Expand/collapse folders in CS4 ?

Searched the forum and through offline help and tried every icon in the panels but can't find this.
In DW CS4 how do you expand/collapse all folders in a site automatically ?  Either in panel view or expanded full screen view ?
Or do you have to open/close all folders individually ?
Thanks, Tim R

Or do you have to open/close all folders individually ?
Yes.

  • Outlook 2013 - Online Archive folders do not remember expand / collapse

For our QA group, we have just upgraded them from Office 2010 to Office 2013 SP1. We have one user that noticed something. With Outlook 2010, the client would remember which folders he had expanded or collapsed under his "Archive" (the online archive
generated by the Archiving feature of Exchange server). However, once we upgraded him to Outlook 2013, this is no longer true. Now, the "Online Archive" header is fully collapsed when he open Outlook every time.
To test, I created a small folder structure with some items in my own "Online Archive" section and was able to reproduce this behavior. Outlook 2013 will remember which folders are expanded or collapsed for the folders in my Inbox but not for the
folders in my Archive. Is there a way to have Outlook 2013 remember the expand / collapse settings for the Archive?

  • How do I remove expand / collapse icon for JTree empty folders

    Hi
I am using a JTree as a file system browser. I use DefaultMutableTreeNode nodes.
I have a problem with empty folders.
Empty folders show the expand / collapse icon, leading the user to believe there are sub-directories. When the user double-clicks the folder, the expand / collapse icon goes away. This is a "haha-gotcha" glitch that I really don't want my users to have to continually deal with.
So, how might I get my JTree to not show the expand / collapse icon for empty folders?
    Thanks
    Wayne

Maybe I can use the FileSystemView isTraversable(File f) method in my TreeCellRenderer class to check if anything is in the directory.
But I still need to know how to disable the expand / collapse icon for such a node.

  • How do I collapse folders in mail?

I organize my mail into separate folders (e.g - folders for each customer).  I find this to be a great way to find emails for a given customer regardless of the subject line. Unfortunately there does not appear to be any way to collapse folders for easy navigation in the mail client on an iPhone.  Is there anyway to collapse folders?

  • Expand all folders in the detailed navigation by default on click of Role

    Hi All,
I have a requirement on expand all the folders in the detailed navigation by defalut when we click a Role in the Fist level navigation.
Please have a look about our requirement as mentioned below.
    ->Role1(First Level Navigation)
       ->Wokset1(Second Level)
           -> Folder1(Detailed Navigation entry Folder)
                  -> Folder2
                       Page1
                       Page2
                  ->Folder3
                       Page3
                       Page4
                  -> Folder4
                       Page5
                       Page6
When the user clicks on Role1 then automatically all the folders in the detailed navigation should be expanded by default then user could see all the pages displayed in all folders. currently the functionality is collapsed all the folders by default in the detailed navigation then user has to expand the folders manually.
Regading this issue, i had seen couple of threads on the same but getting confusion what is the exact solution for the solution.
in those existing threads some people has mentioned that need to change code in the lightdetailnavigation.par or some other mentioned that it is not worked out even do the required changes in the code of light detail navigation part file. there is no clarity in the existing threads for getting  the exact solution . please let me know what are the properties needs to be changed at folder level or workset level to make sure all the folders should be expanded by default in the detailed navigation??
Currently we are using portal 7.0 version.
Any pointers in this regard would be the great help to us??
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
To expand all the folder by default, we need to set the property of the detailed navigation tree.
Open your framework page in the content administration.
Check on the detailed navigation check box and click on the properties button.
In the properties, set the value of initial state= OPEN .
This will expand all the folders by default.
    Hope you understood.

  • DreamWeaver MX 6.1 auto-expands some folders

Ok still runs DreamWeaver MX 6.1, and although I seen the bug
I am about to describe before, it has been stable for a few years
until now when I moved web content from one drive to another and
then went into DreamWeaver and changed site definition, only having
to change one letter, the drive letter as folders stayed the same.
No however DreamWeaver auto expands some folders, not sure
why not all, and it takes two clicks on the "minus" icon to
collapse the folder. However as soon as I switch to another
application and then back to DreamWeaver it expands again, or if I
switch to another site within DreamWeaver and then back to the same
    site again.
What gives? This is REALLY annoying, because one site has
like a 800+ sub folders which caused a delay before showing and
ready to accept new input or menu commands.

  • Can I expand/collapse all of my email accounts in the folder pane?

    Greetings,
Thank you in advance for your help.
    I'm using T-bird v31.0
The inbox is configured to view/layout/folder pane and view/folders/unified.
I have multiple email accounts that appear in the folder pane.
I can expand/collapse inbox, drafts, sent, junk, trash, but not the email accounts.
Is it possible to expand/collapse the email accounts?
Thank you for you hard work and expertise.
    norm

Do you have the removed account forwarded to your other account at the server?
If the account is not still in Thunderbird there is no way for it to check mail on that account. Even if it did it would not place the messages in a different Inbox.
Just to be sure when you go to Tools-Account Settings is the old account still in the list?
Use Tools on the menu bar and not the AppMenu button.
No menu bar? Press the alt key.

  • Collapsing Folders

I have set up my iPad to work with Microsoft Exchange e-mail, however I have a large number of folders. The iPad does not seem to allow me to collapse these folders. Instead I need to scroll through them all.
Does anyone have a solution to this?

This is my pet peeve about Apple. They people who design the UI for any Apple related product assume that everyone else in the world is a moron.
So the fact that the whole point of having folders in mail is to organize it, escaped them. So now everything is ALWAYS open.
I would suggest that this is because the people who design the apple related UI are morons themselves. This is a sad realization but the number of idiotic UI decidsion made by the Apple UI idiots, sorry - experts, is staggering.
So, to summarize - you cannot do any of the trivial expand/collapse of folders because the mail UI designers are idiots.
    Simple.

  • Website file tree - cannot collapse folders

Viewing the local pages in my site, when I try to collapse
folders, other folders mysteriously expand. So, I click on one +
sign and another folder changes from - to + (expanding). This
happens in both the panel view of the site folders as well as in
the large expanded view -- the one that looks a bit like Explorer
    in Windows.
This does not happen every time, but most times. So, for
example, I'll collapse a first folder and maybe a second one, and
when I try to collapse a third folder it does not collapse -- and,
the first two folders expand. This is in DW 8.
I assume things should not be working this way. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

I've been looking for this solution for a while, and as i had
65 sites that this was slowly affecting, i'm going to post my
    solution, based on alan's recommendations.
generally, the outline below creates a REG file that will
remove all "Local Expanded Dir #" and "Remote Expanded Dir #"
values, and reset the "Local Expanded Dirs" and "Remote Expanded
Dirs" values to 0. and will do it for every site you have
configured within dreamweaver (in my case it was 65 of them to
fix). and it makes it easy to repeat the fix later when it gets
    corrupted again.
    1. open regedit, go to the key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Common\8\Sites and check out
how many site folders you have listed (starts with 0). poke though
the site folders, and make a note of the site that has the most
"Local Expanded Dir #" or "Remote Expanded Dir #" folders - its the
number of these entries you're after.
    2. create a .txt file, and add the following content:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Common\8\Sites\-Site0]
    "Local Expanded Dir 0"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 1"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 2"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 3"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 4"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 5"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 6"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 7"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 8"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 9"=-
    "Local Expanded Dir 10"=-
    "Local Expanded Dirs"=dword:00000000
    "Remote Expanded Dir 0"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 1"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 2"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 3"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 4"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 5"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 6"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 7"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 8"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 9"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dir 10"=-
    "Remote Expanded Dirs"=dword:00000000
    (blank line here)
    3. modify the code abot to include enough lines to cover your
noted number of "Local Expanded Dir #" and "Remote Expanded Dir #"
entries. just copy/paste the lines and change the numbers to match
    your needs.
    4. now select and copy all the lines in the file, and
repeatly paste them at the end of the file, changing the HKEY site
number (at the end of the KEY) after each paste, until you have
created a group of lines for each site in your configuration. YOU
MUST LEAVE A BLANK LINE AFTER EACH GROUPING - this tells regedit
that a new KEY will be used, and won't work correctly if you don't
    leave them.
    5. At the top of the file, add this line for Windows 2000, XP
    and Vista users:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    (blank line here)
    5. save the file, and rename the extension to ".reg".
    6. either double-click on the file to import it into the
registry, or open REGEDIT and import the file directly.
for my configuration, i created 100 lines for each of the
LOCAL and REMOTE sets (for these values, more is okay, as it's
telling the system to delete them, and if they don't exist, no big
deal), and duplicated the entire group 65 times. BE SURE TO LEAVE
    BLANK LINES WHERE INDICATED.
Makes for a very large REG file, but it cleaned out all the
problems at once. when it becomes a problem later, i can just
modify the file to include more site numbers, and fix it quickly
    again.
alan, thanks for the fix - i didn't find anything remotely
related during any google searches - just wasn't guessing the right
keywords i guess - so i finally thought to check dreamweaver forums
directly, and found it almost instantly.
Hope this helps the next person.
(edited to include references to blank lines - very critical
    to working correctly)

  • Expand/Collapse feature in table maintenance view

    Hello experts,
We have created a custom table and maintenace view.   For some table rows, the only key value difference is an EFFECTIVE DATE.   The generated table maintenace dialog by default "Collapses" the rows that only differ by Effective Date.  Using the Expand <-> Collapse button, we can see the missing detail for individual rows.
Can the maintenace dialog be expanded by default?

  • Cannot expand public folders in Outlook but can in OWA

    Hi All,
I have a problem which I hope some one might be able to shed some light on. Firstly, the environment is Exchange 2010 (v 14.01.0438.000) and all clients use Outlook 2007. We have one user in the organisation who recently noticed that he cannot expand public
folders. He had been able to do so a couple of months back but could not pin point the time it stopped working. The error received reads :-
"Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. The attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange has failed."
I thought that this might be a permissions issue but this particular user can access the public folders via OWA. Also, my AD account was a copy of this user's and I can access public folders without issue.
I have tried the following so far :-
Tried running Outlook in safe mode
    Tried recreating the Outlook profile.
Tried creating a new Outlook profile on a different client PC.
Tried running Outlook in cached an online modes.
Ran Exchange BPA and found no issues.
Checked ADSIedit for old administrative groups left over from past migrations.
used the test-outlook connectivity cmdlet from powershell which ran it's tests successfully.
This user originally set up all the public folders and was still listed as the owner of all of them.
Tried creating a new public folder.
Checked for an Outlook update that had caused a similar issue.
All the above failed to progress the situation. I have come across posts online that sound very similar, one stated that a Microsoft tech had found a permission that wasn't correct but didn't list which permission and the other related to an update to Outlook
that had triggered it. I can confirm it's not the update and I have checked permissions in the public folder management utility in Exchange. Also, my AD account is a copy of his and I can access the folders without issue.
I have also considered what may have changed on the network recently. The only major change has been a new admin password but I cannot see how that would be relevant.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

Hello John: We are having the exact same issue. Thank you for the great description, it hits the nail on the head for an issue that is tough to explain.   Did rebuilding the mailbox fix the problem? We thought a next step would be to create a new
AD profile for the user all together,  although replacing the user herself would be easier for us. She obviously caused this problem and will most likely cause us more problems that might be worse if she keeps clicking and sliding on every thing that
is shiny to see what it does..
I can only surmise that CaRa ChEn has decided to "better understand customer views on social support experience" elsewhere.  I think the only logic for the mailbox suggestion would be "grasping for straws" and it is the only thing you have not tried
so far.  (Other than replacing the user).  Pactera employees get points for being the first to reply to a question and the first to have a suggestion marked as helpful as well as the sheer quantity of replies to the forums that are made.  High
value is placed on moving posts to different forums as well so I thought I would ask quick before the thread gets shoveled somewhere else..  If she needs help with the interview project she can find plenty of my thoughts here in the community.
Thanks again, and we will reply back if replacing the user (account) does NOT solve the problem, otherwise one can assume we are happy campers again our new employee and remember just because it is blinking does not mean you should click on it.  :)

  • Expand/Collapse a block in a selection screen

    Hey Folks,
I have a requirement , where I have a selection screen, with 3 selection blocks. I have a requirement that I need to make 2 of these blocks expandible/collapsible on the toggle of a button.. How can this be achieved.
In case of a normal screen, I would have had to create the blocks as subscreens (one type of screen for expanded state...another for collapsed state) and called it from the main screen. But how do I achieve the same using the selection screens?
I was considering creating the blocks as subscreens in the selection screen and calling them in the PBO of the main selection screen. However, I am unsure if thats a wise thing to do since the screen is generated automatically in case of a selection screen and I do believe its not a good idea to manually alter it.
Does anyone has any pointers on this?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Puja.

  • [Forum FAQ] How to use parameter to control the Expand/Collapse drill-down options in SSRS report?

In SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), drill-down is an action we can apply to any report item to hide and show other report items. They all are ways that we can organize and display data to help our users understand our report better. In this article,
we are talking about how to use parameter to control the Expand/Collapse drill-down options in SSRS report.
Consider that the report has a dataset (dsSales) with following fields: SalesTerritoryGroup, SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear, SalesAmount.
    1. The report has the following group settings:
    Parent Group: SalesTerritoryGroup
     Child Group: SalesTerritoryCountry
      Child Group: CalendarYear
       Details: SalesAmount
    2. Add three parameters in the report:
    GroupExpand:
    Available Values: “Specify values”
    Label: Yes           Value: Yes
    Label: No            Value: No
    Default Values: “Specify values”
    Value: Yes
    CountryExpand:
    Available Values: “Specify values”
    Label: Yes           Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
    Label: No            Value: No
    Default Values: “Specify values”
    Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
    YearExpand:
    Available Values: “Specify values”
    Label: Yes
    Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
    Label: No            Value: No
    Default Values: “Specify values”
    Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
    3. Right click SalesTerritoryCountry icon in the Row Groups dialog box, select Group Properties.
    4. Click Visibility in the left pane. Select “Show or hide based on an expression” and type with following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
Select “Display can be toggled by this report item” option, and select “SalesTerritoryGroup” in the drop down list.
    5. Use the same method setting CalendarYear, (Details) drill-down with following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
    =IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
    6. Click SalesTerritoryGroup text box in the tablix. Select InitialToggleState property in the Properties dialog box, and type following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
    7. Use the same method setting SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear text box with following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
    =IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
After that, when we preview the report, we can use these three parameters to expand/collapse drill-down.
    Note:
In our test, we may meet following issue. We can check the expression of InitialToggleState property to troubleshooting the issue.
    Applies to
    Reporting Services 2008
    Reporting Services 2008 R2
    Reporting Services 2012

Consider that the report has a dataset (dsSales) with following fields: SalesTerritoryGroup, SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear, SalesAmount.
    1. The report has the following group settings:
    Parent Group: SalesTerritoryGroup
     Child Group: SalesTerritoryCountry
      Child Group: CalendarYear
       Details: SalesAmount
    2. Add three parameters in the report:
    GroupExpand:
    Available Values: “Specify values”
    Label: Yes           Value: Yes
    Label: No            Value: No
    Default Values: “Specify values”
    Value: Yes
    CountryExpand:
    Available Values: “Specify values”
    Label: Yes           Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
    Label: No            Value: No
    Default Values: “Specify values”
    Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
    YearExpand:
    Available Values: “Specify values”
    Label: Yes
    Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No",Nothing,"Yes")
    Label: No            Value: No
    Default Values: “Specify values”
    Value: =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="No" or Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="No","No","Yes")
    3. Right click SalesTerritoryCountry icon in the Row Groups dialog box, select Group Properties.
    4. Click Visibility in the left pane. Select “Show or hide based on an expression” and type with following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
Select “Display can be toggled by this report item” option, and select “SalesTerritoryGroup” in the drop down list.
    5. Use the same method setting CalendarYear, (Details) drill-down with following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
    =IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", False, True)
    6. Click SalesTerritoryGroup text box in the tablix. Select InitialToggleState property in the Properties dialog box, and type following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!GroupExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
    7. Use the same method setting SalesTerritoryCountry, CalendarYear text box with following expression:
    =IIF(Parameters!CountryExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
    =IIF(Parameters!YearExpand.Value="Yes", True, False)
After that, when we preview the report, we can use these three parameters to expand/collapse drill-down.
    Note:
In our test, we may meet following issue. We can check the expression of InitialToggleState property to troubleshooting the issue.
