Expand Collapse feature for notes in EHP4 Flexible appraisal Template

Hi gurus,
Do we have any solution to add Expand and collapse feature for notes in the flexible appraisal template on the portal. Meaning if the user enters a long note in the Notes feild the expand feature should give a bigger view of the notes feild...
Please refer to the screenshot below we have the notes feilds which have the scroll feature but cannot be expanded.

EhP4 Flexible Appraisal template HTML errors

We are reviewing the new Web Dynpro Flexible Appriasal interface in EhP4. When we create a new appraisal from our current appraisal template, the html tags for each criteria (Description - Web Layout) are displayed along with the text on the new WD UI. There is also an error message under each criteria description. If we remove the html and just use the standard Description, the form displays correctly.
Is there a way/setting to make the WD UI in EhP4 display html?

for the tags supported though it is not as rich as HTML.
Also, please implement SAP Note 1354044 if you are not in NW7.01 SP5.

How do I remove expand / collapse icon for JTree empty folders

Hi
I am using a JTree as a file system browser. I use DefaultMutableTreeNode nodes.
I have a problem with empty folders.
Empty folders show the expand / collapse icon, leading the user to believe there are sub-directories. When the user double-clicks the folder, the expand / collapse icon goes away. This is a "haha-gotcha" glitch that I really don't want my users to have to continually deal with.
So, how might I get my JTree to not show the expand / collapse icon for empty folders?

Maybe I can use the FileSystemView isTraversable(File f) method in my TreeCellRenderer class to check if anything is in the directory.
But I still need to know how to disable the expand / collapse icon for such a node.

Remove the expand/collapse image for af:treeTable

I am showing some data in a treeTable, which some rows will not have any further childs. How can I remove the expand/collapse image for those rows in the component <af:treeTable> ?

How to implement expand/collapse property for custome components

can any one tell me how to implement the expand/collapse
property for the custom components in flex. i need something like
hierarchy of custom components which on the expand should be able
to show the children of the corresponding component and a line

Performance Management EHP4 Flexible Appraisal Process

Hi
We are in the process of building Performance Management using Enhancement Package 4 in ECC 6.0 in our test system. We have activiated flexible appraisal process and have completed the necessary config for ESS and MSS and appraisal template.
The MSS user can create the appraisal and define the objectives etc. The ESS user can view the appraisal but cannot add comments. On checking the appraisal template we have created a criteria for employee comments and an element called additional comments the tab 'element access' has been marked against the employee as follows:
Participant = Employee
Plan:Access = Change
Review Access = Change
Completed = Display
So we do not know why the ESS user cannot add comments.
Can anyone help on this issue?

Many thanks for this - we have checked the template level and have the column access for column 'objectives' (which is what is used at element level for appraisee comments) and if we change the column owner to 'appriaser and appraisee' it works for the appraisee but not for the appraiser. So we have a choice either it is set to appraiser and it works fine for the manager or we change it to appraisee and appraiser and it works fine for the ESS user.
Perhaps there is something else we need to check?

EHP4 flexible appraisal - How to use one coloum mutiple times

Dear PMS gurus,
I have a requirement as follows
Is there a possibility to use a column many times in a criterion group or criteria. Like,
There are five objectives created in a criterion group and all the fine objectives have to evaluated as
1. Target to be achieved
2. Actual target achieved
For every target we need to have these columns. Is there a possibility we can do that in the standard.
Also is there a possibility we can have the coloums in horizontal manner instead of the current vertical way the standard gives

Yes in a flexible appraisal template you can use a column more than once in a criterion group or criterion.
With regards to layout of Columns , no you cannot have it vertical instead of horizontal (unless you enhance the webdynpro) . If you wish to have it vertical , you can change the layout in the offline download of form which means the users will always have to work in the offline download mode and upload the appraisal doc. Also you need to check if the ADOBE user licenses allows you to change the offline ADOBE form as it needs ADOBE designer .

Flexible Appraisal template screen changes

We are using Standard Flexible appraisal template based appraisal Solution EHP4. Now we have created a template to cater multi level details for each Objective.
Structure looks like
Objetive 1 Add/Delete
   Objective details 1.1    Add/Delete
         Objective details 1.1.1    Add/Delete
               Objective details 1.1.1.1    Add/Delete
Objetive 2 Add/Delete
   Objective details 2.1    Add/Delete
         Objective details 2.1.1    Add/Delete
               Objective details 2.1.1.1    Add/Delete
For each of this level we will be able to create multiple entry.. i.e it can have
1.2.1
2.3.1.2 entries as well
Now we want to group these entries in group/so that we can enable one collapse/expand option for one objective and all its related components. I mean, we should be able to have a header_tray for objective 1 and ojective 2.. and so on.. so that when we close/open all objectives related to Objective 1, are open or collapse from single header tray.
I know we can use pre exit of wdmodify method for view VW_BODY_VIEW , but i am unable to conceptualize how do we create this group dynamically specially when each row is rendered one by one. and apart from numbering there is no other binding to structure related rows.

Will check on the first 2 solutions that you have given.
Regarding the third one, client requirment is that Criterion groups should come in tabs and the elements like objectives, KPI etc should come columnwise.The notes feild should be below the Goal etc.
have a glimpse of the UI that we are preferring to have. this is EHP6 Flexible appraisal template and we are trying to get a better look for our flexible appraisal template which is on EHP4.

Expand/Collapse feature in table maintenance view

Hello experts,
We have created a custom table and maintenace view. For some table rows, the only key value difference is an EFFECTIVE DATE. The generated table maintenace dialog by default "Collapses" the rows that only differ by Effective Date. Using the Expand <-> Collapse button, we can see the missing detail for individual rows.
Can the maintenace dialog be expanded by default?

We are showing the KM folder structure in Portal content area, I would like to know whether we can implement the feature of Enlarging and collapsing for the KM iViews/Pages the way SAP Implemented for navigation panel with which we can expand/contract the content area space...

first of all sorry for the mistake in the link.Anyway,
regarding your requirement,this is very well possible.
If you could watch the code in the link closely,there is a function called toggle. In its definition
just modify the code this way(below the alert comment).

so when u click on the icon now initially it opens up to a larger width. on clicking again, it will now collapse a portion of the width(as per your need.. not fully)
similarly if you want to enlarge the width
write another toggle function and give

You can modify these values as per your requirement.
I have tried out collapsing the portion of the width with this code.It works fine.So for enlarging also this will work.

Expand Collapse Feature in OBIEE 10.1.3.4 version using Java script Issue

Tried to implement this script in OBIEE 10.1.3.4, but throughs error. Can any one help me in this regards
Steps followed
1. Create an answers report pulling Top Relations, Sub Relationship and Customer from the dimension and sales amount from the Sales fact
2. For Sub Relationship and Customer give the left padding as 25.
3. Create a pivot table view make Top Relationship, Sub Relationship hidden and select show the total before and select labels only (no totals) in the pivot table.
4.Add the image files in and the following code for Top Relationship, Sub Relationship columns select the data format to as HTML image and change it to custom text and add the following.

Since the SP is on connection pool (and looks like expecting a input value), that may causing for error.
Column in the report, pass PS variable and hide it if it not required in the report.

HCM Flexible appraisal template how to read value from a dropdown selection

We are on EHP5 based HCM system.
We are trying to read a drop down value populated in appraisal document. This drop down value is coming from a scale type. Now when i check webdynro application HAP_DOCUMENT_BODY , method BUILD_DOCUMENT_BODY seems to be building the UI and populating all the values. Now I am trying to put a break point and capture instance of this drop down and then based on selected value of the drop down wanted to populate another field attached to same column. Well that will be number two but yeah first thing first, need to find how i can capture drop down instance.

Outlook 2013 - Online Archive folders do not remember expand / collapse

For our QA group, we have just upgraded them from Office 2010 to Office 2013 SP1. We have one user that noticed something. With Outlook 2010, the client would remember which folders he had expanded or collapsed under his "Archive" (the online archive
generated by the Archiving feature of Exchange server). However, once we upgraded him to Outlook 2013, this is no longer true. Now, the "Online Archive" header is fully collapsed when he open Outlook every time.
To test, I created a small folder structure with some items in my own "Online Archive" section and was able to reproduce this behavior. Outlook 2013 will remember which folders are expanded or collapsed for the folders in my Inbox but not for the
folders in my Archive. Is there a way to have Outlook 2013 remember the expand / collapse settings for the Archive?

Expand/Collapse functionality in Survey

Dear Experts,
We have build survey Form using Survey Builder. The survey Form has 4
sections , in each section 5 questions & its relevant answer
options are there.
We are using the standard CSS style sheet : CRM_SVY_OPP_WINLOSS.CSS. Out
put displays standard HTML page with out Expand & Collapse
functionality at section & Questional level.
Client required expand and collapse functionality to view the entire
survey form in one page which allows the user to navigate to required
question .
For that we are tring to change Static Survey XSLT, however system is
not allowed to edit XSLT file .
Please suggest ,how can we enable the expand & Collapse
functionality for our surveys in Survey Buider ?

Hello Aks,
After seeing the ME2ON transaction, what i can suggest you is following:
--> Display a column in your Grid with the hotspot on it
--> You can give the icon as a value in the column
--> Then for the hotspot click you need to display the expanded data i.e. regenerate the grid.
My suggestion to you would be that if you dont need to edit anything in the grid i.e. dont want have any editable field on the grid, then you should opt for an ALV tree using class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE. The expand collapse functionality is already there and you will be saved from a lot of coding.

Expand Collapse Functionality on Left Vertical Navigation

I am trying to implement an expand/collapse functionality for subcommunities and their links in the left vertical navigation menu. My communities appear as horizontal tabs (as in the support center navigation). Once i have a community selected, the left navigation is rendered with all subcommunities and their links. If i now want to collapse/expand a specific subcommunity, how do i do it?
More specifically, how do i identify what subcommunity i clicked on the vertical nav, so that the next time i am rendering the display of the left nav, i can appropriately expand/collapse only that subcommunity.
