Exchange Postmaster Email

Hi All,
Kindly assist,
I have an exchange 2003 and exchange 2007 in our network environment.
Our exchange 2003 is on a server and 2007 on another, The first server that host exchange 2003 forwards all email to the second server hosting exchange 2007.
However, certain emails does not get forwarded to the exchange 2007 server, there is a delivery failure generated by exchange 2003 but it doesnt deliver to the sender, its somehow stuck in 'limbo'. I need to get the NDR so i can figure out what the problem
is with certain emails not delivering.
The exchange server 2003 server host gfi mail essentials 2014 for spam filtering, i can see the delivery failure being sent within the logs but it doesnt go out.
I have tried disabling gfi mail essentials but it turns out its not the problem.
Can the NDR be forwarded to the exchange 2007 server mailbox so i can reach it from there?
Someone please assist.
Thanks.

Are both of your Exchange servers in the same AD forest? If so, is there a bi-directional Routing Group Connector between the two routing groups?

  • Exchange 2010 Emails relay to different server

    Hi Guys
We are having some trouble in emails. We have hosted exchange for customer. The same Exchange Server(2010) hosts emails for company as well.
We migrate the email and accounts to hosted exchange from other mail server(exchange, google etc)
I need to migrate a new customer to hosted exchange but before that I need to migrate few accounts for testing. The issues I need to address is that as soon as I will migrate one mailbox to our hosted exchange, any emails sent to that users from our company
email address will be routed internally.
    For Example
There is a customer with email : [email protected] and is hosted within their own exchange(ExchangeServe1)
We have a Hosted Exchange(ExchangeServer2) server which hosts our emails and we offer email solution to customers.
When I will migrate [email protected] into our Exchange server(Exchange Server2) and if after migration I want to send some email from my company email address(Exchange Server2)  exchange will do internal routing and forward email to [email protected] which is
    in the same exchange server(ExchangeServer2).
But I want exchange to forward email to existing customer exchange server(ExchangeServer1).
We are not changing MX record yet so incoming emails from anywhere else would be fine except when we will send emails from our company emails addresses to abc.com domain.
So my question, How do I configure our exchange that it does not send emails to an organization configured in the same exchange server.

you can do this manually with a contact on the old exchange server and a transport rule to forward a copy to the new server you will have to come up with a unique name for the new server at least on a temporary basis maybe a sub domain.
you could also remove the allowed domain name of this customer from your server this is how exchange determined delivery.

  • Delay downloading Exchange server email

I use an iMac with an ethernet link to cable internet service. Using Mail, I have a strange delay of 1-2 minutes before email downloads from an Exchange server. Interestingly, my MacBook, also using Mail, downloads the same Exchange server email almost instantly using an Airport Extreme with the same cable modem providing the cable signal.
In fact, I just switched from a 2007 iMac to a 2010 iMac, used Migration Assistant to transfer everything from the 2007 to the 2010 iMac, and I have the same delay of about 1-2 minutes before email downloads from the Exchange server.
The email always downloads--it's the delay on the iMac that's puzzling.

It's hard to say based on what you posted.  I would guess that the VPN connection doesn't provide the complete name resolution you get when connected to the network internally.

  • Can't eprint from exchange server email address

I am unable to eprint from my exchange server email address and I can print from other accounts such as @att.net aacounts.  This problem has started in the last week.  I have reinstalled the printer and varified the allowed address.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Rick60422,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I gather that in the last week or so you have been unable to print emails from your exchanger server email address.
I have included a document here that has trouble shooting steps to take when an ePrint job fails.

  • Exchange Push Email Not Working

    Hello,
I am at a complete loss. I cannot get exchange push email to work at all on my iPhone 4 (OS 4.1). This is what I have done so far:
    - deleted and added account back (many iterations)
    - DFU'd phone, added account back
    - tried same exchange account on a brand new phone at the apple store, did not work
    - worked with exchange provider, it works in their lab on their test iPhone
-worked with Genius bar for 2 hrs, can't get it to work.
    Any more ideas???

Please describe in detail how you created the account. Is it specifically created as an Exchange account, or as IMAP? Does it verify during the creation process?

  • I deleted my exchange microsoft email on iphone 4 and lost many of my contacts, is there a way i can get the contacts back?

I deleted my exchange microsoft email on my iphone 4 not knowing that it was this important. Later i realized that about 150-200 contacts had been deleted also.
Is there a way i can get that exchange email back or restore my contacts?
    Please help me, Thank You!

No, I hadn't come accross the one you mentioned, but I have got experience with this one on download.CNET and they come in in both: WINDOWS and MAC. I've used it for more than just my lost contacts...., so yeah, I'd recommend it, even though it did not recovery everything I wished it would!

  • I receive emails from an exchange account and from Yahoo the exchange acoount emails stay on my ipad ok but the BTyahoo ones disapear after about 1 hour. Can someone advise on how to stop yhis happening.

I am having problems with my ipad. I receive emails from 2 seperate accounts one exchange account and the other from BTyahoo.
The exchange account emails stay on the ipad but the btyahoo ones disapear after about 1 hour can anyone help.

    To follow-up with this issue:
I ended up performing a security wipe on my device. The security wipe finished, and I was about to reconnect with Exchange when I decided to visit our host's web site to see if they had any articles covering the issues I was experiencing. While they didn't have anything specific, I did find a step-by-step guide to connecting a BB10 device to Exchange... and right there at the end, it said "Do NOT enable memo sync."
I contacted support, and the rep told me that OS 10 has an issue with memo sync and it can cause all sorts of unpredictable behavior. Now, whether or not this is accurate I can say this: So far, the device is not disconnecting and reconnecting like it was before. Problem is, is this a result of not enabling memo sync, or is this a result of the security wipe?
I may have overlooked it, but I don't recall reading anything about that anywhere else. I'm tempted to try re-enabling the memo sync to see if everything blows up again. At least that way I can see for myself if the memo sync is a real issue. Of course, perhaps it's an issue with SherWeb (our host) specifically. Hm...
Anyway, for those that were interested, and for those that may come along in the future with a similar situation, the strange behavior that I first reported is no longer happening. I just don't know if it was a result of a security wipe or a result of not enabling memo sync with Exchange.

  • IPad 3 will not sync "no limit" email option on exchange server email.

I just purchased an iPad 3 updated to 5.1.1 software.  My personal exchange email from my ISP will not download the "no limit" option.  However I still have this email setup on my iPad 2 and i have removed/readded and it works no problem.
I have removed and reset up the email on the iPad 3 and still not working.  Also I notice that if I choose 3 days it will sync, then choose "no limit" it will just stay at the 3 days, this is the same for all other options too.
    Any ideas?

    1. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo
    2. Try another wall socket
    3. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
    4. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
    5. Clean Lightning port with compress air or new paint brush

  • How can I prevent personal contacts from syncing with Exchange corporate email?

I have my phone synching with my work Exchange server over ActiveSync, and have 2 personal email accounts (POP and IMAP).  The 2 personal accounts are also configured in Outlook 2010 on my home computer.  Itunes is also installed on this computer.
I want my contacts from my 2 personal accounts to sync to my phone (which is working), but not have them sync to my work account (this part is not working the way I want).  I now have all my personal contacts uploaded to my work account.  How can I remove the contacts from my work account without removing them from my phone?

Unless you are in the same household, the agreement for Mountain Lion does not allow the setup you have now.
You need to spend another US$30 and buy an additional copy and get that other MacBook on its own unique Apple_ID.

  • After upgrading to iOS 8.2 on iPhone 6, Exchange Push email does not automatically update over wifi. Ideas?

After upgrading my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.2 this weekend, my Microsoft Exchange email accounts (I have two) is no longer being pushed automatically when connected to Wifi.  This was working correctly before the update and continues to work correctly when on 4G, but not Wifi.
    Troubleshooting steps taken:
    * Tested on and off wifi - issue is only when on wifi not when on 4G
    * Turned mail sync off and then back on again - did not make a difference
    * Rebooted phone - did not make a difference
    Other ideas?

I was able to track this down not to the email updates but the notifications.  The 8.2 update turned off email notifications both when unlocked and locked.  I was able to resolve by turning the notifications back on.  Seems odd that an update would change notification settings.

  • Mavericks Mail won't update Exchange 2013 email

I see people have written about this already but there doesn't seem to be a solution posted in these forums and it seems like a major bug.
I use Apple Mail to connect to my work Exchange email. We use Server 2013.
Mail worked perfectly under Mountain Lion.
I updated my office iMac as well as my home iMac and MacBook Pro Retina Display to Mavericks on Tuesday and after doing that my Exchange email on all three devices would update with new mail very slowly -- maybe every half hour or when I started and re-started Mail. Mail updated on my iPhone and iPad instantly as well as through my office's WebMail portal. That is, this isn't a server-based issue.
Also, I have a Gmail account that updates normally.
Searching for answers online, there was a suggestion to change "check new mail" in preferences from "Automatically" to "Every 1 minute." That didn't work, even after I restarted Mail.
I tried reseting Mail on my office iMac by following instructions I found online. It involved going into the Library folder and deleting four or five Mail-related subfolders. After that, it was as though I was using Mail for the first time.
    That didn't work either.
The only other thing I can think of is a clean install of Mavericks but that seems extreme.
Does anyone have an answer to this?
The same problem on three devices makes it seem like this is more of a serious OS bug than a client-side issue.

Donna did anyone ever help you get this fixed? I am having the same problem!!

  • MS Exchange activesync email doesn't work on my iPhone but works on others

I'm having trouble getting Activesync working for email with our work Exchange server on my 3GS iPhone.
The problem that I have is that the Exchange server appears to authenticate properly during the account setup process, but then it never syncs down any email (or folders).
Other (POP or IMAP) email accounts on the same phone work just fine.
In addition, it had been working fine for this same phone. I bought the 3GS the first day it was available, and it worked fine with the exchange server. It worked fine until recently when I changed my work password. It of course, stopped receiving new email because it didn't have the new password. But when I entered the new password it still didn't receive any new email, and since that time it has no longer received email.
If I use a colleague's 3GS iPhone or my old 2G iPhone I can set them up to sync to my exact same account on the exact same server, and they work just fine. So I know I'm entering the password and server settings correctly.
I checked the mail settings and they appear to be the same between the phones.
I have tried various combinations of deleting and recreating the mail account on my 3GS and powering down, but no luck there.
I've tried removing the mobile devices using the webmail settings.
At this point it appears that there is something wrong specifically with my iPhone.
Any ideas of what might be wrong?
Any ideas of what to try? Is my iPhone defective, time to exchange it at the Apple store?

Ok, I've made a discovery. My email will work if I erase the phone but don't restore my backup.
I used the option under settings->general->reset to "Erase all content and settings" on my iPhone.
This puts the iPhone back into the state where it is waiting to be plugged into iTunes for activation. I plugged in my phone into iTunes, but instead of choosing to restore from backup or setup as a new phone, I instead went into settings and setup my activesync mail account. This is essentially the same as what it would be with a brand new phone.
This worked. My activesync connection pulled down my mail and calendar.
So then I restored my phone from backup, and setup my activesync mail account again. It again didn't work.
So there is something that is being saved in the backup that breaks my iPhone working with activesync MS exchange.
If I don't restore from backup, what will I lose on my phone?
    My pictures/movies
    My application settings/files
Music, contacts and applications should all sync down so I shouldn't lose those.
Anyone else have any other ideas on what I should do based on this new information?
