Execution of a report after execution of a transaction automatically
Dear All,
i want to execute one standard report after the completion of one transaction.
Can any body guide me in how to do this without executing the report separetly means the report should be called after the completion of the transaction automatically.
I dont want to use workflow also so is there any other way?

What i understood was that you need to run a standard transaction after another transaction to run automatically.....
it is possible if the program for the first t-code is that of a 'Zprogram'
so in the program for the first tcode..if it is performing an operation and does not need user interaction(like user inputs) then in the end of the code,You need to
do a call transaction and return <b>or</b> Submit program and return
wherein you need to pass all sufficient parameters to the second program

How to capture the first execution of a report
Hi,
I am executing a report in background. The first time the report is executed I have to do a different processing. After the 1st execution I have to different processing.
Someone please tell me how to capture the 1st execution of a report. Is there a system variable ?

A couple of years ago i would have recommended using the INDX table, but it has got it's demerits.
Maintenance of Z-table is easier than the INDX table. Say there is some error in the program & you want to override the flag. Will it be easier to do so in the INDX table or via SM30 for the Z-Table?
As a matter-of-fact i will recommend using the solution provided by Florian the TVARVC technique.
1. Create a parameter(specific to your program) & transport it.(See the trxn STVARV)
2. In your program check the value of this param & set it accordingly.
Using TVARVC you will 2 birds with one stone:
1. You don't have to create a custom table.
2. Easy maintenance via STVARV trxn.

Selection Screen getting refreshed after execution..
Hello All,
I have a strange problem..
My selection-screen values are getting refreshed after execution and come back to selection screen. I am using normal ALV Fm to display the values. Can some suggest a possible reason?

Why status is change every time after execution of VI??
Hello,
I am not much familiar with Modbus communication,
I got one problem regarding to Modbus that when ever run my vi then after execution the status of DO3 is always changed and jump to the Alarm mode.
In attachment I have attached my screen shots you will get more clear Idea about my problem.
In LHS there is software window and before connection that software with instrument normally I set my DO3 at status mode but when I run my vi in order to check the supply voltage and after execution when I again connect that software then DO3 status always change and its come to Alarm mode.
Can you tell me that why its happen so??
and what kind of changes I have to do in order to avoid this problem....

but still I am confuse about the mesurment of voltage generally i have to set like
1) when (Do3 and datalogger switch both are closed) wired is connected with DO3 and relay on data logger is closed then its shoud show me voltage less then 2V,
2)DO3 is open and datalogger is connected then voltage shoud be near to V+ (12v in my case)
3)both are open then output shoud be 0V
4)datalogger is open and DO3 is closed then voltage shoud be V+
and in above four case i have problem in 1st case only...other 3 are working OK
will you please guide me that is ther any change I have to do in data logger and what king of settign I have to to in order to get desired Output.
I am not much familier with Data logger,i have read datasheet regarding to this and i am using Agilent Data logger 34970A.

CDHDR table is not updated after execution of transaction CK 24
Hi Experts ,
I am Triggering my workflow from for CK 24 transaction based on the change document entry from CDHDR table , once the CK24 transaction executes .
Now the problem is after execution of the CK24 transaction now its not updating the table CDHDR, which was happening before .
Note: No customization has been made which can affect this updation .
Can any body please guide me on this , why the standard table is not being updated now with the change document entries .

IN CDPOS you have to give the same thing as CDHDR. You have to search with the respective Object class and provide the Object Id(Key fields like Document number). Another thing you will also get the change document number from the transaction itself from which you are change the Document.

Execution method of report created using Web Intelligence
Hi everyone,
Could anyone please let me know of the way data in a report created as web intelligence document is refreshed? Is it real-time data each time the report is executed or do I have to explicitly hit the "Refresh" button in order to get latest data?
In case data is cached and renewed only when "Refresh" is clicked, which execution of the report is taken for the cache - let's say in case 100 users access the same report.

MariaYou don't have to refresh every time there is new data, it is real-time. It should automatically refreshed.
if your universe is created on the BI query, in BI there is caching you can enable in rsrt and that will take care of it. I am not sure if there is any caching mechanism in Webi.

Report script execution is getting failed
Hi ,
We are facing one strange issue while executing the Essbase report script. I am new to the report script and I am not getting how to resolve the issue.
When we are changing the year in code from FY13 to FY14 the script is getting failed however the same script is successfully generating the report if we keep year as FY13 in code.
Could you please let me know where would be the problem , below is the part of the code form Report script.

"Report Script execution Failed. Please see message panel for details " and in message panel It is not showing any details , just displaying Execute Report script Failed with date and time details.
I also checked that FY14 do exist in the application and no duplicate FY14 member exist in the outline.

In VL10A tcode after execution in section scr "Incorrect factory calendar"

Returning to same tab after execution
I have a selection screen with 6 tabs. After execution, the screen always returns to the first tab. This is very annoying to my users and potentially can cause mistakes on re-running the application. Does anyone know of a way to go back to the same tab that was open when the program was executed?

ThanksIn Reports 6i, Reports Distribution was introduced. This allows you to run the report once and output to a number of destinations with a different format. It also allows you to distribute individual sections within a report to different destinations in different formats.
The Destinations for a Report to distribute to are defined either in a distribution file and passed on the command line or inside of the report definition.
To add a destination to the the report definition, bring up the property palette against the report object and then select the "Distribution" property under the "Report" node. This will bring up a dialog that allows you to create a distribution list. You can then test this list by selecting "file->distribute" from the menu.
To run a report that is to be distributed through rwrun60, you need to add "distribute=yes" to the command line. It will pick up the destinations from the report definition. If you add "destination=<filename>" then it will pick up the destinations from the specified "<filename>" and ignore the destinations in the report definition.
Note: if "distribute=yes" is specified on the command line then the destype/desname/desformat parameters will be used to format the report (ie: which printer/display to use during formatting for sizing objects) but will be ignored when the report is sent to the destinations.
