Hi,
I have required a guidance for troubleshooting of Exchange Server 2013, If is there any manual like to check the server health, Check the roles health (MB CAS HT), check the user mailboxes activity, NDR etc. then pls share with me.

In Exchange 2013, there are some cmdlets that can be used to test health and functionality of your server.
The cmdlets themselves have descriptive names such as Test-Mailflow, Test-MAPIConnectivity, Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity, and so on. You can see the full list by using Get-Command in the Exchange Management Shell.
Get-Command -Verb Test
As you can see after you run this command, there are quite a lot of test cmdlets available for administrators to use.

    Dear All,
    I cannot connect to my Exchange account in Outlook 2013 using "Microsoft Exchange Server or Compatible Service".
    First I would like to present my network environment, I have 4 physical servers;
    The first one is holding the Domain Controller 1, IP@: 192.168.1.10
    The second server is holding the additional Domain Controller which it is DC2, IP@: 192.168.1.11
    The third server is holding the Exchange 2013 Mailbox, IP@: 192.168.1.15
    And the last server is holding the Exchange 2013 CAS-HT, IP@: 192.168.1.16
    I am doing the steps below:
    1-Creating a new profile in outlook and start configuring the exchange account by entering the IP address of the Exchange-CAS Server, 192.168.1.16
    2-entering the account name: [email protected]
    3-Go to "More Settings" > "Connection" > "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" > and entering the "Exchange Proxy Settings"
    4-type the exchange CAS Server URL, https://192.168.1.16
    5-Check the "Connect using SSL Only"
    6-Authentication Settings: "NTLM Authentication", and pressing Apply
    7-When I press the "Check Name" button, a message occurred> "The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action".
    8-I go back to the "Exchange Proxy Settings" and I Uncheck the "Connect using SSL Only" and pressing Apply
    9-i press the "Check Name" Button, a small window occurred to enter a Username and Password, so I enter the Administrator username and the administrator password and pressing "OK", but nothing is changed, I tried to enter my
    username and password in the small window and I still got the same result.
    I cannot verify the account name and I cannot complete the process.

    To narrow down the cause, I’d like to recommend the following troubleshooting:
    1. Try to login the test account through OWA.
    2. Check the Autodiscover settings: get-clientaccessserver |fl autodiscoverserviceinternaluri
    3. Check the result of directly accessing the following URL:
    https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

  • Unable to connect to MS Exchange server on ipad4 after upgrade to iOS 7.1.2

    I received a new iPad 4 through work.  Upgraded to iOS 7.1.2, but now I'm not able to connect to the Exchange server.  Contacted IT through work, they have no idea how to correct it.  They say all of my settings are fine.  The error message says "Cannot Get Mail   The connection to the server failed."  Any thoughts?

    It may help to remove and readd the account on your device.
    Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Tap the affected email account.
    Tap Delete Account.
    Add your account again.

    Testing and watching the behavior of Send As, Send On Behalf and Full Access permission.
    Common issue and Troubleshooting on the three permission.
    [Testing and Watching]
    Based on following blog, I decide to test on my lab:
    Full Mailbox Access Rights + Send On Behalf = Send As ?

    Senders: A01, A02, … , A07, A08
    Recipient: A09
    A01 grand permission to other senders.
    Two methods:
    a. Use A0x’s credential configure A01’s profile, then send From both A01 and A0x via Outlook. Watching result in A09’s Inbox and Sent Items which has message copy left.
    b. Use A0x’s credential configure A0x’s profile, then send From both A01 and A0x via Outlook. Watching result in A09’s Inbox and Sent Items which has message copy left.
    Result as following forms:
    1. Exchange 2010 + Outlook 2010 / Exchange 2013 + Outlook 2013
    Using A0x’s credential configure A01’s mailbox, then send From both A01 and A0x

    [Common Issue]
    1. [Issue]
    Exchange 2010 + Outlook 2010. A01 grand A03 Send As permission. However A03 can’t send as A01 to A09 and get NDR:
    You can’t send a message on behalf of this user unless you have permission to do so. Please make sure you’re sending on behalf of the correct sender, or request the necessary permission. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

    1) Based on the NDR, it seems a permission issue. Check Send As permission, however the Send As permission configured correctly. Pic as below:
    2) ince the Send As permission configured correctly, it seems the permission hasn’t been replicated. Try to restart Microsoft Exchange Information Store service. It works.
    Note: The Send As permission isn’t granted until after replication has occurred. Replication times depend on your Exchange and network configuration. To grant the permission immediately, stop and then restart the Microsoft Exchange Information
    Store service.
    2. [Issue]
    Exchange 2013 + Outlook 2013. A01 grand A03 Send As permission. However A03 can’t send as A01 to A09 and get NDR:

    Details as below:
    [Troubleshooting]
    1) Also check the Send As permission configuration first.
    2) Then try to use A03 send as A01 to A09 via OWA. If OWA works well, it seems and issue on the Outlook client side.
    3) This behavior may occur if the OAB in Outlook isn’t updated. Try to download OAB manually.
    4) If doesn’t work, please close Outlook and try to delete all the OAB folder on your computer. The path of OAB folder in Win7, Win8 as below:
    \Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books
    5) Restart Outlook.
    Note: Be aware that you cannot send e-mail messages on behalf of a mailbox if the mailbox is hidden from address list. When sending a message, Exchange requires that e-mail address is resolved in the
    From field.
    3. [Issue]
    Exchange 2010. A01 grant A0x “Send As” or “Send on Behalf” permission. A0x send as/ send on behalf of A01. The message is only copied to the Sent Items folder in A0x’s mailbox (same as the result of my test). Also cannot configure Exchange 2010 so that the
    message is copied to the Sent Items folder of both A01 and A0x.
    [Troubleshooting]
    This issue occurs because Exchange server 2010 was designed to copy message to the Sent Items folder of the sender only. This issue can be solved by installing Exchange 2010 SP2 UR4. More details in the following KB:

  • Exchange Server 2013 - SChannel errors KB2992611

    Hi,
    At a customer we have Exchange 2013 setup on a Windows Server 2012 R2 virtual machine.
    Last weekend we installed the latest patches and since then we are experiencing some errors regarding TLS. The System Eventlog is full of events from SChannel with ID 36887 saying: "A fatal alert received from the remote endpoint. The TLS Protocol defined
    fatal alert code is 40." 
    When I search the internet I immediately found this topic: http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2992611/en-us stating it had something to do with KB2992611 being installed.
    This stated that I should download the update KB3018238. But I can't seem to download this KB for Windows Server 2012 R2. I searched the internet, the Microsoft Update Catalog, etc.
    Any ideas on where I could find this KB for 2012 R2?

    Depending on my research, KB3018238 is for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012. KB2992611 only add the new cipher suites to Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012. KB3018238 is used to remove the new cipher.
    For your question, I want to double confirm whether client failed connect to Exchange server with error. Please post relevant error, it’s more helpful for further troubleshooting.
    Please check if the cipher suits used by the server and client are matched. Besides, There have a few Schannel updates in the last couple months, for example KB3011780. We can install it in Windows Server 2012 R2 for test.

  • Fresh install of Exchange Server 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Blank screen after install

    Attempting to log in to the OWA I get a white screen immediately after entering credentials
    When I open the Exchange Management Shell I get the error

    Along with the above error it also says Access is denied 
    Im running the Exchange shell as admin 
    There were no errors during the install and I did everything according to the Exchange Server Deployment Assistant 
    At first when I attempted to log in it would say my credentials were incorrect
    This is part of a active directory set up and I fulfilled all of the active directory piece.

    According your post, I understand that open EMS with error “AccessDenied,PSSessionOpenFailed” after fresh install Exchange 2013.
    If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
    Please follow below steps for troubleshooting:
    1. Reboot the server, usually fixes this error.
    2. Make sure your authentication settings on your virtual directory for PowerShell is correct.
       Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, <Servername>, Sites, Default Web Site, PowerShell and in the right panel, scroll down to the Authentication module, then make sure that Anonymous access is disabled and Windows Authentication is
    enabled.
    3. Double check the configuration of HTTP binding on Default Web Site in Internet Information Services (IIS).
    4. Run Get-User Identity | FL *power* to check whether the current logged in user has remote powershell enabled.
    If the issue persists, please try to remove the PowerShell virtual directory and renew for testing.

    Hi Ahmet,
    I recommend you check the Exchange setup log and post the error information, it may give us some hints to troubleshoot the issue.
    You can find the setup log file at <system drive>\ExchangeSetupLogs\ExchangeSetup.log.
    In addition, you can also check if there are any error/warning events in the
    Application log of Event Viewer on computers which related to exchange setup.

  • Exchange server 2010 exchange server 2013 sp1 2 servers one domain

    Scenario : Existing Server - Small Business Server 2011 with exchange 2010 \ Additional server on domain server 2012 r2 with exchange 2013 sp1 \ exchange 2013 sp1 installed on the second server but the exchange toolbox snap in fails, EAC login credentials
    will not log on, and the shell tries to log onto the exchange 2013 with access denied error but then logs into the existing 2010 exchange server. Any suggestions on how to get these two installs of exchange to play nicely? reasoning is to eventually migrate
    everything over to the new exchange.

    Based on my experience, here are some troubleshooting:
    1. Check if all your Exchange 2013 services are working properly.
    2. Check if the login account is a member of Exchange management group. You can try another admin account.
    3. Check your event log and find if there is any error.

    Appears to be a wifi connection problem. Did it work prior to the iOS update?
    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Since it's a company wifi, you won't be able to do many of these.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
    Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
    You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • Trying to connect a home computer using Outlook 2013 to my business Exchange server 2010.

    I have a new Dell XPS with Outlook 2013 installed and the native email client installed. I was able to enter in my exchange 2010 credentials to the native email client and it worked. when I try to enter the credentials for Outlook 2013 I received an error
    message.
    "the name cannot be resolved. the connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.
    outlook must be online or connected to complete this action"

  • Exchange Server 2007 OWA users can receive email but can't send

    Hi,
    I have an Exchange server 2007 in an SBS 2008 environment with POP3 connector configured and working fine , smtp send mail connector configured. 
    Now users can connect to OWA, receive email but cant not send.
    smtp connector works fine from Outlook client. Tried to track the emails from exchange server management console and I get the
    SEND DELIVER SUBMIT TRANSFER.
    The emails go to the sent items folder, but it never reach the recipients.
    Have been troubleshooting for a while without succes. Any help will be most appreciated.

    POP3 is a single mailbox client mail retrieval protocol, not a mail transport protocol. 
    Any attempt to use it as a mail transport protocol is a great big kludge. 
    Exchange is designed to connect to the Internet using SMTP.
    No version of Exchange has a POP3 connector.

    In your posting, the MSExchangeRepl.exe process keeps increasing on the server. The Microsoft Exchange Replication service provides replication functionality for mailbox databases on Mailbox servers in a database availability group. Please check whether
    there is any back up program in your Exchange server. Also confirm if there is any Anti-virus program installed in your Exchange server.
    In Event Viewer, please check the event log for the MSExchangeRepl source and collect any further information for troubleshooting.

    Hi there
    Can anyone please help with my E75.
    I have had the phone over a year and since day 1 it has syncd perfectly well with my Outlook at work.
    Until a couple of days ago!!!
    Since then, it has refused to sync my calendar and contacts. It is still syncing e mail but about half way through the syncing process (once it has synced the e mails) I get the error message “exchange server not responding – please try later”.
    I have asked my work IT helpdesk but they have said speak to the mobile provider. They also said there’s nothing wrong with their servers but I got the feeling they hadn’t really checked.
    My problem is that I don’t know where to start.
    Is the problem to do with:-
    My phone?
    Its settings?
    Orange’s servers?
    My work’s servers?
    Nokia’s servers?
    I’m confused – please help.
    Ps I can’t believe it is my phone's settings as I haven’t changed these and it worked fine for a year. And, anyway, my credentials must be ok because it is still syncing my e mails.

    Your only subscribing to the NewMail event on public folder I would suggest at least for testing you subscribe to the CreateItem, MoveItem, DeleteItem events as well to see if other event fires when you create and delete Items in the folder. You might also
