Execution of multiple workflow items in inbox

Weu2019d like to have the possibility to approve more than 1 work item at the same time (same task). We can select more than 1 item but when we approve, we still have to approve each one of them. In the personal workflow settings I couldnu2019t find the option "Transfer of Execution to Other Work Items Possible". I also check in customizing u201CChange Presettings for Personal Workflow Settings - Further settingsu201D but I donu2019t find this option.  Do I need to change something else in the customizing (release 6.4 - 6405.5.23.1024)?
Thanks for your help

Giulia,
This is not possible via SBWP. However you can always create a custom program. The program will collect and show workitems pending for current user.
You can show the list in a tabular form. User can select more than 1 item.
Once selection is over you can approve the workitem via the program.
However there is some catch - some hardcoding will be needed.
This is because the program should know what options a particular decision task provide. For eg, 1 task could give only approve as option whereas other may give as approve and reject both,
You can also put task specific settings in custom table to secure future workflow additions. Need to put some logic in your program to handle that.
I do not have access to system at present. Try searching for FMs to get workitems in the inbox.
Hope this helps

  • Workflow opens multiple workflows item types

We have a small workflow, when I open it from database, it opens multiple other workflow item types which are not
    related to the process.
Can anybody tell me how to remove the links between these item types.
    thanks

I have a custom workflow process, while developing it we might have used some activities from oracle standard worflow process(PO Standard), now whenever I open the custom workflow process it opens the standard process with it. Same thing happens when deploying the process to database.
Is there a way to remove the connection between the two item types.

  • Not able to recieve Workflow item in inbox

    Hi,
Iam working on the issue related to TRIP transacion.
Actually the scenario is , User will fill all his expenses and save it in tcode TRIP and after saving workflow will be triggered which will sent for the approval to the Manager.
The issue is when the user ( USER1) saves all his trip expenses , his manager (MANAGER)  is unable to recieve any mail in his Inbox.Actually this is happening from the last 3 days.
Previously the approver has receieved mails in inbox.
Can any one tell me what might be the reason?
I have checked for Agent Name , but it is dynamic.( not a constant)
    Helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks & reagrds,
    Naveen

    Hi Naveen!
When you say 'mail in his Inbox', do you mean email (that goes to Lotus Notes/Outlook) or workitem (that goes to SAP inbox). I assume that you are talking about workitem that goes to SAP inbox (which can be accessed thru SBWP).
Can you tell us what do you see in the log? Do you see any agents under 'Agents' in the workflow log? Is this problem happening only with a particular manager/set of managers? It could be a Role issue, but if you could provide some more information then it would be helpful.
    Regards,
    Anwar.

  • SBWP - When delete items in Inbox the error is coming - Lock Entries (SM12)

    Hi Friends,
Whenever delete workflow items from Inbox (txn : SBWP), I am getting the below error.
Requested object is currently blocked by user <XXXXX>
    Diagnosis :
No lock can be granted by calling a function module, as enqueue another SAP transaction keeps blocking concerned.
Technical: C_ENQUEUE routine provides the following return codes:
    COLLISION_OBJECT = EMMARAE
    COLLISION_UNAME = CEMCONC
    System activity
The enqueue function module triggers the exception. If this exception was not intercepted by the application program, the SAP transaction is automatically interrupted.
    Procedure
Check the table blocking the user or transaction that maintains the requested block (Tools -> Administration ==> Monitors -> Entries blocking). Contact this user if necessary.
After this error, the item is deleted from the inbox. Then, when I go and check in SM12, there are 3 entries are created : 2 entries with Lock Mode as 'S' and one entry with Lock Mode 'E' in MARA table.
After refresh in RS12/SM12 tcodes, these 3 entries has gone.
Friends, can you kindly clarify why the above error message is coming while delete ? How to avoid this ?
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

  • GRC AC v10 SPM WF - Workflow Item not showing up in WF Inbox

    GRC AC v10 - SP12
The outlook email notification for the Workflow Item goes out, but there is nothing in the NWBC Inbox for the WF Item. Subsitution is setup correctly.
    Any ideas?
    -john

    Hi John
this is probably be a silly question but what substitution did you set up for ZFF_CTL_01? I assume the item is in that user's inbox. Which user is meant to be receiving?
I also noticed this KB article (1589130) which mentions the delegated person needs GRAC_REQ authorisation. Have you checked if security access issue?
There was also mention that the delegated approver does not appear in the MSMP instance runtime (your screen shot suggests same situation unless you have not set up the delegation). SP14 delivers the fix or refer to  1915928 - UAM: Delegated Approver is not visible in the Instance status
Possibly have a look at both of them to see if they resolve your issue.

  • Delete Workflow items from workflow inbox.

    Hello All,
We are using workflow in MSS for Compensation Management. As part of this an email will be sent to the managers when a compensation needs an approval. There are some workflow items under workflow inbox ( SBWP ) . How can I delete emails which I don't want to execute. I don't see any delete button. I can see delete buttons for the documents under inbox, but these emails that I want to delete are under workflow in Inbox.
Thanks a lot for your help and points will be rewarded for any helpful solution.
    Thanks,
    Chakri.

    Thank You Suresh,
You are refering to the emails in the inbox ( SBWP ) where I can delete my emails with the help of a delete button. But I am referring to the workflow items that are present under INBOX -> WORKFLOW. There is no delete button on these workflow items. If we execute these workflow items then they will be deleted automatically. I am looking for a solution by which I can delete (clean up) all the workflow items that are not executed from last year so that we can be ready for our compensation for this year.
    Thanks,
    Chakri.

  • How to configure portal inbox workflow item?

    Dear All,
I have a problem with my portal inbox. My workflow item in my development portal inbox is displaying differently from the production environment.
For example when the MSS user click on leave approval item in his inbox to approve a leave, my development portal is displaying the approval screen in a better view but the production is just displaying the backend sap inbox screen.
Anyone knows where I can configure this and is there any documentation for it. I suppose this is a UWL configuration right?
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Bryan

Hi Brian, that is the backend.. Transactions WFVISU seems to have some changes, what iview to display. This info is received when you register a system in the UWL Admin Console....
You could download the Config XML from Dev and import it to QA with a different name and higher prio and see if seomthing changes...

  • Mail.app multiple acct all items in inbox disappeared without a trace

Mail.app with multiple acct all items in inbox disappeared without a trace
    iCould account
    gmail account
    exchange account
In all accounts, the Inbox contents totally disappeared, gone without a trace.  Inbox shows 0MB used for each account.  The trash had stuff in it but it didn't have the inbox items.  Get Account Info shows all the other folders have items but nothing the side of the inbox.  What was werid was my mac was running slow even with an SSD things were crawling.  I noticed mail Activity window was processing but thought it standard processing, updating inbox etc.

Well thank goodness for time machine.  I was in mail app and clicked on time machine I was able to recover 2 inboxes, one with ~3400 and other with ~1800 messages.  However, time machine is now stuck for over 12 hours on 30,682 messages.  I was able to go back to a few days ago, it loaded all the messages. I was then able to select all of them (I pressed cmd-a) and in a few hours it was then able to process the select all and show me the restore button much like the other two small mail boxes.  But its been stuck at the "Click Restore to recover the 30682 selected messages" screen.  The 12+ hours its been busy hammering away at the disk and CPU.  From what I can see, it may just be trying to process it all.  The previous two smaller restores worked so I'm hoping this one works too.

  • Workflow - how to update multiple list items

Is it possible to update up to 3 list items with the same information using a workflow?  My scenario is where a company vehicle (registration number) has up to three drivers assigned to it - Driver Name 1, Driver Name 2 and Driver Name 3.   I
have two separate lists - one for vehicles (fleet list) and one for drivers (driver database).  In my workflow when an item is created or changed in the fleet list, I would like the current vehicle registration to be updated in all three driver records
in the driver database.  I am not sure if I can do this as I am unsure of what my unique look up would be as I need to be able to tie a vehicle registration to a driver name. Any advice would be much appreciated.

  • Removing 'Cancel and Remain Item in Inbox' Button from Workflow

    Hi,
When I create an option in workflow by default we get one option 'Cancel and Remain Item in Inbox' I think this option appears in ECC 6.0 & above. I want to remove this button from the workitem which is automatically appearing below my approve option.
Can anyone tell me how to remove this option.
    Thanks & Regards.
    Shweta

    Hi,
There is no standard way for hiding this option in the decision step (if I understand correctly what you mean). This has been "always" there - even before ECC 6. Basically this option is actually quite useful, if the user does not want to complete the task at the moment, and keep the work item in his inbox to return to it later.
If you really need to hide it, it will probably mean that you need to make your own version of the decision task (and the method). You can check/debug the code of the method, and see where you could hide the button. BUT if you just need to hide this button for one certain task, it might much easier to just create your own simple screen and use that instead of the standard decision "screen".

PS. Try to search this forum for some hints. I remember seen this same topic discussed quite a few times, and there has been quite clever solutions.

  • Workflow item

    Hi all,
I am working in CRM5.0 and have a workflow which is working fine.
But my requierment is to have Batch approval.
That is of there are 5 work item in Inbox and user select all 5 , then Credit memo screen is skip(which is configured in workflow) then all 5 are approved .
Means to say, Screen is not shown and there is a POP up which says do you want to approve all.And it approve all items.
In present scenario, I am getting a Pop Up which says multiple item select are smae do yuo wana approve thema ll?
If I say yes, still credit memo screen is coming multiple times. I want to have screen called once and approve all credit memo in one exeucte.
    Points will be rewarded...
Please see if any one has done this requierment earleir.

    John,
Try to ask this question on the BBP & Workflow Forums.
You may get the answer sooner if it is possible. As far as I know  in workflow it is not possible in standard SAP workflow technical settings.

    HI,
Instead of using BDC , why dont you make use of BAPI.
As you are on ECC, you can make use of BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2
Collect all your records based on PO # and pass them into line item table structure ORDER_ITEMS_IN.
    *--Logic something like this.
      loop at it_exceldata into l_line.
      loop at it_exceldata into l_so where bstkd_e eq l_line-bstkd.
*This will loop at all the same  PO#
*collect the data related into corr tables. and append
      endloop.
*Now you are outside the loop.
*Call the BAPI to update this SO
      delete it_exceldata where bstkd_e eq l_line-bstkd_e.
      endloop.
Also pass all the necessary data to header structure ORDER_HEADER_IN
Do not check for Sy-subrc at the end of execution.
Instead read the Return table with message type 'A' or 'E whichi means there is an error/abort in BAPI execution.
Remember to expicitly COMMIT_WORK after succesfull execution of BAPI using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
Please let me know , if you need more help in this
    Gary.

  • Dynamic CSV file name in target (Multiple workflow calling same dataflow with new global variable value)

    Hi their,
I have multiple data flows doing 90% of the process same. The difference is in source query where clause and target flat file.
I used the global variables to dynamically change the query where clause easily, but I need help in dynamically changing the target flat file (CSV file).
What I want to do is have multiple workflows, which will first set the global variable to new value in the script box and then call the same data flow.
Please let me know if you have any solution or any idea which might put me in the direction to my quest for solution.
    thank you,

Hi Raj - in your content conversion for lineitem .. read the additional attribute as well.
Change your source strcture and additional field company_code
As you are already sending the filename for each line item using the UDF.. it's just you need to modify your UDF to take another input i.e. Company Code.
    or
If your PI version is > 7.1 use the graphical variable to hold the filename..
and while sending the company code information for every item just use the concat function to append filename & company code..

  • Select query in case of Multiple line items

    Hi Gurus ,
I've a doubt in general SQL select query. I want to know , if suppose I've an internal table - itab . I've fetched G/L Account numbers 1st, based on the input selections . Next , I want to loop on those G/L accounts. However, if the G/L account has multiple line items, then I personally use this select query -- >
    loop at itab.
select <field> from <table> appending corresponding fields of  <itab1> where hkont eq itab-hkont.
    endloop.
Now, the execution time for this query is longer than expected. The biggest problem here is, i've to sum up the totals as well. So totaling is an added load. I want to reduce the execution time of this. Kindly suggest me some good method in case u have any.
I've pasted the code which I've written , for u ppl to understand--
    SELECT DISTINCT HKONT BELNR
      FROM BSIS
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE OTAB
        WHERE HKONT IN S_RACCT
    *      AND PRCTR IN P_PRCTR
          AND MONAT IN S_POPER
          AND BUKRS EQ P_BUKRS
          AND GJAHR EQ P_GJAHR
          AND PRCTR IN S_PRCTR.
***The code below takes a lot of time to execute.***
    LOOP AT OTAB .
      SELECT DMBTR HKONT
FROM BSIS APPENDING CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE CREDITS
        WHERE HKONT EQ OTAB-HKONT
          AND BELNR EQ OTAB-BELNR
          AND MONAT IN S_POPER
          AND BUKRS EQ P_BUKRS
          AND GJAHR EQ P_GJAHR
          AND PRCTR IN S_PRCTR
          AND SHKZG EQ 'H'.
      COLLECT CREDITS.
    ENDLOOP.

    Hi,
First of all try to avoid doing select into corresponding fields. THis would improve the performance of the program.
Try to do a single fetch from the BSIS table . fetch the hkont, belnr, dmbtr fields in to a master internal table. Manipulate and play with the data as required.  Don't hit the data base table more than once (unless it is required) . This would improve the performance of your code.
    Try to code this way.
    types: begin of ty_bsis,
                 hkont type hkont,
                 belnr type  belnr_d,
                 dmbtr type dmbtr,
              end of ty_bsis.
data: it_bsis type standard table of ty_bsis,
             wa_bsis type ty_bsis,
    select hkont belnr dmbtr
              from bsis
              into table it_bsis
              WHERE HKONT IN S_RACCT
            AND PRCTR IN P_PRCTR
              AND MONAT IN S_POPER
             AND BUKRS EQ P_BUKRS
             AND GJAHR EQ P_GJAHR
              AND PRCTR IN S_PRCTR.
Using the data availabe in the it_bsis, you can manipulate as required.
    Hope this would be helpful
    Regards
