Executed Workitem in Inbox

Hi All,
Successfuly workitem executed,but again the same workitem text and its attachment keeping in the inbox with nill records.
And also the same nill record workitem keeping in all other user's inbox.
Same thing happening also in all other workflow workitems.
Hope you understood my issue
What could be the problem?

You are not giving a lot of information. I suggest you spend some more time trying to figure out either the cause, or some things you can tell us.
Sounds like a general task where the agent resolution fails (e.g. a role without the checkbox checked to raise an error when no agents are found).
I would start by checking who started the workflow, and how it was started. Then check a few other things before you come back here with more information if it is still a mystery.

You are not even saying if it is a standard workflow or a customer solution, whether it is a BOR object type or class that has been used, or indeed whether that is a standard or customer-developed class or BOR object.
In short: you are not giving any information that is specific for your problem. You can't solve a problem without specific information. It's no different from when end-users  say "SAP does not work".

    Dear experts
    We upgraded CRM 4.0 to CRM 2007. We have workflows scenarios in our system. Workflows are received in our Outlook Inbox. From there, we have 3 options:
    - Workflow Inbox
    - Display Work Item
    - Execute Work Item
    The workitem should open a service process in CRM.
    If we execute the workitem from the outlook inbox, it will open the service process but not using the standard WebUI screen, instead it will use the IC WebUI screen to open the service process.
    If we execute the workitem from the worklist (in WebUI), it will open the service process using the standard WebUI screen.
    What should we change in order to use the standard WebUI screen (and not the Interaction Center) when we execute a work item from outlook?

    The agent assignent is fine and the task is also made as general task . Even the object  i am using is standard 'BUS2000120' not  the custom one.
    i feel the problem may be due to someworkflow settings between Web UI and backend. Let me know if any settings like such (apart from SWU3).
    Any more suggesstions please????

    PO Response approval Work item is not executing from approver inbox. After click the approve button system is not showing any error and also work item is not clearing from user inbox. When we checked the status of the work item in SWI1 Transaction is still READY.
    Standard Task: TS14508055 - Transfer purchase order response data to purchase order
    Business Object: BUS2209
    Scenario:
    1. Create PO in SRM System, Vendor belongs to SUS System Vendor
    2. SUS Vendor creates the PO Response SUS system, POR Value is greater Than PO Value
    3. Approval Work item will go to Buyers of purchasing group
    4. Buyer trying to approving The PO Response from his approval inbox

    what all buttons do you see when you open the workitem in the approval inbox.
    as far as i know , there will only button 'transfer response to purchase order'..
    what happens if you click the above button.

  • Execute workitem link

    In HCm forms  when it goes for first level approval..
    There is a link 'Execute Workitem' in the inbox of the approver...
    In the some application, when we click on this link it is taking to the portal as the task is the Webdynpro Java application task. Whereas, when using ABAP webdynpro application task, it is taking to R/3 - which means that the user cannot access this link without R/3 access. The users are given only portal access, they don't have access to backend R/3.
    The requirement is that the link has to take the user to portal directly instead of R/3 - i.e it should ask only for the portal id and password.
    Since it was working fine with some  application, I changed the task to Java webdynpro task, but I think the Java Webdynpro application is not deployed in the server.
    Please can anybody suggest.

    The parameters are configured in SWFVISU due to which it is openign custom screen correctly when the manager logs in normally to portal and access UWL.
    The problem is only while using the "Execute Workitem" link.the problem is I am not aware of the parameters which leads to this link in external email.
    There is an extended notification configuration in our system.Is this link coming due to this?
    Kindly guide.

    Hi Ashu,
    The text is coming from the Text symbol of standard include program LSWU2F10.
    Text symbol number is 301.
    Check for enhansement option to change the text symbol.
    But this change will affect all your decision step workflow's.

    Hi,
    My Workflow Step calls a Cutom Transaction which should have a button Cancel and keep Workitem in Inbox.How do i go abaout implementing this.
    It should work similar to the User Decision cancel and keep work item .
    My Step also has a Confirm End of processing Check.So if i click on the Cancel
    the work item the screen confirm end of processin step should not appear and workitem should be in my Inbox

    Just call EXIT_CANCELLED. in your method. This cancels a WI without completing it and leaves it in the inbox.

  • PR Release Workitem  in inbox

    I have worked on standard BO. 
    PR release workflow as purchaseofficer got the mail and pr release-please register workitem..that's fine.
    But purofcr should be  click on workitem. he is not saved. then purofcr back to inbox. but workitem is not inbox. it's go to outbox.
    now client requirement workitem is not saved still in inbox  after saved then go to outbox.
    Plz need your's help.

    i  know difference in mail  & workitem.  and check also outbox.
    my Workflow purchase officer got mail and workitem both.he is click on workitem. then he is not check the confirm  button. he is back to inbox.
    not before confirm check box disappear on workitem in inbox.. then after check the check the disapper in workitem.

  • Workflow external mail "Execute Workitem Link" not working

    Hi all,
    I am sendiing an external email as part of vacation approval.
    This adds a link "Execute Workitem" automatically.
    When user clicks on this,it is showing error message "Error reading the container element STEP_OBJECT"
    after logging into portal.
    Please help to either rectify this error or remove the execute workitem link from outlook mail.

  • Execute workitem outside the SAP Inbox.

    Hi Friends,
    Please answer my querries if you can -
    When any work item comes to the SAP Inbox, usually the requirement revolves around 2 things -
    (1) How to send notification of the Workitem to the agent once work item appears in his inbox.
    But my question is can i send notification to external mail id like YAHOO, GMAIL,REDIFFMAIL etc. by maintaining the agent's mailid in SU01 and scheduling the RSWUWFML2 report ?
    (2) How to execute the work item in outlook
    We can send the sap link for the work item to the outlook and when the user clicks on the link it is directed to sap inbox and then he can take the action.
    But My question is How the agent can take decision in the oulook itself ? I mean just like sap inbox he can approve and reject in outlook itself. The agent doesnot have to go to the SAP business workplace for this purpose.
    (3) How the point2 functionality can be achieved for external mail (GMAIL, YAHOO etc.) as well

    Thanks a lot.
    You mean to say -
    (1) Just like RSWUWFML2 we can also send notification to outlook and any other email (like GMAIL etc.) throgh Extended notification. Right ?
    (2) Outlook supports the button (approve/reject), so we can integrate that with the SAP Inbox using Duet (as suggested in my previous forum). That means, the agent will take an action from outlook itself and the same will be communicated to SAP. Right? If yes, then please mention the procedure how to integate the outlook with SAP.
    (3) Since GMAIL etc. does not support this button(approve/reject), so we just cant do anything for the requirement -> Agent will take an action (approve / reject) in GMAIL and the same will be communicated to sap InBox.
    My requirement is that my client wants to take action from external mail id. Is this possible ? If not then atleast can we do the same in outlook.

  • Workitem is using data from old executed workitem.

    Hello.
    I have a workflow which has a step that will open transaction code PA40 for the user to update an infotype. Some fields will be already defaulted to some values and all the user has to do is to check the values in the fields and click on save.
    Lets say I am the user and I execute the workitem in my inbox. PA40 opens, I check the values in the fileds and click on save. The Infotype record is created and I hit F3 to exit out. Doing that the workflow ends and I return to my workflow inbox. I stay in the inbox. Next, a new workflow is started, but with slight different data for the fields in PA40. Refreshing my workflow inbox, I can see the new workitem. When I execute the workitem, transaction PA40 opens, but the values in the fields are the same as the vaues in the previous workitem that I executed, istead of the new values the new workflow was started with. It seems like the values are buffered, or the session that the was created to execute PA40 is still "hanging" with my inbox. Any ideas?

    Values cannot be buffered if its the same workflow as it a whole new instance...
    What is your method like, i mean is it some custom method, if yes are you using coding that is writing to containers...
    What happens when you normally process the transaction using PA40 with both the cases 1 by one...
    Normally it happens due to issues with Dynamic Action...

  • Problem in executing workitem

    Hi,
    I have a worktitem which is used to post a document.
    Even after posting the document successfully the workitem is not disappearing from the users' inbox.
    When the workitem is opened again it gives an error.
    Though the workitem can be completed manually and is being done like that now, I am not able to find why is it happening so.
    The following errors are generated.
    1) Work item XXXX: Object XXXX
    method SWW_WW_EXECUTE_S cannot be executed
    2) Object does not exist
    3) Problems occurred when generating a mail
    4) Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'
    I am seeing these errors in the detailed technical workflow log.
    Please help.

    Hi Aditya,
    the workitem is remaining in "In process" state if we check in the workflow log and the document has been successfully posted.
    I am not able to figure out why the workitem's state is not changing to completed.
    Actually this task is in one of the 3 branches of a fork. 1st branch is completed and the second one is in "Ready" state. This task is in the 3rd branch.
    2 out of 3 are necessary branches in the fork.
    Can this be in any way the possible reason??

    when I am trying to execute a workitem in UWL its giving error that "workitem is reserved for a different agent ".

              it might be because someone might have designed a workflow in such a way and would have delegated there business object so that some application is trigerring his/her workflow which is producing such a message.
    example:
                  some one migght have created a workflow for purchase order change and would have delegated their business object. So whoever changes any purchase order then this workflow gets triggered........
    solution:
                  if you could find the business object related with this workitem then you can remove the delegation.

  • Duplicate Workitem in Inbox

    Hi Gurus,
    I have created new Z event for Service notification (ZCHANGE) which will trigger on the change of service notification. I have configured this using TCODE SWEC. While configuring this I have selected option 'On Change'.
    For creation of Service Notification I am using standard event (CREATED) and also configured this using SWEC. While configuring this I have selected option 'On Create'.
    Now when I'm creating Service Notification I'm receving two workitems triggered by these events. where as there should be only one wrokitem in the inbox on creation.
    I have checked Workflow log, these Workitems are getting triggered by one workflow and with two separate events 'CREATED and ZCHANGE'.
    Any inputs, as how can i get only one workitem in my inbox?

    Here my senario is I want to trigger mail two times when user is creating and user is changing service notification.
    Standard event is to trigger workflow on create service notification and Z event is on change service notification.
    When I am changing service notification then only my Z event is get triggered.
    But on create both these events are getting triggered.

  • PO Release WF not sending workitem to inbox

    Hi All,
    We are working on activating the PO release WF 'WS 20000075'. We activated it thru OOCU and it is triggering when we save the PO (i checked in SWEL) but we do not see any workitems in SBWP (inbox). I 'Agent Assignment' is in GREEN and is a 'General Task' in the task.
    This is the config we did in SPRO:
    SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Release Procedure for Purchase Orders -> Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders > Workflow -> Here we assigned OT as US and respective User ID's for Release Codes.
    When i double-click on the entries in SWEL:
    - The 'Receiver Data' section is BLANK and in the 'Trace Data' section, action says 'No receiver entered'.
    I think the WF is not able to read the AGENT. Not sure. Can anyone please help me with this/
