Exercise files for cs5 series

I am no longer able to open my exercise files for cs5 after trying the free trial for the cc series. A window pops up asking me if I want to buy cc.

Hello, your machine is not connected to the net? Usually, it is best to download the help after install, then disconnect from the net, but I understand that there are some machines that cannot be connected at any moment.

  • Where can I find PDF Help files for CS5?

I have CS5 Design Standard ( without extended Photoshop) and I need to get the PDF help files for the component applications.  I have tried entering CS5 Help Files and variations of that theme in the search box here at Adobe forums  and get many things about CS6 and no Help files for CS5. The search tool here should be googleized or something.  2many adds for new things 2 buy not enough help for what you already bought.

    Hi,
Here's another link for Ps CS5 PDF help:

  • Where can I find the exercise files for AdobeTV??

  • 9 downloaded install files for CS5.5... what install order, Todd?

Just got my license approval for CS5.5 and am downloading it from the Adobe licensing site... When I clicked to download the Master Collection CS5.5, I was given a whole bunch of files to download. After leaving out the 32-bit CS4 versions of things, I was left with 9 files... anybody know which order to install these in? Nothing in the download help files told me where to start or how to continue...
    I have:
    Master Collection CS5.5 Installer (exe) 1MBMaster Collection CS5.5 Content (7z) 5.1GB
    Production Premium/Master Collection CS5.5 Content (exe) 175MB
    After Effects 10.5 Content Installer (exe) 1MBAfter Effects 10.5 Content (7z) 744MB
    InDesign Family Content (exe) 156MB
Premiere Pro CS 5.5 Content Installer (exe) 1MBPremiere Pro 5.5 Content (7z) 2.5GB
    Illustrator 15.1 Content (exe) 120MB
I'm guessing that the exe files will access the content in the 7z files, so no need to worry about the 7z files. I'm also quite sure that the first exe file comes first. But is there a specific order to all the following files? I suppose I could just wait till my install discs get here next week, but I'm kinda impatient!
Also, I'm assuming that, as with previous versions, there's no need to uninstall CS5.0.3 before installing this one? Can 5.0.3 be safely uninstalled later if I want it to be? I know there's probably answers to those two questions buried deeply here back in the summer when 5.5 first came out, but I'm feeling kinda lazy this morning. So if nobody answers those two I'll get my lazy butt in gear and go look!

Oh. Bummer. It'd be nice if Adobe would make that notation on their site, then... I've already downloaded everything else. Oh well. At least I'm on a 50mbps fibre connection. 15 minutes left on the MC download, and I can rock it!

  • Packaging InDesign CC file for CS5 user

We just upgraded to InDesign CC (9.2), but the graphic designer I work with uses CS5.  I need to package some files for her but do not know how to do it so that she will be able to access a compatible file.  Thanks.

Package it. Close the file and then open the one in the package. File > Save as and change the type to InDesign CS4 or later (IDML).
You should probably send a PDF as well since the chances of a perfect conversion are close to zero. If that file is getting returned to you, you are in for a world of pain trying to work this way.

  • Help file for CS5 not available on Win 7 64bit

    Hi,
I try to display the help file from within PS CS5 and that is not working. I can neither watch the community help online nor download it for offline use since the app seems unable to connect to a working online source.
It shows "The requested URL /de_DE/Photoshop/cs/using/AH_HOME.html was not found on this server."
All apss have been updated to the newest release, everything else is working fine.
I use Win 7 64bit German, PS is also installed in German.
    Any ideas?
Using a browser the help content is reached via URL http://help.adobe.com/de_DE/photoshop/cs/using/index.html
Maybe the software is looking for AH_HOME.html in error instead of index.html.
    Nachricht geändert durch Beholder003

    Hallo Beholder (und hfuhr)
(wir sprechen ja alle deutsch ... ;-)
Ich habe nun beschlossen, "not to waste my time".

  • Local help files for CS5 products (Illustrator in particular)

I have read through the discussions, but I want to find a SIMPLE, STRAIGHTFORWARD way to set up my CS5 programs to access help files locally, rather than through the web.
    - I have found .PDF help files online, but there is no apparent way to link them to the program, and it did not come up as an option during installation.  References to setting up a help-related .XML file neglect the fact that, at least in my installation, the .XML does not exist, so I suspect the program does not point to it ...
Any helpful comments, including knowledge that I cannot access local help from within the program and should stop looking, would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Monty Wood

  • Dreamweaver exercise file for the adobe tv projects

I found them by Googling the title of the video which brought me here and I found the files. They should definitely be linked to the AdobeTV episode. Usability fail, Adobe.

  • Firmware file for TL515U Series?

I'm getting the messages: "The software upgrade was unsuccessful" when I try to update the firmware on my new 55TL515U.  Does anyone have the firmware file available that I can download to a formatted USB flash drive?  The Toshiba site only has a PDF instruction file to download, not the firmware file itself.  Any help would be appreciated.

Computersteve, that is exactly what is happening to mine - it locks up ever time I try to setup wireless or connect to a network cable.  It also locks up if I turn to an antenna-channel that doesn't have video, only snow.  I already mentioned that they sent me another remote instead of the firmware-loaded flash drive they promised.  After calling back, I was first told that they'd get it ordered for me again, but then was called back several times with the same story: "our ordering dept does not have this firmware available"...."the firmware is on the support website".  I politely informed them that the firmware is NOT on the support website, only the PDF instructions that describe how to update using the TV - a total catch-22, since our TV's crash when connecting.  What's crazy is the same "case manager" kept on calling me back and telling me the same thing.  I asked why in the world they don't just check the website and see for themselves, rather than blindly following some uneducated claims.  I have no choice but to return the TV now, since I'm not getting any kind of support.  Toshiba has lost a customer and a sale.

  • How can I include downloadable exercise files with my iBook?

I want to create an iBook that has practices for students.  Can I provide exercise files for the students to use as a part of the iBooks purchase or do I have to setup an external file download site?

You can  use Dropbox or similar  "cloud" storage. upload your files and make an hyperlink in your  book pages.

  • Plugins and twain for CS5

I spent four hours trying to find the plugins and twain drivers for CS5 that the "read me" file for CS5 said was available for download. They even gave a link for them.  Finally called them and spent another hour and and a half on the phone and was transferred three times just to find out they have not put them online yet.  THANKS GUYS.  Why don't you put them up "before" telling people that they are there.
Also, why were these features taken out.  It is kind of like buying a new car and when they deliver it the radio is missing and they tell you to come back in a couple of days and look in the back of the parking lot for it and put it in yourself.  Then when you you can't find they say "oops, we forgot to put it there."
Anyway does any one know when "picture package, web photo gallery, twain and other old wonderfull plugins" are going to be available?
If you use these features you might as well wait to buy CS5!

That's really the point--the problem isn't so much that Adobe didn't have the TWAIN/extras plugin pack ready to go at CS5 launch (though I'd much rather they did), it's that the most obvious link to said pack:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/ps_cs5_plugins_mac_en
...doesn't lead to a placeholder page that says "These plugins aren't available yet, please be patient."  ...or better yet "...fill out this form to get an email when they are ready for download."  Heck, it doesn't even lead to a 404--it immediately (and confusingly) redirects to the Adobe home page.  It's that an official URL for the product exists and is linked from more than one place, but doesn't have anything there to tell people what's up when they use the built-in Help feature and click on it.
Thus, when I did a search from within CS5 for TWAIN, it came up with an article that answered my question exactly.  I clicked the link, and ended up at the Adobe home page.  "Huh?  Oh, I guess I have to search for it myself..."  A half hour wasted later I finally surmised that, indeed, it just wasn't available for download yet.  Launch weekend, I suppose that's understandable.  A week later, I'd at least expect a placeholder.  (And I never did find the above-linked document that does explain what's up in my own searching--I just got the helpful-but-useless help page I linked).
I also wish I'd known about this before I started my 30 day trial; for all I know it's going to be over a month before the plugin is ready, which would mean I would have to buy CS5 without having any idea whether the TWAIN interface is going to be so crash-prone as to be useless, or just fine.

  • Where are the tutorial exercise files?

Where are the exercise files referred to in the photoshop tutorials?

Most of the video tutorials on AdobeTV won't have excercise files to go along with the video. If they do, they'll be listed under "Show More Details" in the About This Episode section.
There are a few resources you can use if you'd like to follow tutorials with exercise files to go along with the steps.
Lynda.com is a great resource for learning Photoshop. To have full access to the learning tools you have to buy a subscription, but many of their lessons have accompanying exercise files.
    http://blog.fitnyc.edu/technology/2010/11/11/exercise-files-for-lyndacom/
You might also look into Level Up for Photoshop. It's a plugin that you download and open in Photoshop that guides you through step-by-step tutorials within the actual program. All of the exercise files for Level Up are included when you download the plugin.
    Hope this helps! Good luck
