Exit iPhone 4s redeye photo edit?

I can't exit the redeye photo edit on my iPhone 4s.  There is no "exit" icon or button.
I go back to the home screen, push the photo button until the icons jump around, then click the photo icon again, but it goes back to the edit mode with the redeye function.
FRUSTRATING!!!!

I updated to iOS 5.0.1 and that fixed my thumbnail issues. I also was able to figure out a way to delete all photos from your iPhone. If you connect your iPhone to another Mac and sync the photos you can then check the box to remove all photos. Once I did that I personally just deleted the photos from that second Mac.  Thanks

  • How to see photos edited on iphone on your pc?

I clicked and edited these photos before setting icloud. And as of now, I see an unedited version on laptop and an edited version on phone. help me so that i could download those photos on my pc>>windows 7

The only way I've found to get around this is to email the edited photos to yourself. Seems like Apple is using a neat trick in that you have your original image, then the metadata attached that shows what was done to edit it. This way the extra data is tiny and you don't have two images taking up space on the phone. When you email the pic the iPhone takes the photo, applies the edits and makes a new image in memory to send.

  • Can you sync photo editing from iPhone to Mac

I synced some iPhoto events from my Mac to the new iPhoto app on my iPhone. Then I edited some pictures, red-eye removal and warm/cool balance. Is there a way that the changes to my photo can be copied to iPhoto on my Mac because it doesn't seem to work automatically through syncing.

Connect your iPhone with the cable.
In iTunes, select your phone under Devices and go to the Photos tab on the right.
There you can say "Sync photos from iPhoto" and also select which events you want to sync.
So the photo's sync. But what does NOT sync, is the editing of photo's on your phone, such as red-eye removal.

On the iPhone 5s, performing any edit on a black and white photo will render a strong purple tone. This occurs in any app under the current iOS. Sadly, every photo must then be re-edited to restore the original black and white. If others have experienced similar troubles, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I'm the one from the example above posted by @frankensinatra and I can confirm having the same problem.
But I want to add something. The problem is not only related to black and white but to every picture, and it can be worse or not depending on the range of colors involved. Apparently, there is a shift between some RGB value that is going to remove some green producing a magenta look.
I've started contacting some developer about this problem and some of them is trying to understand what's going on.
In my case, the problem came up when I bought the new iPad mini Retina. I didn't have this problem with the previous iPad mini. Same OS for both devices.
The photo you see in the link above is a perfect example of what happens just going from one app to another and saving to the camera roll. In that case, the situation doesn't change if I send that picture from within the app by email, or to another app using the "open in..." feature. It keeps being purple. And the problem can be reproduced all the time.
Have some of you noticed the same?

  • IPhone Photos edited with iOS 7 losing adjustments in Aperture

I shot a few photos with iOS 7 this weekend while at the cottage and was importing them into Aperture (which I use to manage my rather large collection). I noticed that for some reason some of the adjustments were now missing. Yes my crops and auto enchancements were there but the colour effects I applied were not.
Just curious if anyone knows how to work around this? I figured I could always open the edited photos in another app like Camera+ and save them out again but that seems to be poor form as it'd result in generation loss.
    Any suggestions?

Could you give more details please, so we can compare notes?
How are you editing and transfering your photos - editing directly in the Camera.app, the Photos.app, iPhoto IOS?
And what kind of IOS device? iPad, iPod, iPhone?
And how have the photos been transferred to your Mac? Photo Stream? Import by connecting the device?
I just made a test on my iPad with IOS 7 and all edits transferred:
Taking the pictures with the Camera.app
Editing them in the Camera.app and saving the edited version to the camera roll.
The edited version with all edits appeared in the Photo Stream (a few hours later ) and all edits were there.
But if you edited in the Photos.app and not in the Camera.app, it is harder to get the edited version to the Camera Roll. I use iPhoto to save an edited copy of the photo to the camera Roll (from the "Share" menu in iPhoto). That adds them to the Photo Stream as well.
But the biggest problem with this is, that saving back to the Camera Roll after editing in iPhoto appears to be changing all dates and the lens information anad Camera Make is now missing from the EXIF..
The photo I took yesterday should show the dates like this:  Sept. 23,
But it is showing Sept. 24 for all dates:
So my suggestion would be to do basic edits in the Camera.app before the photos will be saved to the Camera Roll for the first time, and to postpone all further edits, until the photos are in Aperture. Or, to keep both versions in the camera roll, the original and the edited version.

  • My First iPhone 5...Photo Editing

I just purchased an iPhone 5. The only other iPhone I have had was a 3GS. The 5 is sooo much better,
Ok, my qeustion is what are the best Photo Editing, and Photo Taking apps out there you can purchase from iTunes for the iPhone 4 or better?
I bought an ipad a year ago and got into the photo editing. I am addicted!
I am a photographer, but my hobby is restoring and editing photos. Most of the editng requests are to fix blemishes, more tan, even skin. Hiding any undesirable areas of the body, overall make someone slimmer-looking in the photo. I also use cloning quite often.
One of the problems I seem to have is, say for example, a girl got badly sunburned and they have white splotchy scars on their chest but she is supposed to do a photo shoot. All the pictures are phonomenal but the scars were impossible to hide, so I try cloning, softening with a brush or whole picture, blemish tools, smudge tools, denoise tools, etc. They all leave it looking messy and un-professional, lines where the pen or airbrush was used.
Is there an app that will fix the above problem but also even out her skin to look natural?
My favorite type of pictures to take are inanimate objects though. I love taking pictures of old buildings, sunsets, sunrises, close-ups of bugs, spiderwebs, etc. I also love catching the light just right so it will cause amazing shadows and beautiful colors and natural effects.I also want editing and camera apps that are made for editing large pixel photos, photos taken at night, extreme close-up photos, etc. So I need something that produces very clear, crisp images
What editing and camera apps would you recommend for these types of photos?
One more thing, color effects apps. I have a few of the cheap or free ones, but I'm lookirg for one that has many more options and is much better quaility and its results are much more professional-looking.
I could go on and on but I'll stop there.
Any opinions or advice I appreciate mucho!!!
    Amy

    Hi,
The App Store > Photography section has a wide variety of photo capturing and editing apps that you should take a look at.
Downloading some of the best apps, you can do a lot more than what the inbuilt Camera app gives you.
Now, coming to your request of photo editing apps, I normally use apps like Snapseed for photo editing. It provides you a wide variety of tools for adjusting the color balance, brightness and saturation etc.
Secondly for apps to photo capture, edit and share, you should check out apps like Camera Awesome, Camera+ or Camera Plus Pro. Some of the apps also include video recording etc.
But these apps wont remove blemishes from your pics. I havent come across any good blemish remover apps as such.
    Hope it helps.

  • IOS 5 photo edits not really saved?

I cropped and applied auto-enhance to photos on my iPhone 4S running iOS 5then uploaded what I thought were edited photos to Facebook.
It turns out the edits were not really saved even though I saved the edits.
Original photos before the edits were uploaded Facebook.
Is this a bug? What would be the point of editing photos using the iOS 5 photo edit tools if the edits are not really saved for export?
    Is there a fix?

This is interesting, because I had the opposite experience, but then I touched something. :-)
It seems that the Photos app behaves like iPhoto in that you can revert your edits. It can be done directly in the Photos app (clumsy) or in iPhoto once you've copied the photo to your Mac (easier).
I cropped a photo and uploaded it to FB. It looked cropped both on FB and in my linked iPhoto album. I thought that Photos had overwritten my photo because I didn't see an obvious way to revert it. After discovering how to revert the image, I did so in iPhoto. Now the image on FB and in the linked album show the image as uncropped.
I don't know if this helps your situation, but it explains a bit more of the weird Photos behavior that's been observed since iOS 5 dropped.

  • How do I make iOS 5 photo edits permanent?

In iOS5 on the iPhone 4 when I edit my photos (crop, adjust color, etc) with the built-in photo editing tools, the photos look fine on the iphone, but when I upload them to my PC, they are not edited... they are the original uncropped, unmodified photo.
Is there a way to permanently save the cropped photo?
    Thanks,
    Dave

you're lucky your iOS5 upgrade added photo editing. did you do anything special? i have no photo editing functions on my iphone 4 after moving to iOS5. one of the main things I'd like and it didn't happen. Add the myriad problems which make my iphone4 pretty much a piece of **** now and I'd very much like to UNDO iOS5... but just wondering if you had to customize or do anything special to enable photoediting?

  • How disallow photo editing?

My little sister (almost 10) doesn't have any self-restraint and edits all the photos on my father's iPhone 5. Especially of herself. My father expects me to figure out how to solve this problem.
I looked at Photos and Camera in Restrictions, but apparently neither has nothing to do with photo editing. So is there any way to stop her from editing the photos? Is it possible to delete the Photos app -- as a last ditch effort? Some time ago (with a previous iPhone several versions of iOS ago), I deleted some of the built-in apps that I never use. I can no longer remember how I did this, but the regular way of deleting an app within iOS doesn't seem to work.
When he downloads his pictures to iPhoto, are only the edited versions getting downloaded, or is the original in there somewhere as well?
I will be putting in feedback, because he also doesn't want her using the Camera. Seems most other people are aksing these kinds of questions because of their kids, who are much younger than my sister. It's unfortunate that she has no self control. I have to remember to turn on Immediate passcode lock when I visit, in case I put my iPhone down or plug it into the charger. She proceeds to open every game on my phone. And probably reads my Facebook and email.

No you can't delete the built in IOS.

  • IOS 8 photo edit loses location information

I noticed that whenever I edit a photo with the built-in photo editor, the location information of the edited photo is gone. It also happens when a filter is selected on the camera before the photo is shot.
For me this means that the photo editing capability of iOS is pretty much useless at this time.
    Anybody else noticed this bug?

My iPhone 5s runs the latest iOS 8.1 and I have no problem of editing photos within the Photos app. Actually, after click Done to confirm the action, it saves the change right away, even without your notice. The suggestions I could give you are: first, update your iPhone to the latest version - iOS 8.1.0; second, restore your iPhone (backup your iPhone to iTunes or iCloud> tap Settings > General > Reset > Eraser all content and settings> set up as a new iPhone > restore from the iCloud backup file or connect to computer to restore from an iTunes backup file). Good luck!

  • PSE 5.0 Photo edit error message when attempting to save edits.

After attempting to save photo edits with PSE 5.0, I get the message box "could not complete your request because of a program error."  I have completed the task for a few years successfully and suddenly this glitch. These edits are basic fixes to shadows and contrast for my son's school trips and I dont want to save multiple copies, just replace original files, no heavy duty layer work.  I am using Vista and have not had this problem in the past.  I tried exiting the program a few times and started over, but same message box.
    Thank you Andy

  • Best photo editing software for HDR and Blk and white? Thx!

This is my first mac and new to photo editing.. I was wondering what Software I should get for photo editing? I found the HDR function on my iPhone and love the pictures that it takes... I wanted to get more out of my nikons and do some HDR editing and black and whites..In the past I would just print no editing.. I am also not a computer person so please excuse my lack of terminology for this topic. I just found out that i need plug ins for the different programs! Thanks for your time and feedback

    Here's the catch:
I am also not a computer person
But Photo Editing is a very "computery" thing. There are lots and lots of options. Some are very easy to use but not very good. Some require learning and are very good indeed. I suggest you explore Photoshop Elements which you can read about here
    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html
There is a learning curve but there are lots of tutorials and support material at the Adobe Site.
You can also download a free trial there.

  • IPhone & Aperture for photos?

Can the iPhone sync to photos in Aperture?

I'm not sure if anyone has responded to this or not but I noticed this when I first synced Aperture with my iPhone and saw that the versions I wanted didn't get copied.
What I'm doing now to get around this is to create album for the iPhone photos in Aperture. When you drag photos to the album it will sync the stack pick or master with the iPhone. But if you prefer it to sync a different photo in the stack then go up to the Stacks menu and select Set Album Pick for the selection you want. Then it will sync that Pick from the stack instead. Album Picks only affect that one album and does not affect your stacks in the main library or other albums. You can have different Album Picks for the same stack in different albums. There will be a check mark in the corner of the thumbnail if it is the album pick.
Hope that helps! I'm just glad I can use Aperture with the iPhone because I no longer use iPhoto.
    All the best,
    -Kevin
Me too - unfortunately it picks up the master files,
and not the latest versions (with all my edits).
That's fine, I guess, as long as you don't want to
    sync with any post-processed files.
