Exclude stock reserved for production order from availability check

Hi Experts,
We have a problem in the availability check.
There is a material used as selling product and components in the same time.
When the material has been reserved completely for a production order, the new sales order still get confirmed despite there is no physical stock at all!
Please advise how to exclude the stock reserved for production order from the availability check in sales order? Many thanks!
Regards,
Qiang

Go to MM02 and check what availability check is maintained for that material.  Next go to OVZ9, select that available check with the combination "A" and maintain "X"  or  "F"  in the field  "Incl.production orders".
thanks

  • Report to check open reservations for production orders where GI not posted

    Hi experts,
Can we get reservation details from any report/ table for production order where material has not been issued, report should also display the value of the reserved material.
I could not find desired details in RESB (it has price but not value) and MB25.
Thanks in advance, useful ansers will be rewarded.
    Thnx
    Anand

    Hello Anand,
there is no report but you may use the production order info system with list "components" and create a layout contaning the issued quantity and/or the final issue indicator. With a correct sorting, the list should show all orders with non-issued components at the top.

  • Stock reserver for sales order

    Dear All
    1. MMBE-Check the stock with batch no 6000000340 with 200 qty
    2. Sale Order Created-
    3. MB1B - Used Movement type 412 E with Inputs such as Sales Order,[warning message: sales order is not provided for this goods movement] after pressing the document is posted
    4. In MMBE When i check the stock under batch no 6000000340  with 150 qty in unrestricted stock and Sales order Stock  i can see the 50 quantity stock
    Query is
    1. Why the 50 quantity stock which is reserved for Sales order stock is seen under unrestricted stock and not under  Reserved tab
    2. When i create delivery  with the same material and  batch no, the stock is reduced from unrestricted stock[150 -10delivery qty] = its showing 140 qty, but stock should be reduced from 50 quantity which i have reserved for Sales order.
    Please guide
    Regards
    Sandeep Bhowmick

    Hi Sandeep
    Visualize this scenario
Material is pen in MMBE unrestricted stocks is 100
Sales order created with item cat TAN with special stock indicator E not marked and the order no is say 55 for 10 qty
Now you are reserving stocks in t code MB1B with movement type 412 E inputting the order no xx and saving it
Now in MMBE put the material as pen and input plant and storage location etc press F8
    unrestricted stocks will be 90
Sales order stocks will be 10
If you click on the details of this sales order stocks you will see the order no xx and qty will be 10
(read your first post exactly the same of this)
now are delivering the sales order and doing the pgi
    Now in MMBE
    unrestricted stocks will be 80
Sales order stocks will be 10 (this exactly is your problem)
that means the system having a reservation in MMBE for a particular sales order xx not utilizing those stocks and still takes the stocks from the unrestricted and this is wrong
This is happening because the item cat TAN is not marked with special stock indicator E during order creation of xx
Now mark the item cat TAN with special stock indicator E and create a fresh cycle say order no yy
When you do PGI for order no yy the unrestricted will be 90 and there wont be any sales order stocks as the stocks are already PGIed
That means the system picks up the correct stocks for delivery
The system behaves very perfectly When there is sales order stocks in MMBE i dont  understand ,what is the reservation you are talking about

  • Reservation for Production order

    HI experts..
The system will reserve the qty once the planed order get generated.
Will it be possible after the production order release.. the reserved stock should get blocked
and we sud not use the planed reserved qty for other production orders.
pls guide me how to do this..

    Sri Ram,
Availabiltiy checking can give you the functionality I think you seek.
Available To Promise (ATP) doesn't exactly 'block' stock.  Instead, each order (planned order, or production order, or Sales order) can be configured to execute an ATP check for components.  You can configure that production orders cannot be released unless they pass an availability check for components.  So, the first production order is released, and because of the way you have set the ATP up, there is no more component stock available.  Now, when you try to release an additional production order, the ATP will fail, and you may not release the order.

  • Manual Reservation for Production orders with automatic reservations

Hello SAP Experts, i have a question regarding Order Reservations, in my company when we create a Production order the reservations for each component are created automatically and assinged to a reservation number, the thing is when i try to create a Reservation through MB21 for the same Production order the system says that" for that type of production order i cant generate manual reservations", can you please guide and tell me if i can change this in the configuration ?? , if you need additional info please tell me , thank you in advance.

    Dear German,
Your system working according to std SAP setting, u don't need to change any config setting. Because wehn u release order, it automaticaly genarates reservation for each and evry component of the order.
when u do goods issue to order or to reservation either way it gets issue to the order.
suppose if u need to issue any extra component to the order u can just add in order componet overview before u release the order. so reservation gets genarated for this componets too along with BOM components.
In case afer release, if u need further components go to MB1A give mov type 261 and S.Loc and then click on new item push button, it pop ups one more window give all required parameters and post the goods. These goods issue will also gets updated in the order.
But for the order uc an not manually create the reservations

  • Issue/Bug in reservation for production order

    Hello,
We have a bug with the reservations for a production order, which in turn is causing a problem with clearing a cogi error. I have a COGI error for material 123 in plant A.they are trying to remove 14,312 lbs that was confirmed to production order 1000123. According to the error message the production order only has 6,400 lbs that can be removed. in CO14 my material 123 show two quantities in different batch 14,312 and 6,400. In Reservations shows only 6,400 as being consumed. this amount should be 20,712 (14,312 + 6,400). The reservation did not get updated correctly. Why this happen? How could we correct this RESERVATION to add up 14,312 in my material 123)?
Please give me feedback ASAP, need help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    JJ

    Hello,
thanks for the answer you have given me..
as to make sure, does it is safe to delete the error? even that it tells that RE qty moved exceeded by 7.912 lb? it so weird how come was the reservation was complete since when they raised it it just 6,400 it shows? how could i make sure that document goods movement for my production order as mr. pradeep told me to do? what should i do?
thus when deleting the error in COGI, it will change the my material in CO14 COMPLETED and have QTY WIDTHDRAWN and will be encluded in the same RESERVATION NUMBER?
Anyone please revert back to me.
    Thanks
    JJ

  • Stock reservation for Sales Order

    Dear Friends,
My requirement is to reserve the stock for a particular sales order.
    Material is Make to Stock.
I tried with transaction code MB1B/MB1C/MB1A with movement type 412E/561E/232E for a particular sales order.
If I view stock overview with transaction code MMBE,I can see the stock is reserved for a particular sales order.
Now when I am creating delivery for this reserved stock with reference to another sales order, delivery is created.Logically it should not happen.Delivery should create only with reference to particular sales order for which stock is reserved.
Here I checked OVZ9 and ensured tick is for include sales reqmts.
Special stock is blank for sales order item category.Transaction code is VOV7.
If I make the sales order item category as E and if I am trying to create a delivery for sales order for which stock is not reserved system does not allow to create delivery.
Please suggest me how to meet my requirement.I want to reserve the stock (Make to stock) only for particular sales order.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Shrikant

    Dear santosh/Kapil,
Thank you very much for your immediate reply.
Santosh stock is getting reserved but still I can despatch this reserved stock against a sales order for which this stock is not reserved.
    Details are as below,
Material---- ABC,Batch is xyz, batch quantity is 2 TO
Sales orders are 111,112,113,114 and so on.
Now as per your advise I have done the reservation for SO 111 for material ABC for batch xyz.
When I checked MMBE it shows that material ABC of batch is reserved but I could not see SO number here but yes in reservation I could see the sales order number.
Now I tried to create the delivery for SO 113 for which the batch xyz is not reserved it is reserved for SO 111.But still I could create delivery for SO 113 for batch xyz.
I mean batch xyz is reserved for SO 111.
    Am I missing anything here.
    Dear Kapil,
I do not want to reserve the entire order quantity of sales order.I mean only on few ocasions I want to reserve the stock.
I mean today I want to reserve partial quantity of sales order.
    Regards,
    Shrikant

  • Order type pick for production order from Sales order

    Hello All,
I wanted to know how is order type picked in case of Production order is generated directly from Sales order. Can any one help
    Regards
    Divya

    Hi divya,
    1. Check your material master (mm02/mm03) on tab mrp 3, Check your strategy group
    2. Check customizing for Strategy Group (OPPS). Check your Requirement type for Customer
    3. Check customizing for Requirements Types (OVZH). Check what is your requirement class for your requirement type
    4. Check customizing for Requirements Classes (OVZG). Check detail for your requirement class, in Assembly Section, maintain your Order Type. If order type is maintain empty, it changes directly to your standard order type PP01
Be careful for maintaining this order type in . It is wisely to copy than change the standard requirement type and class setting. As my experience after changing the standard, we can't put it back to standard settings.
Hope it's answer your question, and mind sharing some points.

  • Stock determination for production order

Stock determination is not carried out during production order release.  I checked config (OSPX) and it looks fine.  Any clue where else I should look inorder to correct this issue.
    Thanks

    Hi,
After checking all the necessary configurations in OSPX, check following also.
SPRO > MM > Inventory Management and Physical Inventory > Stock Determination > Assign Stock Determination Rule in the Applications > Production Order > here Enter the plant, order category and business operation and Enter the type of check (no check, checking rule).
    here select the operation as;
5 - Check during batch determination
And in CO01 (Production Order), go to "Components" overview and here click on "Batch Determination" button and then check.

  • BAPI for Sales Order item availability check

    hi all !!!!!!!!!

  • How to calculate missing parts for production orders?

    Dear All,
I have this scenario i'm using collective orders\direct production method in my industry which means that sub assemblies don't enter any warehouses but transferdd directly to its superior order as a component , my problem is i want to know the missing raw material for the finished product , knowing that the FP has a 6 level BOM i want during ATP for production order the sustem checks only for the lowest level of material and takes only the CURRENT STOCK IN WAREHOUSES , what checking group should be used for the FP, Subassemblies and raw materials.
    plz help
    Ahmed Sobhi

    HI,
If no Av. Check is to be done at all, then specify checking group as KP. But be informed, this will be impactive across all business processes meaning if you plan to sell the SFG & you place a SO for that item, an Av. Check will confirm it immediately as it has av. checking group as KP.
Now for the checking group maintained for raw mtl, go to OPJJ & check the details of the checking rule to know which receipts/ issues are considered & you may modify the same as per your need.
I would suggest do a test in your sandbox & if it meets your need, then adopt the same.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • User Exit/BADI for Production Order Availability Check

    Hi PP experts,
Is there any user exit or BADI which can be used for Production Order Availability Check during order creation/release or while running collective availability check (COMAC) to include additional check conditions such as do not commit quantity (commitment qty = 0) if storage location for a component is missing in the production order due to storage location is not maintained/specified for that component in the material master.
Note: In this case the availability check is set (configured)  to check at the storage location level.

    Dear ,
Availablity Check is not Plant Specific or Storage Loaction spefic .ATP does not check the stock for any particualar stock in storage loaction rather it cheks various stocks based inward and out ward movement time through PR/PO/Dependent /Planned Order /Stock Type  irrespective of any Storage Location .
BAPI which can be used :
    1.BAPI_PRODORD_CHECK_MAT_AVAIL
can we exclude materials of prod order in availability check
what is availability check concept  how it is used in SAP
Check the above if it is useful

  • IDOC/BAPI for Production order creation from Legacy system

    Hi all
We are using an interface to create Production orders from legacy to SAP. Would you recommend an IDOC or a BAPI to create Production orders. If IDOC or BAPI then could you please mention which one?
    thanks a bunch

    Hi John,
For your purposes, please use BAPI for production order creation from legacy system. There is no standard inbound IDoc available to use. SAP has an IDoc for outbound interface only (message type LOIPRO).
If there is an inbound IDoc available, I would recommend to use an IDoc.
IDoc technology has excellent error handling and will allow you to reprocess an error (if any).
BAPI is also good approach to use and fast in term of  processing.
For BAPI approach, you can use BAPI BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE.
    Hope this will help.

    Ferry Lianto

  • Expired stock being picked for production order staging.

    Hi all,
While picklists are being generated for production order staging, materials that are past their expiry date are being selected and allowed to be picked and confirmed. Is there a way that such expired materials can be excluded from picking?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Kevin.

    Hi,
As mentione dby Philippe, You can make use of batch search strategy to avoid picking of expired batches be it for production or Customer delivery.
You can use LS51 transaction to setup batch search strategy WM01 (at Warehouse level) or WM02 (Warehouse / movement type). Hope you maintain classification data for your materials (023 batch class) where you maintain expiry duration and productioninformation etc.  In LS51, select the appropriate batch class and maintain batch parameters as released and  sort the strategy by Shelf life expiration date.
Storage type startegy search (T334T) has to be maintained accordingly.
If this helps you kindly reward your points.
    thanks and regards
