Excluding appraisee from the planning phase appraisal process

Hi
Our client wants to exclude the employee (appraisee) from the planning phase in the case of displinary appraisal process.
So is it possible to configure a appraisal model in a way where the appraisee can only see the document when status has been set to 'In process' - this way only the appraiser can see(and maintain) the document when it is being prepared and planned.
I have looked into the anonymous settings but it does not cover our requirements.
Do you have any hint for us?

Thank you for input.
I have looked into the hiding of colomns - but we want to make the planning of the whole document a secret to the appraisee. So it is only when in process phase, that the appraisee should be able to see that the manager has created the appraisal form.
Do you see a solution for this case?

We have a huge number of cvc for various countries, while we are planning to load the data from the planning area to the cube using those cvc it consuming 40 hours.
I happneed to check the cvc are more than 15,000 that is one reason. But i still need to improve the time taken to load the data from the planning area to the cube using the process chain.
I happened to split the process chain to load data respectively to the sales organisation but still the same!!
Can anyone help me nor recommend the sap process to improve the data loading from planning to cube in apo demand planning?

Hi Pooja,
15K is not huge at all. We have worked with 50k and still managed do the extract into cube in about an hours time.
Pls help me understand a few things, so that we can help you better.
1) Number of KF?
2) Number of Periods?
3) Key Figure Storage types - Is there any KF stored in Infocube rather than Time Series, this can be found in the Key Figure details in the Planning Area.
4) Pls explain your data flow like PA--> Datasource --> Communication Structure --> UPdate rules --> Cube???
5) Are you using Parallel extraction in your Datasource? This can be checked in Data Extraction tools from your Planning Area Screen.
Few general tips.
1) Parallelize your datasource.
2) Load into PSA and Infocube parallely.
3) Do not include KF stored in Infocube for your backup, use only KF stored in LC.

I would love to be able to drag and drop items from one page to another from the plan window. Is that possible?

In desiging my website, I would like to be able to move items from one page to another by dragging and dropping from the plan architecture screen. It might also help if the window could have a zoom in and out feature to facilitate that.

I just tried zooming in the plan window and discovered it works.

HELP: Excluding footnotes from the word count

I'm a post-grad student, currently writing my dissertation, and I am hoping one of you might be able to help:
Q: Is there any way to exclude footnotes from the total word count?
I've tried it via Inspector > Document > Info, but all I get to see is the total word count including all footnotes and there's no checkbox to switch it of (like in MS-Word)
Footnotes are not included in the total word limit for my dissertation (20.000 words), and if I cant work out how to have Pages counting both footnotes and document text individually, I need to revert back to MS-Word and can't use Pages08 at all (major pain, not only as I then just wasted $79)

Unfortunately, no version of Pages has this fine-grained control over document components and their word count, so the answer is no, regarding user changeable settings.
Programmatically, I just told AppleScript to count the words of body text in a currently opened Pages v5.2 document. The count matched the Pages word count for the document. So, no solution there either.

If I create a doc on pages for ipad, then view it on the iMac, the word count is lower. I figured out that this is because Pages counts all the words in the footnotes. Does anyone know how to make it exclude footnotes from the word count?

     All images are visible on my camera. I am using fairly new 32GB CF and SDHC cards. I will see if my card reader makes a difference. I was going over photos I took in 2012 that I have reviewed before and some of them now aren't readable now.

Status sequence: exclude status from the middle of the min/max range

Dear Experts!
I have customized status schema and determined the status sequence. Etherything works well, but I need to exclude status from the range of statuses that user can set from the current status. For example, I have statuses:
10 status1 min-20 max-40
20 status2 min-10 max-30
30 status3 min-20 max-40
40 status4 min-40 max-40
And I need to let user set from "status1" only statuses "status2" and "status4", but not "status3". How can I do it without changing positions of statuses? Hope for your help.

But how exactly can I do this? Should I use an exception NOT_ALLOWED of the method BEFORE_CHANGE? When I was trying to debug this method, I could operate only with one status (from importing parameters) defined by the filter of BADi CRM_ORDER_STATUS. Hope for your reply.

How do you hide Excluded Roles from the End User (8.1) ?

We have 2 Buisness Roles: Employee and Contractor. They are excluded from each other, meaning if you have one of the roles, you cannot be assigned the other role.
When a user logs into 8.1 to the OOTB "Update My Roles" WF, they see their Available Roles for selection.
These available roles listing includes the excluded roles.
So when a user with the Contractor role logs in, they see the Employee role as an available role.
If the Contractor user tries to add the Employee role, they will get an error due to the role exclusion.
I know it is possible to hide the excluded roles from the end user, but don't know how.
Does anyone know how to hide the excluded roles from users?

I may have misread your first comment but I totally agree with your response.
If the user has capabilities over multiple organizations it will show all roles, whether exclusion or not. (Been confirmed that this is how it is designed to work)
What could be done is when selecting a user is a specific organization, you could have a rule that only shows up the Business roles that are associated with that organization. So although you have the capabilities over all organizations you only see the roles that are available to the organization where the user is your are updating.
An idea anyway

Excluding videos from the upload?

Is there anyway to exclude videos from the upload to the iCloud library? I
n other words, i would like to keep my photos and videos in the Photos app, but only upload the photos..

Any items that have been imported to Photos, but are stored in there original location and not inside the Photos Library, will not upload to iCloud. The only way to prevent selected items from syncing to iCloud is to import them to Photos with the Photos Preferences > General "Importing: Copy items into the Photos Library" disabled. But that setup is not easy to manage consistently, if you continually have to switch between importing managed and referenced. It would be much simpler to move the videos to a second Photos library, that will not sync with iCloud.
By default, imported photos are copied into the Photos library. If you prefer, you can store photos and video outside the Photos library—for example, in a folder on your Mac or on an external hard drive—and still view them in Photos. If you ever need to move content stored outside the library into your Photos library, you can do that, too. For more information about changing where your files are stored, see Change where Photos stores your files.

I need to process some form data, that were entered by a user. One field was additional added via the method IF_FPM_GUIBB_FORM~GET_DEFINITION, so it is not in the BOL.
I listen to an FPM_EVENT in the IF_FPM_GUIBB_FORM~PROCESS_EVENT.
IF io_event->mv_event_id EQ 'FPM_SAVE_AND_BACK_TO_MAIN' OR io_event->mv_event_id = 'FPM_SAVE_1'.
     " Here I need to access the data from the GUINN FROM

How can I access to the data, entered in the GUIBB FORM?
