Execution reportbuilder.exe blocked by applocker

Hi,
We try to run reports from our asp.net webapplication. On the client machines, MS Applocker is installed. It allows only to run applications which are installed in Programs directory. If we call now the sql server reporting services url, it downloads an
executable reportsbuilder.exe. This exe is stored by default in the users appdata folder.
Is it possible, to avoid the download (f.e. If reportbuilder.exe is already installed in c:\programs)?

According to your description, you want to avoid downloading ClickOnce report builder.
In Reporting Services, the ClickOnce version of Report Builder is installed with SQL Server 2014 Reporting Services (SSRS). It is located on the report server, and installs on the computer when we click the Report Builder button in Report Manager or click
the Report Builder Report option on the New Document menu in a SharePoint library. ClickOnce is a Microsoft technology for deploying Windows applications. So for your requirement, it can’t be achieved currently.

CoreSync.exe blocks all network traffic while (slowly) syncing my Creative Cloud files

Hello folks,
Since the latest Creative Cloud update (I'm using version 1.9.0.465 as of this writing), I've been unable to successfully sync my Creative Cloud Files folder.
First things first, as other forum users have posted elsewhere, when the update installed itself, my Creative Cloud Files folder was moved from my chosen location to its default location (C:\Users\MyUserName) and I've been unable to put it back where I wanted it.
However, more pressingly, I noticed that every time I booted my computer, neither my wife nor I were able to access the Internet. After a couple days' trial and error I realized that Creative Cloud was trying (unsuccessfully) to sync about seven files (totaling about 750MB) to the cloud, and anytime the sync was actively working, my network access was completely blocked. Even the Creative Cloud desktop app itself couldn't access the Internet to authenticate my apps or Typekit fonts.
I have managed to get much smaller files (1MB, 5MB, up to 15MB) to sync successfully, however this takes a really long time, and no one on my network can manage to load a web page on their device until the sync is complete.
Right now I've got syncing paused, and everything on my network is working fine.
For some additional info, I've attached a screen grab of my Networking tab from Task Manager:
The big spikes in that graph are me and my wife loading up tons of web content-- YouTube videos, a million tabs of who-knows-what, all acting normally. Then I hit Resume on CC's sync operation, my activity line clamps way down, and no one can load any Internet content anywhere. After that, I released my computer's IP address from the command prompt, at which point Creative Cloud Desktop returned a connection failure, and I quit the app. When I renewed my IP address, I noticed our network access was still blocked, even though Creative Cloud was not running. I traced the problem back to CoreSync.exe, which had continued running even after I'd quit Creative Cloud. The moment I ended the CoreSync.exe process, everything was back to normal... until I restarted the Creative Cloud app, which in turn restarted CoreSync.exe. It was only after pausing CC's sync operation that we were able to use the Internet again.
So! To sum up, here are my two issues:
Syncing is entirely broken, and prevents everyone on my network from using the Internet while CC spins its wheels.
For some reason, following the same update, I'm unable to change the location of my Creative Cloud Files folder.
Some things I've tried:
Uninstalling & reinstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop app-- no change
Clearing my archived files on creative.adobe.com in case there was some weird argument happening between my live/syncing files and my archived files-- no change
Manually adding CoreSync.exe to my Windows Firewall whitelist-- no change
Finally, I can recreate this issue on my second computer, running the same version of Creative Cloud but running off wireless instead of Ethernet. Same symptoms-- feed it a file to sync, and everyone's Internet access is gone until the sync operation [eventually] finishes.
I'm completely stumped and very frustrated. I rely heavily on CC's file syncing feature, and as it's the only cloud storage product I'm actually paying for, I'm not willing to abandon it for another service like DropBox. I'm willing to try just about anything-- and in the meantime I'm just wishing Creative Cloud Desktop app updates weren't compulsory; the last build I'd installed here was working perfectly fine.
My basic system specs in case it's helpful:
Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1
2x Intel Xeon E5-2670 @ 2.6GHz
64GB DDR3 RAM
nVidia Quadro 4000

Thanks so much for your reply and suggestions. Here's what I've discovered after some more noodling.
I'm no networking guy, but I can't seem to find anything about my modem or router that would explain why my upstream traffic is being throttled using CC-- especially since it's all the same hardware I was using last week before I updated CC.
In addition, I've tried test uploading a couple of files using DropBox, Google Drive, and WeTransfer.com, and neither process interrupts Internet use on my network.
With all that said, I did go in and pull back my Transfer Speed settings in CC from Maximum to Low, and that made a big difference! Syncing continued to work, and our other network requests were working just fine. I managed to get my upload speed set as high as Medium; High and Maximum both kill my network within seconds of being set.
So I'm not sure what was done to the CC application in this release to supposedly enable us to "Sync Files and Fonts faster" (from the release notes), but whatever it is, it's got my uploads capping at 100Kbps (compared to a minimum 350Kbps using Google Drive) unless no one in my home wants to check their email for the next hour. That's a significant bummer for me, as my After Effects projects regularly swell to ~50MB toward the end of a project.
I'd like to submit a big report here, since really the only variable at play in this situation was the Creative Cloud update. However, unfortunately it looks like the bug report form is down... I'll have to try again later.
In the meantime, if there are any other suggestions for experiments I can run on this beast, I'm happy to oblige and report back in case other folks with similar issues can get some relief!

Transaction execution time and block size

Hi,
I have Oracle Database 11g R2 64 bit database on Oracle Linux 5.6. My system has ONE hard drive.
Recently I experimented with 8.5 GB database in TPC-E test. I was watching transaction time for 2K,4K,8K Oracle block size. Each time I started new test on different block size, I would created new database from scratch to avoid messing something up (each time SGA and PGA parameters ware identical).
In all experiments a gave to my own tablespace (NEWTS) different configuration because of oracle block-datafile size limits :
2K oracle block database had 3 datafiles, each 7GB.
4K oracle block database had 2 datafiles, each 10GB.
8K oracle block database had 1 datafile of 20GB.
Now best transaction (tranasaction execution) time was on 8K block, little longer tranasaction time had 4K block, but 2K oracle block had definitly worst transaction time.
I identified SQL query(when using 2K and 4K block) that was creating hot segments on E_TRANSACTION table, that is largest table in database (2.9GB), and was slowly executed (number of executions was low compared to 8K numbers).
Now here is my question. Is it possible that multiple datafiles are reasone for this low transaction times. I have AWR reports from that period, but as someone who is still learning things about DBA, I would like to asq, how could I identify this multi-datafile problem (if that is THE problem), by looking inside AWR statistics.

As you change the block size, identical parameters DON'T necessarily result in the same configuration. Typically a large change in response time turns out to be due to changes in execution plan, and this can often be associated with different configuration. Did you also check that the system statistics were appropriately matched (which doesn't mean identical cross all databases).

What do you mean by "hot" ? Is E_TRANSACTION a partitioned table - if not then it consists of one segment, so did you mean to say "blocks" rather than segments ? If blocks, which class of blocks ?

As SB has pointed out there are some aspects of extent allocation that could have an effect - roughly speaking, extents for a single object go round-robin on the files so if you have small extent sizes for a large object then a tablescan is more likely to result in larger (slower) head movements if the tablespace is made from multiple files.
If the results are reproducible, then enable extended tracking (dbms_monitor, with waits) and show us what the tkprof summaries for the slow transactions look like. That may give us some clues.

Persistent open 'Bridge.exe' blocking uninstallations and installations

Hi,
A while back, I used a legit purchased CD to update my Photoshop CS5 on a previous Windows laptop, which I have just replaced. I also have Dreamweaver and Lightroom CD's that are not update versions that I wish to install on the new machine. When I tried using the update CD with the associated serial number, I got the message that an appropriate prerequisite program could not be found, and was asked if I'd prefer using it as a trial. Rather than wade through the matter on my old laptop, I said yes and installed it as a trial. Fine.
Then, when I tried to install Dreamweaver, an error came up saying I'd have to close Bridge in CS5.1 "Bridge.exe" to proceed. All the PS files were closed, still no go. I then tried to uninstall the PS and got the same error that I'd have to close "Bridge.exe" which, for the life of me, I can't imagine where it is open. I once tried to delete Bridge after doing a search, but somehow,that didn't solve the problem.
The other problem is that on the older machine, I fear (without delving further) I've uninstalled the benchmark PS program to save space. I do not have the earlier PS disk with me as I'm at another location now. But I would still like to use DW on my new machine. Yet I'm blocked by the persistent 'Bridge.exe' open message.
Much as I'd like, I'm not able to purchase a new full-flegeged PS, and want to install the other Adobe programs, for which I have disks. Any ideas on how to work around these issues so that I can use the update PS and install full feature DW and LR on the new machine (A Lenovo 770g--if that helps)?

Hi,
It is possible that the bridge process is running in the background which is causing this problem.
On Windows, please follow the following steps to fix the issue:
1. Navigate to the task manager. (can be done by right clicking on the taskbar and clicking on taskmanager).
2. In the task manager dialog, click on Processes at the top.
3. Then click on Show processes from all users. (this is at the bottom of the dialog)
4. In the list of processes, look for bridge.exe.
5. Select bridge.exe and click on end process.
Try the installation / uninstalling after this.

itunes will not open and I get a message that the "Data Execution Prevention (DEP)" feature in Windows is preventing it from opening. (this is after I've been using itunes for years???? If I try to manually deselect itunes from the DEP filter, of course I get a message that itunes cannot operate without the DEP active...another Catch 22 from the evil program designers....

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Execution of catch blocks in WS-BPEL

Hi,
If there are two faults thrown (say A & B) and correspondingly caught by two different catch blocks (CatchA & CatchB), then does these catch blocks execute in parallel or in sequence(if so how is the sequence defined). Further, is this behavior defined in WS-BPEL 2.0 standard or is it implementation dependent.
I would be grateful if someone could please help me out on this.

By the way: 10.1.3.1 uses BPEL 1.1 and not BPEL 2.0. So why do you ask for BPEL 2.0?

Need urgent help. Execution of .exe files by calling from java program

This program can execute small .exe files which donot take inputs. But does not work for exe files that take input and just hangs. What could be the problem. If anyone helps me I would be very grateful.

Problem in static block execution

i have a class which has a static block and a static method.For the first time i call the static method in the class its strange that its excuting a part of the static block and entering the method later and agian turning back to static block.
but for the secon time when i call the static method in that class its fine that static block is not executed..

if u look at the output after " Inside static block of Plasma Log Services" (part of static block) its enetering method where " File in method is:vdvd" is printed .
After some debugging i came to know that if i remove the line
file=PropertyProvider.getProperty(propFilename,"Log4jprops"); and replace it by file="log.properties";(mean hardcoded) then the static block executes and later that method executes.
can any one pls help me in this regard???

The first time you instantiate a class
LogServices, it's static block is being
executed.
After you've instantiated the class, you call its
static method.
If you call the static method again, the
LogServices have their static block already
executed, so it won't be executed again.
I think that the execution of static block and static
method is not mixed, as you thought. I think it is
rather a logging issue. Most loggers do not guarantee
that logging-messages are output in correct order.

tahnks for ur reply and i got that .the problem was in the propertyprovider class i had a static variable logger =PlasmaLogservices.initLog() ; and hence after that it was by passing to that static method and coming back again .

Exe-file will not execute on doubleclick

I am working with windows 7 home premium service pack 1, 64 bits
and visual C# 2010 express
I had no problems creating window Forms Applications.
To invoke the application on my desktop I use a link to the project-map\bin\release\program.exe
double-click will start the program. But not with this particular program, double-click on the file
has no response and will not show on the windows taskmanager. But this program will run in the microsoft visual C#
express environment, no warnings no errors. I am giving no specific C# code because I think it is not the code since it
runs in the C# graphic interface.
Please help me solve this...

Make sure any antivirus or antimalware programs you may have installed isn't/aren't
blocking the execution of your exe. You can try running it with the AV/AM app
temporarily turned off, or list your exe or the dir it's in in the "Exclusions"
for the AV/AM program.
Since each new exe you create is unknown to all AV/AM apps, most will have to do a
heuristic/behavioral analysis of the exe - possibly in a virtual environment (sandbox)
before allowing it to run. If something suspicious (false positive) is detected,
execution may be blocked.
Also make sure UAC isn't preventing it from running - use "Run as administrator".

Blocked file after downloading iTunes on Windows XP

I have downloaded the iTunes onto my Windows XP from apple.com/ipod/start. However, each time I try to open file, I get the same message: "Windows found problem. Unknown publisher. iTunes set-up.exe, blocked file." I am so frustrated!!! I bought an iPod Nano for my 11-year-old for his birthday and haven't been able to access a thing! Please help. Since I am "new" to this whole iPod thing, I need explicit instructions on how to fix the problem. Thanks for your help!

EXE not writing to TDMS files

Hi folks,
I am using LabView 8.20 on a Windows XP machine. The application generates TDMS data files and all works fine in the development environment. When I compile the TDMS files are not written to correctly. The files are created (I can see them appear in the folder at the appropriate time) but no data is written to them.
The app uses absolute paths to the files, so the issue with stripping the extra layer off the EXE path does not apply.
I have USI installed.
Any ideas how I can look deeper into this, or if this is a know bug that has been solved?

I have some similar problem, but I have problems in the both execution modes, exe and in developmen mode, i send the basical example of code, and the tdms file result, at start, work properly, but in some moment the tdms writer rutine "is out" and don´t work, but after some time, in some times short time(some seconds), at other times very long time (hours), the rutine himself restart to work, !!!!incredible!!!!!
