Execution highlighting and probe don't agree

I'm debugging code on my cRIO using LV2009SP1.
There is an array of interest and my execution highlighting annotation on the block diagram shows "#0". However, if I put a probe on it, the data is clearly there.
Can somebody help?

Error -200284, Behaviour in Execution Highlighting and Runtime Speed

I am having trouble with the attached VI.
This VI reads a voltage on ai26 and it works fine if
1) the wait in the flat sequence is 2000 milliseconds or more and execution highlighting is turned off
or
2) the wait in the flat sequence is zero or more and execution highlighting is turned on.
LV reports error -200284 if I try executing 2) at runtime speed (execution highlighting turned off, wait=0). Is there a solution to change the VI in a way that the use of a wait is not necessary?
I already checked the LV examples and it seems that the examples (on my hardware) suffer the same problem.
Description of my task:
I need to sample the voltage at 2000 Samples/sec. Signal observation must be 5 sec, that makes 10000 Samples in the end. No trigger needed. The USB-6259 has a buffer of length 4095 but this is not my problem since I will be doing the acquisition (with 2000 sample chunks) in the producer- and the analysis in the consumer-loop.
My Hardware:
I am using USB-6259, LV 8.2 and DAQmx 8.6 on a Windows 2000 Machine.

In the attachment is the corrected VI without a wait.
If I run this corrected VI at runtime speed, I get error -200284.
If I place a breakpoint between the DAQmx Start and Read Task and run this VI (I will have to push the Continue-Button for the VI to finish), there will be no error.
Why that behaviour?

Finder and Utility don't agree

I have MacBook Pro with 512 SSD; Mavericks 10.9.2
I remeber something about Time Machine storing backups on boot drive, which makes no sense at all. This file was hidden and a terminal command 'sudo tmutil disablelocal' would turn automatic local backup off. I've tried that, and now it shows under Time Machine Preferences an option to backup on battery power, which I have unchecked.
Finder shows I have 179GB available and disk utility shows I have 95GB available on boot disk. I tried to restore my iTunes Libaray by deleteing the current and then dragging a backup to Music the other day. Said there was not enough disk space to do so. Finder showed I had plenty of room, but disk utility said I didn't have enough. What is hidden and how do I free up this disk space.
I rebuilt my system and now the missing disk space has showed up again as I listed above.
Finder says 179GB and Disk Utility says 95GB available
Someone please educate me, cause Apple Care says DUH.

Execution faster with execution highlighting???

This is wierd. I noticed that the VI that performs serial communications with my power supply taking a long time (~15s). I turned on execution highlighting and the execution time reduced (~10s). I ran profiling with performance and memory and the total execution time is reported as only 250ms in normal mode but the front panel and block diagram are locked for 15s.
Any ideas on this behavior?

I added an AE logging function that I use to help debug the code. When I added this, the timing came in line. I don't know what the root cause is but I think I will move on until it breaks again.

Does that mean you no longer have a problem? Did the problem go away? Or upon closer inspection you realize you really didn't have a problem? Or the AE logging function helped solve the problem for you?
"but I think I will move on until it breaks again". That is a troublesome thought. It you really have a problem but haven't solved it, that means it will eventually break, and when it does, you will have that much more code on top of it and make it that much harder to troubleshoot.
If you really have a problem, it's better to find it and fix it now while the code is still relatively simple. Building on a bad foundation is just going to cause the whole house to come crashing down later.

I WORK WITH 20+ TABS OPEN, SOMETIMES IF A WINDOW IS ALSO OPEN AND I DON'T CLOSE IT FIRST, MY TABS DON'T REOPEN WHEN I RESTART FIREFOX-HOW CAN I FIND AND REOPEN?

I understand how to set the restore tabs function and have done so. Usually my tabs reopen when I restart, but every once in a while if I have other windows (not tabs) open, and I forget to close them all first, before I close my main window, then when I reopen, my tabs are gone. I have gone to History and I can see the Restore Previous Session and Restore Closed Tabs commands, but they are not highlighted and they don't work. Please advise

Try using the Firefox button > Exit when you go to close Firefox, that should save all your open windows / tabs.

In fcp7 there is a "close gap" option so you don't have to highlight and move everything every time you delete a small section in the middle of a video. Is it possible to do this in fcpx? I can't seem to find it...Thanks!

This isn't the actual clip, I fixed it by highlighting and moving everything over but it'd still be a good thing to know for the future. This is essentially the situation i'm talking about. I would never use it for something this simple, but when more complicated editing is being done it isn't so easy to just move all the clips over.

Resetting my iPad didn't solve my problem with Bible 1 being kicked out when I tried opening the App. I was told to delete the App and re-install it, but won't that delete EVERYTHING I've done within the App? Like the highlights and the Notes?

If the app continually fails to run the delete and renown load might help. But yes, you will lose everything that you have done with the app unless there is some way to back up the info to your computer or another device.
You might also contact the developer of the app to see if they are aware of the problem and are working on fixing it. The developer info can normally be found in the information on the app provided in the App Store.

This is not known behavior of Flashback. To make sure you're not infected, just install any updates that are available in Software Update. For more info on this, see About the Flashback malware.
That e-mail just sounds like a phishing attempt, and trying to open and view the attached zip file is a major error! It probably contains malware. Fortunately for you, it's almost certainly Windows malware, as I've never yet heard of a case of Mac malware being sent via e-mail in this way. But it could happen, so you should never, ever open attachments from people you don't know, especially in such suspicious circumstances!
Finally, I, like etresoft, have never heard of Avira. There's a lot of bad AV software out there, so without knowing more about it, I would agree that it should be removed, using whatever uninstaller is provided by Avira. If you want to use AV software, use either Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition or ClamXav. Both are free and excellent.

The advanced adjustments in the Highlights & Shadows tool were combined into the "Mid Contrast" slider in Aperture 3.3 and later. If you have any images in your library that were processed in a version of Aperture before 3.3, there will be an Upgrade button in the Highlights & Shadows tool in the upper right, and the controls you asked about under the Advanced section. Clicking the Upgrade button will re-render the photo using the new version of Highlights & Shadows, and the Advanced section will be replaced with the new Mid Contrast slider. With the new version from 3.3 you probably don't need the Advanced slider, but if you want to use the older version you can download it from this page:

Report execution start and end date/time

Hi All,
How can one find execution start and end date/times for all reports? Basically I am looking to see what reports were run on a day, when and how long it took for each to complete.

The "eul5_batch_reports" holds the data about the scheduled report and if you don't have any so you will not have any data.
Take a look at "EUL5_QPP_STATS"

Highlights and Shadows develop settings are not functions

While implementing an image-processing plugin, I learned something very interesting (to me) about the Shadows and Highlights develop settings. The other basic tone settings (exposure, contrast, saturation, etc.) always map any one color to another single color uniformly throughout the image. But the Shadows and Highlights may map a given color to multiple colors in a single image, depending on the location of the pixels.
For example, in a test image I made with Shadows = +100, pixel (824,286) had its original 16-bit color value (0, 0, 0) transformed to (1724,1387,852). Pixel (861,287) also had original color (0,0,0), but it was transformed to a much different color (3093,2688,1316).
Abstractly, the other basic tone settings are functions (any input color always has the same output color), while Shadows and Highlights are many-to-many mappings (any input color may have multiple output colors). I knew that Clarity was not a function -- the transformed value of a pixel would depend on neighboring pixels. But it never occurred to me that Shadows and Highlights weren't functions either.
Is this property of Shadows and Highlights well-known by expert users of LR? (I.e. Rob, I assume you knew of this?)

Yup - @Lr4 (PV2012) there are 3 adjustments using Adobe's new "magic" algorithm:
* Clarity
* Highlights
* Shadows
I really don't know enough to fill in much in the way of details, except to say that when you use -highlights or +shadows, it "clarifies" the highlights and/or shadows a little bit, by way of the laplace-transform based algorithm Adobe developed. Jeff Schewe has pointed us to a white-paper about it in the past, but I dunno the link.. To me, it's akin to Topaz Detail and/or Topaz Adjust's "adaptive" enhancements - two Photoshop plugins I used regularly until Lr4 came out (Adobe's algorithm is very well done - in my opinion, better than Topaz labs, or any of the others doing similar things, e.g. PhaseOne, DxO, Nikon, ..).
FWIW - this is one of the reasons some people were raising heck when Lr4 first came out - no way to brighten shadows using the basic sliders without getting the clarification effect.. That said, Eric Chan also has informed us that Lr3's fill light had a similar mathematical algorithm backing it, and so Lr4 was not new in that regard, just improved..

When I type my text gets highlighted and then deleted.

I am having a problem with typing. When I type fast my text gets highlighted and then deleted or typed over. Im not sure what is wrong. I think it is either a trackpad or keyboard. Any help be great!!

The trackpad on the MB and MBP have a larger surface with more sensors than on previous laptops. As a result, when we type we have other fingers, thumbs etc. making contact with the trackpad and the trackpad receives input we don't intend. It happens to me quite often. So I hit Command + Z to undo and reposition the cursor. We need to train ourselves so that we keep our hands, palms, thumbs or other unnecessary body parts away from the trackpad while typing.

Transaction execution time and block size

I have Oracle Database 11g R2 64 bit database on Oracle Linux 5.6. My system has ONE hard drive.
Recently I experimented with 8.5 GB database in TPC-E test. I was watching transaction time for 2K,4K,8K Oracle block size. Each time I started new test on different block size, I would created new database from scratch to avoid messing something up (each time SGA and PGA parameters ware identical).
In all experiments a gave to my own tablespace (NEWTS) different configuration because of oracle block-datafile size limits :
2K oracle block database had 3 datafiles, each 7GB.
4K oracle block database had 2 datafiles, each 10GB.
8K oracle block database had 1 datafile of 20GB.
Now best transaction (tranasaction execution) time was on 8K block, little longer tranasaction time had 4K block, but 2K oracle block had definitly worst transaction time.
I identified SQL query(when using 2K and 4K block) that was creating hot segments on E_TRANSACTION table, that is largest table in database (2.9GB), and was slowly executed (number of executions was low compared to 8K numbers).
Now here is my question. Is it possible that multiple datafiles are reasone for this low transaction times. I have AWR reports from that period, but as someone who is still learning things about DBA, I would like to asq, how could I identify this multi-datafile problem (if that is THE problem), by looking inside AWR statistics.

As you change the block size, identical parameters DON'T necessarily result in the same configuration. Typically a large change in response time turns out to be due to changes in execution plan, and this can often be associated with different configuration. Did you also check that the system statistics were appropriately matched (which doesn't mean identical cross all databases).

What do you mean by "hot" ? Is E_TRANSACTION a partitioned table - if not then it consists of one segment, so did you mean to say "blocks" rather than segments ? If blocks, which class of blocks ?

As SB has pointed out there are some aspects of extent allocation that could have an effect - roughly speaking, extents for a single object go round-robin on the files so if you have small extent sizes for a large object then a tablescan is more likely to result in larger (slower) head movements if the tablespace is made from multiple files.
If the results are reproducible, then enable extended tracking (dbms_monitor, with waits) and show us what the tkprof summaries for the slow transactions look like. That may give us some clues.

Hi wMw.
Aborting normally works fine for very small applications or architectures but not for anything after that. Aborting a VI can leave things in states that you don't want to be in or references open. Sometimes you do need to Abort the code though (other programming environments use Abort buttons) so I don't think we can get rid of it entirely.But try to avoid it maximum.
EDIT:why you are trying to do such a strange thing??
