Exciting! BT Infinity being rolled out - could I h...

Hello,
I've been watching excitedly as the FTTC has been rolled all over our town (Ramsbottom) and the new Huawei cabs are being put in place. Hoorah. We are due to get Infinity in Q1 2011 and it's looking great. Our nearest cab is being installed today 30 metres away which is just brilliant news.
What I'm after is some photographic evidence of a typical installation inside the home. I've googled and googled and it's just not been done yet. This would be sooooo... useful for many of the peoples questions on this forum. As soon as Infinity is installed in my house, I will photograph it to help others. I'd like to see if possible:
The Faceplate from the front.
The Wire connecting the Faceplate to the VDSL modem in situ.
The ports on the VDSL modem close enough to read the writing.
The VDSL connection to the homehub (I'm not too interested in this as it's just a CAT-5).
I'm interested as to what the cable connection is between the Faceplate and VDSL really as this isn't clear from any instructions/manuals/diagrams. The photos on BT's site are just too small to be able to read the detail.
If someone could help, you'd make me very happy and even more excited!

  • BT Infinity - local Roll Out dates being rolled ba...

For most of 2011, our exchange (01684) was scheduled to be upgraded to Infinity by 31 Dec 2011, according to the checker on BT's own website. On 21 December 2011 I noted that that date had changed to 31 March 2012, even though today the BT page "See when it's available in your area" still states that the deadline is 31 Dec 2011, so clearly no one at BT is bothering to update that.
Planning requests to alter some green cabinets have been posted in the local paper, but there is no sign of any work taking place.
Posting a complaint to BT produced a reply which in effect says that the deadlines are flexible and dependent on when Openreach feel like getting round to the work, if at all. And even then, judging by numerous Forum posts, one's nearest cabinet might not be upgraded at all.
So it's all promises, promises. Is Infinity just a mirage outside metropolitan areas?

    Mike_Hunt wrote:
I had the same issue a week ago however it just decided that I can now have the Infinity instead of waiting till 31st March.
Not a great fan of all these different dates, id rather they just kept there promises and gave me infinity a month ago.
The dates aren't promises, they're estimations. The dates are set to the end of the current quarter but activation could happen at any time before that date (and of course after). Once a cabinet is almost ready to go live, usually about 10 days before you can place orders, the date on the checker will change.
As I'm sure you've read on the many posts on the forum there's many many reasons for delays, often outside of BT's control.

  • Enquiry about the March 31st Infinity roll-out.

After getting suitably frustrated at my slow connection earlier today when trying to download a game, I figured I'd check to see if Infinity is rolling out in my area soon..... even just looking for a date to look forward to. I see that Maldon is included in the March 31st rollout however...... I'm unsure whether this includes Heybridge. Heybridge and Maldon technically are the same area, it's complicated, I don't even fully understand it myself. I ask simply because things never go well when you assume, I'd rather ask this question and get a straight "no" then potentially get excited at the possibilty of something that's not going to happen.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • BT Infinity roll out plans under BD UK banner

    Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice or thoughts from the forum for the following question, excuse the rambling nature of the question.
BT have won the contract to deliver faster broadband in rural Gloucestershire and Herefordshire which now goes under the title of Fastershire.    The web site created states that its not possible to state when exchanges will be enabled for a variety of reasons so as consumers we simply have to wait to be told when.
However I assume as part of being awarded the contract and being able to state that 90% of properties would be completed by 2016 that a plan must exist with an approximate order in which exchanges will be enabled as part of the contracting process.
Do you think it ought to be possible or fair to request, in this case to know where my exchange. Tirley,  would be in the planned schedule for example first 10% ,   last 10% in the middle.
I have poor broadband speed due to the distance from the exchange and cannot easily work from home and if we are at the back of the queue I would look to make alternative provision moving away from BT (wireless options exsit but need a 2 year commitment and multiple subscribers in the locality)  until the rollout reaches the area.
    Appreciate any thoughts
    Simon

    Hi simon5705,
Openreach have been awarded the contact to install, rollout and manage the fibre infrastructure to Herefordshire and Gloucestershire between 2013 and the end of 2016.
The scheme has been set-up by Herefordshire Council and Gloucestershire County Council in partnership with BTplc (Openreach) to extend the rollout on-top of the "Superfast-Openreach" Commercial fibre broadband rollout.
As it is being rolled out, done and managed by Openreach as well being managed by Herefordshire Council and Gloucestershire County Council, BT Retail (a communication provider/ISP whom operates this forum) does not have much say as to when and if you will be able to get fibre broadband (FTTC or FTTP or equivalent) as that is up-to Openreach, Herefordshire Council and Gloucestershire County Council.
Looking at the fastershire FAQs here ( http://www.fastershire.com/questions-and-answers ) it states
" Fibre broadband is being rolled out across both Herefordshire and Gloucestershire between 2013 and the end of 2016. From summer 2013 you will be able to check maps on this website to see which phase of delivery your area is in, and you will also be able to put your postcode into our postcode checker to see if you can get it yet. This will also tell you which telephone exchange area you fall within. "
Also as it's a local council scheme you will need to contact them for information.
The contact email is [email protected] though they may not have finalised the plans yet.
    Hope that helps,
    Cheers

  • Belle Refresh Roll Out...

I know the Belle firmware update/refresh is being rolled out gradually, but does anyone know when the rollout is due to be completed?
I would expect by now that all Belle phones should have received the update but I haven't received anything yet.
I have also read about some new homescreen widgets for Belle users who have not yet received the Belle Firmware update, again I haven't received these.
Can anyone from  Nokia (or elsewhere) tellme when I might receive one or both of thses updates please?
My phone is an N8 on the 02 network in the UK
    Software version: 111.030.0609
    Version Date: 2011-11-26
    Custom Version: 111.030.0609.210.11
    Custom Version Date: 2011-01-16

    Hi Arkwright,
Sounds like if there will be a firmware update is being released for your product code, then it may be delayed as it hasn't been approved / worked on / tested by your network operator, O2. Your first point of call would be to contact O2 and ask if the Belle Refresh update will be made available for your N8. Failing that, it is best to contact your local Nokia Care point to ask about the availability of the update for your device.

  • Infinity roll-out kills Standard Broadband Service

BT have rolled out Infinity to my area and since the roll-out my Standard Broadband Service has deteriorated to an extent that BT have confirmed they can longer guarantee me that service (despite the fact they are still willing to charge me for it)! Anyone else been impacted in this way?  I've been told my only option to obtain Broadband is to pay for the more expensive Infinity.

Its not an issue in all areas, but the longer the distance from the cab, the more noticeable it is. Generally, if people are getting very low speeds due to distance, it does make sense for them to upgrade to Infinity, if its available.
I believe that the Infinity pricing is fairly competitive anyway.
Infinity has not really interested me because I get between 9-11Mb on my line, and I use broadband talk quite a lot.
My local connection is not perfect, and one of the two pairs into my house are faulty anyway, and the current pair does have a HR somewhere, which can show itself if the landline is not used for a week (no DC wetting, if you know what that means)
That can result in an occasional disconnection on an incoming PSTN call, but not enough to worry about.

What connection speed do you get at the moment?

  • Ever-Changing BT Infinity Roll-Out Dates

Living in Central Reading, we were pleased to see that BT Infinity was planned to be rolled-out to our area on 31st December 2010.  That was before Christmas and then the date changed to 31st March 2011.
I emailed BT and a helpful chap explained that the bad weather meant that repairs to damaged lines had taken priority over the roll-out of new services (fair enough) and that is why Central Reading would not be upgraded until 31st March 2011.
I now see that the date has moved yet again to 30th June 2011.  I wrote another email to BT and received a rather poorly written (grammar and spelling dreadful!) reply, advising that BT Infinity was not available in my area and that my interest had been registered - Absolutely no help at all and clearly my query had not been addressed.
I appreciate that many people are eagerly anticipating BT Infinity and are still further away from getting it according to the roll-out plan today but it is not unreasonable to expect a reply to a simple query and I have no faith in the 30th June 2011 date now...  I am fully expecting it to change in May and move back a further 3 months.
I can't be bothered to try and get another reasonable explanation from BT and have resigned myself to the fact that 40MB downloads here are unlikely....
    Disappointed!

  • BT Infinity Roll Out Dates - Keep Slipping - Why O...

I have been waiting for the roll out for 4 months now. When I checked the availability in May the telephone number checking program  said it would be available on June 30th. Then a few days before this date it slipped to September 30th. Now a few days ago it went back to 31st December. Why does this keep on happening ?

i have the same problem - even brought a super-duper-new win7 4core computer a month ago as my old xp 2xcore one may be too slow to cope with infinity.
it is either the demand they have for those who have infinity, or they are sending too many engineers sorting out the problems with the current system, and would not cope with the demand. on reading the other forums on here, i would say the latter is more apt, even if moving people to infinity may cure theother problems.
welcome to the world of last wednesday week.
there's now't wrong with 2 cans and a piece of string. at certain times, it is often faster.

  • Rolling out ADE to Open Access Computers in libraries

(In the UK). In Plymouth we are using Secure Electronic Delivery as the default to deliver access to documents provided by the British Library. Internet Explorer 7 (and this is also known with Firefox and other browsers) causes an ebook reader detection error as part of the downloading process "Downloading this eBook requires Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader version 2.2 or later to be installed on your computer" (even though all our computers are on Reader 7.0.9). The page then provides a link to download the latest version. The problem is that, despite being told to ignore the link and scroll to the 'download your ebooks' link further down the screen, many users are clicking the update link and ending up with Adobe Reader 8 without ADE, or a misfunctioning ADE because they do not have administrator rights, or a screen which hangs and does nothing, or an ADE that will not allow them to print. In open access areas all computers are locked to a standard 'frozen' image which is restored after each log-out. Users, therefore, are unable to save any changes which means that they also have to repeat the steps every time they want to download an SED everytime they log-in. (Yes, because of 'easy activation', we also have to make it clear to these users that it is 'download and then print' or there is no further access to the document, despite a 14day access rule; and no-use of memory sticks too!). We would love to be able to maintain our ability to standardise these computers on the latest version of the Reader software, but are unable to do so because we do not have the manpower to manually install ADE on each computer (over 2,500!) to make it part of the 'locked' image. We know the eBook Reader detection error is most probably caused by the underlying software technology difference between IE7 and Adobe 7 and would hope that installing Adobe Reader 8 and ADE would restore the seamless process that we had long established using the Reader 7 series!
Could not Adobe please consider a means by which, say ADE 1.5, could be packaged and rolled-out centrally? Then also consider doing the same for future releases - it would really make life easier for everyone. If not we will have to remain on Reader 7.0.9 and users will 'suffer' as the technology becomes more and more obsolete, and suffers from more and more problems caused by a widening gap in software technologies. We understand the idea behind the decision to make ADE an IRA (internet rich application) but the growing use of DRM and the need to delivery these documents within closed environments, to people who cannot be given full access permissions, means that there should also be a concurrent method to allow updating in such situations. Our 'problem' rate for SED is beginning to climb (from under 3% (based on 16,000 transactions) before the release of Adobe 8, to 6% afterwards (based on 7,000 transactions). Before the release of 8, 70% of the problems were because people didn't read instructions we provided; after 8's release, 70% of the problems are caused by the technologies (eBook detection; downloading Reader 8 and not ADE; ADE not functioning due to local permissions etc etc). These seriously affect the value of the service and also the perception people have of the service and of Adobe products (eg: the IE7 error states "Adobe eBook Reader not detected" so, even though your product may not be to blame for the users' inability to get to their document, they blame Adobe Reader, especially if they know they have Reader 7 installed!
My apologies for a long post but I consider it an important issue as well as it being important to lay out some of the logic and arguement as to why.
    Graham

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this long and accurate post. We are very much aware of this issue and are working as hard as we can to resolve this. It might not be possible to squeeze it into 1.5, but we will get to it as soon as we possibly can.
Can you submit a support incident at www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/ so we can try and resolve the immediate problem (incorrect detection and misleading message)? We can also discuss offline how your organization and our can work together to resolve the larger problem. Thanks.

  • BT INFINITY BEING MISSOLD

    BT PROBLEMS COMPLAINT NO VOL012-***********
I am in the throes of a number of problems concerning my ‘contracts’ with BT I shall try to be brief and to the point but there are numerous problems, all of BTs making.
On Saturday August 19 at approx. 9am I tried to access BT sport in order to see the first game of the season which involved Liverpool. I could not access channels. Rang for assistance and spoke to Jodie who informed me channels had to activated, I was not aware of this, I did not like her phone manner, she continually spoke over me, spoke to her supervisor Rachel, she informed me that in order to have any chance of seeing the game on TV that kicked off at 11.45 I needed to take out a new 12 month BT Sport contract. This was an ‘immediate’ contract that therefore could not be cancelled in a cooling off period. I agreed to the contract under duress as it was stated there was a good chance it would be activated in time for the game. The immediate contract stated activated within 15mins to 24 hours. I still don’t fully understand why I had to take out any new contract for a service that was advertised as FREE.
Needless to say the channel was not activated in time for the game, indeed as I will present evidence of later no attempt was made by BT to honour their ‘immediate’ contract. I received both telephone and email confirmation on Monday August 21 at 10.59 that the channel had only just been activated and that it would take 15 mins to 24 hours to access.
THIS IS IN BREACH OF CONTRACT TO THE ‘IMMEDIATE’ CONTRACT THAT I TOOK OUT ON THE BASIS THAT IT WAS 15MINS TO 24 HOURS FROM APPROX 9am SATURDAY.
Rachel further informed me that my best chance of seeing the game would be on my computer, but that in order to watch it on my laptop my wireless signal would not be sufficient and that I should purchase a 30 foot Ethernet cable to connect my hub to my laptop. This is the first time anyone at BT has told me that BT Infinity broadband is no good at delivering a wireless signal, and that I need to trail a 30 foot cable through my house! It is ridiculous to expect people to have a 30 foot cable to their laptop, I don’t even need it plugged into the mains, it is why I choose to have a laptop.. Indeed in a workplace this would not be allowed under Health and Safety regulations yet you expect two people nearly 70 years old to have such a cable trailing through their property.
I purchased the cable at a cost of £11 and at kick off given that the TV was inaccessible decided to try my laptop, connected first through wireless and the picture was rubbish, like watching a Charlie Chaplin film, connected with cable and got exactly the same result.
Rang Drew in Tech Support, asked me to run Speedtest, speed with wireless was 6, with cable 21, but no improvement in picture, he agreed the figure of 6 was poor and put it down to ‘teething troubles’ with Bt sport, I later lost the picture altogether.
BT INFINITY WAS UNWATCHABLE ON LAPTOP WHETHER CONNECTED WIRELESS OR VIA ETHERNET CABLE FROM HUB TO LAPTOP. AND I’M £11 OUT OF POCKET!
Tried to contact BT on Sunday but telephone quoted 30-40 mins for reply and 10 days for email reply.
On Monday when I tried to access TV all I could see was BBC1, no other channel.
Contacted Tech Support and spoke to Amin based in India, who seemed helpful. After over an hour he managed to restore the channels to my TV. My TV was giving a constant error message that the signal was too low and continues to do so.
After restoring the channels Amin asked me to run speedtest that again came back as 6, he again told me that was unacceptable said it could be the powerline transmitters, he said he would dispatch new transmitters and a new remote, ordered them as we spoke and told me they would be delivered on Wednesday, asked me to fit them and he would call back between 3pm and 5pm Wednesday, if they did not improve the service he was then going to order a FREE engineer visit.
THE PARTS DID NOT ARRIVE, AMIN DID NOT RETURN CALL, NO MESSAGES WERE LEFT. I STAYED IN ALL DAY WEDNESDAY AND AM SEEKING COMPENSATION FOR MY TIME AND THE APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LACK OF MANNERS. PLEASE INVESTIGATE WHETHER THE PARTS WERE ACTUALLY DISPATCHED!! I AM FINDING IT INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE BT STAFF.
After reading my emails once computer restored on Monday rang and spoke to a lady called Lindsay about the fact that BT Sport only actioned Monday and not Saturday, demanded an explanation and said I wanted to cancel without any penalties due to breach of contract. Speaking to Lindsay was a waste of time, all I got was a ‘not my job’ attitude and a refusal comment, I continually find BT staff unable to ‘own’ the problem. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she told me that ‘Kevin’ would call me back between 1pm and 4pm, and keep trying if he failed to contact to.
STAYED IN ALL DAY MONDAY, NO CONTACT FROM ‘KEVIN’ NO MESSAGE. IT IS NOW AUG 28 STILL NOT CONTACT. I AM SEEKING COMPENSATION FOR MY TIME AND THE APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LACK OF MANNERS.
THAT IS TWO DAYS IN ONE WEEK WHEN YOUR STAFF CHOSE NOT TO RESPOND TO ME AND CAUSED ME TO AWAIT THEIR CALLS.
I would request that whoever eventually contacts me that they read this message and have specific answers to the numerous complaints. As a 69 year old with a heart condition and breathing difficulties I find it difficult and tiring repeating the same story over and over again to different people. WHY CAN’T SOMEONE ‘OWN’ THE PROBLEM.
With regard to your supply of BT Infinity this has been a problem from day one. My original complaint was with the misselling of the product in the very first instance. I was continually rang by the same sales person telling me how wonderful and fast the service was, and how cheap it was. NO MENTION WAS EVER MADE OF A 30 FOOT CABLE IN THE PROPERTY, I WOULD HAVE REJECTED THIS OUT OF HAND. I made it clear I was not a heavy broadband user and that my device was a laptop. Indeed he quoted me an untrue figure. When I got my first bill and complained if you check your records you will find that a supervisor agreed that in fact I could cancel the contract if I wanted as I had been misled regarding the price. (Oh how I wish I had). Eventually we agreed to a compensation figure and the contract ran.
I have never been impressed by your Infinity service, and have complained about the performance. I cannot say I have ever noticed any difference in the performance from ‘ordinary’ broadband, indeed at a speed of 6 it is not surprising.
BT Infinity was installed at my property by a BT Engineer. The installation was completed as a wireless installation. No mention was ever made of a 30 foot cable from my hub to any device by the engineer, and no cable was supplied or even hinted that I should purchase one, again at this juncture I would have complained about being missold  BT Infinity if it required this 30 foot cable. It is a ridiculous solution in 2013, having spoken to other providers, including TalkTalk my previous provider, they all state their fibre optic broadband claims are made to operate wirelessly, not via a cable, although everyone agrees you get a better connection with a cable fibre optic should work via wireless. TalkTalk tell me they will guarantee it in writing if I return to them!
GIVEN THE ABOVE DESCRIPTION OF BT INFINITY COULD SOMEONE AT BT EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I AM PAYING £45 FOR FIBRE OPTIC BROADBAND AND ONLY GETTING A SPEED OF 6. SURELY I COULD GET THIS WITHOUT FIBRE OPTIC.
On this basis I am looking to cancel the BT Infinity contract without any penalty.
It was missold and is not fit for purpose, i.e. high speed broadband. It is not unlike the banking PPI fiasco where customers were deliberately sold a product they did not need and did not work.
    I AM THEREFORE SEEKING
CANCELLATION OF BT INFINITY CONTACT WITH OUT PENALTY DUE TO MISSELLING
REIMBURSEMENT OF ALL EXTRA PAYMENTS PAID FOR BT INFINITY
COMPENSATION FOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE INCLUDING TWO DAYS SPENT AWAITING CALLS FROM BT STAFF
REIMBURSEMENT OF £11 FOR ETHERNET CABLE.
This current tale of wore commenced on August 19.
It is now August 28 and still no response from anyone at BT willing to ‘own’ the problem.
I have found my whole experience at BT to be unpleasant and distasteful!
Come back TalkTalk all is forgiven (I only left them because at the time they had no TV box)
HAS ANYBODY OUT THERE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS - I WOULD WELCOME ANY COMMENTS FROM ANYWHERE AS I CANNOT GET ANY COMMENT FROM BT

my 20-something behavior of moving in and out a million times before i finally flew the nest.

I switched from AT&T to Verizon because I was told that they had better service.
I bought two Lumia 928 phone because I liked the way you could get to your data and applications and how easy it was to integrate this phone with the Microsoft cloud environment being developed. The future path for this operating system has a great upside and financing with research that could surpass all others if implemented properly. Microsoft's recent reorganization and selection for CEO shows that they are most definitely serious and in it for the long game.
What I have been finding is that Verizon is nearly the same in coverage for the areas that I have been in and their updates to their phones are way behind.
We purchase these phones because we are sold on specific features and development paths of them. To find out that Verizon simply does not care to support the feature sets that are added for their existing customers is a very big deficit.
I am half way through my contract and am still weighing the pros and cons of the Verizon service. At this point I can tell you that Verizon is behind the previous experience I had with other carriers with respect to keeping the phone features up to date.
As a suggestion to Verizon, other carriers are looking for ways to out market you. This is an area that you are being beat soundly in. Please make this a customer satisfaction issue and follow up on this board. You are taking a beating and will begin to lose a reputation that took years to create. Once you lose it, it takes much longer to get it back. Do not get lazy or take "Lean" to customer service.

  • SAP ERP roll out to Algeria

    Hello Experts,
Does anyone know what country version exists for a SAP ERP roll out to Algeria. I looked aorund the SAP website, and it mentions there is only "installation" pack in Algeria. Whats the difference between a country version and installtion only ? Any information around SAP ERP roll out version to Algeria or localization pack for Algeria will be appreciated.
    Many Thanks!
    Regards,
    Vidhi

    Hi,
first, I would like to explain about the term country used in SAP B1:
SAP Business One is currently available in 39 country* versions, also known as localized versions, each of which is designed to allow you to run your business operations in a particular country. In addition to the generic SAP Business One business logic, features, and functions, country versions also include country-specific functionality that is automatically installed and configured. These country specific functions help companies comply with local legal requirements as well as local business practices.
The term "country" is used for convenience only and does not necessarily infer the existence of a nation state.
I quoted the above statement from this link:
    https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001296992008
You could see there that country used for algeria is france.
Countries / Regions without localized SAP Business One
    Algeria
Version SAP Business One Country Version(s) being shipped and used
    France

  • AppleTV not appearing/syncing in Itunes since the UK film roll out...

I know there are post on this already, but I've never had any problems at all with my AppleTV being recognized or syncing with Itunes since before now... I'd got a bit giddy with excitement over the roll out of the films on iTunes, so I decide to download a rented one from iTunes (no menu option to do this on the AppleTV at this point. The download went pretty smoothly taking an hour or so, and I was able to move it over to the AppleTv.
Interestingly enough the new Movie menu options had now appeared after being received. I had made sure that the AppleTV was up to date before this I may add and didn't have any further upgrades, so how did it get the new menu options?? So after that I noticed I was able to browse and buy films directly from the AppleTV ( but I have not tried this yet) Anyway...
I watched the rented film, and it was fine, all went smoothly, told me I had one more day to before I'd lose it... Shortly after watching it the iTunes I sync with on my MAC lost connection. Not a sign of it. Factory reset the AppleTV, re-installed iTunes. Nothing... Then I tried connecting from the AppleTV by syncing a new computer with the 'four digit code' And hey presto invoking that procedure brought up the AppleTV back in my devices on iTunes.
So.... Now all have to do is sync everything over again, fine, take a few hours I know. After three hours and more the sync freezes, so I cancel it. And guess what folks! No AppleTV in my devices as before.
Now as I say at the beginning of this post, I've never had a problem with syncing with AppleTV, I believe the introduction the films to iTunes has introduce a software bug, or maybe made an existing one worse!

Yeah ,this only worked temporarily. I don't know what's going on with my router and my AppleTV but it's proving impossible to reliably sync to the AppleTV when both the AppleTV and my iBook (the syncing computer) are connected to my router wirelessly. Sometimes, fiddling with the router fixes it, sometimes rebooting the AppleTV fixes it, but invariably, the time comes when I can ping and see the AppleTV from my desktop (connected to the router via ethernet) and not from the iBook (connected wirelessly)

  • BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out

BlackBerry 10.2 OS Begins Roll Out — New Reasons to Love your BlackBerry 10 Smartphone, Big and Smal
    From the Inside BlackBerry blog:
BlackBerry 10.2 OS introduces new features like BlackBerry Priority Hub, BlackBerry Natural Sound, and BBM now in any app that will help you be more productive and stay better connected when it counts. Plus, with hundreds of new refinements, BlackBerry 10.2 makes the things you do every day faster and easier. Here are just some of the new features you’re going to love in BlackBerry 10.2:
    BlackBerry 10.2 Highlights:
    Priority Hub
Keep your important conversations closer than ever with the new Priority Hub. Always at your fingertips, Priority Hub learns what conversations are most important to you and automatically puts those messages at the top of your inbox, helping you to stay focused on the critical items. On top of that, the new attachment view helps you organize files and documents across your messaging accounts and within specific message threads.
    BBM Video with Natural Sound
BBM Video has always allowed you to have a live face-to-face conversation with anyone, anywhere. Now, with Natural Sound, BBM Video and Voice conversations between BlackBerry 10 smartphones sound more natural and realistic. It’s the next best thing to being in the same room. We’re able to accomplish this because BlackBerry Natural Sound captures a wider sound spectrum, so you can hear subtle nuances that are lost in most cellular calls.
Instant Previews of BBM, SMS and Email from any app
Stay in the flow. BBM, SMS and E-mail messages now find you no matter what you are doing on your BlackBerry. See email, BBM and SMS message previews appear in any app – you can even respond to your BBM or SMS messages in any app or go to the BlackBerry Hub with a single swipe to respond to your email. Perfect for keeping the conversation going while you browse the web, watch a video, or use other apps. Of course, you can tailor these notifications to the way you work to ensure you’re only notified as much as you want to be.
    BlackBerry Keyboard
The smartphone keyboard that knows your next move just got even smarter. With personalized next word suggestion, auto-correction, and the distinctive BlackBerry keyboard layout, we’ve built this keyboard to help you have conversations with speed and accuracy. And on the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Z30, improved audio feedback with distinct tones for specific keys like backspace, and shift helps you type more confidently because you’ll have more reassurance you’ve hit the right key.
    Copy and Paste Enhancements
Copy and paste just got easier. Not only does BlackBerry 10.2 offer more precise cursor control, text selection is now easier. Once you select text, a pop up menu gives you editing options and direct sharing with BBM, Facebook and Twitter – so you can quickly copy, paste and share
    Faster, Easier Sharing
BlackBerry 10.2 learns how you share and who you share with, helping you reduce the number of steps and amount of time it takes to get your files, photos, or documents to where they need to go. Touching “share” in any app provides suggestions on who and how to share your files based on how you’ve shared in the past, and the feature only gets smarter the more you use it.
    Lock Screen Notifications
When the red light on your BlackBerry 10 smartphone is flashing, you don’t have to unlock the phone to see your message. Notifications on the lock screen now let you take a peek at the latest email, text, BBM, or notification to see if that’s the message you’ve been waiting for or one that can wait a while. You can customize which accounts appear on the lock screen and scroll over the icons to display the sender and subject line.
    Reply Now
Reply Now lets you respond to incoming phone calls, even when it’s not a good time to answer the phone. Easily send a response through BBM, SMS or email – choose from a list of standard automated responses or respond with a personalized note. Perfect for ensuring that important contacts are always given your attention.
    Calendar Enhancements
BlackBerry Calendar now comes with an ‘I’m running late’ function so you can instantly let meeting participants know if you’ll be late. You can even specify a new time in your notification. And, with a redesigned interface that makes adding an event easier, managing your time is simple.
BlackBerry 10.2 OS gives you a lot of new reasons to love your BlackBerry 10 smartphone, and we haven’t even mentioned the updates to Docs to Go, a new BlackBerry Hub icon, camera enhancements—but the best way to experience all BlackBerry 10.2 has to offer is to try it for yourself.
