I have an iphone 4s I bought on October 2013 , i want to exchanged for an iphone 5 or 5 s , so,can apple receive my 4s for the value of the iphone 5 or iphone 5s ?

If the phone is less than a month old, see if you can simply return it for a refund, then buy the new one.

With a year left in your contract, that would imply that your phone is already a year old. Within the first 30 days of purchase, you can reurn a phone under the "buyers remorse" clause, but after that, your best option is to try to sell your old phone to buy a new one.
With one year left on your contract, you would also not qualify for the "new discount" pricing, so you either pay the full price, or pay the "new discount" plus $250 and get a new 2 year contract. This would mean that the 16GB iPhone 4S wouldn't cost you $199, but in fact $449 and you would have a new 2 year contract starting the day of your new purchase.

I've given myself second thoughts, and concluded that the white iPhone 5 would be for me. When I called apple to ask for a change in color of the iPhone on the order, they said it couldn't be done unless I'd have canceled it. They suggested that I should go to Verizon when I receive my iPhone and ask if it would be possible to exchange my black iPhone for a white one. So, is it possible?

Doubtful. I personally think black looks much much better, but if you still want white I suppose you could sell it and buy a black one. Who knows, you might be able to exchange though, but I would be surprised.

When is it possible to exchange your iPhone 4s for an iPhone 5s? After 3 years, my iPhone 4s is no longer working and I have tried everything, including going to the apple store to get it repaired. It will not sync with the music I have on my laptop: new or deleted, and it also skips through songs on itunes on my iphone. It has greyed out songs and won't play any of them. It also changes randomly from vibrate to ring on and off without me touching the switch on the side. It's like my phone is possessed or something. I have tried everything and have decided to soon buy an iphone 5s. Can I get some sort of discount or exhange because the problem is out of my hands? Apple will exchange your defective iPhone for one of the same model for their standard out-of-warranty exchange price. They will not upgrade you to an iPhone 5S as part of that program. Apple does accept trade-ins toward purchase of a new iPhone through retail Apple Stores in the US. I've not seen the amount they will allow, so you'll need to talk to your local Apple Store. In a few other countries Apple also works with a company who will give you some return on an existing device; select your country as appropriate on this page:

Similar programs are available in a few other countries, and some dealers may have their own trade-in programs.
None, however, will give you much for a phone that has hardware issues, if they'll give you anything at all.

That would depend on who you bought the case from and their return policies. If you bought it from Apple, then you have fourteen days from date of purchase to return it. If you purchased from a dealer, you'll have to ask the dealer about a return.

Yep, that's the only message that popped out. Nothing else. Yes, it's running on the latest ios and I still can't restore it. I called apple and they told me it's probably something wrong with their servers. Anyway thanks for the advice.

Is your daughter's phone officially unlocked? If not, you won't be able to use any sim other than a sim from the carrier your daughter's phone is locked to. To do what you want, you need to get your daughter's phone officially unlocked. Once done, she can then purchase a local sim when she gets to France.

We want you to be happy with all aspects of your phone. If you are beyond the 14 day exchange period, you do have the option to trade in your device and use the trade in value towards the purchase of the phone color you prefer. Click for trade in values www.trade-in.vzw.com. When looking at the purchase price of the phone you would prefer, since you will not have an upgrade available, you will want to view the full retail cost.

If it is under 14 days old, you can return it to the Apple Store you purchased it from and get a refund and put that money towards an iPhone6. Otherwise you will need to sell it privately and put that money towards a newer phone.

Can I exchange my iPhone 5 for a new one?

I bought my iPhone 5 the day it came out (September 20, 2013) so I have had it for a little more than two years and it still works perfectly. I was just wondering how upgrades work in terms of me being able to trade in my iPhone 5 for a more recent model like the iPhone 6 and when and if I am able to do it. I haven't been to an Apple store in a while and I haven't had the time to, although I would imagine they would be able to answer my question easily.

To add to what AnyPats stated, Apple DOES (on occasion) purchase older devices for store credit (amount depending on the condition and memory size of the device). You would need to visit a retail store to see if your phone would be accepted.

Hey guys, I am with AT&T since november 2012...I am on a 2 year contract and got an iPhone 5...I am really enjoying the phone and iOS in general.
I have a question if I can exchange my current iPhone 5 for a brand new iPhone 5...I am still under 1 year factory warranty.
I was at my friends house one day...and by accident my phone fell from a 5th floor...it got a few dings...around the metal plated area...and I got really lucky because the phone lended on a grass...but some mud got stuck in a speaker area and the headphone jack area...

Why do you want to replace it? Is is defective? If there is a legitimate defect, Apple will replace it via warranty after evaluation. If you want to return the phone, I believe you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return it.
If you want to exchange it, sell your phone and buy another.

some retailers buy your phone and help u to put credit towards new iphone. if your iphone has accidental damage it will cost you 299 CAD dollars, if the only screen is broken it will cost 119 dollars. if the iphone is under warranty. i suggest you to replace the display first then. wait for the iphone to give you issues so that geniuses replace the iphonr for free

Today I had to exchange my iPhone 3G for the second time. That isn't a gripe, I'm thrilled Apple has been so responsive and flexible in working with me. (The issue had to do with a short in the headphone jack that would cause the unit to begin to play music when headphones were plugged in and sometimes unplugged, even on a locked/sleeping phone. Apple swapped them out no problem. I love these guys!)
I'm on my third phone. However, every time I plug in my phone, in iTunes, I get the "Welcome to your new iPhone" window with the "Continue" button. When I click it, it takes me to the normal iTunes window looking at the settings for my phone. But the thing is, it does this every time I plug in phone.
Any ideas? Some kind of cache or pref to clear/reset?
Another odd thing. The Genius said that the OS on the phone he was giving me was a newer build than on the phone I had turned in. But when I look at the build number and the build number of the one you can download they are the same. Was there a different build preinstalled on some 3Gs than on others or what was downloaded via iTunes for a restore?

For whatever weird reason, updating iTunes to 7.7.1 did the trick. It must have been some pref or cache thing that was overwritten with the update. While the question wasn't answered I guess it is fixed.
I'd still be curious to know about that build version difference the Genius mentioned.
