I've an iPad of 3rd generation, i've not open the box it is still closed, i would sell it for buy an iPad 4th generation, can i return it to apple and have in exchange (adding money) an iPad 4?

I bought my ipad 3 from US on 4th oct and fly to India on 6th oct 2012. Recently I came to know that apple has introduce ipad4 in late nov i.e 1 month back. Since I was not following apple closely I came to know it now. I am not happy with apple. I head that Apple is exchanging ipad3 with ipad4 if bought 30 days back, but since I bought it from US What can I do?

The thirty day return period was never officially acknowledged. Some stores allegedly accepted returns beyond Apple's specified fourteen day return period, some did not. In any event there is no trade-in program, so you would be better off selling your iPad on your own.

You could determine a trade-in value for your iPad with that service, but you will receive much less than you can probably get by selling it yourself.

Exchange iPad3/iPad4 for an extra charge/fee @ an Apple store possible?

I have an iPad3. It's approx. 6 months 'young' and I would like 2 get the iPad4. Is ist possible, for an extra charge/fee of course, to exchange it @ an Apple store? I've heard a rumor that this was possible with previous models. And I don't mean the exchange for people who just ressently bought the 3rd Gen. pad!!!

Unable to connect to MS Exchange server on ipad4 after upgrade to iOS 7.1.2

I received a new iPad 4 through work. Upgraded to iOS 7.1.2, but now I'm not able to connect to the Exchange server. Contacted IT through work, they have no idea how to correct it. They say all of my settings are fine. The error message says "Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed." Any thoughts?

It may help to remove and readd the account on your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the affected email account.
Tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.

AIR Simulator Controller wont display all of the stage when the app has a resolution for a retina i

We are working on an iPad mobile app. When we test it as just a swf in Flash Pro, we can go to View -> Magnification -> Show All and all of the content is scaled down and displayed. But when testing in the Simulator Controller we can not do this and so we can not preview all of the content and test all of the UI. What is the best way to test gestures for retina displays?

The answer is likely to be fast packaging USB testing on the iPad itself. The simulator is the 'perfect' environment. Testing on a real device will show you gestures feel a little different as well as the real speed their events fire at. This changes a bit iPad3 to iPad4 as well and with double the performance speculated on the iPad5 with the A7 chip you can bet that will change yet again.
Otherwise, for testing, you could 'stub' your app if you make no references to 'root'. set the stub stage to the largest size your monitor will allow you to test on. Load in your apps real SWF and set the size however small you need it.
Otherwise the obvious of course, get a bigger monitor

IPad like freezing or slow after mirroring with AppleTV

We have an issue with iPad mirroring, some time with some iPad’s (ipad3 or ipad4 with ios 7) while mirroringiPad gets dead slow (freezes), mirrored screen shows black, no content on the projector screen. If we turn off mirroring, ipad becomes normal, but for mirroring to work only option is to reboot (meantime other ipads are OK in mirroring to the same AppleTV). we use wlan .11n. Any advice.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

There is no list. You'll need to contact the store and tell them that you understand that some Apple stores are allowing 30 day exchanges for the iPad4. Only they can tell you if their particular store is one of them.

IPad3 Exchange

Just got my finance's birthday present of an iPad3 delivered today (oh the timing - thanks Apple!). Ordered from an Apple reseller, but reseller not willing to refund or swap for the iPad4. Spoke to Apple support who didn't seem to care and kept pointing me to the reseller; is there anything I can do?

Any request to return goods to ****** will be subject to our standard trading terms and returns policies which can be found here.
Really I think it is up to Apple to make an official announcement; I'm still only hearing rumours about this one store in San Francisco that has offered this deal and not whether it is official policy yet.

Your issue is the most FAQ in the forums, it is an ongoing problem with Tiger waiting to be fixed by Apple. Till then, forget your aliases and use either Command-K or from the Finder Go-->Connect to Server and enter the remote Mac's IP address to connect.
Also, Open Utilities-->Terminal and type lookupd -flushcache (Press Return) and reboot. Do this for both macs.

They are free to iOS 7 users who have activated their NEW device on Sept 1 2013 or after. They are NOT automatically free with iOS 7.
AirDrop is only compatible with iPad 4th gen and iPad mini. iPad 3rd gen and below do contain the necessary hardware for AirDrop. Also, AirDrop is only compatible between iOS devices. You cannot AirDrop between iOS device and Mac OS.

Why is there no exchange program for people who bought ipad2 before the release date of ipad3

I sold my iPad 64g 3g on 12 December 11 so I could buy and iPad 2 64g 3G iPad2 on Xmas then three months later ipad3 comes out I have been I contact with apple support and they tell me to sell it on the returns program they would offer me £300 for it I payed £700 with three years cover plan.
I would have been happy to wait three months if I was notified that there was an iPad 3 release date but nothing came out .
So I ask apple and you why is there no exchange program in place for new owners of iPad 2 to be able to exchange for iPad 3 this is good business for the support we give apple in buying they're products time after time

Apple, as a rule, does not announce hardware products far in advance of actual ordering availability.
More importantly, the Terms of Service for users Apple Support Communities does not permit such speculation here.
There were rumors and speculation about capabilities of the 'iPad 3' published online within hours of the release of the iPad 2 one year ago. If you want to 'keep up' with the rumors, I suggest taking few moments every month to visit websites like The Unofficial Apple Weblog (tuaw.com), and The Apple Insider (appleinsider.com), among others. You'll find a wealth of information about current products as well as plenty of rampant speculation about future products and projected release dates there.
Regarding 'trade-in' or 'trade-up', Apple has built their organization to manufacture and market new devices, media, and software. As you discovered with your original iPad, the best solution may be to sell your current device privately and buy a new one if you have a compelling need to upgrade to the latest model.
And, try as I might, I've never convinced my local car dealer to take my 3-month-old vehicle with 3,000 miles in equal trade for the shiny new model that was just introduced. But honestly, I'm buying run-of-the-mill 'daily transportation', not collectible automotive-works-of-art that will appreciate in value over time.

Exchange email stopped working on iphone 4s and iPad3

Exchange email just stopped working on both iPad3 and iPhone 4s for no apparent reason. My PC is windows7 and using office 365 and receiving email OK. Suddenly both my Apple devices are saying "user name or password for Exchange is incorrect". Any ideas?? I am still on iOS5.1.1 and not 6. Appreciate your help in advance.

It sounds like you have either a locked out account or your password expired. Please reset your password then go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Click on the account with the issue and re-enter your new password.
This should resolve your issues.

Now I have to point out that going ballistic has certain connotations but posting on an internet forum is not one of them.
I appear to be one of thousands who are all expressing their outrage in a rational and intelligent manner which cannot be said for your lebvel 4 + collegues on this forum.
Finally there has been an ongoing issue wiith the iPad 3 Wifi on certain wifi only models , I have not encountered it and it seems clear neither have you. That of course does not discount the fact that many others have experienced this issue , an issue which may reveal itself to you or I in the future particularly as I have only been using mine for a fortnight.
