Exchange panel won't update
Launching Exchange Panel in either Illustrator or InDesign (CC 2014) shows in it telling me to update. Clicking Yes results in the file being downloaded (somewhere) and the installation process starting. And never finishing. The Install wheel will spin forever: Close the panel and open it again--still spinning.
Is there a solution to this?
Thanks.
Mark
Same issue today.
I tried both from ID and Illustrator CC 2014 (thinking THAT would make a difference) and the wheels just spin and spin but nothing else ...
"Latest enhancements and Bug Fixes" reads the text in the palette window. Adobe Labs created a Frankenstein but forgot to attach legs to the thing.
This is not a recent problem, however, or just with this update but an old bug that by now should have been more than fixed.
Latest news: As I started typing this, I had Illustrator trying (again) to update Exchange and it just crashed.

Adobe Exchange panel not installing update
I am on OS X 10.8.5 trying to get Illustrator CC 2014 to update its Exchange panel.
I have been trying to get it to update for the past hour and it downloads through Illustrator just fine, but it won't finish installing. I currently have Extension Manager CC 7.1.0.113 and I can see the extension I need to use in there, but since I can't get the Exchange panel to update, I cannot use it. My file is an 80 layer AI file that needs to be split into 80 separate files, and I really don't want to have to do it manually, thats why I have an extension to do it. I just need a damn fix on this so I can get back to work without going crazy. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.I am having the same issue.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit OS. After downloading the Exchange Panel file I try to unpack it. However, it will not do so. It says I do not have the appropriate program on my computer to do so. Please help.
---Steve---Hi Steve,
Which products( such as Dreamweaver, Phostoshop, ... ) were installed on your machine? What are their version number? Did you see any product was listed on the left panel in Extension Manager's GUI? One thing you should know is, Extension Manger CS6 only manages CS6 products( such as Dreamweaver 12, Photoshop13, ... ). It cannot manage CS5.5 products( such as Dreamweaver 11.5, Photoshop 12.1, ... ) or CS5 products.

InDesign CS6 won't install/update Adobe Exchange panel
After installing and updating exchange manager 6.0.2.40 when I go to indesign exchange panel it says update is available, click that, it downloads and says update successful, restart indesign to take effect. When it installs it switches to extension manager and says update conflicts with other version install yes or no? Click yes, says succesfull and restart indesign, I restart indesign and same thing happens again and again.
Photoshop and illustrator (CS6) panels work just fine. It's indesign that doesnt work.
Mac OS 10.7
Tried updating, reinstalling exchange manager, adobe application manager is 6.2.112.0,
tried several times on indesign and it just keeps going through the same update/restart loop.Hi SpooCobraVenom,
You can try to uninstall "exchange panel", and download and install it again from https://www.adobeexchange.com/api/AdobeExchange.zxp. -
Adobe Exchange Panel Update not working?
Hello:
My OS is Windows 7 64 bit and I have Ps and Ia installed on my laptop.
I downloaded and installed the Adobe Exchange roughly two months ago and everything worked great at first.
I installed a few things such as the Paper Textures and a game Level Up (can't recall the others at the moment).
The game worked three times but then it just stopped responding. I never had an issue with the other extensions.
Yesterday I went to try out the game again but when i opened the Exchange panel it said there was a new update and so i (sadly) opted to click 'Update'
After clicking the update button I received a message:
Also, Norton said the link or what have ya was NOT trusted and is Unknown. So, I clicked on the Norton message and got this info:
Heuristic virus? um, what?
http://www.pctools.com/security-news/heuristic-virus-definition/
I went ahead and Removed all the extensions I had downloaded/installed from the Exchange panel but I would very much like to be able to use them again.
Any ideas as to the issue? Is there a solution?
I have shut off Norton to see if that would work but I still get the above message "... valid signature ... "
Sure would appreciate some input.
Thank you in advance
ps. could the Heuristic virus detection be a False Positive?Hello:
You are totally misunderstanding me. I have Windows 7 64 bit and I did have the Exchange Panel already installed. When I went to use the Exchange PanelIT had an update. I didNOT update to Windows 8.
I clicked on the UPDATE IN the Exchange Panel which is what would NOT install because NORTON said it IS MALWARE.
I tried to update the Exchange Panel and NOT my operating system.
The attempt to Update the Exchange Panel caused the older version of the Exchange Panel to not work. So, I had to Uninstall the Exchange Panel and then when I went to Reinstall the Exchange Panel it would NOT install. And now I cannot use it at all.
Again, I DO have Windows 7 and NOT Windows 8.
Please, I would very much like to be able to use the Exchange Panel again because I would like to install some extensions, let me know when this issue is resolved.
Thank You,
Kara A. Rowe

Exchange unread count won't update for mailbox with 1000+ unread messages
Hi - I'm having an issue with mail on the iPhone and iPad where my Exchange inbox won't update after downloading a 1000+ new messages on Saturday. I marked them as read and moved them to another mailbox on my Mac but they're stuck in the inbox on my iPhone even after restarting phone and deleting account and re-adding it. I am able to download new messages and they are updated properly.
Things updated after I switched from check manually to check every 15 minutes. Weird.

Adobe Exchange Panel for Photoshop CC 2014
I'm trying to get the Adobe Exchange Panel for Photoshop CC 2014 (Mac 10.10.2).
When searching for it on Adobe.com, all I get is the download for CS6. Is this the SAME Exchange Panel usable in CC 2014?
Thanks for any guidance.I'm having problems searching out any updates. It's like they silently retired it after CC.
This is the last mention of it:
Adobe Exchange Panel – 1.1 Update for CC apps now available
Since it's a flash panel, it wouldn't work in CC 2014 which has gone to HTML5 panels

If you can contact Jeffrey Tranberry, I'm sure he can better answer this.

Virus alert and problems with Adobe Exchange Panel latest update
Hello,
just to let you know I downloaded the must recent update to Adobe Exchange Panel and had 2 issues:
Norton Internet security blocks the installation reporting there are high security risks in several .dll files, it won't let me install them.
If I shut down my antivirus the installation works fine, but the panel is blank when opened; it just doesn't work.
According to my antivirus, the "threat" is called "Suspicious.Cloud.7.F" and it finds it in all these files that are installed with the new panel:
poconetssl.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F) c:\program files (x86)\common files\adobe\cs6servicemanager\extensions\adobeexchange\assets\exmanwin32\poconetssl.dll
pocodata.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F) c:\program files (x86)\common files\adobe\cs6servicemanager\extensions\adobeexchange\assets\exmanwin32\pocodata.dll
pococrypto.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)c:\program files (x86)\common files\adobe\cs6servicemanager\extensions\adobeexchange\assets\exmanwin32\pococrypto.dll
pocozip.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)...
pocoxml.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)...
pocoutil.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)...
poconetssl.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)...
pocodata.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)...
pococrypto.dll (Suspicious.Cloud.7.F)...
I'm assuming this a false positive. Anyway, I can not use the panel at all. Hope someone can help. There were a couple of links in the right column that mentioned virus problems. After reading a bit, I solved my problem.
Go to Norton, select SETTINGS, then select COMPUTER SCAN, then set HEURISTIC PROTECTION to OFF. (It will still stay green.)
I then tried to re-install the Adobe Exchange Panel and everything is now working fine. -
Unable to launch File sync and to update Adobe Exchange panel in Illustrator CC 2014
I suppose that these two problems might be related, as I need the file sync to sync the extensions?
Anyway, I’m unable to launch a file sync, and when I update the Adobe Exchange panel in Illustrator, it asks for a reboot, and after the reboot, it asks again for an update…
Thanks for the help!I've since received information of a workaround - listed in a different thread: Unable to install non-standard updates - Cannot launch/update Adobe Digital Publishing for InDesign CC 2014
Try the following to enable updates:
1) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0 and you will find a .dat file ( AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat).
2) Please open the file in question and you will find a line item : <Suppressed>1</Suppressed> .
3) Please change the Value from 1 to 0 and save the file back in the same location.
On a Mac, essentially the same, however location: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
I was given further advice that DPS toolkit updates are not available when you create the deployment package from Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition on Mac OS. (I believe this may be the same using Creative Cloud Packager as you've found)
Deployment DPS Toolkit Update| AAMEE |Mac OS
The above article suggests that you can download and install the DPS update silently, however, an end user must be logged into computer - not really feasible for enterprise environments.
So I guess the process for this would be:
1)Copy the contents of the DPS update package to remote machine
2)Enable updates by modifying the AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat file
3)Remotely launch the DPS update silently (when someone is logged onto machine)
4)Disable updates again when complete... -
Exchange Panel update not seen
I posted this in the Exchange forum, but thought I would also ask it here.
Trying to use Exchange to install a free extension. The Exchange panels in InDesign & Photoshop shows that an update is required. If I click on the update button from the panel I get taken to Adobe Application Manager (have a creative suite 6 education subscription). I had installed the latest version of Exchange from the Exchange page and it seemed to install fine. However, as Exchange does not appear in the Applicaiton Manager window, Phtoshop and InDesign seem to think the update never occurred. Any suggestions on how to get ID and PSD to see the Exchange update that was done?Hi Posterns-designs,
I was able to replicate what you describe but I don't have an answer. Since Exchange is still in preview posting on the forum on Adobe labs is the best bet.

Hi all
On Windows 7, I noticed an extension I use wasnt there anymore (EAN13 generator).
So I open the exchange panel, it asks me to update, and it just hangs. "Install in progress", for hours.
Is there anything I can do about it ?
I rebooted, updated everything in the CC app, to no avail.
Thanx for your helpHi Posterns-designs,
I was able to replicate what you describe but I don't have an answer. Since Exchange is still in preview posting on the forum on Adobe labs is the best bet.

Adobe exchange panel does not load in cc applications
I cannot launch the Adobe Exchange Panel in Photoshop or Illustrator. The option to launch this extension is not available in my menu. In Photoshop "Extensions is grayed out". In Illustrator it is not grayed out but it is simply not populated. I have tested this on my laptop and it works just fine there.
I have pasted the above paragraph from a separate thread in a different forum. I was directed to this forum by an adobe staff member.
Thanks in advance for any help with this as the forums are the only support adobe provides for this issue. I think the issue may be a corruption in my extension manager somewhere in the Windows Registry. Using Windows 7 64-bit SP1Hi markerline,
Can I ask where you obtained Photoshop CC from? Were you part of any prerelease program?
Can you please check these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions
and tell us if either one (or both) contains a folder called "AdobeExchange", and whether it contains anything.
It seems obvious, but please install any updates for Photoshop available in the Creative Cloud application. I believe there have been a few CC updates released so far - so it would be worthwhile restarting your computer to force a fresh check for updates to make sure you have them all.
Something to try would be downloading the Exchange Panel as a ZXP from here:
https://www.adobeexchange.com/
and then installing the panel using Extension Manager CC. Note that Extension Manager CS6 will not install the Exchange Panel for CC applications - it needs to be Extension Manager CC.
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks,

Adobe Exchange Panel Extension does not install
As titled, after download the extension for CS6 and double click, the extension manager is opened.
But nothing is happed nor any notification or sign of installation.
And open PS, Illustrator, there is no "Adobe Exchange" in exchange menu.
Our system is Windows 8 64 Standard English with Chinese Traditional CS6 Master Collection.
If there is any clue would be appreciated. Please update Extension Manager CS6 to the latest version 6.0.8 first. Click "Tools"->"Preferences" menu item in Extension Manager, check "Enable detailed logging" option. Restart Extension Manager. Try to install the Exchange Panel extension again. Wait for a while, quit Extension Manager. Send all log files under "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\Log" to [email protected]
Note that "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData" folder is hidden by default. You have to check "Organize"->"Folder and search options"->"View"->"Show hidden files, folders, and drives". -

I just upgraded to 10.9. My exchange email won't load emails that are older than a few weeks old. How do I change this setting so I can see all my mail?
Plett81,
I'm having the exact same problem. It does not seem to be a settings issue but rather some sort of "problem" with mac mail. My Exchange provider was able to setup my mailbox on a test machine running Mavericks and everything pulled in fine, however I cannot duplicate on my upgraded system.
I was able to get rebuild my mailbox and get the older messages within my Exchange inbox, however none of my folders and old messages outside of the Inbox are downloading/synching.
**NOTE** I contacted Apple SUpport and they told me to call my email provider. I called my email provider which did as described above and they don't see a problem. SO as suspected it has something to do with the Mavericks update but I'm not sure Apple is willing to help. I might try contacting them one more time and see.
