Expanding email signature options in iphoto 08

When I email one photo from an open event in iphoto, I am provided with signature options. One option is one of my 4 email account addresses, and the other option is "no signature".
I would like to have all my email account addresses appear as signature options.
I have looked through the mail preferences and the iphoto preferences, but cannot find a solution. Anyone know the solution to this one? Thanks.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That would be best answered in the Mail and Address Book forum.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How can i add graphics to email signature

When I copy an HTML email signature into my ipad signature bar in settings. I pasted and shook and undid. I can see it fine. It was even visible when i sent my self a test to my Windows laptop. But it works intermittently. When I went to reply to an incoming emial, it failed again to shoe the graphic, only the text.

Set your Graphics App as an external editor in iPhoto
In order of price here are some suggestions:
    Seashore (free)
    The Gimp (free)
    Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
    Acorn ($50 approx)
    Pixelmator ($50 approx)
    Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

  • What is the best way to email a video from iPhoto? It won't let me share a video!

what is the best way to email a video from iPhoto? It won't let me share a video!

Size is not the issue. In the old iPhoto you used to be able to share a video and it would compress it to fit an email friendly size. It doesn't do that anymore from iPhoto. I miss that feature. I have to export the video from iPhoto to my desktop then take into the old Quicktime 7 to share in email. Crazy.
It shouldn't be that complicated. I shouldn't have to find a work around. I guess apple wants to put  you in a box so you have to do it "their way" via uploading to iWeb or iCloud instead of emailing video.
I don't like those options being taken away.  While the quality may suffer by compressing for email, it is still the most direct and unconvoluted way of sharing something fairly quickly. I don't want to have to post to YouTube or Vimeo or iCloud and send a link. Just compress the video and hit send in an email and be done with it.

  • Sharing photos by email from iPhoto 11 takes far too long. Easier to specify email via Mail in iPhoto Preferences and forget the fancy presentation in iPhoto.

Though there is an attractive range of photo presentation options in iPhoto email sharing, the time taken to send an image using these is inordinately long: 4-5 minutes for a single image. Added to this is all the confusion created by 'unrecognised username and password' error messages. All in all; though it's a pity given the sophistication of the new options, it is easier and much faster to set the email option to Mail in the iPhoto General Preferences. An unfortunate shot in the foot by Apple I think.

iPhoto menu -> Provide iPhoto Feedback is the route to the Developers.
Also, remember that the Stationery feature in Mail has more templates - and you can download others too.

  • Photo size options fails to work when selecting mail option in iphoto

photos being sent via the mail option in iphoto seem to be set at a default of 130kb!! Regardless of which of the sizing options I select. I have taken to moving the photos to the desktop then putting them in a folder and attaching to the email as a way of getting around this problem. If I do the above without putting the jpeg into a folder it also gets reduced automatically to 130kb. I have then had problems with people receiving the photos sent in an attached folder not being able to open them. Given that the iphoto/mail option in all previous OSX worked fine what do I have to do to get the old functionality back?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
You also need to check the size option in the bottom right corner of the New Mail Message window:

  • How do I activate the "Signature" options of a PDF document created 11/8/13

How do I activate the "Signature" options on a PDF document?

    Hi Spud640,
Click the Sign button on the toolbar to open the Sign panel
The panel is divided into three sections, expand the I Need to Sign section
Click the Place Signature button under Fill & Sign
Select the Draw my signature radio button
Use your mouse to create a signature in the large edit field
    Click the Accept button
At this point the cursor is the signature, where ever you click in the file will place this image,
Unless you clear the signature, the next time you select the Place Signature button you won't see the dialog above, it will just go right to turning the cursor into your signature.

  • Formatting font in email signature

Is it possible to format the font in my email signature?  At the moment it seems to be locked into a specific font and size and I can't make it smaller (like it is in my Outlook) or see any way to do it in the handset itself.  I inserted it via the desktop software in email options.  Can I edit the font from the handset?

There is no way to edit that separetly from the rest of the font on the device.

  • Email Signature Problems

I have created a new email signature, but it simply will not appear as an option on the pull-down menu when I create a new message. The system also refuses to acknowledge and insert the signature I designated as the default signature. It should appear in every message I create. What can I do?
I have restarted the mail program, restarted the computer, and even logged out and logged back in, but nothing seems to work.
Oddly, I can edit the existing signatures and the edits do show up immediately.

No. But I did figure out the problem. It's kind of a "duh" thing actually.
I have inactive POP accounts that I was adding sigs to instead of the active IMAP accounts.
Once I figured that out, everything was fine.
    Thanks for your reply nonetheless.

  • Exporting Email Signature

I am trying to export an email signature that I designed in InDesign to a JPEG format.
What's the best options to use to avoid the email signature going fuzzy when I put it into the signatures section in Microsoft Outlook?

If the signature is a mix of text and a logo, then it's probably better done as HTML with the logo in GIF format, preferably hosted and linked to in the HTML. This will prevent it being received as an attachment, which can be quite annoying for the recipient, especially after a few forwards when they only want a specific attachment. There's a trick to force Outlook into using the hosted image rather than producing an attachment, using the nosend="1" tag.
Except for maybe producing an initial visual, I wouldn't even involve InDesign.
Here's a guide to getting your HTML into Outlook:
    http://mydesignpad.com/how-to-install-html-email-signature-for-microsoft-outlook-2010-wind ows/
Different mail clients' rendering of HTML can be pretty hit and miss, but as complete HTML novice, I found the sample HTML here to be a great basis that works well on all the clients I tried:

  • Adding logo or image to email signature

I have added my logo (a jpeg image) to my email signature. When I send an email to someone else who is using an Apple mail program it opens up fine. However, when I send an email to someone who is using, for example, a yahoo mail account, the logo does not show up on the actual email, it shows as an attachment that must be clicked on to open.
Does anyone know how to embed an actual logo/image onto an email signature so that it will be seen in an email regardless of what type of email program they are using without having to click on it? thanks

    Jessie,
I would love to help you (and anyone else in your situation), but it seems I can't duplicate your problem. I read your post before going to work this morning, and I sent myself an email (from Mail at home to Lotus Notes at work) with a signature containing a JPEG. Notes, arguable the worst email client out there, showed the JPEG in-line.
I don't have Outlook or Outlook Express, so I cannot test those, but I'd be happy to receive an email from you so I can see what comes across. You need to send it to my work email because that's the only place I have an email client other than Mail running. The address is dkiechle followed by an @-sign followed by amadeus.com.
We can do the opposite as well: I can try to send a test email to one of the addresses that you used to see if my signature shows up with the graphics element in-line. Would be pretty instructive, I think. I can do this if you provide an address; however, I can only do it in a few hours from home as I don't have Mail here at the office.
One interesting thing to check: in Mail, there's an option to "Always send Windows-friendly attachments". Can you check if it is enabled or disabled in your configuration of Mail?

  • Email Signatures Missing From Reply and Forwarded Messages

Email signatures do not work for reply and forwarded emails. Signature work normally for emails I write.
I have 4 email accounts and 3 HTML signature identities. For each account I've enabled signatures for reply and forward in the Composition and Addressing menu option. I've tried restarting TB in safe mode by holding shift key. Nothing works. I cannot use signatures for any email accounts or identities for replies and forwards.
Help please. Something is broken. I have latest version of TB.

    Anybody can help?

  • Email signatures, to (include) images or not, that is the question!

We just had this discussion internally and decided against it.  When they work, they look good, but when they don't work, signatures full of picture place holders look terrible.  I think it really depends on what kind of business your company is in and whether there is a benefit to the recipient to get a little web page in every email you send.

Greetings all,I am looking at options for email signatures for a client. I have used Exclaimer in the past for in-house Exchange servers and like it. I am trialing the Office365 version presently.Just looking for thoughts on if you include images any more in email signatures? I'm talking company logo at a min and a few social media icons and links at a maximum. I note gmail now block embedded images (and I'm sure they're not alone) and we're all familiar with mail clients that will block the other option, web based images and give the option of downloading them. There's much to be said for a nice looking signature I think with a good logo and but not OTT, whilst there is also much to be said for a simple text based approach and nobody receiving broken images or blocked links when they open your mail. What say my fellow spiceheads?...

  • Email Signature HTML

    Hello,
How can I use an Email signature that I have created in HTML on my Iphone Signature when I send Email from my Iphone
    Thanks

I'm not talking about myspace-esque emails with odd fonts and gifs. I'm talking about creating informative emails that empower the users to include content that is meaningful. If I want to blast off a quick instruction in HTML email, I can provide headings with a bulleted list of tasks. With those tasks I can insert a picture that helps them follow along with what they need to do without having to open separate docs or navigate to a different area. Since I can do this in my email program, I don't have to use a different program to make this come together.
How is HTML a crutch? I'd like you to provide me a detailed email report with a chart and key points that will give me an overview of your argument before I dive in. I'm a busy man, I don't have time to read your wall of text. I have people to impress and bulletpoints to address. I can't risk looking like everything came from a typewriter when the world's marching forth with iWork, Office, and OpenOffice. If I can integrate these office tools in my email client? Bam, I'm there.
We aren't on a BBS, we aren't all using vi.
However, it's important to make rules and play by the rules

I don't see the point in trying to get upset over MS, either. I find that all camps have had something to offer, and are equally evil/at fault in their own way
For edification, Outlook includes options such as converting all text to plaintext because they have an overwhelming habit of trying to please everyone, which is both a minus and plus - and it's part of the reason it's hard for anyone to move away from exchange server.
OK, so the only phone I'm aware of that does HTML composition from a brand new email is Windows Mobile, and it does it in a very basic form.
However, we have recently seen iPhones, Blackberries, and Androids sending HTML as replies, and all can view HTML. Since Androids are open source, there's a ton of people busily attempting apps to solve this issue as well.
I think this points to the case that the mobile hardware is catching up to desktop hardware more than anything else, and people are trying to figure out how to make email maintain a good look on a smaller screen.
It just disappoints me mightily to see that my iPhone just got trumped by a Samsung ACE.
