Exit Code 7 error installing trial version of Adobe Captivate 5

Hi,
I am getting an Exit Code 7 error when installing a trial version of Adobe Captivate 5 on an XP SP3 32bit laptop.
I have the install logs (i've tried installing a couple of times) but i can't see how to attach the files in this window.
Can you help me please?

There can be many possible reasons for this Error.
Could be a possibility Microsoft_v80_CRX .msi is not getting installed or due to Error 1612
Please reply with complete information : Your Name & Contact Number (with country code)

Try typing 'Captivate' in spotlight and see if it shows the application else you need to reinstall the software.

Problem installing trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13

I am trying to install trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, I have downloaded it several times, I have the software specified in list for requirements needed, I have 693 GB of free space, have administration writes, but each time at the end of installation I get the following message. ' A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder, which is Desktop. What could be my problem?

Can't download a trial version of Adobe Captivate

I am in Canada and I am trying to download a trial version of Adobe Captivate. However, I can't even get to the download button, because the trial request form offers only United States as a country option and I get a submission error when I try to proceed (incorrect address). Is this download available for US residents only?

Trying to instal trial version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

By mistake, I downloaded the trail version of regular Adobe Acrobat XI Pro not the student rate. I tried to download the student trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is telling me that the same versin already exists. I ask to replace it, but give me an eroor again. how could I install the student trial version since I already paid for it and would like to use it immediately?

Would you mind providing more detail? You mention the 'Trial' version of Acrobat XI Pro. It is free for 30 days and does not ask you to pay anything unless you decide to after the end of 30 days.
At the end of the trial period you are welcome to purchase the student version.

Unable to install Trial Version of Adobe Muse (Mac)

Hello! I am trying to download the trial version of Muse and I successfully managed to download the dmg file (Muse_1_0_LS10.dmg) but when I click "Install Adobe Muse" in that folder, it says "You cannot use this version of the application Install Adobe Muse with this version of Mac OS X." I am using Mac OS X 10.5.8.

Looks as if you have your home folder on VMWare mapped back to the host OS drive, and that's triggering the initial failure in the log you posted. There's a faulty assumption in our installer's home folder logic that you've encountered, where it thinks your home folder is one level above your Documents folder, though we know that's not always true.
Here's a workaround you could try:
- Back up your Documents folder for safe keeping (\\vmware-host\Shared Folders\Documents)
- create a new folder tree named \\vmware-host\Shared Folders\home\Documents. The folder in the middle doesn't need to be named "home", you can call it anything you want, but there needs to be a new folder in the middle. Make sure you have write access to that home folder, as well as to its Documents subfolder.
- in VMWare Windows, reconfigure your User settings, moving your "My Documents" location down to the one created below \home\.
That last step varies a little, depending on which version of Windows you're running. On Win7 you can do it this way:
- in your user home folder (\Users\yourUserName) locate the My Documents icon, and right-click it
- choose Properties
- in the "Location" tab, click Move, and then choose the \\vmware-host\Shared Folders\home\Documents fodler you created earlier on your VMWare host
On Vista, you can right-click the Documents icon in your Start Menu, choose Properties, and from there on it's about the same as on Win7.
On WinXP it looks slightly different:
- right-click your My Documents icon (often on the desktop for convenience), and select Properties
- the tab you want is named "Target" on WinXP, and then you can click Move to relocate it to the same location described earlier.
After moving your Documents location this way, I would reboot first, and then make sure any old copies of FB4 are completely removed before re-installing. I just tested this out on my own VMWare machine (Vista), and it worked here, so with any luck it will work there too.

I am trying to install the trial version of Adobe Captivate 8 on a Windows 7 machine.

The installer says open file "Captivate_8_x64LS21.exe" It then extracts files but gives me an error message "problem occurred extracting some files. Check available space and the write privileges on the destination folder." Neither of those should be a problem. I have 55 gigs of space and I am the administrator for my home computer. Can someone help?

Trial version download of Captivate 7

I am trying to download the trial version of Adobe Captivate 7. When I click on Install Now nothing happens.Does anybody know why this might be?

Sreekanth I totally disagree with you: why shouldn't you be able to install a 32-bit verion on a 64-bit system? The contrary is not possible, but if you system is not that performant it could even be wiser to install the 32-bit version. When testing in a virtual machine, even with 64-bit installed but with limitation in RAM (4GB or less) I tend to install the 32-bit version always. And if you check your system (Win anyway) you'll find multiple programs installed in the ProgramFiles(x86), which are all 32-bit applications.
