I had searched quite a lot on this issue and had idea that it might be due to firewall settings..
but sadly, I don't know the solution. Well, you have seen the entire code that I wrote and exception too, Could you suggest me a way out? or any specific firewall setting or a workaround?

Experienced IT consultant - but confused...

I have several IT clients for whom I manage their computers/networks remotely. I have their dynamic hosts setup along with the appropriate ports forwarded so that I have access from anywhere. My issue is that sometimes, depending on my location info (Current Status, Info, Application, User, etc) sometimes is available on each computer and sometimes it's not. In fact, sometimes it tells me that the computer is offline - yet I'm still able to view/control it. This same problem occured before I upgraded to ARD 3.
For example, in one location I have a semi-complex setup involving a cable modem, a wired router, and two AX's w/ some ports forwarded. When I'm online at that location, I'm able to access see all my clients' info remotely - and even upgrade their client software! When I'm connected from a simple setup at a different location (cable modem with one AX), I can't see any info or upgrade any client software...but I can take control or and view their computers.
So what gives? Any thoughts on the subject would be much appreciated...

My first suggestion would be to check the routers/firewalls at your locations to make sure TCP and UDP port 3283 is open. Observe and control uses a different port (5900, the VNC port), so it's entirely possible to be able to view or control a system but, if 3283 is blocked, not be able to do anything else.

Moving from WSUS to SCCM12, users experiencing a lot of problems

I just have to ask:
Is Microsoft Security Software Updates from Windows Update installed the EXACT same way when it comes from SCCM12 compared to downloaded from WSUS servers?
In my experience, it does not seem so. I have now ran this for 2 months and we have
experienced a LOT of problems. The problems are: Office updates seem to stop Microsoft Outlook from contacting server, and Software Center shows that the computer is waiting for a restart or updates seemingly to be stuck on 0% and other
problems.
This solution was set up in cooperation with an experienced CM-consultant from Microsoft.
I have never ever seen that Microsoft updates break Outlook, even SP1-upgrades when they come from the Windows update service. I wonder if updates are installed differently when using CM12?

With ConfigMgr, WSUS is only responsible for providing the update catalog (and EULAs) to the managed systems. Actual updates (the binaries) are delivered using the ConfigMgr infrastructure.
As explicitly stated by Torsten above, the Windows Update Agent (WUA) on managed systems performs the update applicability scan against the update catalog and installs the updates that ConfigMgr delivers to the managed system. Also note that the binaries
that ConfigMgr delivers are downloaded from the exact same place that WSUS would download them so these are the same also just delivered using a slightly different mechanism. Thus, from the managed system's perspective, there is no difference whatsoever except
in when the process happens.
The GPO you speak of isn't pointing the WUA to your ConfigMgr server, it's pointing it to the WSUS instance controlled by the SUP role in ConfigMgr. In its default state/configuration, the ConfigMgr agent sets a local group policy for this. Using a domain
group policy would simply overwrite this but it is still controlling where the WUA points to get the update catalog regardless of which policy is enforced.
Thus, once again, it's the same thing as far as the managed system is concerned.

LabVIEW consultant required in Ballarat, Australia

I have an automotive test machine running a LabVIEW interface, controlled by a NI acquisition card.
It would be polite to describe the machine as "legacy". The entire machine is dinosaur era. The NI / LabVIEW upgrade was done in-house by somebody long since departed. The hardware belongs in a museum and the control PC has been running on borrowed time for at least a decade.
I need an experienced LabVIEW consultant to bring the machine back up to date; replace hardware with current supported models, and update software to suit.

Now a days the SAP jobs for SD consultants are very less but for MM consultants jobs are there in the market. Co's dnt event hire the experienced SD consultants also because now a days new dimensional courses takes place of the SD like SRM, CRm etc..

I've noticed that there are lot of MII implementors who are unfamiliar with the terminology, systems, and processes in the manufacturing world. I would definitely recommend obtaining this book and reading it from cover to cover!

It is written in a format that presents a manufacturing company from many perspectives : planning, operations, maintenance, and others. While an expert might find it somewhat redundant, I think that many of the less experienced MII consultants would derive great value from it.

ALV Grid sub total issue

I have 2 questions.
First, as you can see, I have 2 subtotal for 1.Rev eventhough 1.Rev actually only need one subtotal because there is no subgroup for 1.Rev. Is it possible to have only one subtotal for this 1.Rev but I still maintained 2 subtotal for 2.Cost because 2.Cost has subgroup?
My 2nd issue is I need to insert another row exactly below Subtotal FIELD1 (2.Cost) row like this:
Gross Margin
(Some formula)
This row does not come from any sub total. The problem is I can not just insert this column and put Gross Margin description in FIELD1 because I will have 3 row like below :

Is there any way I can insert Gross Margin Row without creating new subtotal for it so it will only have one line in the ALV Grid table? Please help. Thank you.

I'm not posting this before I search everywhere and this is not the first time I post in this forum so I know what I should do before posting. If I miss something, maybe you can give me at least a hint whether it can be done or not.
This report that I am using is ALV Grid using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY function module and not OOP using dialog module. I never said I need sample code because I only want to know is there a way to do that using ALV Grid which until now I will say that SAP ALV grid has this limitation where you can not insert row without including it in the subtotal.
So, I would be very thankful if someone can give me some clarity on this thing and Vijay, if you really don't know what is the answer, I really appreciate if you can hold your self from making that kind of reply. It does not need experienced ABAP Consultant to write such remarks. Thanks.

Value Mapping in XI. Is it a curse or blessing?

Dear Experts,
We are using XI extensively for few B2B scenarios, we are using Value mapping in XI extensively to map the values of like Material,valuation type etc.
We are not finding the value mapping user freindly to deal with as now the load is increasing.
1. I would like to know is there any alternative for this in XI.
2. Please provide me the detail help of Value mapping, what more i can do to make it flexible. All documents on value mapping is wlecome.

it's always good to ask en experienced XI consultant before making decitions like storing material mapping
in value mapping table
this is not a place to do it:
a) how can business users add some more values ? (do business users have access to ID?)
b) SAP bast practice documents say that VM tables should not be used for high volumes
if you do the material mapping there are two ways:
either map in sender/receiver system
or use the SOA approach and do a sync call in a mapping to a MDM database
so my proposal - remove value mapping now for material mapping as you will do it later anyway

Archived fi_documnt documents retrieval

Hi,
When I am doing the fi_documnt archiving,the write job got cancelled because of the system restart.so job got cancelled.
But still I have deleted atleast the written files.Afer that I found that I have archived the extra doc also.So trying to read the documents from sara but it is taking too much time to read.I did not do the post processing also because I have read in the forum that it will delete some more docs also and I am worried so I did not do post processing.Each file is around 1000 mb and also the files are in the diferent server nfs mounted to the local system.After 4-9 hours of run,it is throwing an error "TSV_TNEW_OCCURS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY" or some times "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED".So i could not able to read the data.
Is any other way to read the datas.Since I did not do the post processing,

Two things..
1st. If your WRITE job failed you should have fix it status before proceeding any further. What did youd delete? the files in the transfer directory?... you can't play with this you need consistency.
2nd. You need to create infostructure to populate the contents of the archived data. this is essential.
I think you should be careful and talk to an experienced archiving consultant before proceeding any further.

HR Implementation

Hi all,
Im currently facing a problem of plenty. That is to say, too much to look at, but dont know where to start.
Disclaimer: Possible spoilers ahead.
So, a little bit of background before I get into the real issue. Im work in a Real Estate organisation which has implemeted SAP. I(ABAPer) take care of all development/support issues. We have currently implemented FI, SD, MM and PS modules. The management has recently decided to include the HR module too. And Im supposed to submit a feasibility report on the same.
So Ive been trying to gather as much information as possible about the HR Module. Im trying to read as much info as possible in HR/HCM forums, help.sap.com, Wikis et al.
Which is were the problem of plenty comes in. Too much info, spread across various platforms. After close to 2 days of searching I feel Ive reached back to square one.
Anyways, I need to get some information regarding :
1) Licensing issues with SAP. What needs to be done with respect to implenting this extra module.
2) Pre-requisites for Configuration of HR module, blah blah blah
I would just like to know whats a good starting point to read-up on before implementing HR. Any help on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the case i saw in ORG first they hire(on Contract) some experienced HR consultant(Not Fake) and done implementation with them but importantly some in-house person(Who have HR domain EXP) are also involved in all phase of SAP configuration and implementation so that they can handle after they(experienced HR consultant which was on Contract) released.Soon after them these person are responsible for all further configuration/modification in SAP.
When I was talking about going for an external consultant I was talking about precisely the same thing you said above. I would be involved with the HR configuration/development part of it from the beginning. Once the basic configurations/developments are done the external consultant is sent back and we carry-on from there. Infact this is the trend we have been following here. We had one ABAP consultant from IBM(our implementation partner) for the first month of the Realisation stage and since then it has been taken care of by myself and my colleague. BI was also done the same way. Now we are onto HR and then CRM and then possibly Workflow, SCM blah blah blah...
Believe me bro Don't miss this chance it would be once in a while case and you would be on top of the world.
I would be a fool to miss out on such an opportunity.

1. what type output messages used for PO?
2. How to trigger neu type output message for particular PO?
3. How to delete neu type output message for particular PO?
4.which program or batch job will trigger message for PO and where to found that particular job or program?
5.whether it is automatically triggered or need trigger manually?
Here I have issue ,i have some PO's among them some of PO's issuing neu type message even they deleted manually earlier.
some of them are not issuing message.
please help me to resolve this issue
