  • Applications can't send email via exchange

We are running exchange 2007 and 2013. Some applications such as Symantec Backup Exec and Piceswork can't send the notification to our internal users and external users. I tried to add the server IP addresses to the relay, but that doesn't fix the problem.

  • Problem sending emails with exchange server

    Hello,
I have a MacBook pro OS X 10.9.2 and I am unable to send emails through Mail (I have an exchange account). Everything was working well until yesterday: I could send and receive emails through my exchange account using Mail. I can still receive all my messages but I can't send anything now.
My internet connexion is fine, and I am able to connect to my exchange account on internet. I also have an ipad and I don't have any problem sending/receiving emails. Can somebody help me with this issue ?
Thanks a lot in advance !

  • Cannot send email from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013 - Coexistence

    Existing Exchange 2007 SP3 1 MBX, 2 CAS/HT, 2 ET servers.
I have added an Exchange 2013 server with MBX/CAS role.
Email will flow from Ex2013 server no problem.  Mail from Ex2007 systems cannot deliver to Ex2013 boxes, it dies in queue with a 4.4.7 expired message after issuing a delay message.
I can telnet to ports 25, 587,717,465,475, and 2525 from Ex2007 HT role to new Exchange 2013 server.  I can send email from Ex2007 HT role server to new Exchange 2013 server using telnet to port 25.
A ‘get-mailbox’ from the Ex2007 HT role server returns the server and database properly on the test users on Exchange 2013 server.
The only strange thing I am seeing is from the Ex2007 systems, a ‘get-exchange server’ command shows the new Ex2013 server as role ‘16439’ which looks to perhaps be normal.
Why is email not flowing to the new users on Exchange 2013?

You should have exchange server authentication ticked in Default Receive connector in Exchange2007.
Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 in the same subnet/network. if not please check any spam agent running between the networks. Are you running antispam on Exchange2013 ?

  • Sending email using Exchange ActiveSync

I had no problems setting up my first generation iPhone to connect to my employer's Exchange server using activesync. Autodiscovery worked fine, and email is pushed to me over a wifi connection (I am currently on vacation in a hotel in Mexico, so have only wifi, not cellular access).
However, I cannot send email; as soon as I try I get 'Cannot Send Mail. An error occurred while delivering this message'. The message just sits in the outbox on my phone. It does not appear anywhere - the outbox, or anywhere else - on my desktop (mail.app via IMAP) view of the server.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Never mind... it turns out that policies on the Exchange server were stopping me from sending any email because my account was over quota. The generic error message on the Phone was no help at all - but when I tried sending email from the Exchange Web Client, I got a more helpful error message, and was able to go clear out some old attachments, and now it all works.
I'm away from my office at the moment, and using a 3rd party SMTP server for mail relay - and even at work, because I use SMTP to send email, I'm not sure that I get that error message (my account was well over quota, so this didn't happen recently, I don't think) - but because the iPhone is doing things 'the exchange way' it catches the error; it just doesn't do anything very helpful with it.

  • VPN Connected Users cannot connect to the internet or send email

I just upgraded to Xserve G5 Dual 2.3 GHz 2GB SDRAM and a 3.5 TB Xserve RAID Running OSX Server 10.4.7.
Used to run G5 Tower running OSX Server 10.3.9.
    Running as a Standalone Server.
Everything seems to be running smoothly other that the fact that users connecting through VPN can no longer connect to the internet while connected through VPN nor can they send email. (I assume it's the same issue).
Wondering if password type is the issue. In 10.3.9 Workgroup Manager User password types were Open Directory for my vpn users. Previous Server was Standalone Server with Open Directory running, but not setup (weird I know.) 10.4.7, Open Directory for password is not an option... only shadowed password.
Not running any Open Directory services other than Lookup Server: Running and NetInfo Server: Local Only.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unless otherwise informed, a connecting client will send ALL traffic via the vpn. Ideally you only want to route traffic applicable to the VPN and for any other traffic (browsing and external email) to go via your local 'normal' router. You can configure the VPN server to inform connecting clients about applicable VPN traffic...
Example: the network you are vpn'ing into is 192.168.0.0/24
In Client Information-> Network Routing Definition, add 2 routes:
    Address: 192.168.0.0
    Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Type: Private
    Address: 0.0.0.0
    Mask: 0.0.0.0
    Type: Public
A connecting client will incorporate this routing information when connecting and thereafter send all traffic for the 192 network through the VPN (private) but send all other traffic (the catchall 0.0.0.0) to their local default router (public). Make sure you have them in that order (catchall at bottom).

  • HT3748 Can't receive or send emails on Exchange using Mail 5.3 (and system 10.7)

I have two Macs, one running on 10.6 and the other on 10.7 systems. I can receive and send Exchange emails on the 10.6 (mail 4.6) computer but not from the 10.7 (Mail 5.3) computer. The Account summary and set up is the same but I can not receive or send. I checked the account activities, all green. Checked the connection doctor, all green. Deleted adn re created the email account, the server accepted, yet I am still can't receive or send emails from the computer with 10.7 system. Any suggestions.

Hi Latoque,  yes I did try to change it in both places but it doesn't seem  to retain it for the Outgoing server. When I go to Preferences> Account information,  the Incoming server password it very obvious but the Outgoing server password is not. While still on the Account information page I go down to the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): section and click on the two V's at the end of the entry and then click on the Edit SMTP Server List.....I then click on Advanced tab and enter the Outgoing password there below my User Name. I believe I am entering it in the correct place however it does not stay there and there is no reminder to Save when you exit the page. Please correct me if I an not entering the  password in the right place. Thanks

  • Send email with exchange server

I am able to receive email on my phone through my work MS exchange server, but I can not send.  Others using different phones (IPHONE) are able to receive and send.  Any suggetions?

I would have to agree with bearone21, double check your server settings with your IT department.  More importantly, check the outgoing settings. Confirm the settings are correct in the phone.
You can find the steps here
Is there anyone else at your place of business that has a Droid? Are they having the same problem sending email?
If you need to, you can remove the email address from the Droid X and set it up again.

  • Sending email using Exchange 2013 defined email addresses not the account email address.

Currently we are using exchange 2013. Let's say a user has a mailbox account defined that has a default email reply address of [email protected] Now I define additional email address for the same account. When the user tries to send an email he can only send from
the default email address. Is it possible to send from a defined email anndress and not the default account email address?
    Best Regards

    Not natively with Exchange.
You will need 3rd party software if you want to have only one mailbox and the ability to send as any of the proxy addresses associated with it
    Example:
    http://www.ivasoft.biz/choosefrom2007.shtml
Not sure if Exchange 2013 is supported with it yet

  • Unable to send emails with exchange

I have set uip exchange on my Iphone5, I can receive emails but not send them, it says "recipient r4ejected by server" I have tried this with several email addresses. Should I set the exchange account up as an Imap, if I do it wont sync

    Hi there n2tck!
I have an article for you that can help you troubleshoot this issue with your email account on your iPhone. The article can be found right here:
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3899
Specifically, you may want to try the last step:
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
If that doesn't do the trick, you might want to follow the advice at the end of the article:
If you're still unable to send or receive email, contact your email provider and verify the account settings are correct. You will need to gather this information (PDF).
Hope that helps. Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

  • Set time restriction for specific user to send email via exchange server

Is it possible with Exchange server to limit certain users to sending their mail (Outlook/Exchange) only between designated
    times? Thanks.
    Babu

    Hi Babu,
Based on my knowledge, Exchange has no built-in function to restrict some users sending their messages in a period of time. Your understanding will be appreciated.

  • Send email as Exchange Aliss

My Exchange account includes many aliases. Is it possible to send as an alias email account from the iPhone?

You can do this through standard output control in MM.  Define the medium as 5 (external Send).  Configure your system for email (transaction SCOT), and define the conversion rules.  The standard is OTF to PDF.  You do not have to program anything.   If you really want to do this all through program, here is what you have to do.
When calling OPEN_FORM, in the options parameter set the flag for the field TDGETOTF.
When calling CLOSE_FORM get the otfdata .
    Call the 'CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF'
Call one of the download FM / cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download, and download the PDF file.

  • Connecting exchange 2010 in network A to send email to Exchange in Network B

Test environment - we have this exchange server in 192.x.x.x domain A.
There are 10 mailboxes on this test server which needs to forward emails to 10 mailboxes to the exchange server in 10.x.x.x Prod.
Whats the best way to connect these together.  This is a temporary testing scenarios …no forest trusts nothing.
    thanks in adv.

If both SMTP addresses are not same
Option 1. Configure a relay between these exchange servers
    Create a relay domain. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676395(v=exchg.141).aspx
Create a new receive connector and add the IP of the exchange server(192.x.x.x.) to allow relay .
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232021.aspx
    Get-ReceiveConnector yourconnectorname | get-ADPermission -User “NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON” -ExtendedRights
Option 2. Create 10 mail contacts in the test environment and do a forwarding to the newly created mail contacts on each mailbox
