Exchange rate should pick as per document date of GRN in MIGO

Dear all,
As per my client requirement while doing Material GRN in MIGO, system should fetch exchange rate as per Document date of the GRN.
As per standard now it is picking from posting date.
we already implemented Note number 574583. After implementation of this note system picking document date for MIRO and normal FI Documents(f-02) bur not for MIGO.
So suggest me how can we get document date as exchange rate translation date for MIGO
Note: Before posting this, i have searched for solution in SCN but i didn't get solution any where.
Regards
kishore

Hi Amitesh,

  • Exchange rate should pick from TCURR based on custom date field added in MIGO

    Hi,
In MIGO, FI document get posted by picking exchange rate based on the posting date. Through BADI(MB_DOCUMENT_BADI) we have added a field called translation date in MIGO screen, while doing GRN exchange rate should pick from TCURR based on translation date instead of posting date. We have tried this logic using substitution (GGB1) in FI accounting it is working fine in FB60 & F-02 transaction but it is not working with MIGO transaction. Please suggest some solution for this.

    Hi Maniraj,
This will a modification to existing system and it is not supported directly.
There are 2 notes of SAP for modification of translation date of BKPF.
SAP Note 574583 will activate a BADI kindly refer to it for details.

  • Determination of current exchange rate in the cancellation billing document

    Hi All,
I have a requirement which I have described below. It would be helpful if you can mail your suggestions on the below.
    Existing logic in SAP:
While CANCELLING a billing document(VF11), system copies the exchange rate from the original billing document. The same is transferred to accounting from the header of the billing document. VBRK–KURRF to BKPF-KURSF.
    Change Requirement:
While CANCELLING a billing document, system should determine the exchange rate based on the current date (Date of cancellation)
The same should get transferred to accounting.
Example: Invoice dated 01.01.2005 if cancelled on 15.05.2006; the exchange rate should determine the rate that is valid for 15.05.2006 and not copy from the original invoice.
So VBRK–KURRF should not get copied from the Original billing document, but it should redetermine the rate based on the current date.
I need to know if there are any Exits or Bapi's or any kind of customization that I can do for this requirement.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Midhun.

    Hi midhun ,
    This is sai ,
I dont know whether this is precise solution for your rpoblem or not . but i have an idea regarding that
If the document is reversed then another document will be created for reversal
So in document type settings you have an option for using another exchange rate

  • COPY EXCHANGE RATE FROM BASE TO TARGET DOCUMENTS

After several study and anaylsis based on Note 703028, we conclude this feature is not applicable to our normal practice in Singapore.
SAP Business One copies the base row Exchange Rate to the target document only if items in the base document are defined with prices in a Foreign Currency which is not set as the System Currency or which is different from the Business Partner's Currency (this is the currency selected in the header of the document for a Multi Currency Business Partner). This prevents a discrepancy between the row total and the document total.
Since this feature is not desirable in your applications, we would like to feedback to SAP and suggest for improvement.
    Example
My Local Currency is SGD, System Currency is EUR, BP Currency is USD.
    Foreign Currency exchange rates:
                        USD
    3 Oct 2007    1.4
    4 Oct 2007    1.5 (1 USD = 1.5 SGD)
Assuming in Sales Order, BP Currency is USD at exchange rate of 1.4, Document Date 3 Oct 2007.
Qty     Unit Price    Total Amount (SGD)
    1        USD1,000    SGD1,400
After copying Sales Order to Invoice on 4 Oct 2007 with BP Currency USD, default exchange rate should be 1 USD = 1.4 SGD
Qty     Unit Price    Total Amount (SGD)
    1        USD1,000    SGD1,400
Current system behaviour is not desirable.
After copying Sales Order to Invoice on 4 Oct 2007 with BP Currency USD, default exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.5 SGD though we choose Copy Exchange rate from Base Document in the Copy Wizard.
Qty     Unit Price    Total Amount (SGD)
    1        USD1,000    SGD1,500
    Kedalene Chong

We have had the same issue.
The BP pricelist currency is in this case important, not the BP currency.
The question 'copy exchange rate from base to target document' relates to this currency exchange rate used in the base document to calculate from USD to SGD. If your pricelist is in SGD, then the program will recalculate the target document SGD to the same exchange rate in USD as it was in the base document.
Because the value of the USD currency has changed, there wil be a different amount on the target document.
If you donot want a different amount on the target document then the only solution is to make a price list in USD.

  • To set the "Pricing Exchange rate type" in the billing document

    Hello SAP Experts,
I have a customer requirement to determine the "pricing exchange rate" as "C Exchange rate determination according
to Billing date" in Billing documents ONLY for specific Sales Org and customer Country and NOT for ALL sales orgs.. This field is present in the Item level copy control setting.
This will ensure Exchange rate will be based on "Billing date" and NOT from date copied from Sales order for that specific Sales org.
Can I write this validation in the Billing document User-exit -RV60AFZC to achieve this functionality? Or there would be some Configuation required?
If anyone has worked upon this kind of requirement or know the method to achieve this, can you please help me?
    Thanks in advance.
    Umesh Karane.

In that case, you can try with  USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP.  Alternatively, you can also add this logic to your existing routine assigned in Delivery to Billing copy control against the field "Data VBRK/VBRP".  Similarly, for all such copy controls as you mentioned.

  • Exchange rate is redetermined during sales document copy

    Dear expert,
When we copy a quote, CRM re-determines the exchange rate based on the today's date.It does not keep the exchange rate and exchange rate date which were used
in the original quote. I can't change the exchange rate date in order to have the same date than in the original quote.
Is there a way I could achieve this?

Else ask the users what exchange rates they maintained for those months and upload the exchange rates for those months.

  • Exchange rate should be a fixed rate instead of the updated financial rate.

For import and reconciliation purposes the used exchange rate should be a fixed rate in stead of the updated financial rate.
Customer want to use  u20AC 1 = $1.25 from now on as fixed rate for products validated in Euro in his system to convert into USD on  commercial invoice and or shipping invoice for shipments going into the US.
    Thanks in advance
    Jeewnath

What is the exchange rate type used?  I think we can do it by exchange rate type M.
    Thanks

System will determine the exchange rate type based on value maintained in exchange rate table.Tcode OB08.
It will post the difference if any in the GL mentioned in transaction event key KDM in tcode OBYC.

I have a problem while creating a RE Sales order.
    Error is :
Exchange rate of USD in INR for date 21.07.2006 could not be determined
    Help will be appreciated.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Pls check the following things:
In the customer master >sales area data> sales tab page, check what is the exchange rate type maintained. Default is "M".
Now, go to SPRO>General Settings>Currencies>Enter exchange rates and under this node, check the value for USD to INR for the Echange rate type maintained in the customer master.
For the date mentioned, the exchange rate might be missing here.
    Hope, this helps!

  • Exchange Rate fixed in PO but still difference in GRN

    Dear All,
We are using exchange rate indicator fixed in Purchase Order but still value for custom duty in GRN is calculated as per the exchange rate maintained in OB08 for the date of posting the GRN.
PO created 31.03.2015 with document date as 30.03.2015 so that exchange rate is picked for previous date and fixed indicator ticked.
Custom invoice posted with exchange rate as in PO.
    GRN posting date - 31.03.2015
But while posting GRN, custom duties are calculated as per exchange rate on 31.03.2015 instead of exchange rate maintained in PO.
Custom duty value 333.40 USD is calculated as 307.75 in GRN.

  • Exchange rate wrongly picked

    Hi Gurus,
My client has a SO dated 01.06.2009.The exchange rate last maintained was on 24.08.2008.On 21.08.2009, just before doing the billing document they changed the currency table and then they made the billing document. But in FI document the currency that is picked as on the order date i.e. as per the maintenance of the 24.08.2008.It should take the rate maintained on 21.08.2009. What date it takes the order date or the billing document while picking the exchange rate?

    Hi Siddiqui,
Its really long since I posted this forum. In the mean I was assigned another task with highest priority. So I was very late in responding you. You are right. In fact in the OBBS screen following is the configuration-
    ExRt=M,From=EUR,To=INR,Valid from=01.01.1999,Ratio from=1,Ratio to=1,AltERT=EURX and
    ExRt=M,From=EUR,To=INR,Valid from=01.01.1800,Ratio from=1,Ratio to=1,AltERT='_'(blank)
What it means? If I put another entry as
ExRt=M,From=EUR,To=INR,Valid from=24.08.2009,Ratio from=1,Ratio to=1,AltERT=' '(blank) then every things works fine.
But I don't know the logic of this. Please explain me. You will be awarded good points.
