will slow down my computer or make it unresponsive.  This is happening to both my home computer and laptop - each with a different software system.  I don't seem to have the problem using the "MyVerizon" email.  I do like using the classic email though.

    It's McAfee SiteAdvisor BHO!
This is an add-on to Explorer.  I disabled it, closed down Explorer, restarted explorer and email worked fine.
I then enabled it, restarted Explorer and email had the script problem again.
I tested it twice for good measure.  Please be sure to close down and reopen Explorer or the script
    problem will still occur.
    Using Google Chrome also works.
Maybe McAfee can look into this?

  • Exchange Email sync issues

I have my Microsoft Exchange email account setup on my IPhone 4S(5.1.1). My email account has several folders and rules to sort emails into those folders. Even though I have selected those folders in the "Folders to Push" setting, they don't show up in my normal mail app. I don't get an alert (by showing the number of email in that folder) either. If I browse those folders in the account on phone, the emails are there, so I can that the sync is working.
Is anyone else facing this issue?

I usually keep them at 1 week, but I had been working with the default of 3 days after setting up the accounts so many times.
Update: We tried setting up a different exchange account from our server onto my iPhone, and it worked.  I am convinced that it is an issue with my account, however that still doesn't solve my problem.  I would delete this thread since I no longer believe that I need apple support, but I can't figure out how!

  • Exchange email issues (remote search and deleted items folder)

I use an exchange account on my Q10 and there is two huge problems about it. - the remote search will find email that are at most 60 days old, anything older can't be found on the Q10. I have added the same exchange account to my iPad and iPhone 5 where I can search for several year old email. - the "deleted items" folder won't sync on the Q10. So whenever I delete an email on any device (including the Q10) it gets moved to deleted items. But the Q10 where the folder is empty because it does not sync. (Issue has been confirmed from several people on crackberry forums)

I'm currently experience the same situations with my Q10. It seems like doesn't sync the folder immediately even if you select the refresh option.yoomy wrote:
