Exchange Upgrade but still no ADSL2+

Hi All,
I have had the your line has been upgraded email ect... so i have been trying to get it to connect at ADSL2+ modulation but no luck so far! I have been on the phone to BT help for ages to which they are sure ADSL2+ is enabled on my line.
I am still in the 10 day period but it has not once tried to coneect at ADSL2+!
Have i got no chance because of line stats or do i need to get hold of the right person at bt to get ADSL2+ sorted.
I have a billion 7800n router so it can do adsl2, adsl2+, g.dmt modulation etc... Best i can get is 2350kbps down and 412kbps up.
Any advice would be greatly received.

after getting the email about the upgrade it can be immediate/days/week/months before you are actually upgraded. you can try the uk sales 08007830056 to try and get it quicker but that will probably need you to agree a new contract. you can also try the mods http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951
with your attenuation and +2db after 21CN upgrade I will doubt if you get any speed increase but the new 21CN bring a more aggressive system on noise so what was a good line on adslmax is not necessarily a good line on 21CN.
you can check potential speed here remembering to add 2db to your existing 63db for 21CN adsl2

Exchange Upgraded But Still No Change

Hi,
As far as I can tell my exchange was upgraded to ADSL2+ back in 2010 yet I still appear to be on a upto 8mbps service.
I was able to accurately check my line length a while back and it's less than 800m. So it's a bit frustrating to be getting slower than achievable speeds.
Is there any chance this can be rectified?

I'm not sure this can be fixed without the help of anyone at BT as my QOS/Line Profile will need to be amended.

I have recently changed the HH for a netgear as the HH was intermittantly switching off. (which is there may be historic instability).
I don't have a problem with throughput (although it is lower proabably thanks to Vision). It's the Sync rate I have a problem with. I'm about 800m from the Exchange and synched at 8mbps.
I haven't recieved an email from BT about my exchange, I'm going off Sam Knows

Why not? We can not see you so you have to give us details
Did you run the iPhoto Library upgrader after you installed it - if not backup your iphoto library and go to the utilities folder in your Applications folder and double click on the iphoto library upgrader and RUN i - then launch iphoto 9.6 to complete the upgrade

Exchange upgraded but no ADSL2+

I can see quite a few threads like this so apologise for repeating but I've got nowhere calling BT and would really like to get ADSL2+ on my line.
My exchange (Radnage) has been upgraded to 21CN according to the BT Wholesale dsl checker but my router is connecting with G.DMT at around 8 meg with a noise margin of 11dB and attenuation 24dB. I've called BT twice asking to be upgraded but both times have been told to wait for an indefinite period of time. The second time I spent 20 minutes on the line just to be told what samknows has on their site. This worries me as it appears from other similar threads that the wait may be long indeed.

once an exchange is upgraded it can take from a few days to several months before lines are moved over as they are moved in batches you may be able to jump the queue by recontracting but normally it is a matter of waiting for an email from BT (sent to your master BT email address ) to advise you when the change will take place

BT Exchange upgrade - Homehub still shows as ADSL1...

Hi,
I've had an email last week saying my line would be upgraded today as the exchange has been upgraded. My router was reset earlier but my home hub stats still appear to be showing plain old ADSL. I was under the impression the modulation should show ITU-T G.992.5 and my upstream speeds would improve slightly, but everything seems the same as before. Do I need to do anything at my end for the changes to take place? The hub is a recently fitted 2.0A to replace a faulty 2.0B hub if that is of any help.

Hi, I did try a search but it seams that others with a similar issue resorted to contacting the mods to resolve this after being told various things. I'm trying to be patient, but after receiving another email this morning from bt...

This is to let you know that we've now upgraded your line and you should now have an improved, more consistent broadband connection, and maybe a speed increase.

Which is great news but the router still shows ADSL Max even after a reset so I'm still not showing any benefits of the exchange upgrade. Has anyone else had this letter and what were your experiences in the upgrade process. There is a lot of confusion over this but I can't find anything definitive. Do I need to contact a mod or is the initial process for after the upgrade for the modem to have a number of successful days connection before it changes? I'm sure someone out there knows.

I called the helpline earlier, asking if I needed to be switched over to an ADSL2+ profile, but was just given the usual 'wait 10 days' resonse.

you are still on adslmax. have you had an email from BT advising you about the upgrade? If not it could be months before BT roll out 21CN to all users. You could try uk sales 08007830056 and see if they can help but may have to agree a new contract - gives chance to negotiate a new monthly cost

'Upgraded' but still on plain old ADSL (G.992.1)

I received a service upgrade notice via e-mail way back in January, and on the appointed date my stable ADSL download speed duly increased from about 3 to just under 5 Mbits /sec.
However I notice from my Home Hub 2 Settings page that the connection is still ITU-T G.992.1, so despite an upload noise margin of 23.0 dB, upload speed is stuck at 448 Kbps.
What's happened? Why don't I have ADSL 2 or ADSL 2+?

if you received the email advising your exchange was being upgraded to 21CN in January I would have expected your connection to have been done by now. It does get rolled out in stages but 6 months is longer than I would expect.

Upgraded but still can't open file

I wanted to print a PDF file; it opens to a note that says i need to upgrade. I did follow the link and it says it is already in my downloads but I can't still open the PDF file.

Downloading Reader is one thing. INSTALLING it is another entirely. You NEED to run the installer form your downloads folder.

Mailboxes are moved to Exchange 2007 but still appearing in exchange 2003 With Red Cross

I am moving mail boxes from exchange 2003 to exchange 2007 sp1. Excahnge 2007. After the mailboxes
are moved successfully to exchange 2007 i can still see some mailboxes in exchange 2003 with red mark on them. Please check the attached snapshot.

Exchange upgraded and still waiting for faster spe...

I've had around 7mbps from the Brixworth exchange for years. The exchange was upgraded a few months ago. My next door neighbour is with PlusNet and gets around 13mbps; he received a letter from PlusNet straight after the exchange was upgraded and got the higher speed then.
If I apply as a new customer on the BT website it says I will get 13mbps as "BT will always give customers the fastest possible speed". I've tried BT online chat and calling BT support. I get told different incorrect things each time.
Does anyone know when I should expect to get upgraded to get the higher speed now available on the Brixworth exchange?

I've spent another hour on the phone to BT, being bounced between sales ("it's a technical issue") and technical ("its a sales issue"). Nobody understands the issue including: "it's only 6mbps - it's not that much different" and "we only gaurantee 1mbps". Nobody understands that it just needs an engineer to visit the exchange and upgrade me the same as PlusNet did months ago with my next door neighbour.
I give up. I'll wait until by contract expires in October and then transfer both landlines in the house to a provider who actually cares about its customers.

Eligible for upgrade but still problems

I have really been excited about getting the new iphone and thought I would be upgrade eligible just in time. I have an annual contract that has been telling me forever that I am eligible for a "discounted upgrade" on January 31, 2011. So now that it's the 31st I check and it now tells me I am eligible for the discounted upgrade. When I clicked on it I am only given the option to upgrade at full retail price. I don't understand what's going on. Anybody else ever had this trouble? Is it something to do with the 1-year contracts?

I lost my contacts and mail folders on my exchange server but they are still on my MAC. How can I resync?

I run both a MAC and a PC with two different mail clients Entourage vs. Outlook. I have never had a problem with the clients syncing with the Exchange server until I did an archive of all emails in outlook that were older than this year. Now some subfolders have disapeared on the PC and the Exchange server but still show up in Entourage. How can I resync Entourage to the Exchange and have Exchange server "accept" the Entourage folders as correct?
Also I use an Iphone and backup to the icloud. So why did my contacts disapear from the iphone and are not restored via icloud? The missing contacts also disapeared from exchange.
