Exchange rate as optional mode in MIRO Tcode

Dear All Expert,
How can we kept exchange rate as optional mode in MIRO Tcode?
Thanks & Regards
Santosh Kadam

Hello,
In customizing, there is an IMG activity 'Define Currencies of Leading Ledger' under Financial Accounting (New) -> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Ledgers -> Ledger (transaction code OB22).
Here, you can define per company code, which type of date FI posting will use for currency conversion. The values for field 'TrsDte typ' are 1 - document date, 2 - Posting date and 3 - Translation date.

    Hi Monika
Please also exchange how you have set up the treatment of exchange rate differences for your company code for LIV under the path:
IMG>Materials Management>Logistics Invoice verification> Incoming Invoice>Configure how exchange rate differences are treated
Check if you have N or X maintained here. If you have any of this config, you will need to maintain the GL Account in KDM as well

  • User Exit / Enhancement Point to set exchange rate using GR date in MIRO

    Dear experts,
I'm trying to set exchange rate not as default but using GR date (When I input the PO number and click enter, the exchange rate should be set). So when system set the exchange rate, it will use the PO date, not GR date.
What user exit / enhancement point / BADI should I use?
I've already tried all user exit and BADI for MIRO but still not succeed. Is there anyone who could help me?
    Thank you very much..
    Regards,
    Shirley

    Hi,
So as to capture Exchange Rate w.r.t PO date, it is suggested to go for Development/Enhancement with required import purchasing doc types in it. While doing GR and before posting the document you need to capture the Exch Rate as per PO date and replace with GR date Exch rate present in it through development.

  • Exchange rate difference posting deactivate in MIRO

    Hi
Exchange rate difference posting is active, I do not want
to post to this account, How to deactivate this.
Shoudl i change in the config under invoice verification - How to treat exchange rate diff ? will it create any other problem ?
    Pl Suggest.
    RRS.

    Dear RRS,
    Please note following things
To enter invoice in foreign currency following settings must be done in SAP  system.
    1. You must have defined  the currency you are using to enter the invoice
    2) You must configure an exchange rate of foreign currency & local currency in customization
    3) You can define diffrent rate for diffrent time  period
For a PO in foreign currency you can decide whether the rate from the PO to convert the foreign currency to the local currency at GR or IV.
If you fix exchage rate in PO then you can change it at GR or IV.
If the exchange rate is not fixed the system uses  the current exchange rate at GR.In IV the system also suggest the current exchange rate as exchange factor but you can change it.

  • Unplanned delivery cost & exchange rate differences in MIRO

    Hi Gurus,
while posting MIRO, I am facing the following problems.  If anybody gives me reply, it will be a great help.
    1.  Unplanned delivery cost:
Client requirement is, these unplanned delivery costs should be added on material only.
how we can map this?  how system behaves when stock is there and not there?  also tell me which G/Ls will trigger.
    2. Exchange Rate:
I maintained exchange rate in OB08. while doing MIRO, how system posts exchange rate differences.
    which G/Ls will trigger.
in case of conditions like customs duty, cess  etc how system will behave?  which G/Ls will trigger?
    Thanks in advance
    KK

    Hi,
    According to first question:
For unplanned cost You have configuration for plant code:
Configuration: SPRO->MM->LIV->Incoming invoice->Configured how unplanned delivery cost are posted
    You have 2 options:
           - Distribute among invoice items
           - Different G/L line
You have another option, You can assigne this cost for item when You use fright cost condition in PO (FRA/FRB)
If the stock will be available, then system incrase valuation, If not will be deviation.
G/L account for unplanned cost is taking from PRD(for Distribute among invoice items) or UPF(for Different G/L line) transaction from OBYC tcode and for FRA/FRB condition is FR1.
    Question 2:
Configuration: SPRO->MM->LIV->Incoming invoice->Configure How Exchange Rate Differences Are Treated
G/L account takes from KDR transaction from OBYC tcode.

  • How to Display Exchange Rate in ME23N

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    We are using 4.6C.
We can change or display the exchange rate of a PO in ME22N but unable to display the exchange rate in ME23N.
In Transaction OMF4 (Define Screen Layout) I don't see field selection key ME23N to select the exchange rate as display.
Could you please advise how can I display the exchange rate in ME23N.
    Points will be awarded.
    Thanks for you help.
    Karen - USA

    Hi Volkan,
    Thanks for the answer.
I followed your instructions and got the field selection key for the document type.
I'm using document type NB and the field selection key for this document is NBF.
I selected the NBF field selection key and selected the Terms and delivery payment. All the entries in optional column were checked. (With these setting I was able to change the exchange rate with ME22N transaction.)
    I did following change.
I only uncheck the exchange rate from optional column and checked in display column.
When I ran transaction ME23N to display the exchange rate, it did not display. Instead exchange rates are display only in change mode (ME22N). I reversed the change back to optional column. Exchange rate is changeable again in ME22N.
It looks very straight forward configuration but in my case I'm not able to display the exchange rate by doing this configuration.
    Please Help.
    Thanks,
    Karen

  • Exchange rate in PO

    Hi SAP Guru's,
I have serious problem,In Import PO I fixed the exchange rate and then did Customs MIRO
that time system taken PO exchange rate but at the time of MIGO system taken exchange rate from TABLE(OB08).and the difference amount goes to gain/loss account.
pls reply this message this is very urgent.
    Points are awarded.
    Thanks in advance
    Raghu

    Hi Vijay,
In the SAP System, goods receipts and invoice receipts are offset to a clearing account (the GR/IR clearing account).
When you receive goods, the system credits the value of the goods (goods receipt quantity x net order price) to the stock account and posts the offsetting entry to the GR/IR clearing account. The GR/IR clearing account is cleared when the invoice is posted to the vendor account.
For posting and clearing, the system uses the exchange rate type M (average rate). This exchange rate type must be entered in the system and you must also enter the exchange rates for this type.
To define different exchange rates you must specify exchange rate types.
You define exchange rates in the system for the following purposes:
    <b>1.Posting and Clearing</b>
To translate amounts posted or cleared in foreign currency, or to check a manually entered exchange rate during posting or clearing.
    <b>2.Exchange Rate Differences</b>
To determine gains or losses from exchange rate differences.
    <b>3.Foreign Currency Valuation</b>
To valuate open items in foreign currency and foreign currency balance sheet accounts as part of the closing operations.
You define exchange rates in Customizing under General Settings-> Currencies ->Enter Exchange Rates.
kindly let me know what configuration settings you are working with and what version. of SAP
    regards
    cheers
    KP

  • Exchange rate in PO / GR/ IR

Is there any configuration part to set exchange rate in Purchase Order / Goods Receipt / Invoice receipt ?

    Hi
As far as I am aware there are no specific settings which are directly responsible for Exchange rates for PO /GR and MIRO stage. Exchange rate directly flows from the Master table for it which is maintained in the Txn code OB08.
However you can manually change the Exchnage rate during PO & In voice only and not during GR. IN PO at the header level you have  Delivery/Invoice tab for exchange rate change and during Invoice in MIRO you have details tab at header level where you can change the exchange rate.

  • Not picking up correct Exchange Rate

    Hi,
I have some queries that are not picking up the correct exchange rates.
The entries look like they are there in TCURR, but the query isn't using them.
Is there any program that can run a DB consistency check on currency tables?
    Br,
    Sonni

    Dear Sonni,
First of all are you sure that the exchange rates are coming correctly from Source to BW.
If not do the below mentioned procedure.
RSA1 --> goto source system --> right click on your source system --> select Transfer Exchange Rates --> select the mode of transfer and excute it
hope it will solve your problem.
    With Regards

  • Exchange rate po gr ir

    Hi,
In my PO. the exchange rate, say, 7.80188 and there is no tick of exch rate fixed in PO header.
During GR, another exchange rate, say, 7.90000.
During IR, despite different translation date, but why exchange rate still the same as per GR which is 7.90000?
May I know if GR and IR would be using the GR exchange rate so that GR and IR can be cleared completely?
    Thanks
