Exchange Rate is stored in field..... ?  (PO Document)

Hi guys,
Im using SRM 4.0sp8 with ECS.
THE PROBLEM:
I have a PO document that was created in MXN (locally), then the purchaser guy changed to USD and SRM  converted the amount of money succesfuly.     However, the PO document was replicated to R3 with a different amount !
Im stucked and I dont know how to solve this problem.
THE QUESTION:
- Is the exchange rate stored in some field in the PO document ?
Thanks for your help !!!
Regards from Mexico,
Diego

Hi Jagdish,
Finally I found the problem, but I dont know how to solve it!
The problem:
1. The purchaser guy creates a Local PO in SRM using MXN as currency
2. The PO is replicated to R3.
3. The purchaser update the PO currency in SRM (he change it from MXN to USD)
4. The PO update is replicated to R3, at this moment... all the position prices are wrong, it seems that something happened with the exchange rate used !
Do you have any idea about how to solve it ?
Thank you !

  • Exchange rates at line items in billing document - VF04

    Hello,
We are trying to create a collective billing document, via transaction VF04, for deliveries created from two sales orders with different exchange rates (VKBD-KURRF).
When we try to execute this operation, two billing documents are created and in split analysis. This behavior is due to different exchange rates (from sales orders).
Since the sold-to-party is the same, he wants a unique billing document for all deliveries.
So we pretend to post one billing document with different exchange rates at item level, instead of at header level.
    Is this possible?
    Regards,
    José Melo

    Dear José Melo
You can combine multiple deliveries in one billing document provided the following are same in all preceding documents
    -  Payer
    -  Actual GI Date from Delivery
    -  Payment Terms
    -  Inco Terms
    -  Account Assignment Group of customer
    -  Exchange Rate
In your case, since invoice is splitting due to exchange rate, you can achieve to have one invoice.  In VF04, you can see a tab Default Data  where there is a field Service Rendered Date.   Maintain a date and generate so that you will get one invoice.
    thanks

  • Exchange rate does not reflect in Sales Document

    Hi,
I have configured a new exchange rate for JPY -> USD, but when I create a new Sales Order, the exchange rate at the Item Level -> Sales A is still showing the old exchange rate, how can I solve this?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Maintain exchange rate type in customer master sales tab.
Check the exchange rate type and valid from values in OB08.

  • Exchange rate basing on the duedate or document date

    Hi Friends,
While doing postings, system is always taking due date as date for exchange rate conversion instead of baseline date/
    Example :
    Contract cashflow : 100USD - 01/09/2010 to 30/09/2010 - due date 01/09/2010 (exchange rate : 45.50 on 01/09/10)
                                      100USD - 01/10/2010 to 31/10/2010 - due date 01/10/2010 (exchange rate: 45.00 on 01/10/10)
When i am doing RERAPP on 01/10/10 for september cashflow line item, system is taking exchange rate as 45.50 instead of 45.00. My query is what is the base date for exchange rate determination whether it is due date for a line item in a contract or posting date while doing RERAPP.
If anybody workks on this scenario, provide some idea.
    Srini

    Hi Srinivas,
let me know how you are taking currency translation rate, there are two possobilites
    1. Rormula in condition record
    2.Currency translation rule.
If 1. one u have to wirte a badi to pick up condition start data or calcution start date.
if 2. while creation of  Currency transation rule, you have to select procedure as Calculation start data as translation date.

  • Default Exchange rate type at document type level for parallel currencies

    Hi,
I have a scenario wherein 2 parallel currencies have been maintained (Grp & index based) against a Co Code and have maintained a default exchange type (Z2) in the Document type settings (OBA7).
But when I want to post a foreign currency document, system picks Z2 rates for Co Code currency conversion and not for Grp & index based. In fact it picks M rate for these addtional currencies.
I know that for parallel currencies, the system will always use the exchange rate type defined in transaction OB22 ( "M" rate) which is at Co Code level but I want default exchange rate type Z2 to be picked at Document Type level for all the parallel currencies.
Please suggest how to archive this.
    Thanks,
    Sam

    Dear Sam,
The exchange rate type defined in the FI document type (-> field
exchange rate type in transaction OBA7) is only used for the currency
translation from transaction/document currency into first local
currency, not for the currency translation into second local (group)
currency or for the currency translation into third local currency.
The exchange rate types for the currency translation into second
local (group) currency and third local currency are defined in
    transaction OB22.
Unfortunately there is no option to change the exchange rate of 2nd or
3rd local currency in our posting transactions. The design doesn't
regard that requirement. But you have the chance to adjust the parallel
currencies in OB22 or to change the amounts manually.
    I hope this helps.

  • Exchange rate difference in single document

    Hi Expects,
Why do I see different exchange rate in one single PO invoice document?
Itm PK Account      Account short text            Amount Crcy      Amount in LC LCurr
      1   31 Vendor        Jodhia                             4847.04- EUR         6582.52- USD
      2   86 500012       GR/IR                              4603.62  EUR         6514.60  USD
      3   86 700054       Variance                            243.42  EUR            67.92  USD
Only vendor line item (1) has the correct exchange rate as per in OB08. Why item 3 has even more amount in EUR and less in USD which is too weird.
    Thanks
    Simar

    Hi Venkata,
First of all thanks for replying.
No it was not checked because this scheduling agreement was created once a year ago. Client want the system should calculate the exchange rate at the time of invoice.
System is calculating the exchange rate amount correctly for vendor line item but not for other two.
    Thanks,
    Simar

  • Exchange Rate in Profitability Analysis Document

How is the exchange rate populated in profitability analysis document?
    We have couple of scenarios:
Scenario 1: Credit memo request created without any reference and credit memo is created successfully. Exchange rate populated in the profitability analysis document is the exchange rate which applicable to current date.
Scenario 2: Credit memo request created with reference to customer invoice document and credit memo is created successfully. Exchange rate populated in the profitability analysis document is the exchange rate which applicable to the past date. We dont know how the system picked the exchange rate which does not applicable to the current date.
    Any poiniters to this issue?

  • COPA Document with different exchange rate

    Hi
We have created a Sales Order in 2007.
Now in 2008 we have raised credit request for this order. The accounting doc generated correctly and currency translated as per the exchange rate maintained in the table as on today.
But the copa document generated with the exchange rate of 2007.
Can you please let us know is it the correcy way of behaviour or the COPA doc also should generate with current date exchange rate.
    Thanks and Regards
    RS

    Hi Ram
    Thanks for your reply.
    This is my scenario.
The company code currency is THB.
The second local cuurency is USD.
    The Operating currency is USD.
    Reporting Currency is USD.
We have created a Sales order in December 2007 for currency THB. The billing document and accounting document also generated in the same year. The exchange rates are picked correctly as per the exchange rate table.
The exchange rate is @42. The COPA document also created with exchange rate @42.
Now in the month of January a credit note created against the order. The accounting doc generated @32 as per the exchange rate tables. But the COPA document generated with exchange rate @42.
This is happening only for the credit notes.
Can you please let us know is this standard behaviour or something wrong with customization.
    Best Regards
    RS

  • Use exchange rate from base document

    Hello,
for exmaple , I copy a delivery from a sales quotation. The 'Draw document Wizard" appears and I choose the option "use exhange rate from base document", however, the ddw uses the exchange rate from the exchange rate table, instead from the base document.
Where is the mistake? What I've done wrong?
    Regards,
    Thilo

    Hi,
Note 703028 explains the behaviour and also refers to the EES Kerstin mentions.
When reading the note it is important to read it slow and read it carefully.
The functionality will change and be enhanced in the next release 8.8.
    [Information Page on Release 8.8|https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000199032009]
There are training sessions for this version starting in the coming weeks, you can register on this page.
The currently available presentation ( [SAP Business One 8.8 Overview Delta Session|https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000585932009E.ppt] ) on the site only mentions the change in copying exchange rate differences briefly on slide 27 and does not go into detail.
    Hope it helps,

  • Exchange rate on approved document

    Dear experts,
I have a scenario where while i raise a marketing document like Purchase Order. My exchange rate on the table is 1 Dollar = 81 KSH. When i raise a purchase order i change the exchange rate on the document to 80. If this document goes for approval the exchange rate picks from the table but if it doesnt it remains as 80. Does anyone has a reason why this could be the case cause i should be able to edit the my document to a different exchange rate and maintain that on the document. please advice
    Regards,

    Hi,
What B1 version are you using ? I am afraid it could be bugs.
Log a message to SAP support. They can provide solution for that.
Other cause is the approval document is performed in the day after document created. However, it should not change the rate. You could also read the ees pdf file on exchange rate from SAP AG

  • Exchange rate difference while cancellation

    All,
I have done MIGO for Imported items .
    Accounting entries generated .
Suppose Exchange rate is 1 EUR = 5 EGP
Suppose it is dr : 100 EUR (stock)

                PPV Cr : 10 EUR
While doing the MIGO Cancellation for same document ( 102 Mvt type ) ,
    Accounting entries reversed ,
    but coming as different .
            Cr : 99 EUR
            Dr : 90 EUR
    PPV Dr : 9   EUR
But while displaying in Local currency , entries while MIGO and also for reverse are absolutely same .
    How this is happening ?
    Kindly advise.

    Hi,
You cannot make the default setting for exchange rate fix in PO. When you make the ex.rate fix you need to enter the exchange rate in the adjacent field. This rate value may be as per the billing of ladding date or Letter of indent date depending on your business. Therefore in case of import PO please check /change the rate and fix it before making the GR.

  • Divide DMBTR by exchange rate ( SAp filed BAPI1093_0- EXCH_RATE)

    Hi
I would like the divede the value of DMBTR(Amount in Local currency) by EXCH_RATE(Direct Quoted Exchange Rate - SAP field BAPI1093_0- EXCH_RATE)
In my data, I have Exchnage rate as           3.25000 and amount as 310000.00
Exchange rate was stored in the field : V_EXCH_RATE, the data type is  BAPI1093_0- EXCH_RATE
Amount was stored in the field : Amount_dmbtr, the data type is BSID-DMBTR.
Result have to stored in Result_dmbtr, the data type is BSID-DMBTR.
    That is
    Result_dmbtr = amount_dmbtr / v_exch_rate.
    Result_dmbtr = 310000.00 / 3.25000
    expected result is : 9538.461538
But I am getting value as :           0.10.
If I multiply amount_dmbtr by 1000 then this will become 31000000.
If  I do calculation as 31000000 / 3.25 getting result as 95.38. Again I am muliplying this by 100 and got result as 9538. I would like to know the logic behind this.
    see the piece of code

       Result_dmbtr  = amount_dmbtr  / GV_XCH_F_EUR_DUE_01
    final output :

  • Exchange rate in Export Invoice

    Hi,
End user maintained Exchange rate 59.445 in sales order manually for export order.
but at the time of billing system is taking 58 which is maintained in OB08
But my client does not want this, his requirement is whaever they maintained in order that exchange rate system has to pick in billing
For this In copy control Delivery - Invoive for perticular Item category TAN we maintained pricing exchage rate as A means From sales order.
But still system is picking it from OB08.
    How to resolve this issue?
    Regards,
    Akshay

Three exchange rates you can find in billing document.
    They are
    1)  VBRP-KURSK = Document currency for Price determination which depends on the setting of TVCPFLP-PFKUR in copy control
    2)  VBRK-KURRF = Document currency for FI postings. If you input manually in sale order field VBKD-KURRF, it is copied to above table / field.  Otherwise, this will be determined during invoice generation
    3)  KOMV-KKURS = this is for local currency at Price condition level which will be determined based on pricing date.

  • Calculate realized exchange rate differencies

During the clearing open items in different currency, system calculate realized exchange rate differencies and post it on GL account , in cleared document there is field  : :Realized exch. rate differencesu201D u201CBSEG-RDIFFu201D and this field should be filled with amount of exchange rate diiferecies but this field is empty. How to customize system to fill this field automatically during the clearing .

    Hi Santosh.
    Thanks for your reply.
I verified setting in KDF: all reconciliation accounts have  got proper P&L
GL account-assignments. During clearing open items with payment, system
calculate exchange rate diff. in proper way but amount of exchange rate
differences is not entered in field  BSEG-RDIFF. I compare two different
system and I noticed that in one system amount of exchange rate differences
is transferred to field BSEG-RDIFF but in second system not. I dont know ,

  • Group Currency  Exchange rate type.

    Hi
We wanted to post a foreign currency document, with a specific Exchange rate, that is specified in the Document type.
Doument Currency is getting converted into Local Currency (Company code currency) based on the exchange rate type specifed in the Document type used for posting.
But, the Group Currency is getting converted from Document currency based on the Exchange rate type : "M" but based on the Exchange rate type specified in the Document type.
Is there any way, apart from specifying Exchange rate type in Parallel Currencies.
We wanted the conversion of Both Local (Company code) & Group currencies be converted based on the Exchange rate type specified in the document type, for some specific postings.
    Following is our Scenario :
    Co.Code Cur - EUR
    Doc.Cur          GBP
    Grp Cur           USD
Document type : XY -- Exchange rate type "1111" specified in the document type.
Now when a document is posted with Document type "XY"  in Document Cur : GBP.
Both Local & Grp currency to be converted based on the Exchange rate type " 1111".
    Thanks
    Kalyan

    Hello Kaylan,
I will try to explain the system behavior, regarding to the exchange
rate question, "M" is standard exchange rate type used in R/3 so it's
not possible to change this default setting. However you can assign the
exchange rate type to each FI document type at transaction OBA7. The
exchange rate type assigned here applies to both online/batch postings.
Therefore you can assign a different exchange rate type to the document
types, but not per company code. The exchange rate that you customize at
document type level is validfor the first local currency. However, for
parallel currencies, the system will always use the exchange rate type
defined in transaction OB22. Please, check your customizing there to
    check your changes.
If you want to use exchange rate type B, for example, instead of M, in
customizing you have to give Alt Ex.Type as B against M. So that it will
take B rate whenever M is applicable. If you want this B rate to be
applicable for specific document types then you can do the same at
document type definition itself. Otherwise you can do the same at
payment program level/ Revaluation. These are the only places where
    exchange type comes into picture.
