Exchanging Iphone 5 from white to black.

I just got the iphone 5 in white. I was number three in line to receive my iphone and when I got to the counter, they said they don't have any black 16 gig iphones. Can I exchange for a black iphone before my 14 days is up for free? or does it still cost the restocking fee? If it still cost, I would be happy to trade anyone that is getting a black one and wants the white.

I truly hope you're enjoying every moment of your new iPhone! Number 3 in line is pretty impressive! If you were to exchange your phone for a different color there would be a restocking fee of $35.00.
If you do exchange phones with someone, keep in mind that we wouldn't be able to honor the warranty directly. Of course you would still be able to receive warranty assistance directly from Apple for 1 year or longer if you get Apple Care.

Type Messages and Objects turned from white to black in PDF

When I exported my Keynote presentation to a PDF the Type Messages and Objects turned from white to black. The display in ”Preview” is ok but in Acrobat PDF Viewer it looks black instead of white. Only happens on some slides. I could not find a reason why this happened. Seemed kind of random to me when it happened. But the error was reproducable unless I rebuild it with new silides.

If you want all your pages to have a black background, make that background object a Section Master object too.
Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master.

Exchange iPhone 3g 16gig white to a Black 16 gig

I bought an iPhone 3g White 16gig on launch day (Friday July 11) at my local Apple Store . I was wondering if I can exchange my currnet phone to a Black 16 gig at my local Apple Store with no problems? I have the receipt which says I can return it on July 25.

HT1349 The iPhone 4S setting (white on black) it is so cool! But one thing that I don't know if Apple is aware of this glitch or not, but they need to fix it, when you go to that mode every picture and every icon go to negative view, has anyone experience

One very COOL feature on iPhone 4S that I just discovered, is the (White on Black) display mode, which is so cool and atrictive. When you go to that mode, every picture on the iPhone, facebook, icons and every other applications that displays a picture are effected, native or installed Apps. that displays a picture goes in to negative view, if you want to view your pictures, you have to go back to the default setting, very disappointing.
This is a very cool feature and Apple needs to find a way that all photos are immune and preserved from the conversion when a user switches to that mode.
Love to hear your comments and suggestions and I'm sure that Apple developers can come up with a solution to fix the glitch.

Hmmmm, http://www.seattlepi.com/ loads fine hear in 10.4.11, FF 3.6.8, but I do see it uses some kind of Flash.
The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

Yes if you add a reveal all layer mask (white) and want to turn it black (hide all) then Cmd+I (invert) or invert in the properties panel.

Edit background in iPhoto has changed from white to black

A friend of mine used to do all her editing in iPhoto '08 and has now got iPhoto '09. iPhoto '09 has a black background for editing pictures whilst iPhoto '08 had a white one, this change in background completely ruins her way of working as it's essential she has a white background to compare her image to while she is working on it.
Is the only solution to chuck out '09 and continue working with '08? I've spent much time searching on Google for an answer, I didn't believe they would have changed this without making it a preference or something.

It is what it is what it is.:( Submit a feature request to Apple to allow users set the edit background color as well as the thumbnail background color via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
To go back to iPhoto 08 you will need to start over from scratch. To to so launch iPhoto 08 with the Option key depressed and select new library from the next window.
Next, open the old iPhoto 09 library package in the Finder as follows:

Drag the Originals folder from that library into the open iPhoto 08 window to import all of the original files into the new 08 library.

Apple did this to us in iPhoto some time ago and had to add a preference for shades of grey other than white. Why didn't Apple learn from this mistake?

It is good to know I am not alone. The first thing I did after downloading iTunes 11 was go into preferences to change the background color. But alas, the option for a dark background is gone. I also was kind of disappointed in the lack of ability to resize the artwork, but not to the extent of some other commenters here.
I will say this though. I love the way the albums expand with custom colored backgrounds based on each album's artwork colors. This looks fantastic. Still it would be nice to accomodate those who prefer to use a dark background for the overall application's theme.
So, Apple, I join with my fellow users in requesting the return of resizable artwork, and the option for at least a dark (or an even further customizable) background color for the overall theme of the application. Thanks!

Hello, I'm a new user on these boards. My iphone 4 had the screen replaced a few weeks ago, and it's been fine. today, the screen turned white, then got grainy lines in it and turned black. When I plugged it into my PC it shows up in iTunes, but I can see nothing on the screen. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Of course it's not the quick fix lol. Sorry that didn't work for you, that is the only setting I'm aware that would cause that behavior. Hopefully someone else will assist if they know of another way that may happen. The next thing I would recommend is backing up the iPhone and then doing a reset.
