Experience Using CE for publishing BPMN Processes for documentation?

Dear all,
has anybody some experience in using the Netweaver CE for publishing BPMN Processes only for documentation purpose? One part of our process pools contains only processes, that will not be used for process automation within CE Applications. We want to do do it this way, because theese processes describes our business on a higher level.

You can write a Java program using the BOE SDK that does that. HEre are some examples:

Using formula in price determination process for PO

Hi, dear experts,
I would like to define some conditions types for purchasing orders that allow me to calculate an insurance amount using the formula:
Insurance = [CF)((C+F)10%)]T
Where: C is the Gross price, F is the Freight and T is a factor that the user has to input
For that, I define a condition type for gross price, for the freight and for the T value
How can I have to define a condition type to do this operation?
On the other hand, the freight is a percentage of the gross price, but for this operation I need the amount, how can I make reference to this amount? (Result of gross price * freight (%))
Also, there is a link where can I find information regarding the price determination process?

Hi,
You can store (surely you have them in data) the data for C and F in values that you can config in pricing procedure in the field 'SubTo'. After, you can obtain the amount with a formula VOFM and set it in M/08 in field 'AltCTy'. You can check this links to know how to do it:

Job getting cancelled for 'Chain not processed for date-2007031920070318' ?

Hi All,
We have 2 process chains running only on weekdays - one for sales and the other for billing. A cancelled job is created for one of the process chains with the job log message as 'Chain not processed for date-2007031920070318' for the not run days whereas the other does not have any issues though the same monitor job program runs for both. The difference is only in the variant but nothing much other than that its maintained for 2 different chains.
   We also debugged the monitor job program. It basically does nothing other than displaying messages depending on the status of the chain log.
Please let me know your suggestions as to why it happens.

What are the requirements for publishing an App for private distribution, not sale.

I need to create an App in English and 4 other languages for private distribution to individuals. What are the requirements for doing this please? I currently have a just a Single Edition license. Am I right in understanding I need a Cloud subscription and an Apple Developer subscription also?

My client desire is to only make their accessible to paying members requiring a sign–in before download. Does this fall into a private distribution deployment.

Return Process for Depot Excise Billing.

We are following Depot Excise Billing Process. Where we are using Stock Transport Purchase Order Process for transferring the goods from Mfg.Plant to Depot.
Now, we require return process for returning the Goods from Depot to Mfg. Plant. Please also confirm Excise Register needs to be updated? If yes, please tell us the transaction for the same.

I have followed the procedure given. However, in J1IEX transaction system gives me error message "Excise Invoice 9001000027 28.05.2008 of plant 410027 does not exist"
Where Excise Invoice 9001000027/28.05.2008 is the number generated in T.Code J1IJ. And 410027 is Vendor code.
Please give your valuable suggession to solve the issue.

   BPM process is a very useful tool as the name suggest ccBPM when ever you want to model your soultion hitting different systems, Also helps in controling and monitoring complex integration solution process.
    As it uses SAP workflow engine behind it is very effective in building complex soultion.
    some simple scenarios could be
     Wait for more than one input and start your integration process..
     Raising alerts, exceptions and so on...

Process for customising BC site templates

Hi,
I've been looking through BC Gurus which is great, although quite in depth, I should explain I am very new to BC and Web design in general. Whilst looking around the net it suggests it would be quicker to take a BC template and customise for my clients needs.
However, I can not find any decent tutorials for a sensible process for taking a template and customising. I suspect I should be looking to edit the main site CSS file and default template, but is that correct?
In a nutshell, I took the Halftone template, applied to my site, synced with Dreamweaver, now what! I can't even find how to change the logo
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Grant, The forums are very active.
There are a number of us that are not fans of the - just edit templates to create clients sites so some of us wont comment on this. But in terms of what your asking is quite broad, its a lot to do with HTML and CSS and Javascript knowledge.. on top of that BC knowledge as well.
A logo change is going to the content holder or part of the template where the logo is and changing the image html. This is more standard html and css knowledge and people spend a long time learning this and a wealth of information. I do not use templates for example so I can only give a broad answer on how to edit html for example. If you need to learn html and css stuff there is a million and one things out there. In the guide section on these forums there are docs about things and also links to guide sites like BC Gurus to help learn BC and this stuff.
So it is quite hard to post a helpful response so I guess that is why you not got a reply.

With the help of parallel processing procedures, you can significantly improve the runtime of the total planning run.
To process in parallel, you can either select various sessions on the application server or various servers.
Parallel processing runs according to packages using the low-level code logic:
The work package, with a fixed number of materials that are internally defined in the program, is distributed over the individual servers/sessions. Once a server/session has finished processing a package, it starts processing the next package.
If a low-level code is being planned, the servers/sessions that have finished must wait until the last server/session has finished its package to avoid inconsistencies. Then the next low-level code is processed per packages.
The parallel processing procedure is switched on in the initial screen of total planning.
Activities
Define the application server with the number of sessions that can be used:
If you want to define various servers for parallel processing, enter the server with the number of sessions.
If you only want to use one server, but several sessions, enter the application server and the appropriate number of sessions.
Further notes
Parallel processing shortens the time required for calculation, however, it cannot shorten the database time as the system still only operates using one database.

Does SAP Support Open tendering process for Vendor Selection.
I men in my clients scenario. For vendor selection process for any material starts with advertisement of tender in newspaper. Vendor replies back with his quotation. After receiving technical and commercial quotation, the organization go for technical bidding and those who qualify in technical bidding they contest for commercial bidding. After commercial bidding, comparative statement is prepared and then purchase committee approves the vendor. The problem is that any no. of vendors from any where can give their reply to the tender as it is a government organization. So, how to map this process in SAP as we are not directly sending RFQ to the vendor, instead he reply back with quotation directly once he sees the advertisement in newspaper.
I want you all to suggest me whether to keep this process in SAP or out of SAP. waiting for your response.

Thanks for your response. My problem is that the organization advertise its tender in newspaper of all india circulation and seeing that tender vendor reply back with quotation. They don't identify who all are the vendors to whom RFQ is send. only when reply of vendor comes with quotation client comes to know about the vendors submitting quotation. Normally one vendor is selected for one material and 20 to 25 vendors give their quotation. Is it feasible to bring those 25 vendors in SAP if only one will be selected. Because in any way, for any processing we need to create vendor in SAP. So do we need to create 25 vendors, though we know we require only one finally. Can you please clarify this issue. If you want I can mail you the whole process map.

How to Schedule a BPMN process to run at a particular time everyday?

I have a timer start event for a BPMN process. I am using BPM 11g. I want that my process should trigger automatically everyday at 7pm. Can anyone please assist how to achieve this.
I have tried to put in Time Cycle tab, *0 Months 1 Days 19:0:0*, but it is not working. Please help.

Have the start event kick off in 24 hour cycles using a Start Timer event -> add an exclusive gateway that tests to see if it is after 7pm -> add a sequence flow to handle if is before 7pm -> add a Catch Timer event in the sequence flow using the logic in the previous post in the sequence flow that handles before 7pm -> add another sequence flow from the Exclusive Gateway to handle after 7pm -> add a Catch Timer event in this sequence flow using the logic in the previous post in the sequence flow -> the logic in this timer is the same except you'd add 24 hours (43) so that it kicks off tomorrow.

Inside my process I need to know what kind of node is coming inside de BIR (URI or Binary) to copy it to the correct variable type. I've tryed using the XPath Expessions provided by the IDE (+ora:instanceOf(XpathExpression, QName)+) but I had no results.
Please someone who can guide me?, I'll appreciate any help. I'm new in XPath.

As I see it you should use transformations not associations in such case. Within transformation (xslt) you should use XPath expression to test which of the concrete instance of the base type you are dealing with and proceed accordingly. That's bit ugly (depending on actual subelements to distinguish types) so there are two alternatives:
1. use xsi:type in xml instance - an attribute which will directly indicate the type of the element (many java xml binding frameworks can output such attribute while marshalling types to xml)
2. remodel your xsd to use substitution groups - the construct is similar but due to nature of substitution groups each concrete type will have a separate named element - easy to distinguish later in transformation

Approval-process for publishing documents in Collaboration-Room

Hi @ all,
is it possible to use a approval-process for publishing documents form the private document store of a collaboration room to the public one? I it is, how I have to do it, I have no idea?!?
Or is there a way to give specific users the right to publish a document.

I'm not sure about publishing from private to public. However, you can set-up folders in the Collaboration rooms to enable State Management. To do this, you'll need to use a system principal to alter the permissions on the specific Collaboration room document folder.
