Exit from window mgr locks computer

I have installed xorg many times with the jwm window manager without problems until now. I did my first Arch install, a couple days ago, with no problems. Now, my second arch install on another computer, has me confused.
Xorg and jwm run okay, and will launch an application. Exiting the application returns control to jwm. Wnen exiting from jwm, screen goes blank and there is no response to keyboard or mouse. i must turn power off and reboot.
My .xinitrc file (as usual):

jwm
I know I screwed up somewhere doing the install, but can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated
Editing - I think the answer is: just re-do the install.

For the issue, the current user account picture (tile image) is stored in the hidden folder below.
C:\Users\Public\Public Account Pictures\S-1-5-21.......(GUID for user account)
The recent user account pictures used for your account are stored in the hidden folder below.
C:\Users\(user-name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
The default user account picture images are in the hidden system folder below.
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Default Account Pictures
I suggest you select a new picture to update your account picture.
1.On your Start screen, click on your user tile at the top right corner, click on Change account picture.
2.On the Personalize, then click "Browse" to select a new picture.

8625 failure to print anything from windows 8.1 computer on wirelessnetwork

I installed the HP Officejet aio yesterday and I cannot get it to print anything from my computer. I installed it on my home network. My office mate has the same computer and is running on 8.1 and he can print to the 8625. But I cannot. The printers does show up in the control panel as the default printer when I send a file to be printed it says it's printing but I get nothing. What should I do, I'm really PO'd about this.

If you have seen issues where your laptops/tablets has been taken from a private (home) network to a public network and then not been able to print when returning back to your private (home) network. This is most likely due to the public network settings not being reset back to the private (home) network settings. Install this Microsoft patch to make sure this private-public-private network issue does not reoccur. It is part of the April 2014 Windows Update package for Windows 8.1 and Server2012 R2 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919355).

Unable to access files on Windows 7 computer from Windows 8.1 computer

I have a Windows 7 desktop and a Windows 8.1 laptop. Both connect wirelessly to the internet via my Home Hub. Because the desktop is my main repository of documents / pictures etc. I want to be able to access them from the laptop, but despite
spending ages surfing for assistance I can't manage to do this.
At this stage I'll cheerfully confess to being semi-PC-illiterate and totally confused about Network File Sharing, Homegroups and Workgroups!
One fundamental problem seems to be this - I can ping the laptop from the desktop but not vice-versa. That said, if I run Explorer on the desktop and click on Network, it displays both machines (and the hub). If I run Explorer on the laptop and
click on Network, it displays the laptop and the hub, but
not the desktop.
I'd be grateful if some kind reader could patiently suggest how I could diagnose and fix the problem!

Please understand that Network discovery is a network setting that affects whether your computer can find other computers and devices on the network and whether other computers on the network can find your computer.
Please configure this settings to check this issue.

Problem connecting from Windows XP to 10.4.7 server.

I have an old G4 tower running as a server. I had OS Xserver 10.3.x running on a single disk in this machine. Everything worked fine.
I then inserted a mirrored disk pair in the machine and installed OS X server 10.4.7. The machine is set up as a standalone server.
When connecting from a Mac I can use both AFP and SMB to connect to the fileservices.
But when trying to connect to the fileservices using smb from Windows XP machines only a few of them can actually see the server in Network Neighbourhood. And none of them seems to be able to connect.
I can though ping the servers IP from the Window machines.
Do you have any Ideas that could help me solve this problem?

I also have a problem with people unable to connect via FTP from Windows.
My computer is set up as a Standalone Server. When I click the Windows button in Workgroup Manager for a user, the dialog says:
"Only a user with a password type 'Open Directory' may have a WIndows profile or home directory. You can change the user's password type on the Advanced tab."
But the Advanced tab only offers one password type: Shadow Password.
Note that this WAS working correctly for some time. I updated to Server 10.4.4 a while back. I don't think my single Windows user has accessed since the update. I'm trying add a new Windows user now and he can't connect because of this problem.
Please point me to a document to help me correctly configure this.

After upgrading to windows phone 10, I just face several bugs as expected, including screen unlock bug. I just try app corner feature on my phone. That`s led to a big mistake. I can`t exit from the app corner mode. While pressing the power off
button and swap right, nothing happens. (In lock screen, it doesn`t show that swap right to exist. I think this problem also related to locks screen bug. Even I try to remove the battery. But, still I struck at app corner. Please

Very very disappointed. Sorry about windows phone. I have argued quit a lot with friends. Trying to convince them that WP are extremely good and nice to work with. Unfortunately they keep telling me about the poor apps of WP. Unfortunately I can now start seeing the problem. Guess what, I wasconsidering of buying my father a WP. Guess what. Remote desktop connection from windows computer to TC

what I have: I have a TC 2TB, bought it three months ago.
what I did: I have set it up at home. Using as base station for all my devices, iphone 4, ipad 2, macbook air and also other laptop. My TC is connected to ADSL modem with an ethernet cable (as expected). with port forwarding option of ADSL modem (in NAT Properties), I managed to forward any connection to TC. I have a static IP by the way.
what I can do: from work or anywhere else other than my home network, I can connect to my static IP (via "Connect to Server" option in any mac device), it pops up a user name and password window, I login with my TC user name and decive password. In an instant my TC disk is mounted on my desktop, and I can reach all my files in it as if it is an external hard disk.
what I cannot do: from a windows computer outside my network, I cannot connect to TC. I try to do this through "Remote Desktop Connection". Is this possible? If so how? Is this a problem related to network connection or TC settings?

You cannot remote desktop into a TC..
In fact you cannot remote access a TC from windows.. sorry.. but SMB protocol is blocked on the internet.. there are work arounds but no security.. don't do it.
The only other protocol the TC offers is AFP.. there is no AFP file access software available for windows. You need to use a Mac.
The best alternative is vpn.. replace your current adsl modem router with a vpn one.. eg draytek.. then you can access your home network. Since I presume when you say you have static ip you mean public IP then vpn is easy (well once setup it is).. reliable and secure.

The iPhone "thinks" it's a new iTunes libarary because your computer has a new operating system. As long as all your music and other media is on your computer, you will be fine. The iPhone will be erased because it "thinks" it's a new iTunes library, and the "new library" (which is actually your unchanged data) will be put back on.

In any case it doesn't matter. I returned it to the store where I bought it.
Rule #1; Don't use a product if the people who produce that product (software, hardware, etc.) don't properly support it.
User forums and\or chat lines, are useful and may help. But! They do not constitute proper support (not for installation purposes anyway).

Yes, that's exactly what happened. If you buy another drive, you could copy from your existing drive to the new and your files will be read/write. The new drive will have to be formatted as an HFS drive (that's the Mac's format). If you need to format it, you use Disk Utility which is in the Utilities folder on your Mac. Be careful with that -- it wipes out whatever is currently on the drive. Make sure you format the right drive.
I keep all my images on an external drive, too. In fact, I have two matching drives and sync them so I always have a backup.

Solved! Music was in Itunes folder but not in Media folder within that. It doesn't seem like a very user friendly system so far!
