Exchange Panel update not seen

I posted this in the Exchange forum, but thought I would also ask it here.
Trying to use Exchange to install a free extension. The Exchange panels in InDesign & Photoshop shows that an update is required.  If I click on the update button from the panel I get taken to Adobe Application Manager (have a creative suite 6 education subscription). I had installed the latest version of Exchange from the Exchange page and it seemed to install fine. However, as Exchange does not appear in the Applicaiton Manager window, Phtoshop and InDesign seem to think the update never occurred. Any suggestions on how to get ID and PSD to see the Exchange update that was done?

Hi Posterns-designs,
I was able to replicate what you describe but I don't have an answer. Since Exchange is still in preview posting on the forum on Adobe labs is the best bet.

  • Adobe Exchange Panel Update not working?

    Hello:
    My OS is Windows 7 64 bit and I have Ps and Ia installed on my laptop.
    I downloaded and installed the Adobe Exchange roughly two months ago and everything worked great at first.
    I installed a few things such as the Paper Textures and a game Level Up (can't recall the others at the moment).
    The game worked three times but then it just stopped responding. I never had an issue with the other extensions.
    Yesterday I went to try out the game again but when i opened the Exchange panel it said there was a new update and so i (sadly) opted to click 'Update'
    After clicking the update button I received a message:
    Also, Norton said the link or what have ya was NOT trusted and is Unknown. So, I clicked on the Norton message and got this info:
    Heuristic virus? um, what?
    http://www.pctools.com/security-news/heuristic-virus-definition/
    I went ahead and Removed all the extensions I had downloaded/installed from the Exchange panel but I would very much like to be able to use them again.
    Any ideas as to the issue? Is there a solution?
    I have shut off Norton to see if that would work but I still get the above message  "... valid signature ... "
    Sure would appreciate some input.
    Thank you in advance
    ps. could the Heuristic virus detection be a False Positive?

    Hello:
     You are totally misunderstanding me. I have Windows 7 64 bit and I did have the Exchange Panel already installed. When I went to use the Exchange PanelIT had an update. I didNOT update to Windows 8.
    I clicked on the UPDATE IN the Exchange Panel which is what would NOT install because NORTON said it IS MALWARE.
    I tried to update the Exchange Panel and NOT my operating system.
    The attempt to Update the Exchange Panel caused the older version of the Exchange Panel to not work. So, I had to Uninstall the Exchange Panel and then when I went to Reinstall the Exchange Panel it would NOT install. And now I cannot use it at all.
    Again, I DO have Windows 7 and NOT Windows 8.
    Please, I would very much like to be able to use the Exchange Panel again because I would like to install some extensions, let me know when this issue is resolved.
    Thank You,

  • Help please. CS6 exchange panel will not load.

    Hi,
    I have Photoshop CS6 extended and for some reason my adobe exchange panel will not load. This only happened earlier today.  I have been designing all week and never had a problem before this. I cannot load any of the panels in Photoshop.  I have done everything possible and trust me I worked on a solution for over 5.5 hours searching reading, uninstalling re installing etc and no solution. I just keep getting this error message "Cannot complete command because the extension could not be loaded".
    The version of Extension Manager is 6.0.7.6. I came back to edit this as I should have mentioned that I did disable my anti virus.
    I would really appreciate any advice please.
    Thank you in advance
    Rosa
    I have since discovered that the problem was the software onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8  which I had installed earlier today - so have contacted onOne for support. I ended up un-installing the program and Photoshop has returned back to normal.

    Obviously my problem was with the onOne new Suite 8 plugin. I had Suite 7.5 as well as PhotoFrame 4.6 Professional Edition and Photo Tools installed, so after trying a few different things my last option which worked was as onOne suggested and that was removing the onOne panel completely from CS6 and re installing Suite 8 ticking the 3rd option in the installation process - leaving PhotoFrame and Photo Tools installed.  I do have many panels in CS6 and to my delight after the installation of Suite 8, all the panels in my CS6 were operational and ready to go!
    Obviously there was a clash with the Suite 7.5 and 8. Removing Suite 7 worked for me. Initially onOne advised not to uninstall the previous version and just tick the first option to keep both versions. Obviously there was a clash between the version panels.
    Hope this helps.

  • [Bug?] Defer Panel Update not working when changing scale property

    Hi,
    I found that Defer Panel Update [when True] does not work properly when changing the scale fit property of an intensity graph.
    Try the VI.
    When Defer Panel Update is True, and you change the Numeric controls, the Intensity graph is not updated (as expected).
    But now change the "Z Scale.Scale Fit" button and.... the Intensity graph is updated (only the Z-color, not the axis).
    This looks to be a bug to me!

  • Adobe exchange panel does not load in cc applications

    I cannot launch the Adobe Exchange Panel in Photoshop or Illustrator.  The option to launch this extension is not available in my menu.  In Photoshop "Extensions is grayed out".  In Illustrator it is not grayed out but it is simply not populated.  I have tested this on my laptop and it works just fine there.
    I have pasted the above paragraph from a separate thread in a different forum.  I was directed to this forum by an adobe staff member.
    Thanks in advance for any help with this as the forums are the only support adobe provides for this issue.  I think the issue may be a corruption in my extension manager somewhere in the Windows Registry.  Using Windows 7 64-bit SP1

    Hi markerline,
    Can I ask where you obtained Photoshop CC from? Were you part of any prerelease program?
    Can you please check these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions
    and tell us if either one (or both) contains a folder called "AdobeExchange", and whether it contains anything.
    It seems obvious, but please install any updates for Photoshop available in the Creative Cloud application. I believe there have been a few CC updates released so far - so it would be worthwhile restarting your computer to force a fresh check for updates to make sure you have them all.
    Something to try would be downloading the Exchange Panel as a ZXP from here:
    https://www.adobeexchange.com/
    and then installing the panel using Extension Manager CC. Note that Extension Manager CS6 will not install the Exchange Panel for CC applications - it needs to be Extension Manager CC.
    Let us know how you get on.
    Thanks,
    Fraser

  • Exchange panel update hangs

    Hi all
    On Windows 7, I noticed an extension I use wasnt there anymore (EAN13 generator).
    So I open the exchange panel, it asks me to update, and it just hangs. "Install in progress", for hours.
    Is there anything I can do about it ?
    I rebooted, updated everything in the CC app, to no avail.
    Thanx for your help

  • Defer Panel Updates not working for XY graph

    I am using an XY Graph in Labview 8.2.  I am making a lot of color changes and want to improve execution time by defering the panel updates while changing the colors.  I set the VI/Panel/DeferPanelUpdates to true and do the updates.  I can see the other controls on the panel are deferred, but the XY graph continues to redraw.  I can't see a way to defer the updates separately to the XY Graph.
    I am only doing the defers for the color changes, if I defer the initial data input the color changes throw an error,

    How about this for a work-around?
    After defering the FP update, set the graph invisable then set the plot colors.
    Prior to undefering, set the graph visable.
    This works for me. Does it help your application?

  • Exchange panel could not login when installing extensions

    Hello,
    I've installed Exchange Panel and run it in PS CS6/64. When I want to install an extension, the panel shows only, that it is login in, but no farther action takes place. I've deleted opm.db. Then a login panel appeared and I loged in. But again the exchange panel only showed, that it was loggin in - for several minutes untill I closed it.
    On my laptop (ps cs6/32) everything works. Both machines run with win7. Could you help me?
    With best regards, Moritz

    Hi Moritz,
    To determine what is going wrong, can you provide me with the information outlined in my response (reply 1) in the following forum post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5823593#5823593#
    Additionally, as the login process relies on a series of events, can you set up logging to capture the events sent by:
    1) Edit as an Administrator C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CS6ServiceManager\configuration\StartupOptions.xml
    2) Increase the log level to 6:
    <vcentry key="loglevel">
      <vcint>6</vcint>
    </vcentry>
    3) Save the file
    4) Open Task Manager and kill the process CS6ServiceManager
    5) Repeat the steps above to reproduce logging failing
    6) Gather the log file from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CS7ServiceManager\logs\
    7) Send the log files to me at lesavage at adobe dot com
    Thanks,

  • Exchange Product Update Not Available

    I purchased PHP Ajax Datagrid (Version 1.4.9) through Adobe Exchange several days ago and it does not work with DW CC. I contacted the developer and he said that I need to update to version 1.4.10 to correct the problem.
    Version 1.4.10 is showing as available on Exchange but it will not update my older version.
    The developer will not correct the issue and has told me I have to update through Exchange.
    If Exchange will not allow me to update how do I get a refund for a product that will not work with DW CC.
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
    Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing? My assumption is that you are seeing PHP Ajax Datagrid 1.4.9 listed in your My Stuff section but it is not giving you the option to update - is that correct?
    If yes then please search under the All section for PHP Ajax Datagrid. Complete the steps to purchase the extension however it should prompt you that you have already purchased the item. Click OK and it should start to download and install version 1.4.10.
    Please send an email to fgregor at adobe dot com if this does not resolve the issue.
    Thanks,
    Lea

  • New Exchange panel will not install

    I came looking for a specific pattern. Nope, you have to download a panel. I downloaded it, clicked on it and a tiny panel with miniscule writing came up, gray on gray. I had to use a magnifying glass to read the text. "Exchange cannot instll" because a huge list of products might be needed and weren't there. But they were, Further, the panel had to be killed by Ctrl-Alt-Del.
    This seems to be the Adobe Way. Throw away your users, commit to some insecure Cloud that at least half our clients will not accept and then lose all their data. The web site is chaotic, unbelievably slow and utterly impenetrable. I truly despair. This used to be a good company.

    Well, what I have done since the problem emerged is the following. I found that the Extension Manager was CS5 - I didn't even know that I had it, so presumably it installed with CS5. So why not CS6? Nevr mind, let's download CS6. Around 110 megabytes later, I had a .zip file. This unbundled into two directories, one containing all manner of subdirectory, the other a file called "setup.exe".
    Very well, click the setup.exe. Up comes a panel, setup unable to run, download yet another utility, the "Adobe Support Advisor". Nine point something megabytes later, yet another file to hand. Click to run, scrunch: Windows throws a Message that "Air application manager has died" or some such, and ditches the process.
    So:
    1: The basic download manager does not work on a very straightforward, very much up to date Win7pro setup.
    2: The manager-of-the-manager doesn't work either.
    3: Their diagnose-the-manager-of-the-manager does not work either. (I tried this on two other Win7 machines and it doesn't work on them.)
    So, find patterns on the web. Plan to replace all Adobe products.
    This is pre-Beta stuff, outrageous in a commercial application. I have wasted a Sunday trying to get this rectified for the week ahead. Really, Adobe used to feel like a Rolls Royce company: expensive, but everything worked. Now it has that "rushing after its own tail" feel of so many US IT companies, all facade and piss on the customer.

  • Ipod mini won't update, not seen by itunes

    hi. my kid bought a mini. at first it worked ok. but then we could not transfer previously purchased songs from itunes. they'd copy over ok, but when we started the first song on the list, the ipod just cycled through the list without playing. then itunes stopped recognizing the ipod. altho i found that if i opened and closed itunes several times, it would eventually recognize. i tried the updater, but with the ipod plugged into the usb hub as required, the update button on the updater is grayed out. help, obviously. specs: 500 MHz imac power pc G3 w/128 MB SDRAM, OS X 10.3.5, mini is version 1.3 (can't update, remember), itunes is v4.9. any help gratefully accepted.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    Did you also download the latest updater?

  • Set Case-Milestone duration in java: update not seen in workspace

    Hi
    I created the following method to set the duration of a phase's end-milestone based on the start milestone being attained:
        public static void setFaseDeadline(Connector connector, CaseIdentifier caseIdentifier, String phaseStartMilestoneName, String phaseEndMilestoneName) throws CaseServiceException {
            CaseMilestone startMilestone = getCaseMileStone(connector, caseIdentifier, phaseStartMilestoneName);
            if (startMilestone != null) {
                pl("State startMilestone: " + startMilestone.getState());
                CaseMilestone endMilestone = getCaseMileStone(connector, caseIdentifier, phaseEndMilestoneName);
                pl("State endMilestone: " + endMilestone.getState());
                if ("ATTAINED".equals(startMilestone.getState()) &&
                    "NOT_ATTAINED".equals(endMilestone.getState())) {
                    Calendar deadLine = startMilestone.getUpdatedDate();
                    pl("Start Milestone updated: " + formatCalendar(deadLine));
                    deadLine.add(Calendar.MINUTE, 5);
                    endMilestone.setDeadline(deadLine);
                    pl("End Milestone Deadline: " + formatCalendar(endMilestone.getDeadline()));
                    pl("End Milestone Deadline Duration: " + endMilestone.getDeadlineDuration());
    It seems to work fine, duration gets set, however in the workspace I don't see that the milestone is updated.
    The milestones are fetched by
            ICaseService caseService = getCaseService();
            List caseMilestoneList = caseService.getCaseMileStones(context, caseIdentifier);
    This is because the getMilestones method from the case does not deliver me any milestone.
    It seems that this gets me a copy of the milestones instead of the actual milestones
    Anyone an idea how to set the actual duration?
    Thanks in advance.

    In code above you see that I print the duration after that I set it.
    I created an example class that lists all the milestones:
            List caseMilestoneList = connector.getListOfCaseMilestones(caseIdentifier);
            pl("Case Milestone List size = " + caseMilestoneList.size());
            for (CaseMilestone caseMilestone : caseMilestoneList) {
                pl("Case Milestone Name: " + caseMilestone.getObjectName());
                pl("Case Milestone DisplayName: " + caseMilestone.getObjectDisplayName());
                pl("Case Milestone State: " + caseMilestone.getState());
                pl("Case Milestone Deadline: " + caseMilestone.getDeadline());
                pl("Case Milestone Deadline Duration: " + caseMilestone.getDeadlineDuration());
    This shows that the changed caseMilestone does not get saved to the case. Does anyone know how to save this change to the actual case?
    Oh, by the way, I'm using BPM 12c (12.1.3)

  • Adobe Exchange Panel will not install

    The Adobe Application Manager asks me to install the program, but then the download progress bar gets to about 5% then switches to"Retrying.."  and repeats the cycle.

    DonJuanRil, If you have any currently running, AntiVirus, Firewall, Cloud Agents (Google Drive, Dropbox) please  Exit it out and Retry.
    If that does not help either, Reboot into CleanBoot Situation with Networking ON and then Try again.

  • Where did Adobe Exchange panel go...On photoshop cc2014/64

    I cant find adobe exchange panel...is it not possible...on cc2014  and x64

    The Adobe Exchange panel does not support the CC2014 release of apps because it is a panel created using Flash as opposed to HTML5, and CC 2014 apps only support HTML5 panels.
    We have not rushed to release an HTML5 version of the Adobe Exchange panel because we are expecting users to use the new Add-ons website (creative.adobe.com/addons) to obtain addons instead of the panel now.
    There are no definitive plans in place to create a CC 2014 compatible panel.
    Hope this helps.
