Expand button not viewing in full screen

When i click on the expand button the box appears below, instead of on full screen, it use to but not sure what has happend today
any help on getting it back

Looks minimized to me. Can you maximize your screen (drag handles to widen it)?

Letterbox effect not working in full screen viewer 10.1.2

Hi,
Just updated to 10.1.2 and now the letterbox effect is not visible if i view in full screen but is working in normal interface viewer.
Instead if I keep a png cinemascope 2:35:1 on top of all the layers... in normal viewer its fine. but if i view in full screen (viewer) the cinemascope does not work on the top and only on the bottom it is visible in unusual size...
Plz. help.

hi,
try putting a letterbox effect on any clip... it works well in the viewer display.. but when i go full screen... the letterbox effect does not work properly... the cinemascope is not visible on top but only on the bottom in an unusual size.
so instead if i put a png overlay image on top layer in timeline as a cinemascope... i get the same problem if i go full screen...
Pl. try the letterbox effect option and let me know if this is an issue with the software of is it specific to me ?
Project properties : 1920x1080 24fps and letter box 2:35:1

I changed my "View" to Full Screen..How do I change it back since the Menu Bar with "View" is no longer available in "Full Screen" ?? I tried Esc but that does not work ..

I used the VIEW tab at the top left to change my View to "Full Screen".
Now I cannot access the VIEW tab to change it back. How do I change it back so that that Menu will show at the top of my screen??

# Move mouse up through the top of the screen to menu bars, if you show them

IPhoto - pictures not showing in full screen

Hi, I'm using iPhoto and have uploaded my pictures from camera (one I've always used before and had success with). The pictures load and I can see the thumnails, but when I switch to view in full screen the picture flashes up really quickly and is replaced by an exclamation mark. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The "!" occurs when iPhoto has broken/lost the link/path to the original file. Assuming you're running iPhoto 9 (11) apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

How can I get Safari to default to NOT be in full screen mode?

I have looked in Preferences but don't see any such option. I know that once I am in a session that I can go to View->Exit Full Screen, but I want the default when I open a session to not be full screen. Would appreciate any and all help.

Quit Safari while holding down the option key. Relaunch. Your home page, or an empty window, should open, depending on your preferences.
If in full-screen mode, exit. If not in full-screen mode, enter. Quit and relaunch without holding any keys. You should get the same window in the same state as when you quit. Does that happen?

New satellite laptop wont view in full screen while on internet

I have a satellite L305-S5919 and when im trying to watch a video or something i can watch it but when i try to view it full screen i get a blank page but i can hear audio. Im not quite sure if its an internet thing or its my laptop. I had a desk top first and i could view things on the full screen. But when i switch it to the laptop i have to watch it on the regular window. please help thank you

Assuming you're using Adobe's Flash Player, there's a bug in it for Vista.
While the video is playing, right-click on it and click Settings. Uncheck the box for Enable hardware acceleration.

Safari will not open in full screen mode

After installing the 3-1-14 update from the Apps Store, Safari will not open in full screen mode when I click the double arrow in the upper right corner of the screen. If I try the View>Enter Full Screen it still will not open full screen. Prior to this update, everything was fine. I know the info on the update says it deals with iTunes and iBooks, but after installing it my problems began.
I am running the Mavericks (all updates installed) on an Mac mini (late 2013 edition), 16GB RAM.
Any suggestions?

Is there a way to view Safari full screen in Leopard without auto-hiding the dock? I've already tried searching the forums but could not find much on it or an answer to if it can be done or not. Thanks for any help.

You can open the Code Inspector Window to have the code completely separate from the Design/Document window. You can also then move the CI window to a separate monitor if you like.

Image quality in Viewer vs Full Screen

I've seen lots of discussions about this in earlier version (pre 1.5x), but they seem to be backward from what I'm seeing. I have an extremely noticable difference in image quality in the viewer vs full screen. At first, I just thought my images weren't any good. Then, I brought the same raw files up in Photoshop and they were pretty good. I looked in Aperture in Full Screen mode, and it was close or equivalent to Photoshop.
Is anybody else seeing the image be downright bad (looks horribly out of focus) in the viewer but good in full screen? I'm not talking about the thumbnails.
I'm using an iMac G5 20". I know that my video card is probably underpowered for this, but that should only affect speed (which is mostly tolerable).

I think I read in the manual that Aperture uses a different type of on-screen sharpening for windowed, full screen, and show master. Probably trying to speed it up in windowed by using a cheaper method.
They all should look the same when viewed at 100%.
And for what it's worth, I think Aperture does a lot better job than most programs when viewed at odd sizes. I don't have much to compare it to, but iPhoto and Adobe Elements look awful in comparison.

Xfinity online not going to full screen

Hey idk if xfinity people look at this at all, but with my google chrome browser it won't allow me to hit the button to go to fulls screen. It has set dimensions for the video and cuts off all the options that typically run across the bottom of the screen if you can't see it. anyone else have the problem or know whats wrong? I did install the most recent adobe flash player to and it didn't work.

Aside my not being able to access the full screen, the mobile site consistently prompts me to update the account with a new email address. Very frustrated

I have edited some photos (crop and/or colour adustments). Although the thumbnail is still visible, it will not load in full screen mode - I'll only see a gree square with an explanation mark.
Even more annoying, a photo book I'd ordered came with grey spaces: again the thumbnail appeared allright, but if I click to view the page I get this screen picture holder. I'll have to ask for a reimbursement, but in the mean time, I'd like to know what to do.

I'm having some trouble posting. Sorry for my last post with only original message showing and my comments missing.
I am having trouble with full screen also but not quite the same. I cannot get a previosly edited photo to show full size on the full screen. It only transfers in the same small size as it is in the Library source screen even though I clk on the preference for "edit in full screen." Any idea what is wrong?

Satellite A300 PSAG0A - Games Will Not Display in Full Screen Size

I have a large number of games installed on my computer. At least 90% of them will not display in full screen size but display in a small window with a large amount of black screen surrounding the window. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. However, I do not think it has anything to do with Windows as my husband runs the same games on his Toshiba Satellite L300, running exactly the same version of windows, and they all display in full screen size.
Altering the screen resolution makes no difference. And, of course, I do select the full screen option in the games.
Also, sometimes when I have been playing a game and then closed it I find that my desktop picture has shrunk to the smaller size - the same size as the window in which the game was displayed when I was playing it.
The games work fine in every other way, it is only this small screen size which is driving me nuts.
I hope that someone can help me with this!!

Yes, as far as I can tell I have the latest driver. But, even this is confusing to me because....
My graphics media accelerator is Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family. The installed driver version is 7.14.10.1329. The release date for this is 2007-09-13, as far as I can tell from web searches.
However, on the Toshiba website for driver downloads, the available driver version is 8.2.0.1012 PV. The date is 2006-12-28. I have downloaded this driver and attempted to install it. I get the message that it has been installed but, after rebooting and checking the installed driver version is still 7.14.10.1329.
Perhaps, the 8.2.0.1012 PV version does not actually install because it is older than the currently installed version. I would have thought that the driver version with the higher number would be the newer one, but perhaps this is not the case as the dates do not seem to support this theory.
So now I ask myself, firstly, if the driver available for download on the Toshiba website is not the newest one, then why is it there?
Secondly, if it is the newest one then why will it not install on my computer?

Since updating a day ago, Firefox will not open on full screen on Windows 7

Accessing from taskbar on Windows 7 shows its open but will not open on full screen. And its also affected my Quicken program, doing the same thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled, still same problems. Did the updates affect my computer? And adobe was updated at the same time. I spent two hours w/ Quicken support, problem still exists. The only change that was made to the computer was the Mozilla update.

Right-click on the shortcut used to open Firefox and select Properties. If you get a Windows Jump list when you right click, right-click on the Firefox entry in the jump list and select properties.
In the Shortcut tab of the properties dialog box, set the Run option to Maximized, then click OK to save the settings.
You can do this for any program.
