Existing AT&T customer looking to upgrade to the 5. Switch to Verizon or stay grandfathered?

Hi - I've been with AT&T for just over 11 years now and I need to finally stop waiting and upgrade my old 3G before it no longer functions with any of my apps. I've been weighing the AT&T vs Verizon options and the winners change each time. Where I live (in VA 70 miles west of DC), Verizon's coverage map says it's LTE, but I would have to go 30 miles east of here to get it with AT&T... BUT I'd be gradfathered in under my old data plan if I stayed and hoped that LTE eventually made it out here. I really haven't ever used more than 1G of data in teh past year, but there wasn't much reason to with my old phone because the service was so slow outside of wi-fi. With the 5, I'd certainly be using more data. Another wrinkle is that I expect to be adding a tablet to the mix in the next year so I think that would force me to lose my unlimited individual plan anyway, right?
Verizon would be more expensive in the short term, but ther service should be faster and more reliable. I honestly don't get more than a bar of service at work and I have to walk outside of my house to confidently make a call using my current phone.
So... just looking for feedback. Are there any other jumpers out there who have switched for the 5? Regrets? Should I stick it out and hope for better from the Death Star in 2013 or jump now. I've tried to get honest answers from reps, but they're always going for the sale so the results have been mixed.
Also, my billing cycle just started 4 days ago and i asked if I'd be forced to pay for a full month if I left now or if my charges would be pro-rated. I was told, "oh, then you'd better stay because you'll have to pay us (AT&T) and them for the same month.. just sty, it's easier."

Looking to upgrade graphics card on early 2009 Mac Pro

I'm a Final Cut Pro, Motion user looking to upgrade from the standard NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 on my early 2009 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro.
Between the ATI Radeon 5770 and 5870 which card is preferable for video work? Is the 5870 worth the extra money for what I do? Are both of these cards compatible with my machine?

In my usage experience, the current generation of Final cut studio doesn't benefit much from the jump from a 5770 to a 5870. Barefeats.com benchmarks back this up more or less.
I think in the long run, with GPGPU and push towards openCL, the 5870 is worth the extra $200 if buying a new mac pro -
if you are upgrading an old mac pro, you'd have to decide.
The 5770 will be so much faster than the GT120 running Motion, I know you would be content with that.

Hello. I can easy remove on Windows FF 29 or FF 30 and its slower on fast computer. But its affected by millions of users. With FF 28 it was allways fast.
Why fast? I dont know but its SLOW Now any version after FF 28.
Since FF 29 FF loads and hangs very very slow each time loading, starting, or changing tabs. It is making problem for everyone and now everyone calls with help- "why computer is slow.. oh its FF? Chrome? Chrome was slow but now its not the slowest one?"
Very colorfull Example- one comp is 10" and its very very very very low specs. So it wont run at all.
Now on small comp we can try linux and FF BUT no matter what OS just couldnt get back with any plugins back normal speed. Since FF 29 its very very very slow and that needs to have a solution. Today came update and still unneded custom menu button and its slowness hasnt been removed (unnoticed) so it needs a fix so it works for people who are not just for browsing internet buying new computer and cant get any faster speed then Chrome since now theres no FF anymore.
SO- How to do that on Windows and Linux- installing FF 28 and making it never upgrade
OR even better- Making a package that already has this update disbled setting ON?
p.s. Should you first ask people how they like slow browsers before making fast one to a slow one?
p.p.s. i dont get how menu could be added by thouse who need it as an add-on ass allways and not presuring everyone who never touches any button.
p.p.p.s. your business was beeing neutral ngo making browser for people and not for making cloged systems so new computers could be sold by some company advice or infiltrated mole who will suggest such unneded feature as any other addons, but sticking it in for everyone.

Strange issue in updating custom table after upgrade ECC6.0! Please help!

    I have some code (shown below) that deletes and updates some SAP tables and one custom table:
    DELETE T5UBV   FROM TABLE DEL_T5UBV.
DELETE ZCHRZIP FROM TABLE DEL_ZCHRZIP.
MODIFY ZCHRZIP FROM TABLE WRITE_ZCHRZIP.
MODIFY T5UBV   FROM TABLE WRITE_T5UBV.
COMMIT WORK.
For SAP table the code above works fine but for custom table it overrides all exisiting data! It should keep some existing data in custom table ZCHRZIP and append any extra data from internal table WRITE_ZCHRZIP. This functions as designed if I run in fore ground but in background it just overrides instead of modifying and appending! This is happening only after upgrade ECC6.0. Any thoughts? Please let me know.

Looking to upgrade (finally), but first...(about port forwardig)

I've got a (fairly) old Airport Extreme (Snow) base station. Most of the computers around the house are new enough to have the "n" airport cards in them, so I'm looking to upgrade to a new base station that support this.
One of the pet peeves I've had for a while is that the base station that I currently have (snow) gives you extremely limited possibilities for forwarding public ports to specific machines. It limits you to 20. If you try to enter in 21 ports to forward to any particular machine, it gives an error and will not let you reboot the station.
Does the current Airport Extreme Base Stations have this same limitation? If not, I'll just buy a different wireless router that does and pay the couple of bucks Apple charges to unlock the wireless card instead.
Has anyone been able to forward more than 20 ports to their computer using the current base station?

You either have a 802.11b dual-Ethernet (aka snow) AirPort base station (ABS) OR an 802.11b/g round AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS). The snow ABS and AEBS are totally different animals.

The new AEBS allows ranges of ports to be forwarded which makes life simpler. I also believe that the limit of 20 no longer exists.

Making custom non-standard components aware of custom look and feels.

Maybe the subject of this post could also be the opposite: "Making custom look and feels aware of non-standard custom components". I'm not sure.
If I code a new custom component (extending JComponent, or extending the UI delegate of a standard component) and pretend it to be laf aware then I must create the corresponding UI delegate for each laf, like it happens to be with standard swing components. But I'm not sure it is feasible to create the UI delegates for all unknown existing custom lafs.
On the other side, if I create a custom laf then I will also create a custom UI delegate for each standard component, but I can not create UI delegate for all unknown existing custom components.
The point here is that standard components and standard lafs are universally known, while custom components (or custom ui delegates) and custom lafs are not.
So the question is: How does a swing developer deal with the case of a new custom component that will be used in an unknown custom laf?
For instance:

I suggest if you want to make your custom component look & feel aware, you design the way it displays around the l & f of other components that are part of j2se and have l&f implementations.

Hello, I've been looking to upgrade my PC's ram for a while. I have one 8GB stick now, DDR3, samsung. I'm hoping to just find another 8Gb DDR3 stick instead of buying two, as I have very little money. I mainly use my PC for gaming, and plan to upgrade my video card too. Snow Leopard would be your next system upgrade and you should be OK with the CS3 applications, and Office 2008. I cannot confirm that the other applications will work.

I am so sorry I am frustrating you. This is the first time I have used this community and am leanring as I go. I am not able to see the entire post that you leave, unless I look at it on my phone (email)--I am so sorry. You have no idea how much i appreciate your help. Yes, I see that I can get the later version of OS software, but its not availabe for immediate download. My only options appear to be having it shipped, or going to the store to purchase. Is it possible to use Customer Open Interface to convert existing party into Customer?
What I know is that Customer Open Interface will create party first and then create the customer account for that party.
But my requriement is to convert existing party into customer or say create customer account (and other account related data) for an existing party.
Is is possible to use Customer Open Interface?

Print button too far over in look 4 report custom look

How do you move over the print button in the custom look 4 option in templates.
I am using blue gray and then for report template look 4.
I noticed in other templates that you can modify the after rows but I don't know where look 4 or other templates like that are stored.

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.

I am use to going into the Apple Store and purchasing Apple products that way. I have an upgrade and my 2 contracts are expired. There is an icon in My Verizon under upgrade this device (which is the Moto cell phone) to an iPhone. Is this a safe way to get the best deal from Verizon, know if I can get applecare, if they have any classes that teach how to use the iPhone, and gives me the ability to use the discounts I should have coming? Like the New Every Two (I know this is not around anymore but I still have it coming to me), what packages they have for this phone? How to avoid being overcharged or going over with calls, texts, data usage, etc. In other words, even if I hve a $30 NE2 and a $50 NE2 for the MIFI2200 that has not worked this past year with tech agents that tell me they have no idea what the problem is?

With your questions, it would be best to just go into a Verizon store and talk to a rep there. What you're asking is exactly everything they go over with you in-store.
As far as classes that teach you how to use the iPhone, you won't need that. The iPhones are made to be SUPER user friendly, and they are. Everything is very plain and self explanatory.
