Expand picture in picture to full screen?

I am making a video of a newcast type deal, and I have anchors introduce the clip while looking at it in the top left corner which I have playing there, but is there a way to make it expand from that top corner to take up full, or split, screen while playing?

Ok so I have got to find some tutorials then. Because I was lost in your explanation. Is the apple pro training stuff worth buying? What about Lynda.com, is it good or still up to date?
I had the two videos, one track above the other, and to adjust the keyframe of video two, you have to open the motion tab right, but it is not real time, or real size. Because I can't see the size to get the scale correct. Or the timing to match it with video one so that one shrinked at same time two scaled up. Does my convoluded attempt to explain make any sense? Sorry about that.
BTW, any idea if in final cut there is a way, or premade deal, to have a video tape melting effect?
Thanks again for all your help. Really helpful.

  • Call Display Picture Always Full Screen (I don't want that)

There are a few discussions about this, but they all seem to be over 4 years old, and I still have the problem.  (Please read the whole explanation, as I've tried several fixes already)
I am extremelly picky with my computer and phone "stuff".  Ever since I've owned my iPhone I've made it a point to add a picture to every contact I have.
Early in my iPhone ownership I realized that if you add a picture directly from your iPhone (wether is taking it directly from the iPhone cam while adding the contact or choosing from the library) such picture shows FULL screen when I call that person or when that person calls me.  If I simply open Address Book in my Mac and "drag" a picture (say for instance from Facebook) into the picture section of that contact and then synch, then when I make or receive a call from that person it shows small and I still see my wallpaper on the background.
Well THAT's what I want (just like in the Appple commercials), I DON'T want the full screen picture.
    Now here's THE PROBLEM;
For some reason NOW, I STILL add pictures the SAME WAY (I go into Facebook, and drag the picture into Address Book) but when I make or receive a call from that person the display picture ALWAYS shows full screen!!  It's annoying the heck out of me!!
The ONLY thing different is that now my contact are synched thru iCloud as opposed to synching using a USB cable in iTunes, HOWEVER, SOME contacts show how they are supposed to show (even adding them thru iCloud), but MOST others don't! I feel I should add that ALL contacts I had BEFORE I strated synching with iCloud still show fine, the ones that have a problem are MOST (but not all) of the ones I added AFTER I started synching thru iCloud.  And the fact that a few worked fine leads me to believe there's got to be a way of making them all show small.
Anyone has any idea of how to keep them ALL the same?

OK, that's interesting.  Now, how do I get all of my contact photos into iPhoto? And do I have to do this one contact at a time, or is there a setting where I can "import all".  Furthermore, once all photos are in iPhoto and I select "Import Face from iPhoto" can I do such actions for all contacts at once or do I have to do them one at a time?

I've imported an iPhoto library from a disc to my iPhoto 09 account,
    What exactly did you do?
Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

  • Can't see pictures in full screen mode

This is my new Mac Computer. Some of the pictures can not be viewed except as thumbnails. (When I try to see in full screen mode, there is a quick 1 second view, then a grey screen with an I in the middle and a dotted line surrounding it. There is no rhyme nor reason why some photos can been seen in full mode and some can only be seen as thumbnail.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder. Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?
If you haven't, then try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

  • IOS 5 displays contact picture in full screen...

Does anyone know if this is one of the changes in iOS 5? Since iPhone 2G, I would set a contact image on my CPU and it would display as a thumbnail as apposed to the entire screen.
    Thanks for looking.

    Dear arob615,
    Reduce the resolution.
The picture will display as thumbnail on the phone when a call comes in.
Since Mountain Lion I had full screen caller pictures even when assigned in the OS X adress book.
In my case I reduced the picture to 64 x 64 pixels.
Then it showed as thumbnail as calls came in.
I don't know where the exact maximum pixel size for thumbnail display is.
If you find out, tell us.
This bugged me a long time and I would enjoy if this could help you.
    Best regards

  • Why No Picture When Full Screen Button Is Pressed?

When I open up IPhoto all the thumbnails load OK. Yesterday I tried to show my grandson some of his younger pictures taken 3 years ago by hitting the Full Screen button. What we saw was a dotted frame with an exclamation mark inside. To my dismay many of my older pictures display the same thing. How do I solve this problem?

If you deleted pictures then you moved and altered things. Then rebuilding won't work.
You'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
Remember: It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss
You do everything in the iPhoto Window - there is simply never a need to do anything in the iPhoto Library Folder. Ever.
To delete pics: in the iPhoto Window put them in the iPhoto trash and then go iPhoto Menu -> Empty Trash. This removes pics from the Library and the HD.

  • AE CC - Timeline expands to project length after full screen preview

This seems to have only started happening recently, and it's a pain. After you preview an effect in full screen, the time navigator brackets are pulled to the very start and end of the video. You return from a fullscreen video preview to see your timeline extended over the whole duration of the project.
Is there some way to turn this off? I frequently work on small sections of a project, regularly watching full-screen previews to check how various changes look, and after the tenth or so time what starts as a minor irritation becomes completely infuriating. It seems like something easily fixed, but I've had no luck finding out how.
    Thanks in advance.

Ah, okay, this is a more interesting problem than I thought. Sorry I didn't put that info in before; my assumption was this was a poorly-considered feature which could be easily turned off and I was just too dumb to figure out how.
I'm on Windows 7 x64, running AE version 12.2.1.5 (as far as I'm aware this is the latest version). I haven't done anything dramatic with my PC lately or with AE settings. If it helps, I'm running with: an Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.4GHz, 16GB RAM, using an Nvidia GeForce GT530.

  • Unable to view picture in full screen

When I double click a picture in iPhoto, it brings up a black screen.  Same thing when I try and do a slideshow -- the pictures do not show up.  Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
    1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
    2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
    3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
    4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
    5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    If none of these help:
    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • Can't look at pictures in full screen mode?

I have an iPod touch 5th generation 32GB model. It is fairly new, only almost one year old. I have kept it in mint condition. The problem is, if I take a picture with either the front or rear camera, it will appear when I am looking at all of my photos in the album, but if I click it - it changes to just a blank white page. Pictures I save to my iPod do not do this and neither do screencaps, although I haven't tried those yet I'm pretty sure they still work. Anyone else with this problem? I hate not being able to take pictures and look at them anymore. I am an avid amateur photographer and love to take pictures; but how can I do that without a functioning camera and photo system? I want my camera to work again! Please help.
    Thank you!
    All information is appreciated.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - backup he iPod and restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Can't get full screen view- how do I expand the browser window to full screen

A portion of the available screen is used to display open tabs. I want the browser to fill the whole view screen. Is there a way to do this? I am running Firefox on an android tablet.

You should be able to "swipe" the tabs list away. Press with your finger near the line that separates the tab list from the webpage, and drag to the left.

  • Full screen mode: Picture becomes for one second blur

Now I noticed an additional strange behaviour.
I rendered all preview during the day.
I review all my pictures in full screen mode:
    Open next picture
    The whole picture is sharp
One second later: The picture becomes a little bit blur
An additional second later: The picture is sharp again
Open next picture: same happens again...
Open previous picture: It does not happen
    Any idea?

It does also automatically update the previews. And you don't have to invoke that manually :-(
Indeed. - I've always had a love/hate relationship with Lightroom - so cool in so many ways, and falls short in so many others...
If you're going to use it, you have to work around (or work with/within) it's limitations... - sorry.
