  • Exchange Rate conversion error

Good day.  I am wondering if anyone can help me with this.
When trying to post customer invoice in FB70, I get this error
"Enter rate NGN / 10000 rate type M for 30.08.2010 in the system settings
    Message no. SG105
    Diagnosis
For the conversion of an amount into another currency, an entry is missing in the currency conversion table."
On checking the currency conversion table, exchange rates have been maintained.  I do not understand this message particularly because it does not say which two currencies are questionable.
Also, when running settlement from Projects to CO-PA, I get a similar error,
"Enter rate  /  rate type  for  in the system settings
    Message no. SG105
    Diagnosis
For the conversion of an amount into another currency, an entry is missing in the currency conversion table.
Any ideas where this error is coming from?

    Hi,
What is the copany code curreny (You can check that in OBY6)?
What is the document currency you are entering in FB70?
The exchange rate for these two should have been maintained.
(In case the exchange rate factors have been customized using cross exchange rates, then the exchange rate with refence to that cross currency needed to be maintained.)

    Gaurav

  • Exchange rate conversion po

    Dear all,
In PO I want to maintain the exchange rate in USD at header level and it should display in INR after multiplying with the quantity and converting from USD at item level in Condition tab.
    regards,
    Madhu.

    Madhu,
I am not sure I understood what you wrote, however I am assuming that the
Echange rate currency is in USD,  Usually this is the Vendor currency also, unless you change it.
The PO has been created for company code in India hence currency INR.
When you create a PO , you'd notice the items with a currney USD and under Conditions, you'd notice a converison in to INR as well
So if the COmapny Code is ABCD Currency INR and vendor 1000 with currency USD
You'd notice exchange rate as USD with the equivalent conv factor.
Now at the line item level consider a material 2000 for 20 qty and 2 USD each
U'd note that it shows 2000; QTy 20, price $2 EA
under conditions u'll note 20 EA $40 in one column and its equiavalent conversion in INR which'd approximately be  INR 1600 in an other column.
Now Tell me what your issue is

  • Error in Exchange rate conversion from SC to PO is wrong

    Hello All,
We are using Extended classic scenario, Local PO will get automatically get created
After the completion of shopping cart approval.
We are facing one issue in the price of automatically created PO and Shopping cart.
Ie there is price difference between the PO and shopping cart
    For Egs:
Shopping cart created with 1.0 EUR and showing 1.35 USD as the final price in shopping cart whereas it shows 1.56 USD in PO.
We also checked the currency conversion table ( tcurr, where it 1 EUR = 1.35 USD), ie also showing the correct entries.
I believe there might be some problem in the currency exchange rates.
I have also run these jobs BBP_GET_EXRATE / BBP_GET_CURRENCY to update the currency /exchange rates but still the same issue exists.
Any pointers for the same will be really appreciated.
    Thanks inn advance.

  • Exchange rate conversion

    My company code currency (INR)
I have maintained exchange rate between
    GBP to EUR
    INR  to EUR
    in OB08
Is it mandatory to maintain exchange rate between "GBP to INR".
As per my knowledge if we maintain GBP to EUR and INR to EUR, as per derivative rule system should recognise conversion rate between GBP to INR,  if I am correct could you please let me how to maintain configuration setting in this case.
    Regards,
    Krishna

  • Reg : Exchange rate conversion

    Hi all ,
I am using the function module 'READ_EXCHANGE_RATE' to find the exchange rate .
I am using the below parameters ..
    date = sy-datum,
    FCURR = 'CAD',
    TCURR = 'USD'.
I am getting the exchange rate as '1.496' is coming from TCURRtable.
But for this CAD to USD i have 5 entries in table with different Exchange rate based on the Exchange rate type. In this case what needs to be done to get the correct exchange rate?
    Thanks,
    Krishna.

Type of rate M=Average rate G=Bank buying rate B=bank sellin
For conversion we use type 'M'.

  • Exchange rate conversion in Expense claim

    HI there
The user community for my travel variant would like to enter both the foreign currency amount and the converted amount i.e. this would cause the actual exchange rate to be calculated as opposed to the converted amount being calculated. Is this possible and if so, how?
We are working through the ESS portal so this would need to be an ESS setting/config.
    Thanks and regards
    Linda

    Hi,
    Yes. This can be done.
In the expense claim portal, you will have a push button called Enter expenses. That is where the traveller will claim his expenses via expense type.
In standard, you will have lots of columns there. For your requirement, these two columns named Expenses Currency and Local amount should be visible.
    Please follow the path :
Spro > Financial Accounting (new) > Travel Management > Employee Self-Services > Interface Configuration for Web Dynpro Interface in Travel Management > Schema and Single Field Control for Web Dynpro.
    1. Select Your Trip provision variant
    2. Drill down your trip schema
    3. Drill down Return Value According to Feature TRVFD
    4. Drill down Web Interface (Travel Expenses Only)
    5. Drill down Trip Receipts
    6. Select PTRV_UTIL_BELEG-BETRG, PTRV_UTIL_BELEG-BLDAT , PTRV_UTIL_BELEG-WAERS on the right side of the screen, make sure standard format is selected.
    7. Select the other fields and select Alternative display type and remove the tick mark from field is visible.
You will be able to find the local currency amount there. The exchange rate is picked from TCURR table. Maintain rates accordingly
    Trust this helps.
    Best Regards,

  • Exchange Rate Types Used In What Transactions

    Hi Experts!
I was inquiring on if there is a way to see all exchange rate types ("M" and alternative exchange rate types), with respects to where they are used, posted, and most importantly, what all transactions use them.  The exchange rate types we use are M (system), Z1 (custom), and 0011 (custom).  Even if there is a SAP note, on this, that would be helpful too.  Urgent!  Thank you for your time!
    WC

    Hi Will,
Execute transaction code <b>OB07</b> to see all the exchange rate types within your system.
The following should help you to understand where they are used and which transactions used them.
In <b>planning</b>, exchange rate types are used to specify exchange rates used for different purposes at the same time in the system. Existing entries may not be deleted.
When exchange rate conversions take place between many different currencies, using a reference currency can simplify maintenance of exchange rates. For the exchange rate types concerned, you then only have to specify the exchange rates in relationship to the reference currency for all currencies. The SAP R/3 System then carries out all exchange rate conversions in two steps, using the reference currency.
    As well as a <b>buying rate</b> "<b>G</b>", you can also maintain a <b>selling rate</b> "<b>B</b>".
The buying rate is that under which the average rate "<b>M</b>" is recorded.
When maintaining a buying rate, enter the appropriate currency type for the average rate. This reduces the amount of work required in the conversion table.
The selling rate is that under which the average selling rate is recorded.
The user need only maintain the conversions for the average rate. The conversion occurs by determining the average rate and then adding the difference between the rates to this rate.
If an entry for a currency conversion is missing, the indicator Invert ensures that the reversed currency relationship, should one exist, is available for the conversion.
    <u><b>Standard settings</b></u>
The standard R/3 System includes exchange rate type <b>P</b> (standard translation for cost center accounting).
    <u><b>Note</b></u>
When you create a controlling area, the SAP R/3 System creates version 000 automatically for 5 years. Rate type <b>P</b> is defaulted.
The R/3 System uses rate type <b>M</b> for currency conversion during postings and clearings of documents.
    <u><b>Recommendation</b></u>
Before creating your own exchange rate types, check those offered by SAP and use them if appropriate.
    I hope the above helps.
Do not forget to award the points please.
    Regards,
    Jacob

  • Transfer of Freight Conditions to Billing Document - exchange rate issue

I am having an issue with my freight costs copy to customer billing document and the exchange
rate causing the values to change.
Example - SCD freight = 400 USD, but vendor is being invoiced in BRL (807.44).
The freight is passed to customer billing document, which happens to have local document currency of
EUR, but customer being invoiced in USD.  However the freight is going thru some kind of exchange rate conversion, causing my original 400 USD freight
to show as 414.44 USD on the customer invoice.
I am looking for way to keep the freight from changing between SCD + Customer Billing document.
    Regards
    Rita

Can you share your screens from F-60 involving EUR to USD conversion?
Also, try using transaction EWCT to test conversions between currencies,
you can choose your two currencies that give you the issue, and test by
entering the initial value, seeing the converted value.

  • Exchange rate diff. influencing the available cost of WBS-element

    Hi all,
here is a intricate problem I need help to solve. I am not so very experienced withon CO/PS, my main competence is within PM. This issue involves PM/MM/PS and CO so I am not sure if this is the correct group to post to, but I give it a try..
In PM (Plant Maintenance) workorders the u201DPlanned Costu201D is calculated.  Exchange rate type for the u201DPlanned costu201D is picked from the CO Cost Version u201D0u201D that uses exchange rate type u201DPu201D. This is a exchange rate type that have one yearly fixed exchange rate. The actual costs are posted with exchange rate type M, which is daily updated.
The Planned cost in the workorder is a part of the u201DAssigned Costu201D that are influencing the available budget on the WBS-element. u201DRemaining/Residual order planu201D.
In cases where the PRQ/PO are created in other currency than the Company code currency we have a problem:
The difference in exchange rate are causing the u201DAvailable budgetu201D to be too low u2013 and the only workaround I have found is to decrease the planned cost in the WO to release the available cost for the Budget. (make the available cost higher )
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
    - I have thought of setting the exchange rate type for the planned cost to be the same as for the actual costs u2013 but it is not recommended to change the exchange rate type in CO for cost version u201D0u201D and not a good ide to change the exchange rate type for actual cost eather. This will also not solve the problem of exchange rate difference caused by PRQ/PO beeing created for a whole year for varying exchange rates.
    - Is there a way to exclude the u201D Remaining/Residual order planu201D from the u201DAssigned Costu201D? And what consequences will this have? Only cost from PRQ/PO will appear? (Since internal material (reservations) and internal hours not triggers a PRQ/PO)? I see there is a transaction CJE5 where you can exclude the u201D Remaining/Residual order planu201D from the u201DAssigned costu201D u2013 but I think this will only exclude it from beeing shown in the report S_ALR_87013558?- not from the calculation of available cost at the WBS-element?  which is what I need. (see Note 668240)
-Is there any u201DExchange rate differenceu201D setting in the customizing u2013 how exchange rate difference are treated for PM orders? And will this help my problem?
    Best regards
    Ellen

    Hi ,
    try this way...
Go to T-code>CJE0>Enter CO Area-->and execute the report 12KST1A  ->in the selection screen -->
go to menu -->system -->status check the program name and ...copy
next go to se38 and copy yhe above program name and execute and use submit report with selections,,,,

  • Exchange Rate fixed in PO but still difference in GRN

    Dear All,
We are using exchange rate indicator fixed in Purchase Order but still value for custom duty in GRN is calculated as per the exchange rate maintained in OB08 for the date of posting the GRN.
PO created 31.03.2015 with document date as 30.03.2015 so that exchange rate is picked for previous date and fixed indicator ticked.
Custom invoice posted with exchange rate as in PO.
    GRN posting date - 31.03.2015
But while posting GRN, custom duties are calculated as per exchange rate on 31.03.2015 instead of exchange rate maintained in PO.
Custom duty value 333.40 USD is calculated as 307.75 in GRN.
    Regards
    Vikas Sehra

    Dear All,
I have also raised OSS for the issue for which I got below reply -
if you want your freight condition JCDB to be valuated as
per the fixed rate set in the purchase order, then, you need to post
the reception before than the invoice.
But I am not able to understand what and how to post reception.
    Kindly suggest.

  • Exchange Rate Type Problem

    Hi All,
I have problem with Exchange rate conversion. The system is not picking correct Exchange rate in billing Invoice of FI from SD.
The scenario is I have created Exchange rate type as Z and alternate currency type is FGE1. I created new one because bussines does not want to use EURX as it is fucltuating it needs fixed rate type. So I have create Z & FGE1 as exchange rate type.
Now In customer Master I have in Sales area Tab I have maintained Z as exchange rate type. So I create SO in SO I can see it is showing me Z as exchange rate conversion value.
So when it comes to Accounting Document the values from GBP to EUR get converted into EURX rate type. Which is very surprising to me. My company code Currency is EUR Dcouemtn CUrrency is GBP.
So can some one give me where the problem is arising.
    Regards,
    Kiran.

    Hi,
Use transaction OBA7 and check if exchange rate EURX type is defined for document type RV
Remove entry EURX in the document type RV and maintain Z or FGE1 whichever you want....it will be done..

  • Exchange rate basing on the duedate or document date

    Hi Friends,
While doing postings, system is always taking due date as date for exchange rate conversion instead of baseline date/
    Example :
    Contract cashflow : 100USD - 01/09/2010 to 30/09/2010 - due date 01/09/2010 (exchange rate : 45.50 on 01/09/10)
                                      100USD - 01/10/2010 to 31/10/2010 - due date 01/10/2010 (exchange rate: 45.00 on 01/10/10)
When i am doing RERAPP on 01/10/10 for september cashflow line item, system is taking exchange rate as 45.50 instead of 45.00. My query is what is the base date for exchange rate determination whether it is due date for a line item in a contract or posting date while doing RERAPP.
If anybody workks on this scenario, provide some idea.
    Srini

    Hi Srinivas,
let me know how you are taking currency translation rate, there are two possobilites
    1. Rormula in condition record
    2.Currency translation rule.
If 1. one u have to wirte a badi to pick up condition start data or calcution start date.
if 2. while creation of  Currency transation rule, you have to select procedure as Calculation start data as translation date.
