Exchange Rate in Profitability Analysis Document

How is the exchange rate populated in profitability analysis document?
We have couple of scenarios:
Scenario 1: Credit memo request created without any reference and credit memo is created successfully. Exchange rate populated in the profitability analysis document is the exchange rate which applicable to current date.
Scenario 2: Credit memo request created with reference to customer invoice document and credit memo is created successfully. Exchange rate populated in the profitability analysis document is the exchange rate which applicable to the past date. We dont know how the system picked the exchange rate which does not applicable to the current date.
Any poiniters to this issue?

  • How to find credit data exchange rate at the billing document

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question about Creidt data exchange rate, I created sales order and when I tried to generate the invoice, it was split into 2 billing document and the reason in split analysis is "Credit data exchange rate at billing document", I want to ask where can I find the credit data exchange rate at the billing document?
And where can I find that this is one of the criteria to trigger the billing split?
Thanks for your great help in advance.

Please dont post the same question in multiple forums which is not allowed

Hello, this field is for the exchange rate between local currency & local currency 2, there must be someplace to set up it, do you know where is that place?
As now the invoice split show the data with the exchange rate which is weird. And i don't know how to fix it so that the invoice will not be split anymore..
    Thanks for your great help!

  • Order value fields by field label in the profitability analysis document

    Hello,
I am displaying a profitability analysis document and I want to order the value fields by their technical name (VV001, VV002, VV003...) instead of in alphabetical order (the system orders them by the field label).
    Is it possible?
    Thank you very much
    Bea

    Hello,
Check in KE4M whether sd condition type FKLMG  is mapped corresponding value field in COPA.As you are getting the value for other company codes, this setting should be there.
You can also try checking simulation of billing document transfer through KE4ST. Check the details analysis

  • Cannot use Row Exchange Rate in the Draw Document Wizard

    Hi Experts,
I am having problems while trying to post an AP Invoice which is copied from a Goods Receipt PO. I made two transactions in GRPO:
12/28/2011 - I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 45. Doc No.1198
12/29/2011 -  I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 47. Doc No. 1199
While adding the AP Invoice on 12/30/2011,  I have an exchange rate of PHP 46.
When trying to add the AP Invoice, I used Copy From Goods Receipt PO and I higlighted the two doc numbers 1198 and 1199. In the Draw Document Wizard Row Ex. Rate Prices I have selected the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document.  However a system message appears which says Base Document Exchange Rate cannot be used, the rows will be updated using the target document exchange rate.
My presumption is that when I choose the Row exchange rate from base document, SAP will automatically copy the row exchange rate used in the documents so for the transactions in 12/28, the rate of PHP 45 shall be used and same goes for the 12/29 which is PHP 47.
How should I go about this? Am I missing a step here? By the way, I am using SAP B1 8.82 PL01.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Rahul,
You said 'It is not at all concerned with Exchange rate during GRPO...' If that is the case how does the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document in the draw document wizard work? Does this mean 1 GRPO : 1 AP Invoice so I can use the base document rate?
How should I go about with transactions like these? That is adding an AP Invoice from multiple GRPO's having different exchange rates. What I am trying to capture here is that in the AP Invoice, base document rates should be used in the row item level and not the current rate when adding the invoice.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hello,
You could do one of the below,
1)Mnaually change the billing date to the date the posting block is removed and posted to accounts, through this the current exchange rate will be determined
    2) use a user exit from below to set that the system always redetrmines the exchage rate when posting to accounts
    user exits are
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_001:
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_002
    Hope this helps

  • Exchange rate difference in single document

    Hi Expects,
Why do I see different exchange rate in one single PO invoice document?
Itm PK Account      Account short text            Amount Crcy      Amount in LC LCurr
      1   31 Vendor        Jodhia                             4847.04- EUR         6582.52- USD
      2   86 500012       GR/IR                              4603.62  EUR         6514.60  USD
      3   86 700054       Variance                            243.42  EUR            67.92  USD
Only vendor line item (1) has the correct exchange rate as per in OB08. Why item 3 has even more amount in EUR and less in USD which is too weird.
    Thanks
    Simar

    Hi Venkata,
First of all thanks for replying.
No it was not checked because this scheduling agreement was created once a year ago. Client want the system should calculate the exchange rate at the time of invoice.
System is calculating the exchange rate amount correctly for vendor line item but not for other two.
    Thanks,

  • Exchange rate differences whne clearing documents in local currency

    Hello,
While clearing customer documents in local currency , the system calculates exchange rate differences in the clearing document. Even if the amount in local currency is 0, the amount in second local currency will have a value. The same is happening also when we clear GR/IR account. In the case of customer clearing, becuse for the exachange rate differences account  are maintaied default values in OKB9, the system cannot split, since there are 2 different account assignments when tolerances are also involved.
I think that, if the exchange rate differences account wont be popluated while clearing, i will be able to post clearing with tolerance amounts.
Any idea about how to make the exchange rate differences not to be caulculated for clearing in local currency?
    Thank you,
    S.

    Hi,
Go to OBY6 and choose your company code.
For your company code, the check box No forex rate diff. when clearing in LC should have been checked in case if you dont want to calculate the exch rate diff when clearing open items in LC.
    This will solve your issue.
    Thanks,
    Srinu

  • Does anybody know if I can substitute the exchange rate in a CO document?

    Dear experts,
Does anybody know if I can substitute the exchange rate field in a CO document creation?
We have a header substitution in FI to populate the constant 1 in the exchange rate field every time we use a specific currency. And this substitution is working fine in FI, but if in the FI document we post an expense account, it generate a controlling document and this controlling document take as an exchange rate the one that the system has, not the constant. Does anybody know if I can create the same substitution for CO documents?
    Best Regards,
    Tatiana

    Hi Tatiana ,
I guess you cannot do that .. but never tried that ..
Please refer OSS Note : 392273  which specifies when Validation/Substitution is called in CO

  • Set exchange rate field in billing document

VBRK-CPKUR (set exchange rate tick box). Anyone tell me wht this does? Is it driven from the billing document type? It is defaulted to checked for us and I don't want it to be. How can I change the default?
    Points will be awarded.
    Jon

    hi,
<b>ID:Exchange rate setting (no new rate determ.in bill.doc.)</b>
Indicates whether the foreign currency exchange rate that is applied to the sales document is fixed or whether it can be changed during billing.
    Procedure
The system can propose a value. You can change the value manually in the sales document. If you are allowed to change the exchange rate during billing, the system recalculates prices using the most recent exchange rate.
    pl reward if it helps.
    Thanks

  • Exchange rate difference posted to document currency instead of local

    Dear Gurus,
When I post in MIRO (invoice receipt) for a Service Order, there is exchange rate difference. But instead of posting the exchange difference to local currency (SGD), the system is posting the rate difference to document currency (USD). The SO is created for a asset.
Kindly assist me on how I can post the difference to the local currency.
    Thank you.

I found out that the user did an invoice verification using MIRO. So the posting was debit vendor acct, credit GR and credit asset. But after this the user did a reverse (MR8M). The reversal was only done for the invoice the asset posting was not reversed by MR8M. So when the user posted the invoice again in MIRO, the system tried to debit vendor, credit GR & debit asset.
Kindly enlighten me on why this is happening & what I need to do in order to post the invoice again so that the system debit vendor acct, credit GR and credit asset.
    Thank you.

  • User-Exit to modify exchange rate type for Accouting document

    Hi,
    My requirement is as follows.
I am creating an incoming invoices which in turn creates an accounting document.
The document currency for the accouting document is different from the Company code currency. In such a case, the "Exchange rate type" provided in the customization of the "Accouting doc type" is picked up and the exchange rate is determined for the conversion.
I need some user-exit/badi/bte where I can override default  "Exchange rate type" for my accouting document.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

Provide the exchange rate in the BAPI to create the incoming invoice document.
