Exhange calendar meeting accepted, shown as tentative

Dear BlackBerry,
I have the following problem with the new 10.1.0.273 OS version.
Whenever I accept a meeting invite, it sends back a tentative message to the sender... I have had emails from clients asking me why I have only tentatively accepted.
I connect through Exchange ActiveSync, our server is Exchange 2007.
Thanks,
Kristof

with my Z10 i was able to accept a meeting with BES 10 and Exchange 2010 SP1 with latest MR

  • Meeting Acceptance Shows as Maybe in OS 3.0

I have my iPhone set up to sync mail, calendar and contacts with Microsoft Exchange. Since upgrading to iPhone OS 3.0 people have been telling me that some of my meeting "Acceptances" are showing up as "Tentative" as if I clicked "Maybe" instead of "Accept". This has happened a number of times and only since upgrading, so I know it's not just me clicking the wrong button. Has anyone else seen this problem? Any resolution?

Just to add some insight into my experience of this:
    1. An appointment arrives in your inbox (Outlook/Exchange adds it as tentative to your calendar.)
    2. You accept using Outlook (Clicking on the button displayed on the email in your inbox)
    3. The meeting gets marked as "busy", but then jumps back to tentative.
I can fix this, once the appointment has gone to tentative, by selecting it in the calendar view (in Outlook) and choosing accept (I opted not to send a reply).
At a guess the issue is around the automatic insertion as tentative in your calendar, I suspect the subsequent acceptance is some kind of "in place" edit. Where as changing it from the calendar view is a direct modification and hence sync'd correctly.

  • Only activities of the current calendar year are shown in plannend act.

    Hello Techies,
We are using the 2007 UI and I have the following problem. Only activities of the current calendar year are shown in plannend activities and interaction history.
SAP probably made a query only showing a set of data (current year) for performance reasons. I would like to change this in the last 6 months. My users can not see there activities of last week since it only shows 2009.
    How can this be changed?
    Kind regards.

You can control this by maintaining the view:
    CRMV_ACC_1O_CUST
    Or in the IMG:

  • Calendar meeting invites contain no information since update to 10.3.1.1565

    Hi All
If I receive a calendar meeting invite from Exchange users with Outlook 2010 to my Q10 device, and I open it, there are 3 tabs along the top of the screen, Details, People and Emails, but the rest of the screen has no information its just white, so I cannot see what time the meeting is or where it is etc.
Any ideas, suggestions, assistance greatly appreciated (urgently! 18 users involved)
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

After more troubleshooting with the user he reported the top of the calendar day view had the error "Some accounts failed to respond", he also had Hotmail account running and an AOL email account which he had not finished configuring. I suggested he delete the non corporate accounts and see what happens.
He reported that after deleting just the AOL account and restarting the Q10 the calendar and meeting invites were all ok!!

  • If you have multiple exhange calendars can you add appointments to any of them from ical?

We use Exhange calendars in Outlook 2010 which lets you add calendars beyond the default calendar. Do all of your exchange calendars sync with ical and can you edit any of them or only the default one?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your device should have it's screenlock enabled so that this can't happen, but if you haven't set a screenlock, then yes someone could do this.

  • Nokia E7 Calendar - Meeting request - define meeti...

    Dear All,
I'd like to buy a Nokia E7 mobile phone, but I don't have enough information about calendar meeting request capability. I didn't find detailed information in the user guide. There is feature in the specification: meeting request support. Can I define meeting attendees directly from the meeting request creation screen or only with an email attachement?
    Cuold you help me?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Best regards,
    jeneiz

Calendar management in Nokia E7 is a pathetic.. You can't select the receipent when creating an invite and you can't see the meeting attendee list of an existing calendar entry in your phone..
Overall, I liked the phone, but this particular function has spoiled my impression about it.

  • Outlook 2010 Calendar meeting appointment organizer issue

We are experiencing this major issue in our environment.
User creates a meeting appointment with multiple recipients (internal and external), when meeting accepted by multiple users; calender item's organizer field changes to only the organizer. Hence, user unable to add/remove any recipients in the "TO"
field although user is the organizer. Everything is grey-out. User can only see the recipients in the Scheduling Assistance but unable to edit anything.
Has anyone experienced this issue? any fixes?

    Hi,
I still have some questions about this issue:
    1. "calender item's organizer field changes to only the organizer" Isn't this expected?
    2. It seems the organizer doesn't have the permission to edit the meeting and the attendees, could you please confirm whether the organizer invited any distribution group which the organizer himself is a member of?
Please provide some screenshots about this issue too, like the "grey-out", this will help me understand the issue more clearly.

  • Iphone 5s calendar not accept entries after ios 7.1 update

after ios 7.1 update the iphone 5s calendar not accept entries but will accept entries from sync with outlook connection via my MS desktop outlook

So, sometimes you discover a "fix" totally by accident. I tried the following and it's worked for me 100% of the time so far. Any entries I make using this have appearded on my iPhone and on any device where I view my calendar. Hope this helps others:
    Open your calendar and then view it in the "month view";
Tap the hybrid view icon which is at the top to the left of the search icon at the top right of the screen; you'l see a list of the days activities at the the bottom of the screen.
Now, tap the "+" icon at the top to the right of the search icon. This will allow you to type in the event, time, date, etc that you want to enter.
Click "done" at the top right when finished. Now, you should see the event that you just entered at the bottom of the screen under the days activities. That should "stick" even if you close the calendar, or whatever. When I checked, it also showed up as it should on other devices. You can edit events, delete them, etc--it's worked for me.
I'm not sure why this worked--or what it's the only way to be able to enter an event since the move to iOS 7.1--but it's working for me--so why ask why??

  • Why when an invitation to share a calendar is accepted does it appear as tentative and not show up in calendar list?

I've sent an invitation to shar a calendar.  The invitation appeared in receiver's notifications and was accepted. However, the calendar is not appearing on the receiver's calendar list, and when I check my "sharing settings" the address is not checked as received by appears with a question mark to indicate tentative. How is that even possible when the invitation is only decline or accept?  I sent the samereceiver an invitation to a different calendar at the same time.  It was received, accepted and appears on the calendar list with a checked box and so appears on the receiver's calendar. Both calendar invitations were sentfrom the same computer, from the same sender, on the same day to the same receiver.  Both appeared in the receiver's notifications, both were accepted, one successfully and the other not.  Help.  I'm out of ideas.

Sorry if my explanation of the problem was not clear, but the HD's are fine. I have checked them using fsck, disk warrior, TechTool Pro. they are fine. The drives are not showing up at all, and SATA shows "no information" Once in a while SATA will start working again briefly, then just GO AWAY! And the PCI SATA card I installed acts the same way. I am leaving one HD in the logicboard and one in the PCI card and they both go away (not the whole PCI card, just the HD).
    Thanks for the reply.
OK, since you are also having things go away with the PCI SATA controller, this could be a problem with either (a) PCI-X bridge or (b) the U3 Memory controller, as they are the two things in the chain between the CPU and where you are having the problems.
Do you have other PCI cards in use? If so, then if you lose contact with them, that would be a clue.
On the other hand, you seemed to indicate that even when the Tempo lost the HD, you could still see the Tempo in System Profiler? If the Tempo is still shown in profiler, then, we have a real mystery on our hands. Of course, a system log file wouldn't help because you have lost it, unless you are booting from an external FW drive.
    Watson, the game is afoot.

  • Calendar Meeting Request Accepted Email bug

I have come across a possible bug with the BlackBerry Calendar feature. When I invited an attendee who has a BlackBerry Curve 8520 to a meeting with a reminder time of '0 min' with my BlackBerry Bold 9780 whilst holding both phones in my hand and accepting the meeting request on the Curve, the email that was sent back to my Bold indicated a reminder time of 'None'.
When I checked the reminder time on the Curve after this, it was set to '0 min.
Is this how meeting request approvals are supposed to be sent, indicating a reminder time of 'None' when the reminder time is set as '0 min'?

Calendar management in Nokia E7 is a pathetic.. You can't select the receipent when creating an invite and you can't see the meeting attendee list of an existing calendar entry in your phone..

  • ICal 5.0 ignores meeting acceptances ?!

    Problem Description
I send out meeting invitations to other colleagues within my organization (Exhange 2010 server) from iCal 5.0 (Lion 10.7.1).  When people are sending their reply, I can see the "accepted" in the e-mail subject, but double-clicking on the attached ics file only works for some people sometimes to show the "accepted" in my iCal event. In most cases, ical simply ignores the acceptances.
The problem is persistent and seems to be independent from where the mail is coming (MS Outlook, Mac OS X (e.g. iCal 4.), or any other e-mail/calendar client). I could not find any pattern yet.
Workaround, that works in some cases, but not always...
Now I tried/did the following: I saved the ics files and open them with a text editor. The ics reply that did not work had an extra line that started with COMMENT. I removed that line from the ics file that did not work, saved the ics file and double clicked on it. Now that invitee shows as well as "accepted" in iCal 5.0. GREAT I thought...
BUT, I got a reply from another person, who uses Outlook on an Exchange 2007 server. His ics file also showed that COMMENT line. I did the same as above, but this time nothing changed in iCal ??? I even changed "2007" to "2010" in the ics file, but still no change in the invitee status. Why ???
Since I have meetings every day and want to use iCal to handle them, I need some quick fix.  If I could change the state of the invitee manually, that would be a work-around as well, but not a solution. Does anybody know how that would work?
Any hints that could help me are highly appreciated.  No one to blame... just looking for a solution.

    Macobs30:
I have had this same problem and I search these boards often. You seem to be the only other person to have the same problem with getting iCal to accept and acknowledge sent acceptances. (How odd is that?)
Have you found something that works yet and/or did Zamian solve the problem?

  • Calendar Meeting Invite from Outlook 2010 to iCal

    Hello,
I am very VERY new to Macs and to be honest Calendar invites in general (Came from a Lotus Domino environment). I have come across an oddity that I am almost sure is related to the content of the .ICS file generated by Outlook and then sent to a mail user who uses an Apple Max OS X 10.7.3. (our Managing Director). It has resulted in me (IT for the company) buying an Apple Mac to try and troubleshoot. Sorrry for the Blurb
    Working Scenario is
    1. Use a Google email account and the Web interface to send a meeting invite to another Google homed account and that person uses a Mac as described.
    2. Invite arrives and is automatically available in iCal with a tentative meeting (grey) event PLUS the notification panel in iCal showing an alert.
    3. The notification Panel alert can then be used to Accept/decline the invite.
For the MD this is how he wants to work. As he gets numerous invites he can quickly scan down the notification alerts and access/decline as he goes. Rather than opening all of the email messages.
    Failing Scenario is
    1. Use an Outlook 2010 client to send the exact same invite to the same person at the same time (etc.)
    2. Invite arrives in the Mac mail Box. BUT DOES NOT trigger iCal's notification panel
    3. The Mac User needs to click on the attached .ICS file and if iCal is also visible you can see the notification alert appear
I have TextEdited both .ICS files and yes they are different. The general VCALENDAR elements are roughly the same but there differences with bits and pieces that a too numerous to mention. There is also all of the garbage with X- elements which I would think iCal will ignore anyway. I have tried hacking the failing .ICS when it arrives but that doesn't mimic the same type of flow and in the end I can't modify the .ICS files either as they are sent or arrive.
Yes, I have told the Outlook client to send using the iCalendar format for external recipients.
I was wondering if anyone had come across the same type of requirement or the same type of issue?
    thanks in advance
    Bruce.

I had the identical problem.  I still don't know how to sync the tasks, but here's how I did the contacts and calendar:
    1.  Connect the 4s to the computer.
    2.  Open iTunes.
    3.  Click the iPhone box in the upper right corner.
    4.  Click on the info tab.
    5.  Hit the checkbox Sync Contacts with... and choose Outlook from the dropdown box.
    6.  Ditto for Calendars.
    7.  Hit Apply.
My problem was that originally, I wasn't getting the checkboxes.  I turned off the iCloud settings on the 4s.  That did the trick.

  • Calendar, Meeting invitations -

I am using latest software version. I want to meeting invite to other contacts but the "invitees" option does not appear. Does anyone have a solution?

Same thing here. Running Exchange 2007 with current service packs. iPhones are all new 2009 3GS 16 GB models with iPhone OS 3.0.1.
Sometimes when the iPhone user accepts, the aceptance show up correctly on other user's calendars (i.e.; Outlook 2003 and Entourage 2008), but most of the time they appear as "tentative".
Removing an envent on the iPhone can only be done by pushing the "Decline" button, but this wont remove the even from the user's calendars in Outlook or Entourage.

  • Exchange calendar invitations accepted in IOS remain "new" in iCal

My work calendar and email is based on Exchange. I manage both from a Mac (using Outlook 2011 for Mac) and an iPhone 5 running IOS 7.latest.
It works just fine. If I accept an invitation on any platform is is accepted on all. Then I look at OSX Calender (which I will refer to as iCal) and I still see a mass of invitations (the ones that I accepted on my phone or using Outlook).
I use iCal because I share calendars with the rest of my family using iCloud. So that I can view my work and home calendars in one place, I have also set up iCal to see both iCloud and Exchange calendars.
The iCloud side of the house does what I want it to do. The problem comes with the way iCal deals with calendar invitations from my Exchange account. Here goes:
I receive an Exchange calendar invitation.
I process it (accept/tentative/decline) using Outlook on the Mac or the IOS Calendar on my iPhone.
The invitation on the device I didn't use goes away.
    I open iCal.
The "new" invitation is still there in iCal waiting to be processed, the only way to clear it is to accept/tentative/decline it.
I cannot find any setting to prevent this from happening. iCal seems to ignore changes in status of Exchange invitations.
Any ideas gratefully accepted! Thanks, Charlie

have had what I think is similar issue.... on both ipad and iphone.  Running IOS6.  Have gmail account setup through exchange connector.  IOS receives and accepts invites just fine from external devices....  If i create a new invite on the IOS device and add invitees with external email addresses, once this calendar invite is saved into the diary it doesnt trigger invites to go out to those 3rd parties... but the invite definitely is in the calendar as can also see it on mast google calendar.
If I then go and move the timing of the invite that has been created on the IOS device (by holding down and dragging to new time) this then immediately triggers an invite (new Invitiation, not reschedule) to be sent to the external email addresses...  any further modification to timing of invite then triggers 'reschedule' calendar invites to go out - so expected behaviour.
The issue is that IOS is not triggering the invite to go out to external parties who have been added to a newly created invite - and it only does this when the date/time of the invite is modified.
Spent about 1.5 hrs on phone to apple support yesterday - they have now passed on to 3rd level support....
Are others seeing the same behaviour as above?

  • Incorrect time in Live when calendar event accepted on iphone

When accepting a calendar entry on the iPhone, scheduled for 10:00 PST, it appears in the calendar at the correct time but when the calendar syncs back to Live (Hotmail Calendar) it shows up in live at 2AM, thus an 9 hour difference.
Me time zone support on the iphone is set for Los Angeles and my Live calendar preferences are set to Pacific Time.
Here is how the calendar event got on the phone. From work, I scheduled a meeting with my home e-mail address using Lotus Notes at work. The invitation arrived on my iPhone and I accepted it into my personal Live calendar. (I have two Live calendars, my personal and the US Holidays that sync to the iphone)
On the iPhone it shows the correct time but on Live it shows 9 hours earlier!
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
    Thanks
