Exchange IMAP Inbox and selected sub folders not displaying correctly

Hi All,
I hope you can help me with the following issue:
We are running MS Exchange 2003 with IMAP. Normally I connect from my Mac to the mail server (using IMAP), everything worked fine until two days ago. I began with a few messages not showing up in the inbox folder while I confirmed their existence via Outlook Web Access and Outlook running in my Virtual Machine. Following an advice I dig out in the forums (moving Mail folder and re-importing all messages) it got kind of worse, my inbox did not show up at all while OWA and Outlook still correctly display all messages. Same goes for a few of the user created folders, though most of them load correctly. I cannot identify any system why some folders display correct and others do not.
As far as I am aware I have followed all the advices in the forums (well, at least those I've found).
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have set up a new MacBook with the exact same details as I used on previous Pbk and on iMac 24 at work.
I can't receive/see anything in IMAP inbox on MacBook. I can send from the account ok.
I have set-up another white MacBook now and it has the very same issue. The only common difference is that the previous Pbk and the intel iMac operate 10.4 while the two MacBooks are on 10.5.6.
Is there a known issue with 10.5 and Mail/IMAP?

From looking at posts further back, I see that yes, there is a big ongoing problem with Mail and IMAP. But is there particularly an issue with 10.5?
BTW, POP works fine, using IMAP simply results in no incoming mail at all.

Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Back to Safari. Press Command + Option + E to empty the Safari cache.
Quit and relaunch Safari, try a video.

Firefox 33 HTML select elements do not display correctly

HTML form <select> elements do not display options correctly in Firefox 33.
For example:

should display a drop down with 5 elements (first one blank) but no elements at all are displayed.
The bounding box does not seem to be computed correctly so no options display.
I have observed this issue on multiple pages. These pages displayed correctly in older version of Firefox and they display correctly under IE. The problem occurs with no addons or additional themes installed. The problem does not occur in SafeMode so I suspect that it is theme related but the Default 33.0 theme is the only installed theme and it cannot be disabled outside of SafeMode. I tried installing and changing multiple themes without success. The problem persists after restarting Firefox and after rebooting the computer and even after uninstalling and re-installing Firefox.
I can supply a screen shot if needed.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

'Images' sub-folders not displaying

After doing some tweaking to my project, all of a sudden the
'Image' sub-folders that held all of my images have disappeared.
I had setup a custom 'Image' direcrtory structure matching
the structure defined for the HTML project files, each with a
sub-folder labelled 'Image'. It worked, basically, like this:
Images (main images folder in project)
> Reference > Images > (all images added to
'Reference' area of help)
When I check the folder structure in Windows Explorer, the
'Reference > Image' sub-folder is still present, and all images
are accounted for, but it just won't show up in the project...
I've tried re-adding the 'Reference' folder to the main
'Images' Project folder, but Robohelp tells me, predictably, that
there is already a folder named 'Reference' present...
I'm on Robohelp X5 and I have a copy of Robohelp 7 right in
front of me... I was trying to get everything cleaned up before
upgrading... Any help would be appreciated!
When I build the project, all images appear as normal... Any
idea why my sub-folders disappeared, and how I may get them to
display again?

Pdfs and word docs started not displaying correctly in browser. How do I fix this?

Until about a week ago, when I would open a pdf or word document in Firefox, it would open in a new Window and I could view it without download. Now, when I open a pdf, it shows some lines, but no text. I can only view the document if I then download the document, which will display correctly. Today, I tried to open a Word document from Firefox. A new window opened and it told me how many pages there was, but all of the pages are blank.
Is there a way to fix this? I like not having to download the documents unless I want to save them.
I'm using Firefox 37.0.1 on a computer running Windows 7 Enterprise, Service pack 1.

Ok. My computer ran updates last night and today it works. So, I'm good for now. If this happens to anyone else, I'm not sure how it was fixed besides the fact that my computer ran updates and restarted.

Sub Tabs not displaying correctly

We are having the following problem with a 10g install.
A page group has been created. A custom style for the page group has been associated with the page group.
The style has been edited - tab properties. Custom colors and fonts have been allocated to the active and inactive tabs.
At the top level (i.e. level one of the tabs) everything works as expected. The tabs are correctly using the custom colors and font styles for both active and inactive tabs.
The problem is with tabs below this top level (i.e. sub-tabs). The inactive tabs appear as they should. The active tab however is not using the correct font. The color however is correct. If I view page source I see that the tab in question is using <font class="SubTabBgTextid1siteidXX"> whereas the tabs that are working correctly use <font class="TabBackgroundTextid1siteidXX">.
I notice that the other tabs on the same sublevel use the correct <font class="TabForegroundTextid1siteidXX"> style.
So portal is using the class "SubTabBgTextid1siteidXX" whereas it should be using "TabBackgroundTextid1siteidXX".
Please advise on how to change the properties for "SubTabBgTextid1siteidXX" as we cannot find anywhere other than the tabs general properties when editing the page style.

This looks like a bug. I did some testing and found a potential issue with INACTIVE subtabs (specifically INACTIVE subtabs don't appear to pick up the Font Face and Font Style selections made as part of the style definition). For me, INACTIVE subtabs always seemed to render using a Arial, Helvetica Font Face and a bold Font Style (but seem to pick up the Font Size, Font Color, and Font Decoration settings). Is this what you are seeing?

I created a new button at the bottom of the region in a Hide and Show Region called [Next >]. The button is displayed to the right of the region. I want it displayed at the right end of the bottom of the region. The following is the button properties

I created a new button at the bottom of the region in a Hide and Show Region called [Next >]. The button is displayed to the right of the region.I only see it displayed to the right of the region in Firefox (Safari and IE8 showed it above the sub-regions). Not obvious to me why this is the case (it's usually IE that does it's own thing).
I want it displayed at the right end of the bottom of the region.Button position Bottom of Region causes an anonymous HTML table containing the button(s) to be generated after the <tt>#BODY#</tt> placeholder in the region template. Your Hide/Show region template didn't have a <tt>#SUB_REGIONS#</tt> placeholder so by default the sub-regions were rendered after the <tt>#BODY#</tt> and the "Bottom of Region" button container (don't know if this is the intended behaviour or a bug). Adding <tt>#SUB_REGIONS#</tt> before <tt>#BODY#</tt> in the template gets things in the right order (button after sub-regions):

I'm assuming that this has something to do with everything in this theme being floated left (for reasons that escape me), so we'll try to clear the button container using CSS. The table doesn't have an ID or class so try an adjacent sibling selector using the ID of the preceding sub-region:

}Finally, the button alignment was set to "Left", so I changed it to "Right".
Seems to be working in IE8 (all I have access to at present).

Fixed CSS selector syntax.

File Path and Name field does not display correct path

We are using Crystal 2008 along with VS 2005. We embed the special "File Path and Name" field inside our report and it displays the correct path when viewed inside Crystal reports:
C:\Program Files\reports\Chart.rpt
When run through the web and viewed in the DHTML viewer, the file name and path appear as follows:
C:\Windows\TEMP\Chart {02152A43-3339-4C03-A50A-E281E1D391AF}.rpt
How can this be corrected?

This is a known issue tracked under ADAPT0000962216. At this time I do not know when this will be resolved, however Service Pack 2 for CR 2008 is targeted to be released by September and this may contain the fix.

0 margins and 0 padding still not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer

Hi I have designed a page for my site that works perfectly in safari and firefox but of course in internet explorer it doesn't. The content under the slideshow is meant to line up with the edge of the slideshow. This is the linkhttp://www.kimberleywebdesign.com.au/Links.html.
The divs and the tags within them, have 0 margins and 0 padding with the exception of top and bottom padding, so even if internet explorer doubled my margins - double nothing is nothinng ?? I am trying to understand why the problem occurred?

My understanding is that IE misinterprets text-align:center in the #wrapper div.
Change:

to

margin: 0 auto;
text-align:center;}
Then add text-align: left to each div where the text needs to be left aligned
e.g.

and so on. Worked OK for me in IE8.

Add this tip, taken from the link above, for good measure:
"This gets IE up to scratch. However this is the step I always forget. In Mozilla, if you reduce the size of the browser window, half of your centred div hangs off the left of the page. This is an odd one, but I've been reliably informed that it's the correct behaviour. To prevent this, just set a min-width on the body tag."

Iweb and Safari 5: pages not displayed correctly

Hello. I am designing some pages that appeared just right in Safari 4, but now that I use Safari 5 they are all wrong (they do appear correctly in Firefox and Opera). Is anybody having the same problem?

Dynamic Select List not displaying correct value

Hi there!
I have a page with a dynamic repeat region.
As I press one record I get up all the details based on id on an edit page.
The problem is that the info that is inserted via a Select List is not displaying correct on edit page.
All the other values are correct, also the values in the repeat region on index page,
but the value from the Select List on edit page is just displaying the initially selected item.
Have tried using SELECT DISTINCT in the SQL statement, but no luck.
Any other ideas?

Ok, here goes the top down approach...
In the HTML header of my page, i have this reference to a js file containing the javascript - <script src="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#108.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Then in an HTML Region I have the following code to create the divs that will be shown and hidden - <div id="divREGION" class="divs">Select region to get list of countries.</div>
<div id="divCOUNTRY" class="divs">Select country to get list of cities.</div>
<div id="divCITY" class="divs">Select city and then press "Get Employees". </div>
Note that these divs contain static content. You may be able to create dynamic content for these divs by creating dynamic query regions and putting div tags around the region (i havent tried this, it may require template modification).
The select boxes have this code in the "HTML form elements attributes" - onFocus="javascript:showHideDiv(this,true)" onBlur="javascript:showHideDiv(this,false)"
This onFocus and onBlur call the showHideDiv() function, passing in the object reference of the select box and a true/false to show/hide the related div.
The actual javascript function that is contained in the 108.js file is:

Permissions are not displaying correctly on Yosemite server

My file and folder permissions are not displaying correctly on my Yosemite server when viewed from a Yosemite client.
I have set these permissions from the server app on the server and have added local network groups for the appropriate folders on the share. When checked from the server's finder, everything looks correct. The server is setup for both AFP and SMB on file sharing. I have also tried setting permissions from the server's finder and seemed to make no difference.
When logged into from local or VPN Yosemite clients using AFP, the permissions do not show anything but postgres user and everyone group. Even though they should have network groups such as skoogfinancial, skoogmarketing, etc.
The server does seem to enforce the permissions correctly though a user cannot get into folders he does not have permissions for.
Therefore, it seems the server is enforcing correctly, but a user may not understand what is going on as the permissions list doesn't list anything meaningful.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Webpages do not display correctly, but do when i uninstall certain add-ons

i had the firefox add-ons of shaved beiber and adblocker plus. one day, websites such as blaghag, 100boatsin100days, halolz, and other websites using the design of blog posts or main text with extra links alongside, or websites such as equinox kayaks, with a black background and white text, would not display correctly.
i had to uninstall BOTH addons to make the sites display correctly.

Looking for script to find files with same names with in a folder and it sub folders.

Are you just looking to find if any two files underneath a folder have the same name?
If you just want to know that a file named "whatever" exists in two folders, that's not too difficult, but you probably want to know the full path names.
Here's one attempt:
$ perl -MFile::Find -le 'find(\&w, "."); while (($n,$p)=each %file) {if(@{$p}>1){print join(" ",@{$p})}} sub w{push @{$file{$_}},$File::Find::name;}'That will print the pathnames on the same line of any files with the same name that appear anywhere underneath your current directory.
It's a bit long for a "one-liner", but functional.
