Existing Users Login to Setup Email

Just got a new Blackberry Curve 3G today through Sprint. Sprint transferred my contacts - fine.
When i went to setup my email, it says "Existing Users - If you want to access your email settings or you changed your device, login"
I have no idea what the User name and password is as I have never set it up on this phone before.
Sprint tells me this is a Blackberry issue.
How can I either get my user name and reset my password, or
reset both my username and password?

If you had an existing BlackBerry account, then you're an existing user
You would have a login and password for that account. If you don't have that, call Sprint customer service and tell them you need to reset that account, and have this new device PIN/IMEI associated with the account.
If nothing else, Sprint needs to delete the old BIS account from your records and add it new again, voila, a new account.

The user which does not exist can login BI Answers without password

Hi I got an Issue in the BI Answers login.
Any non-exist username can login to the BI answers without password.
And the exist-user need the correct password.
Does anybody have the same issue before?
And also, any non-exist username can login to BI Answers if the password is provided as the same as username, even the user account doesn't exist.
After the non-exist user login, the system would automatilly create this user account.

Can i able to do DBUM trusted recon without mapping User Login

Hi All,
Is is it possible to do dbum trusted reocon without mapping User Login field? , As it going to create automatically using post process event handler.
I am able to recon when i map userlogin otherwise not. But my need is userlogin shud create automatically. How can i achieve this

This approach will be working fine with first time recon(New user creation) and you don't need to do anything extra.
But, the problem will ocur in case of update (next time recon of same user). As the userlogin is mapped with the target source and you have changed it using post process event handler. So, the same record it will consider as updatable and it will again try to update the existing user login. Yes, you can, call your event handler on update as well. So that it will update again to previous. This will be worst approach. beacause, It will process the same record always .
Again I suggest you. Better Go for transformation. which will serve your purpose. In this case you do not need to map user login from trusted source. transformation class will generate user login on pre-insert.

Invalid Existing Users email user name or password

In trying to setup a second email account and I am prompted for the user name and password of the Existing Users email account. I assume that this information is the same as that needed to access my regular email account, such as through Outlook. However, I get an invalid user name or password response when I attempt to log in. Is the BlackBerry system asking for different information than what I am providing?

Based on my research, if the NPS server is a member of an AD DS domain, NPS uses the directory service as its user account database and is part of
a single sign-on solution. The same set of credentials is used for network access control and to log on to an AD DS domain. NPS will compare user credentials that it receives from network access servers with the credentials that are stored for the user
account in AD DS to perform authentication. Furthermore, NPS server uses network policy and checks user account dial-in properties in AD DS to authorize connection requests.

Existing users not able to login to Application

Hi all,
For satisfying one of the security requirement. We secured Entity dimension and created new member access profile and new team.
For the new user and we (Admin team) has assigned this newly created team.
Now only we (Admin team) and new user is able to access the system.
Inorder for all other users to access the Application. Do we need to assign newly created team to all of them? is there any way to do it?

Since you have checked Entity dimension has secured now and created new Member access profile for new users.
But for existing users who are using existing Member Access profiles which does not have Entity dimension defined this is the reason why they are not able to login to BPC Application.
Please edit all the Member Access profiles and establish a reference to the ENTITY dimension for [ALL]

I was trying to sign into apple with my existing user name (just downloaded 07 on my phone)and it says that my email is already being used, don't know what to do?

I have an apple id that doesn't include my email, when trying to download on my phone (new system 07) it wants user name to include email address, i typed that in and it says it is already being used, not sure what to do?

Is there a "I forgot my password" option anywhere? If so, I would enter your email address and then click that option. That way, they'll email you your password and you can use that to access the account and see what's going on.

Best Practice in maintaining multiple apps and user logins

My company is just starting to use APEX, and none of us (the developers) have worked on this before either. It is greatly appreciated if we can get some help here.
We have developed quite a few applications in the same workspace. Now, we are going to setup UAT and PRD environments and also trying to understand what the best practice is to maintain multiple apps and user logins.
Many of you have already worked on APEX environment for sometime, can you please provide some input?
Should we create multiple apps(projects) for one department or should we create one app for one department?
Currently we have created multiple apps for one department, but, we are not sure if a user can login once and be able to access to all the authenticated apps.

I am not sure how much of this applies to your situation - but I will share what I have done.
I built a single 700+ page application for my department - other areas create separate smaller applications.
The approach I chose is flexible enough to accomdate both.
I built a separate access control application(Control) in its own schema.
We use database authenication fo this app - an oracle account is required.
We prefer to use LDAP for authentication for the user applications.
For users that LDAP is not option - an encrypted password is stored - reset via email.
We use position based security - priviliges are based on job functions.
We have applications, appilcations have roles , roles have access to components(tabs,buttons,unmasked card numbers,etc.)
We have positions that are granted application roles - they inherit access to the role components.
Users have a name, a login, a position, and a site.
We have users on both the East Coast and the West Coast, we use the site in a sys_context
and views to emulate VPD. We also use the role components,sys_contexts and views to mask/unmask
card numbers without rewriting the dependent objects(querys,reports,views,etc.)
The position based security has worked well, when someone moves,
we change the position they are assigned to and they immediately have the privileges they need.

Retrieving Last used User Login Name in OIM 11g R2

In my scenario, i want to retrieve the last used user login in OIM for user profile, to create next User Login based on last one retrieved ?
Is there any API method available in User Management to get this value or Any customized DB query that will help ?
Setup used is OIM 11g R2 PS1.

Still i have some doubts in my scenario. Actually i have to create new User Login in sequence based on last User Login of Last user created . This is no based on User ID. Also, whatever already existing users with user login are present , they will be uploaded in OIM for first time through trusted reconcilation.
After reconcilation is done, then hereafter while creating next user i have to update its user login attribute in sequence of latest user login used and check for its uniqueness.Suppose, in case while bulk data import in OIM for first time , the users are not in sequence of User Login attribute, then it will be difficult to get the latest user login. Is there any way to get last user created based on User Login and not on User Id ?

Fllooded with user login alarms

Hello: Now that I have snmp somewhat setup - with lots of
help from this forum - I am getting flooded with user login
alerts (alarms). The biggest offender is our FAXserve_User
account which logs in and out every 15 seconds as part of
its "scanning for new work" process. I really don't care
about know every user loggin / out event.
What is the best way to disable this behavior (short of
deleting the alarm type)?

either change it, delete it, or configure the mibs on the server correctly.
Honestly alarms is the best ROI on this part of the product and the part of
the product which is switched off the fastested again.
The reason: To many alarms ;-)
If you read through the docs you will find how to configure when and what
the server will report on. You need to do that based on your environment.
Also you need to configure the alarms corespondigly.
And thats be major part. And thats also the most complicated part as all
environment are different. Some environments don't need login alarms, some
do .. yaddayaddayadda..

Ger User Login?

I'm trying to set up a scheduled task on a pc that will run a
query and email the results to the user that is currently logged
into that pc. The network login name is the same as the email
address (login name is JonesB, email adress is
[email protected]).
Is there a way to get the current user's login name?

Are you accessing a db or what? One way is setup your
application.cfm and setup the client and session management. Then
once the user logins into the application set the client variables.
Say for instance, I login into the system using JonesB.
Once I am authenticate, you will set the following variables:
<cfset client.username = JonesB>
<cfset client.email = [email protected]>
With this info, you can have access to the information
throughout the application.

Weblogic admin user password change w/o disrupting existing users

Hi Folks,
As a business policy we need to change the password of the admin user in weblogic after a cycle of specific period.
Please let us now how can we do that without losing the other existing users in 'my realm.'
I understand that we can use the weblogic.utils.security.AdminAcoount utility to give the new password, which will create a new DefaultAuthenticatorInit.ldift file in +<domain-home>/security+ folder (according to Doc ID 1082299.1).
The password will change but the users in 'my realm' will be lost. (there are many users and it is a production environment so recreation is out-of- question)
Is there a way we can retain the users and still proceed with the password change?

Hi Jeegar,
This can be doen by followin the standard procedure by login to console and navigate to :-
DOMAIN_STRUCTURE--->Security Realm--->myrealm--->Users and Groups---->User tab click on the user weblogic
--click on the password tab and put the new password there and save (password is changed for the user here)
---Logout from the console and login to the console again using the new password
But when the server starts it do not read the password for the user directly from the realm rather it picked the same from the $DOMAIN_HOME/servers/AdminServer/security/boot.properties
Now in order to make this change available when the server starts change the values for the username and password in boot.properties and specify them in plain-text and save the same.
Now next time whenever the server will start it will pick up the new values from the boot.properties and once the same had been accepted those will be encrypted again.
You might have to make the change for the boot.properties for all the Managed Server if you have the Managed Servers in the domain which will be located at the location $DOMAIN_HOME/servers/<<Managed Server Name>>/data/nodemanager/boot.properties
You can test the steps on some lower environment first and try the same in Critical environment once the testing goes successful.
